Now and in the Christian radio show and in the snow has never been to Rome is the cars melt do you like that smell or would you prefer to have accomplished compost pile underneath your seat which that songwriter will going to tell you about it creates great warmth after radiator with the compost pile underneath the seat but you know what the question that I would love to ask you is what is the secret to getting or keeping that new car smell. 866-34-TRUTH 87884 866-34-TRUTH@there's new car smell all over your life.

I don't know if you ever noticed that know God's nostrils are getting a smell of most anything is going on, and so if you happen to get in a car accident. There is an immediate smell that comes up when you get the insurance companies involved and there may be some olfactory experience. There they really go at each other then you get attorneys now you get what I'm still accepting stank.

So we had old-fashioned estimate we have built Christian insurance guy and really one of my write up the both these guys have been my friends for over 20 years are attorney in both of our cases right Bill Adam Draper, but more than that are dear dear friend and brother in the Lord to talk about those things when things got get a little stinky and how to create that new car smell back in your relationship with the maybe that other driver or maybe the insurance company. Or maybe that's out working at were to be going there right Bill, you got a lot your arm for bear will we.

We had some ideas with you to see how they fit it with your ideas and have a good time and Adam, it's great to have you back to the Christian car – or probably six or seven years you don't invite me enough running so really it is a cool time if you got that legal question may be pregnant hurt in an accident or you got something like that because you have here. Both you know my view very well trusted insurance agent and an attorney in the state of North Carolina but I'm sure he would be happy to tell you a little bit about Washington you know whatever laws aren't that much different. So getting back to the cultural phenomenal phenomenon of new car smell. You see, my father worked for Buick motor division when I was growing up, and then the next 40 years I spent in the new-car business so new-car smell really has a keen place in my sensual understanding not just of a car, but really my whole life, so when I sit in the car.

I'm seriously any car. I immediately have a sense of how that car is been cared for. Houston loved really having satin thousands and thousands of new cars and used cars.

I believe that there is an olfactory giveaway two years of care, or years of abuse and neglect. If you want to experience met with ask yourself go to any Rent-A-Car place you want, Hertz, Avis, and just sit and a few cars with varied mileages and take a big whiff is as you sit in the seat and I'm a bachelor there's can be some of that smell like wet socks are still smoke and then you go back and sit in one that just came in, and you'll know exactly what I'm talking about will so many things in life like this. There's no magic formula to what makes it happen. The smell that things give off though I do get a kick out of the little tree car deodorizer guys. They have one labeled if you go to your car store carports to write another one called new-car smell. It's blue you hang that from your rearview mirror and you and you can have new-car smell like so they say. Well guys, I don't think you hang it from rearview mirror. The smell comes from LO VE and will continue with love.

You see, Henry Ford, David Buick, Walter Chrysler and altered assignments, descendents, designers, engineers, and suppliers. You see, they love their stuff. Unfortunately, they may have even idolized it, but certainly with that comes a smell in the Bible is all too clear on this, get your attention here to second the song of Solomon versus Dunning CP chapter 1 verse 13 says my lover is a pouch of Merck passing the night between my breasts. Now I have your full attention. I'm sure you got admit that one beats new-car smell, ask any lover really who's received a perfume letter.

If you ever got my bill perfectly. Letter yeah you me with a good smell.

Yeah yeah like from now you gotta have you got a perfume letter of gotten some stinky letter yeah I understand but see love is accompanied sensually, really, through an olfactory experience. No doubt you know if you ever sent a note perfume letter.

Have you ever got one.

See the Beach boys, Brian Wilson put it like this and this is you might know the song good vibrations if you go by the verses. He says I love the color for close she wears in the way the sunlight plays a part here, I hear the sound of a gentle word or the wind that her perfume, excuse me, or the wind that lifts her perfume through the meanest guys in love. I mean this is a picture of love Brian Wilson was in love with himself, you know that's that's another whole story, but he spoke of this week I want to go deeper into that verse deeper in the song of Solomon. I want to see what God was really after. And as I began to pray about that in you may know that I asked God for word every day and is on in this verse, asking God for word he gives me the word drink and at first I totally confuse me that I went looked it up in the first place you find drink the Bibles in Genesis 19 were lots daughter seducing by having him drink wine and immediately thought about that. Wow song a song chapter 5, verse one. You get the same idea I've come into my garden, my sister, my bride, I gathered my murder with my Spurs my spies. I've eaten my honeycomb with honey I drunk my wine with my will, my milk there it is again both the murder and the breasts and the smell and gas drink is involved, and then I thought about the Beatitudes. If this bill Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled and I asked the question I landed on this I think is significant of your acid? What are the specific ways we hunger versus the way we first spiritually, and after some study, I went and read a really long sermon by Spurgeon. Gimme some of this but some of it. The Holy Spirit gave me and after some study came up with these thoughts that I believe you'll find useful not just for the new-car smell, but with your insurance agent and with your children and with your wife. According to Spurgeon, that's Charles Haddon, not the Surgeon General.

When we eat something, it becomes totally ours.

Once you have a going down your esophagus is totally is a nobody else can touch it. But in the case of eating your body has to get the nutrients it has to digest it and of course that's my experience with Bible study and often deep conversations I have my wife or my children are my dear friends like her sit with me before I can receive the benefit I have to digest it, but drinking is different, although drink does become yours incident goes and your esophagus as well drink especially alcohol almost immediately passes through your stomach lining and goes directly in your bloodstream drink may make it to the beginning of your small intestines, but for the most part it provides in an instant benefit and such is intimacy and affection. I don't have to digest a hug or kiss for my kids and Tammy want my wife can hold my hand and it's wowsers so this led me some real repenting. I need on my part is I'm not near affectionate enough around those I love causing them to require their thirst be quenched elsewhere and even there, do I point them to living water. Yes, that passage of the song song has everything to do with drink affection and intimacy.

The first drink. Each and every one of us ever took was designed to come from a breast and phenomenal affection and intimacy. Even if came from bottle it still comes with phenomenal affection and intimacy. Think about many many many passages about thirst.

Even Jesus's first miracle had to do with first rock eight and is fifth word from the cross was I thirst and what was he thirsting for his father's affection. He turned his back on. It was right before a city lawyer.

You are right. So father really help us to be thirsty right for the right affection and love and to provide affection and love to those who we love, including your car and I will bet you if you show your car back kind of love and affection were you really really love it and course. There is lot bigger things in car sign in it to will have new-car smell without lots coming up from Bill and Adam about other smells.

We want your story about how to get new-car smell and keep it in a course. You may have something for me about the suggestion that I need to 866-34-TRUTH 87884 866-34-TRUTH we need to call this guy plays in and you today on the Christian car – show and again all of life.

I think to some extent as I process it being a car person has a new-car smell or it does not all of life. That way you know how it goes. It just, you know, when you sat in so many cars you realize that everything puts off a particular smell and it really is a way to understand some things is by how they smell and you know God's got you know it's everything he's talking about. I get the order in the you know he is all about the sacrifices you know is all coming up there so it's interesting the figures in we need your input. 866-34-TRUTH 87884 and talk about a sweet smell this week with Jesus labor leverages car repair labor for single moms widows and families in crisis. You know I had another example of where somebody donated talk about donation of an entire car and called me and this arrived at the scar.

I was in a trade it in but then I heard your show and I just thought it would be so much better now for this car to go to somebody else's hands and so it's amazing to me. I have all these different applications come in.

You know every week and I get a chance. Then when I have a car to start praying God who's going to get this car you know which one of these is the one you know that would be in order. That would be the right need that would be the right fit and you know I see that all get to come together because often I'm there at the DMV. When the exchange happens between the person that is the way we do that is we actually take the person who's getting the car and have the person is donating it, sign it directly over the person getting it that way and you have to pay taxes anything twice on it just to the person's get the car and all that so that the donor meets the Downey.

I can see that uncle him I get to see him of the spirit of the event and and even the spirit of the people standing in the DMV line as they begin to understand because it's always a DMV line as they begin understand what's happening. You don't think that smells good to God that the appreciation that the Downey is has an opportunity that the donor has an I've I've watched this many times it. It's amazing to me how much the donors get out of it. I'm not so certainly don't get more than the donees, but this time, this girl she had a family five children and she had some desperate situations and oh my goodness I I'm just Tanya.

When God gave us the Christian card I show this ministry of the Jesus labor love a course I love it. Every time somebody gets her car repaired and all that stuff through just what I get to see the aroma that's going up to God and don't think that there wasn't sacrifice involved in a man getting up car. I mean, don't miss the picture here. What's going on and so you may know if somebody has a need for help. Jesus labor love a Christian card.

I.com you may know somebody wants to donate a car, you may yourself want to donate money or car labor wanted help us with the cause Christian card. I.com check out the Jesus labor love. It's all there, and it's and it all is an amazing opportunity. I think for God to show off in amazing ways.

I see it all the time but Bill UW got a topic here that really you know unfortunately as part of your work is that people begin to get into the situations where they've got claims and it gets. It can get stinky if, without the right help will claims are important. Without claims it be no reason to give me a paycheck but yes sir and I like to think that if it weren't for insurance agents and insurance companies.

Poor attorneys would not make nearly as much money.

That's right yet.

We've got to did think about what happens when something bad happens beheaded time. If you do a little bit of planning ahead it on your life is so much easier. At one thing I've seen throughout my career is people will have a little bitty accident and they will think that the other persons at fault and ability that other persons not that deal get into the claim situation and get really really frustrated.

One great reason to have a agent that sits across the table from you instead of somebody sit in a cubicle is you can sit down and do a little bit of planning and one thing that I think is very important is prayer if he had an accident you need to say a prayer we have get out of the accident you need to make sure that everybody safe and you you need to make sure that whatever happened doesn't cause a bigger accident then you need to take a deep breath and assess the situation and in some cases, if you've got one of those agents that sits across the table from you. It's a great time to call them and say help me figure out what's going on.

Gather all the appropriate information.

Figure out if there any witnesses look around and see if there any cameras pointing your way have a bill. What if you are in the situation with someone who doesn't have an agent because they used somebody they hired over the telephone. We can fix that.

If you can't name. We can fix that problem for you right click, you gotta be careful when you call the end there certain companies that there with 800 numbers that are very bad about letting you go after one act at in any event, one of the questions in my mind is when is a good time to call an attorney and I like to make sure I tell my clients that you part of the reason you pay in May is for you and I can figure out what the best thing to do is and what the appropriate steps are so that you don't have to call an attorney immediately. I think that Adam will agree with me that if there's no bodily injury involved in this just property damage is not really a great reason to give the third or 20% a year, your check that you can receive do an attorney and when do you think somebody should call an attorney when it comes to next you know most of it in for me and I think most most attorneys that do personal-injury work. The calls free to send her to call an attorney that depends any turn well.

Get back to something I agree with that. I mean, I've heard horror stories to let immunity that goes all around. Let's get on that phone call to make sure you understand what they going to charge you to sit down and give them the information is important to know what information to take with you when you call, call on the attorney I mean you want to know most places and you can make sure upfront when you call and is this call for a is my consultation free, but usually it's going to be your initial consultation with the attorney is free.

Okay well what what are you gonna get out of that that says you may have a touch of secondhand on.

I want to call out. I want to call Phil, 866348788486634 get more of this insurance attorney is now and never been around the about you. You have new car smell or you have a pile growing underneath her some activities. It's all too easy if you get involved in an insurance claim. Too far in all sorts of different ways you can begin to get a compost pile growing underneath your seat, but I wanted to offer up a couple thoughts before we get back in the bill and Adams discussion again today we have on the show with this Adam Draper is an attorney. Here we put both Bill and I've these are attorney and our friend, and I can't tell you how many times he's told me Rob, you don't need an attorney, Robbie, go ahead. You know that it is wonderful to have a Christian brother in that position wherever you are, where you find yourself today in New York or Washington man.

Not that this is just one of my dearest friends to know that I can come to him and just bear it all out. I really feel and how mad I am and everything else need to just cut straight with me but one of the things and same with Bill to have an insurance agent bills. My insurance agent. As you might guess that some happens to me know. My first call Gumby to Bill and shortly thereafter if I begin to get concerned Beta Adam so it's a wonderful thing to have that kind of firepower around you that God is protecting you with and usually against yourself. It's your compost pile brother.

I mean, I was just all you know that's kind of where that comes from one of the beautiful words that I really enjoy that you find in the Bible is the word disciple and it was in the great commission, God said go make those and when you dig in that word. It's an enthusiastic learner. But in order to be a learner. You have to have a question and so what I find about great disciples in both of those guys sitting right here with me right now. They always have great questions that they're pondering you know that the really questions be on them questions that are to require the Holy Spirit in the Bible and also to things in order to discern know where what's at the heart of this question, but I know that one of my early questions to Adam I think is worth asking is why would you ever hire an attorney.

When the Bible clearly says you know you're obviously you're the child because you're bringing things to court and so the whole idea originally. As I was in my early walk of faith is like why in the world and it is why in the world what I ever talk to an attorney about anything because the now I'm taking people to court and so you know I have reason through that over but I but I would love Adams take him well will win.

The first thing that I would tell you is, is Paul's admonition about that or was it was Jesus with government that now is calling you a member.

What would you take a brother to Claire, you get okay how do you know that's who you're up against one-for-one and if you you are dealing you know that the person you know is filled with the Holy Spirit of God and love and you tried to deal with them. With that okay and it's not happening. There is a process in which they're either going to engage with you as a Christian, whether or not if they don't, and what are you supposed to do okay and if you call me first of all I'm going to give you the advice from a Christian. These if you want advice about being a Christian and how were supposed to function in this please ask me okay but I'm probably gonna give you advice anyway and ask you if you're Christian that will I just stepped on the third rail of what are you talking about, but I know I do it and I do it anyway.

I do it deliberately because we do have to be mindful of that.

I really wish you also gotta find the person. It talks that corporation.

Well, you know, one of things that I protected. So true Bill that there is a there is a verse by corporation but nondescript nurse here.

Here's a little bit of how I have come through that is his number one with many counselors plan succeed and and when you have an attorney who is also a phenomenal brother. Second you lay your situation out number one. He has all this expertise to give you this is a one this is really how the law looks at that Robbie and this is out, judges are going to deal with that kind of thing. And whatever you have all sorts insight. You know that you would not of had you not to put a lot of things to rest that you would be building a compost power because otherwise if you think about is currently going on.

Oh brother where art there when Delmar goes well. The Lord said, I was forgiven for that robbery and in the other guys as well. Delmar, the state of Mississippi sees it differently and will edit the attorney was part of that verse is saying billing to Kohler right I and most of what adit does keep you at a court and the other thing to keep in mind is you can avoid an insurance policy by making a settlement on your own. So if there to people in an accident and they shake hands and one of them says look, don't worry about it.

Just give me $200 and were fine with his transmission drops out of his Karo. A week later and he calls you up and says look but my transmission guy says that you only for this $3000 transmission that he was a lot bigger accident than you thought it was. Then you call your insurance company and they said we are so sorry you settled this thing that colonists first so don't misapply the Scripture verse or that my point is that that I obviously would first time I dealt with this. I got crushed in a behind the Jeep. Yeah yeah and so here I was with Chrysler being the corporation you're very talk MEI. I live this and so you know these were all things I process and I know there's other people out there probably like me just ignorant and in a like wow I does this mean and how do I apply this gives clear there and in it and I think that you know it's part of the initiation goddess is teaching us how to be sons through you know the legal environment that the lots of people at the say the few dollars on their insurance by cutting at the age it will those few dollars was for the advice that you can get in the Council you can get somebody that can sit there and explain to you yet, it really doesn't operate in the way you think it does and can provide you with some additional questions and additional insight. I have questions for Bill bills a CPC you okay and when I have a question about the functioning particular homeowners policy or something like that once the CEC went well at William Ilya TCF, but I guarantee while I was when I viewed this idea was they need insurance. What is value TCF. I majored in insurance in college. So I've got a little bit more knowledge than some of the people that used to sell shoes before they got a new well what is that mean LU TCF you got this one for me will really what it means is some really good at selling life insurance and teaching other people to sell life insurance.

Just give me the acronym. What is the LU when assessing life under underwriters, training, fellowship okay, but a better way to put it inside majored in insurance in college and S will what knowledge of God is been able to.

So when you have questions. Adam, you called I eye there are questions that I called Bill for question Bill calls me about some things he and I talk about this a lot, but the perspective of someone who actually lives and knows the insurance side of things is just huge and you bear in mind, I defended insurance companies have been injured in insurance defense lawyer. I live sue them and I've defended them, but it is really really really important that you pay attention to someone it's in this business, there's nomenclature, there's things that that these phrases mean that the average person is not. I don't know them until I call billing a bill. What is that and Bill explained it to me I don't help considering the contract will there's more in the contract is also Gen. statutes that the laws of North Carolina supersede what you read in the in the policy and then send judge comes along and the judge says I really didn't know what the hell out of scheme to meet with that subnet misapply the two said there court cases that see beauty, know this, but you have a gun, and when you get whenever I have a lot from now on be ready to hang in insurance and you made the mistake of bringing attorney said Ed judges into conversation the general statute that that's a route that's a really good.

It's nowhere near as simple as just with the contract now and I would also in a in in your defense because I always hear that you know you can sit you can see that were under Bill saddle about you know somebody sit in a cubicle that versus an agent calling an agent, but my experiences been when you really want to get to savings is when you have the coverage that you need. I mean to to save 15% on car insurance but then when the tree falls on your car caught six breath and looking at it let me give you a direct example of this. Okay so I had it at a homeowners insurance claim that involved a person with their their septic tank backing backing up in some overflow in all kinds of stuff like that and there was a in issue, and that about whether or not was covered and I called Bill and Bill said you know you need backup sewers and drains coverage. I went out and bought it and have it on my hands. Bill told me it would do you know what kind of coverage you need. This is what you have an agent for right I have no idea backup sewers and without the consent case.

Let's not have it in your homeowners policy but is to so we got more here. Got questions we get answers 86. You can have of the truth.

866-34-TRUTH 7884 for new start the whole Jesus cried out, you may wonder why did Robbie play with Robbie plated because it has everything to with smell that has everything to do with thirst has everything to do with new-car smell because you see Jesus is thirsting on the cross. That's his fifth word. The sixth word is what you just hurt is him explaining why he's thirsting and I know that he was 15. Thirsting physically because he been through some amazing spiritual stuff coming physical stuff that lost blood and all that other stuff, but in my heart I know what Jesus was really feeling because he's the only person if you think about it ever in the history of all the world that God turned his back on right we've had God with us. Even we want Christians you looking at like that Billy go away God turned his back. He had to, will he let them go through a difficult situation but he still walking. I couldn't see the sin right down. I mean, I'm an American jumping that okay and I'm abstain out that one. But he did say why view Ben-Ami so he was feeling something with VSE certainly was feeling and you know there was something there that we've never had to experience and never will because of the thirst quenching that Jesus is given us all our entire lives and and and as a result of that we've been forgiven much you know it it's an interesting time to find ourselves.

How can we take a bad smelling situation like what we can talk about these insurance situations or legal situations or even the compost pile underneath your seat and begin to bring something that smells good in God's nostrils, yet clean up the bed first yet find the sources mail parallel that's that's part of it, but when I really look in my own life and I think the industry is true. I don't know that I ever can remember my father kissing me and most of the time when I go to how Jamail hold out his hand to shake and that he didn't smell very good. It could be, but I guess you know my father was not touchy-feely and you know this wasn't his deal.

And so I was not that way with my children until actually in the last year and 1/2. I begin to see this anointing in a new way and and and begin to understand affection and and all these kind of things and I don't want anybody to miss this that oh my goodness, I kissed my daughter on the hit my 28-year-old daughter on the head couple weeks ago as I was hugging her, and I'm pretty sure that's the first time I've kissed her since she was three or four years old and you know that's convicting to me that in a really am I giving my the people that I love the most.

My wife, my children, you know, my friends and my giving them what God is giving me right because if I climb up in Papa's lap and prayer. He's gonna kiss me. He's gonna hug me and in the second Psalm you know it's Jesus says it's it's amazing things always come freak me out. This is kissed the sun, lest he be angry that says that Bill Gola is remember it.

I don't remember every single verse limited to Sit here thinking as it always got under my skin a little bit like really am supposed to kiss this on, you know, contents, and for letting me because that wasn't how I experience life. But the more I've begun to walk into that affection and the immediate need of it. You are speaking earlier Adam and how we we get that taste for milk our mouth and then the meat is different thing yet because it that's this would this what drives us. Of course this this intimacy to to know is affection and then drives you for the understanding of the rest of which is how can you require this outrageousness of me like I'm the only one that still alive. Everybody that serves you gets dead and I'm stuck in this case, he had the dad's going to come with 7000 haven't been there need to fall, you don't know everything. Come on man will speak that since I happen to have you on my show and I know that he, Lori, Lori, you know that speak to that yet. So David is actually the one that wrote that. But you've got to know in in your heart that when when Jesus spoke that out on the cross. There is some interplay between although David is the one that spoke it and Lee and Lee Yanni Sabbath Connie okay when Jesus uttered that on the cross.

They thought he was calling on Elijah and a course it sounds like Ellie and yeah maybe is you would been beaten up. Maybe that's what that sounds like that on the on the other hand Elijah is utterance of that in the cave. Kate is the quintessential cry of the human heart. It is what the rabbis call us, and the fish which is disillusionment of betrayal when you didn't deserve it new.

He's saying this is what happens to us will we serve you and we all end up dead and now I'm the last one are coming from me and got a saying don't do that know what what what I want from you is for you to just love me just trust me, trust in that nature that smell the what you got between my breast trust in that. Beyond anything that happens and then look what I'll do for you is when Abraham did from did that for me. Yet Jesus, come on, that's what were called to but you know that that cry and again I had Adam as a friend long time so I know what that means that that sense of betrayal. How can I deserve this because I'm I'm your guy got. I thought we were tight yes yes so how could this insurance thing be happening to me. You know, this car breaks down. How come these things and then the media cry the heart as I thought you were my I thought you I thought I was your guy.

Indent the betrayal that happens you know all the time. You mention this when you when you're feeling that the you've got to recognize that the enemy, so who are you communing with an out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks into what I advise clients all the time is come on, pay attention. What's really going on here you are, and eternal life. You were going to live forever. The reason for that is love. The reason for that is to glorify God. The reason for that is that your kids and your and express that here and he's can express that through you. So if that's it. What you really doing here in if you can remember that and deal with the people that you're working with on that it helps most the time.

Other times it's not going to because you're not dealing with the human you're dealing with a corporation in you and at then call me and I'll walk you through it and before that bill you. You said it really well that the Democrats and the Republicans. In summary, things are going on right now are demonizing me of the other team and and that leads to a stink for the vast majority of the public's right in between all the issues and everything gets presented to assist two extremes so that we all look at the other extreme and think bad, awful thoughts about it and we assumed that they are 100% opposite of what we believe. When they really are that I really tried percent different than what we believe, that I don't know about the rest of you, I don't always agree with myself. Yeah, I like to think I've I think about what I had. We've got to have that wonderful smell.

We've got to spell good.

I was going back to guidance trying to save interpreters from God what am I missing, how can you help me here help me find you and someone else right right exactly and we can come the end of the show. We appreciate everything go to Christian card that I come to find out more about it. Remember slowdown.

Jesus walked everywhere he went and got it all done 33 years
