The Big Ten announced a new seven-year TV package with FOX, CBS, and NBC all having games, which will pay the Big Ten a total of approximately $1.2 billion annually.

This is the gold shell fight is as I hear all of this is great. All that I know that that is God notion yesterday we should've done our top ranked off euphemisms for almost fight oh right scuffle. It wasn't really a fight altercation right kerfuffle. I do you disapprove of right now, you didn't kerfuffle that a like dustup is very specific that were there was no dust. It was it was a skirmish, definitely a skirmish was a nothing. It was practice against another team.

So these things happen all the time that what you know when you're practicing to get your team sidestep good for good for the Panthers, the patriots good for everybody. Again, people something to talk about other than the starting quarterback for the Panthers, even though we've always known what the outcome is, and we have news sort of on that coming up in a little bit. This has been a I would say a 12 hour baby 16 hour. Of fairly significant news yeah right you have the Lebron James contract. You've got the Big Ten deal. You've got Sean Watson news. What do Sean Watson news yes let's go.

I mean we all knew that this was going to end in a settlement. There was a reason why the second arbitrator that is a reason why the second arbitrator or Harvey is basically on retainer from the NFL.

The reason why he had not released the decision even though no new information was coming out. Yeah. All they had to do was take judge Sue Robinson's opinion.

Forget the penalty phase like about it being egregious and predatory and all of that and handed to the other arbitrator and say hey do you think it should have been more than six games and that other arbitrator because he's paid for by the NFL. One of said yes. This should be a year-long suspension so the whole delay was so the NFL and the players Association could negotiate well the negotiation ended today. Or maybe I did yesterday and today's the announcement 11 games a $5 million fine counseling before he could be reinstated so Watson started the ball rolling with his sort of apology.

Yeah, you see that I did cite way to say all that did an interview with a local TV station in Cleveland. Yeah, here's my thing with apologies. When you've consistently said I didn't do anything right on driving logs while you apology well if that's how you feel, because he was told to yeah that's when we knew that lawyers were involved there, he was told to apologize but his apology was. I apologize for, you know all the women I have impacted you of what impacted the right, it's here. I'm sure he still believes he has done anything wrong. We have a way of convincing ourselves that it's not our fault. And I don't think this is necessarily an uncommon occurrence. A lot of people have that ability. Given the set set of circumstances, we probably all have the ability to convince ourselves in certain situations that what has happened either to us or because of us.

Isn't because of us. Yet, I don't think that's crazy. But Watson insisted that he did nothing wrong.

Never regretted his behavior until he needed to regretted yeah and suddenly the site you know what I should regret my behavior, you know, I think I'll say sorry now. So here's the thing.

If the NFL got what they were really initially wanted from Sue Robbins one year, $8 million fine, apply for reinstatement after the year. If the NFL had gotten that, then that's really what they wanted. That's what they felt needed to happen, but Roger Caddell as we talked to Daniel Wallick about this about a week ago Roger Caddell came out and sabotage the whole thing by saying I believe after the judge Robinson really gave down. I believe it should've been a year like do you just said that out loud. So now would be our big comes back with a year the players Association is to say you put your finger on the scale you thought about it, you sat on the scale so were suing you, and whether or not that what worked. I think they would've had at least a chance that it would worked course would've been risky for them to because that would take a while anyway. This was I'm not even saying the best of both worlds, but for the a good compromise because I don't think the NFL was wrong. I think the NFL was right in seeking a full year for DeShawn Watson but I also think that Sue Robinson looked at the history of the NFL and once the NFL termed nonviolent behavior, which was their mistake, because they never know how to deal with anything that I'll use DeShawn Watson serves impacts women have no clue once the NFL termed nonviolent. It allowed Sue Robinson determined nonviolent and the largest penalty for nonviolent behavior in the NFL under the player conduct policy had been three games so she the six maybe because there were 25 different web based so this is where we are and it avoids a lawsuit and that's probably good for all parties. You do know that DeShawn Watson's first game back will be at Houston school boy Armando like seriously nondescript.

This just make a 12 game suspension game suspension.

Write what you have to do that. Why ratings man ratings. Dad, God dad build Golden State it would not be delivered with the capital financial advisory group.

We are talking retirement coach. Let's say you have more than $1 million balance in my 401(k) regulations that determine how connect actually come back and bite me because in this is the thing that we did we get to Marrakesh receiving Rogers a version of the desert before you see what's what.

Her head was not there when your financial garage is thinking that that total balance in your 401(k) or IRA is yours.

We have two people to want to get a hold of the two uncles uncle North Carolina and Uncle Sam both of you to do some damage to the balance depending on what kind of other income you have loose 40% your belly. So if you're looking at a million-dollar IRA big as we were 6000 you.

So how do we get around is what you don't get around it could end up in jail. If you try to do what you can do tax planning to minimize the effect of taxation into the future. The texturing is coming out and we need to make sure to minimize the effect of the derailment of a financial accountant for the next 10 people will do it at no cost or obligation. Put together your very own tax and retirement plan 800-661-7383 or text Adam to 21000 for coach beetroot Big Ten should really change their name brand music for this.

This is bothering people today allege yeah this music is bothering people today because were the SEC music, sorry CBS is been really only showing SEC games for a while but this is CBS's college football music, which I guess we've been associating with the SEC for the show SEC games. Yeah.

So there was a time when they showed wanted to forget, but the Big Ten signed their new TV contract. So I think the Big Ten should change their name and I would like to suggest something a little bit more representative of the league, which I mean a couple years will have 16 teams spent three decades since the Big Ten actually had 11 teams.

That's when Penn State joined in 1990. Today there are 14 southern town UCLA will join a couple years to make it 16 but that is not the source of the name change. The big 16 doesn't have the same ring. Anyway, I say we change it to the big 1.2 billion oh, that's what I think we should change make a logo for the big 1.2 billion TV deal seven years, 1.2 billion annually. I have to say that again out loud. 1.2 billion annually, which has some really cool things in it.

Dennis Dodd from CBS was on CBS HQ talking about why was a long time coming, his resources were surprised that actually these three networks are sharing the championship game or the seven years. The deal you mentioned CBS is going to get twice box located four times a unique part of this deal is that you just mentioned that you have one conference on all three main windows noon Eastern 330 Eastern which that CBS window they developed over the years and primetime of that 77 30 or 8 o'clock on NBC brings every body same roof top to SEC make about break it down. Big Ten teams will be making about $75 million deal you as soon as he turned over dollars annually and now they pulled play a lot just from television. Yeah that's like four times what the ACC pulls in just in here's the thing is that again this is a seven year deal the ACC so that I have worked for five years left and secure their current deal when the Big Ten goes back to the negotiating table. Big Ten will hit the market again.

Yeah, about four years before the ACC will hit the market.

I'm wondering because of that, with the grant of rights and all that. Do you think an ACC school or the Big Ten to start trying poaching a couple schools either to handpick on the typical side of the next five, six, seven years, like that's not we want longer than that, who knows what the landscape look like trout sport look the other big story that hit last night was the discussion about completely removing football from underneath the NCAA's purview.

Yeah, and have college football simply being run by the college football playoff, not the committee but the college football playoff people. So our friend Bill Hancock right so they've already talked about that. I'm not really sure what that would serve because the autonomy five. If you will, has essentially been allowed to make their own rules.

So I'm not really sure what the what the differences but I'm sure there are some differences that off the top my head I can't come up with so they been moving towards that but 70 years from now we don't know what the landscape look like, but and I said this couple weeks ago we when we were really started when all the angst it kinda died down about the SEC is going after the steep club since leaving for the Southeastern Conference Blvd., Bob says grant of rights according to what we have been told what we've read is a pretty solid legal platform. Yeah, I was wondering is that window get shorter right some of their trying challenges that we are 10 years from that window being short enough so so went out were the ACC should not worry about this until we crossed over the 30 into like 32 or 33. Because let's remember what grant of rights sets grant of rights doesn't mean you give up whatever media monies you would get from the ACC grant of rights, says that you give up whatever media monies you receive and you get it goes to the ACC so if year. If Clemson were to go to the SEC and there were four years left on the ACCs deal then all of that money that Clemson would get from the SEC, let's just say at that point were talking about $400 million that would go to the ACC unless you negotiated a lower number, in which case I don't see why the ACC would accept anything less than $0.50 on the dollar.

Is that good. It might be for for Clemson at that point but we are at least we are at least 10 years away from the ACC given the same landscape were at least 10 years away from the ACC being in that position. If grant of rights is as solid as we have been told, because that's the way it is. A couple things real quick before before we talk a little baseball and actually this is this this is the same thing as I wanted to get to this the freak free over the Internet works will have it, you'll have the noon game on Fox, CBS with the 330 game they've established with the SEC, NBC letter primetime game following Notre Dame football on the days they have Notre Dame football is also some overlap here because the CBS still has the SEC not the season well this season and next season. Yeah.

So next season, they won't have as many Big Ten games, but they'll be scattered probably on Paramount may be on a different window made it a different night. I have no idea my trying to primetime me.

They certainly could.

So, so they have that NBC again all three networks will share the title game. Fox gets most of them. CBS gets to NBC gets another so this is will get this apparently in the first year a little pocket for ESPN to keep their their toe in the Big Ten. I have no idea if they will or if they will. I really don't like wheat. We haven't talked Panthers yet working to get to that little bit. Also Lebron James signed a new contract to get to that in a bit, but there was a baseball game last night. That was like three different baseball games and there's one today that we gotta talk June 19, 2006, but it all started May 6, 1997 with the announcement that the Hartford whalers were coming to North Carolina transition of heartbreak. Figuring it out on the fly became the 25th anniversary of the presented by the Carolina listen Greg McCauley from 90 to 9 the game in Atlanta. We are headed to game four of the latest showdown between the Mets and Braves fans can lose their minds regardless which team you root for. That's what my twitter timeline has been filled with whether it was couple weeks ago in New York that five-game series last night was just, I mean, I'm not sure I don't even know what to call that last night it looked like it was good to be a calm, cool, normal evening and then 97 happen grant what happened yeah I don't know 97 tonight. Make sure the picture doesn't really sound like the kind again that you're going to get and I'm sure that's what the Mets were hoping for was to have a nice when behind one of their two aces of their calling for the series is over but maybe think I will bizarre when you have a 3035 minute rain delay.

I noted the bright side of things are going to go to review against lecturers or on paper that's a mismatch and in reality of a mismatch as well.

Really got bombed early for three home runs by the Mets in the first couple betting but the brace offense. I felt like one of the big hallmarks of what made them so good. 2018.

One of the things that made them incredibly good in 2021 was they really don't just sit around and roll over and say okay were down for five runs yes will start looking towards tomorrow. They are a relentless bunch and they were able to rally together pushers are out of the game get to the Mets bullpen ultimately come up a little bit short, but I'll save it. But if nothing else, but you know, the Mets needed that when and how the brace, turned her focus became foreign say again, we need to win but they gotta take it from the ground. I think of course I looked, I think these two teams I don't know how they feel about each other but this has been for my money. The National League East number one rivalry for the last 20 years. Nagel exits bit. It's probably 30 years where these two clubs have been battling it out. The Mets have not merely been as consistent as the Braves, but I think it's a better division. When these two teams are both good. I think they're both good.

I don't think there's a ton difference may be the big difference is really at the top of the starting rotations we saucers are, who was excellent before being lifted in the game in the seventh inning with the bases loaded and one out at about Aveeno gave up a home run to Grossman with a three home runs in the last two ballgames are Grossman yeah back to back games with homerun guy came in having you home runs all year for the Tiger so you know McDonnell company located 20 working so take it from wherever they can get a front. There's no question the Braves have just awesome awesome power in one of the best players in the sport and Ronald Junior football teams also feature will get to the ground here the second but is also feature really hot prospects who just recently made their major-league debuts and each Hobart in their major-league debuts at school parallel here I'll go back to laying out the rivalry between these two clubs combined for correctly brought that up a couple years, your high couple of days ago talking about over the last few years. The rivalry hasn't really been there quite as much clearly in 2021.

It seemed like there could be put in the Mets, fell off the wagon and half but that I think began to set the stage for what we see in this year the Mets have made a slew of moves. I think it all starts with Buck Showalter that really has changed the culture of that team and brought them back to what I feel like is a more accountable and more professional and just a better all-around team, and clearly they went out and made some big findings of the Mac Starling Mark K and others, but it's a very good baseball team.

But does feel like the first time this rivalry has really gotten to Quito since the late 90s or early 2000 and so I do think the division is better overall. When these two teams are going to go on at it. I think the brace affiliative had a good rivalry in the interim and the Phillies are, trying to inject them into the East race if they can hear over the final 40 or so game so it's a fun little preteen race. I mean we can't do much for whatever the Washington Miami Marlins. I think I have a bit of a disappointing year I thought they'd be a little bit better but you know the top three teams in the division and it is fun, but yet he rookies the batter hit a home run in his first major-league bath first mightily swing through the park last night for the Mets another excited about that and then bond gristle just the latest. A lot of brace prospects to come in and really injected offense in the lineup it needs it along with Michael Harris as I get Spencer Strider. You try to win rookie of the year on the Mount. A lot of young players wanted talented players in the division*level players and a couple of teams that I think could be battling it out for years to come the past to get in maybe through the Dodgers leads through either Atlanta or New York. I don't think there's any question about that. Grant McCauley, 1992, nine the game in Atlanta RI to today's pitching matchup like Max freeze pretty good. I know if you're brace bad you got no issues with who you got going today but let me just get your impression what your thoughts are on Jacob. The grommet was made just three starts since returning from shoulder injury and elbow injury to you before, but when you look at the ground. What you see what one is healthy and not applied on the got it last night is not a flight on what going Kershaw did a few years ago for the doctors and you know pick a guy that might be having the best year of his life that can come to jump in the discussion annually but it would take a pogrom has the kind of consistent dominance that you just don't see very often.

And if he doesn't throw another pitch.

I think you wind up in the Hall of Fame.

I mean that's how much he's done in a relatively short amount of time it did almost Sandy Colfax like in terms of the numbers and of the winds aren't there but when you look at the absolute domination of opposing lineups those ERA is the strike outnumbers the main it's it's about as good as it gets him and if you're trying to draw the perfect picture and give him all the perfect stuff to work with here the hundred mile an hour fastball.

Here's a slider that I'm not sure got in his casinos. Those are the kind of things that you give to a picture to do the things that he does so in of this is a tall order.

Every single time that I went back to step in there and go toe to toe with pogrom. He is human. I've heard reports.

Also, he will lose it again and you will give up some runs, no matter who you are, but the runs are to be at a premium, that's for sure in the start so for Mac three coming up with concussion, IL and I really feeling healthy feeling good ready to go check all the boxes and you know his job isn't so much to match the grounds greatness. His job is to keep the Mets lineup off the board talking is able to do that. It gives the Braves a chance to maybe turn the thing into available for all respect and would be absolutely better labor in baseball this year. You can get to some of these other guys in the gray showed last night there's no question that the immediate this. It's the same for every team in the big leagues, but the of the underbelly of the bullpens are bold is a reason why those guys aren't starting or club or closing because there is some vulnerability there.

Are you saying about Jacob.

The ground that hundred mile an hour fastball wherever he wants to throw it, followed by a 94 mile an hour late breaking wipeout slider. Are you saying that that's dangerous. Research over the past week to see how good that slider is like opposing hitters batting 103 against it and it restarts into grammar, and so it's pretty tough to put the bat on the ball and it grounds what we want gathered there is there's no question about Bexley to I think I will. I want these two teams to see each other in the playoffs. I do, I think it will be awesome. Maybe not for my heart as a as a long time Mets fan but it is I think the game is better when these two teams are going at it. It's just a lot of fun and I'm I'm not even that Mets fan that doesn't like the brace actually like the team I like I love them. Last year I rooted for my crazy last year and look. I hope I'm not surprised that there back exactly where they are this year. 720 start time Jacob ground.

Max freed at truest in Atlanta. Grant McCauley, 92, nine the game in Atlanta.

Follow him on Twitter at grant McCauley makes it easy hey thank you Mabel talk to get so these are the grounds numbers very quickly. 16 2/3 innings and three starts. Six. It's three earned runs 28 strikeouts. One walk that's good right 28 strikeouts and one walk in 16 2/3 innings, two of the earned runs came after his first walk is only walk that came in his last start. He walked the batter they took him out of the no I want to batter and then gave up a two out to run home run that was that. He's good.

He's good, but so is Max freed should be a fun game tonight 720 this is the atom gold shell June 19, 2006, but it all started May 6, 1997 with the announcement that the Hartford whalers were coming to North Carolina transition of heartbreak.
