It's been a fun start and you know they're in the process of trying to build something narrowly build something there and you know it's been fun to see you to get out there and I think you brought a spark and exploited the really really well early on and you think things are exciting during the like effect it.

It's a process and they all know that with the first year head coach but I like the way they're doing things and in and it's been fun for three data reported must be awesome for you not only see your son play the quarterback position but then you also lives. I came Warner at Kansas State who just had a big-time victory up against Oklahoma. It's got to be need for you minutes on the mainland and we have a passion and love for the game and been able to coach my boys and help them chase after their passion is as it's developed over the years and you don't have to to kids plan Division I college football and in fulfilling their dream and have a chance to be on the field and that have an impact on the program I made it so cool it took. It makes weekends busy and it makes it make Saturday's stuff to try to make sure that we see both of them playing in the and split our time between the two of them, but but it's often because they give it they enjoy the heck out of it and you know you can ask for when your high school kid is dreaming about plan is to have an opportunity to have an impact in both of them have done that in albeit early for EJ in it in their careers and it's been it's been cool as as mom and dad to sit back and enjoy that was your PR person this past week at Lincoln financial Field even though you weren't there because everyone is on asking me when is Kurt coming to a game and I got a very busy schedule all network that you know it it stop because you know our older son Katie dictated Dave last year. And so, in the season. It was, like okay will go to Kate games are mostly caves against kind of assume EJ probably won't play a lot as a freshman. ABB redshirted all that stuff that you kind of think and so are our schedule was really designed around case taking and then you know EJ being inserted. There is the starting in week three unit. I try to change things an hour, bouncing back and forth and going to remember I gotta get to LA for 6 AM show on mornings and so some of the scheduling has a lot to do with that you to work, try to get to go to Memphis this week and watch what you did play down there but you don't want to be back and forth. I still assume will probably get the more tasty games this year and then will be spent a lot more time in Philly and then in the coming years.sounds good to me Kurt Warner here with us on this act else so you get more nervous for your kids get home. I got to finish the question. Not even close.

Edit it you and it's even harder to write. Not quite like that. Like you, you know I like can't eat you know we've got a couple sports pause to watch him again and I can't even filled the games about over or you know or if it's out of the balance of of what's going on and probably more so for EJ and Kate KB in a wide receiver EJB in a quarterback need time to hang on every every drop back and every flow just because you know how volatile the position and how you know every place you can go from being a goat you know the G3 will go wit with a little G you know of one pro and people hang on everything and so was hard on both of them are always nervous because you just want your kids to be able to put their best foot forward and and how that impacted in the plays that are there to be made you want him to make him even though you know that nobody plays a game perfect. You want that for your kids and so yes I'm I'm way, way more nervous in those situations where I have absolutely no control and I just kept it took to watch them do their thing at the same time it's it's more rewarding to know that there are out there doing their thing and having success.

It has nothing to do with you know with me.

For us it's just them going out driving so it's got its highs and lows but but like you said it just so much fun. The watch them succeed. The principal Hall of Famer Kurt Warner think about the atoms right now is saying man I met Sam Rogers yeah I don't think you know is as much is United. I miss Aaron because Derek's not playing well you think they're going through some growing pains. I think they're trying to figure this out in a tough transition to go to a new offense and to have a new coach in trying to fit all of that stuff together and so yeah I believe there good work it out. You know, with that being said, it is a good like most things, you know we always think the grass is greener for some reason we go somewhere else and you know very seldom get greener than you know Green Bay with the with Aaron Rodgers.

Or maybe just that good and he makes guys better and he can do so many things with the football that you and I think there's always you know a little bit remorseful man I was playing with one of the greatest ever plate you don't really appreciate the little things that he can do that other guys can't do even with other great players like like a deer car, and so on you and I'm sure there's a little bit more appreciation for Aaron Rodgers every day you're not with them, but I do believe that there because a really good quarterback and I think they're going to find their success over the next few years. They just going through some of the doing things right now is if they end up being really bad this year and there are one thing, if they can't regroup in their packet in the top 10 in the top 15.

I'm thinking maybe they do draft a quarterback Kurt. I know they just gave him a new contract, but that that Is so law when you know how it is when a new regime comes in another know you and I think you always have to be careful because you know there's there's one thing that we have to look at when we look at franchise quarterbacks and you know we have to understand there's only one Tom Brady. There's only one Aaron Rodgers is only one Lamar Jackson there certain guys that are just rare obese and they separate themselves from everybody else and then everybody else is kind of fighting for four seconds like okay we need to find a guy that's you know, at least right below that because there's very few veterans that category and so I think we always have to be careful when you have a guy Jesus example like your car was a really good starting quarterback in the National Football League and you've got to decide, okay. Is there another Aaron Rodgers another Lamar Jackson out there.

Is there a guy that's better than Derek car out there that we can get, or is it simply that there is a good quarterback. Maybe he's not that you know that top-tier and now it's more important for us to build around him so he's got the pieces that he can maximize his talent.

We put a better team around him, and now we've got a chance to succeed. So those are the questions that that are really tough and always, use the Cincinnati example was that Cincinnati had Andy Dalton for a decade. In any Dalton was a really really good starting quarterback and a quarterback to change the culture in Cincinnati and got them to the playoffs numerous times over time. There just didn't win a lot of playoff games so he was great for the time being. If they were building it and then at one point they said okay but Annie can only take it this far.

We believe were in a position to get us another guy that can take of that step further and now we let indigo and we go get Joe and now Joe takes and that's the dilemma that a lot of these teams phase is, is there a Job row out there and has this with our quarterback run its course and got us to where we want to be you. At this point we rebuilt this thing and we got to the playoffs and will write on the cost but we don't believe this guy could take a stare and we gotta find a guy to do that and so I think a lot of teens out there. The kind of teeter back and forth with that situation, it have to at some point pull the plug and think that the you know if there's another guided doctor that they think is better but in the meantime, say were willing to have this level of success right now is rebuilding this thing in building this culture Kurt Warner here with us stealing hurts into a chunk of my lower both foster really impressive starts at three know at the end of this season. How do you think were talking about the Eagles and the Dolphins. You know I think were talking about the Eagles in you know it.

In that mix of of teams that can win the NFC. I just think they're there to counter across the board have so many ways that they can beat you. I look around the NFC and you know everybody else's got there issues that I think were talking about them in the next. Ultimately it will come down to jail and hurts continuing to play the way that he's played up to this point and that's primarily through the air week.

We know what he's going to be as a playmaker.

We know what is to be as it is a quarterback to run. There's only you can do that sort of thing.

It always comes a point where they they force you to stay in the pocket and you have to beat teams in the pocket. Usually when you get to the playoffs and so will he make that progression where he can win some games in the pocket.

He gives really good teams that will be the ultimate question because I think they're talented enough and good enough on both sides of the Baltic to be in the mix. On the other side. I still have some questions about you know where Miami will be at the end of the year, you know, we've seen some great moments you'd always does all the great second half against the ravens in over the score 35 points but the first 3 house of football they played in the season they scored 27 points in the last week they scored 21 point you know so it's like we've seen some really explosive and great moments, but I don't know if we've seen it, you know, as consistently as we need to for them to be in the mix, especially in the AFC come playoff time.

Now that doesn't mean they can't even anybody playoff time you got beat good teams three weeks in a row and you've got to be able to outscore them.

You know as well as I would defense them at at different times and so, although we seen some good things will seen progress from 20 you know me, I'm just one of those guys it goes okay but I want to see Morgan. I want to see what you did in that second half against the ravens, your weekly basis. I want to see you have the ability to be explosive in and put two or three touchdowns on the board and 1/4 numerous times and we seen that so we can just hang on that one half and save that's true they are with you like were kinda doing that right now they got room to grow in terms of efficiency and explosiveness on a consistent have to have week to week basis. Jaguars that divisions not good you have a competent coach there on the professional level with Doug Peterson now connecting when the AC south this year. I think think you I think they can. I still you know it is good is Trevor's been at times I still need more consistency.

There you know I still look at this Indianapolis Colts theme. I know very easily could be 013 right now and you know Matt Ryan is playing great football. The offense of lines not playing as well as I thought they would, but I do believe they're going to settle in and they got a really good defense and you know that often supply comes together. They're going to be a really formidable team and so you know as much as I like what Doug is done down there and I like the way to Trevor. Lawrence made that jump from your one year to I still just need to see a little bit more consistency from him.

You're making the layouts making the throes that he supposed to make but I do believe you're gonna be in the mix that they got guys flying around the good guys they can place their offense seems to really fit Trevor in and simplify things form. It is a very talented quarterback. So I don't think this is a fluke.

What we've seen early in the season again. I just need to see the quarterback play, be consistent. One week to the next week to the next week which we kinda seen some ups and downs in that regard.

To this point, Matthew Stafford, Kurt Warner has not played great to start off the year they are to them morning I was dealing with that elbow injury.

In the off-season.

Is that a concern for you at all or do you think is the season goes on.

He'll find his group. I have to believe you find his group in the same offense.

They still got some similar pieces. You know that that I think he's going to get you to get better and better and I think you to be a God. It can be around in the end, you know, you always wonder when guys have these great round Super Bowl run to the quarterback that we haven't necessarily seen throughout their career. You know, you sit back and okay was that one of those special magical seasons. You know that Ryan when they went to the Super Bowl. Cam Newton when they went to the Super Bowl or is that God the guy were going to see every single year in every single game moving forward and I think that's still the question with Matthew Stafford is that we still see the great moments we saw those in Detroit. We need to see the consistency of play like he showed especially during the playoffs last year. So I'm still kind of waiting to see is you know it was that just turned the corner and I need to be in a different place in and now I become that quarterback that that you know that that we thought I could become, or was that just you know I everything played out and we played really well the team came together and we made a run, but but then he kinda levels out a little bit you know with some of the things we seen the kind of ups and downs we seen in the past two months occur. One of the principal member before he lets you run Tereus hasn't been great through the first three weeks of the season for the Broncos and the Cardinals what you expect out of Denver and Arizona. The wrestler you not. I don't really know you know it it it looks so ugly at times for both of those especially authentically that I don't really know. I don't know what they're building off of right now you a lot of things.

When you get that to week three. You kinda say okay this is who they are.

This is what they're getting, hang on to in this is what the gonna be able to build around and I really haven't seen that.

You know me, opposite the Cardinals can build around Tyler Tyler stuff but it's just hard to win. You know, expecting your father didn't have to run around and make every play for you. Gotta find a way to make the game easier and you know development offense that he feels comfortable with it. You can go out and execute on a weekly basis and I haven't seen that.

And then I watch Denver and in Debrecen all over the place for me. I just got done watching the tape and I question some of the concepts they have also doesn't look comfortable with what he's seeing he is moving out of the pocket a little bit too fast in a lot of situations and and again I don't think you have a stage in his career where you can just expect him to make those 15 plays again that he made in Seattle and that could be you know what carries you along with that good defense that there is good have to get more efficient authentically but I just don't see where it's coming from war or you know what worked or passed in these first three games that that excite me Kurt Warner last one for you.

We got a bunch of great matchups this weekend, but everyone loves to talk about the quarterbacks. As you know mom are going up against Josh Allen Brady going up against the home study see those two games going on out.

You know what the person we talked about Lamar and Josh Allen and you do both of those guys are so explosive there so built on big play. I think that's going to dictate a lot of it is who makes the most big plays in this game and then maybe the flipside of that is that you do both of them at times can get a little bit loose with their technique. Here we saw that last week Josh Allen at two point conversion that nobody normally makes but is technique got away from any misses one of those easy throws you know the Morgan's Miami had a couple opportunities I think you put that game away and missed some things technique wise laden, so I think those are to be the two factors is you who makes the most big plays and then you know are there times when they get away from things to the point where they miss an opportunity did the baby win this football game on the other side of it you know it. I think the Chiefs you know all our team ostensibly that seemed more in rhythm to me than the box boxer kinda up and down and all over and Brady's good win-win thing is gonna play out like you want them to.

But a lot of things seem really hard for their offense right now and so I think this is going to be tight football game. The box defenses is really good. It gives you some some different looks, so I believe this is one of those games that come down to more you know that in the homes of that offense to McKenna hit the rhythm, as we seen at times this year, although they didn't last week against that box defenses and whoever really win that battle.

I think we use the probable Hall of Famer and Kurt Warner makes a check amount never does great job as an analyst he could see Kurtz on that game.
