The Foundation of War

Welcome to worship and the word pastor. Today we are concluding our series, the four living creatures were pastor Robert shares about the four heavenly creatures faces in the Bible and what they represent. For the body of Christ worldwide the church in our own lives. Today's message is about the lying face on the creatures, which represents prayer and how we go to war in the spiritual pastor ever has some incredible things to share some let's join him now so this is our fourth message final message in the series.

The four living creatures, and I know that when we started. You have no clue what was going and now you're just loving. It is one of your favorite series of all times so this we will talk about the lien. The line represents prayer but were going to zero in all war because you got the warring liar. I just want you to understand that we are in a war and we don't want to be in a war, but were in a war.

It's a spiritual war is happy when you show up or not. And if you don't show up in prayer you gonna lose the war.

We will lose battles with the enemy because he showing up as a verse in the Bible that we show Christians. Most assuredly, I say to you whatever you ask the father in my name he will give you until now you have asked nothing in my name. In other words, you pass the father as he does with his nontax nothing in my name. Ask and you will receive, that your joy may be full know the joy is not asking is, whom you get to ask Tessa father. Now I've done a lot of study on the father and most of the time in the Old Testament when you think that the person is talking to the father a person's actually talking to the son. The father is very elusive in Scripture. Daniel gets a glimpse of him in Daniel seven and says I saw thrones put in place in the ancient of days came in that's father.

But all these places were all these great men and women of God had a conversation with God. It was the son, and you can go back and look at it and everyone things it says the angel of the Lord was talking the person and we know the angel. The angel of the Lord, the messenger is Jesus until now for Jesus that until now you not ask the father anything but now I made a way you can talk the father of the greatest thing about prayer is you can talk to the father.

We miss that there's a pursuit of relationships in prayer and if you want to win the battle. Talk to the big guy talk to the actual base. Here's the second thing that prayer breaks. This is how you win the war. If you're going to win the war. I'm trying to take us to a higher level in prayer second one is price again back to the. Here's number is one way to win the war. Here's number three petition petition Matthew six verse 10 your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Motors were petitioning God for this for his kingdom to come. His will be done. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors uncoupling village notes in that wonderful that when Jesus taught the disciples how to pray. He said oh yeah, you can ask for the needs that you have. It's okay daily probation and good relationships or something Jesus said is the father's will for you is what he said in the spirit yeah that's okay you can pray about that. So you can petitioning God.

First John 514 that this is the confidence that we have a medium that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears a sound site.

That's what this goes along with a large part because were praying your kingdom come, your will be done so we ask anything according to his kingdom and his will and will be done. We know we here's us for safety. Anyway, know that he hears us, whatever we ask, according to his will and kingdom.

We know that we will have the petitions that we have asked for help. Just like one simple little statement here about this.

It's not for your will and your kingdom. Those petitions don't get granted. Pray more than everybody will let me be the boss. That's that's not that's not it. You know it's it's amazing only if you ever watch this but when you have children in the home.

If you have a pet, the youngest one gets to be the boss of the pit because she needs somebody boss. She gets bossed around all day and everybody bosses the child younger. So the younger one will boss the dog around just this watch. It happens but that's not what you say said no, no, I'm not here you if you pray for your will be your key when you pray according to my will and my kingdom. Not only do I hear you, but I grant your petitions. You need to pray you know why you're grumpy because you're carrying burdens that your son. And prayer. You get to give him the burdens and let the battle becomes awards and you get the stand steel and see the salvation of God. But you gotta give him the battle, you gotta put your position so here's number four protection Matthew four verse 13 do not lead us into temptation but deliver us from the evil one is part of our daily prayer daily bread daily deliverance daily protection from the evil one son some version safe evil in the Greek it literally is the evil one would Satan the devil now have a question because were talking about the face of the line there was a face of a man knocks legal and a line drive. A question that I don't want you to answer out loud because sometimes I say questions in such a way that I'm tricking and you get it wrong so so don't answer about what is is the lion Jesus or the devil.

Why do we want to proclaim his death. Say for because his death changed everything.

You couldn't talk to the father but now you can have a relationship with the father. It's because of his death for this cross is because his body was broken and his blood was shed and every time we receive communion. We are telling the message that Jesus died for the sins of the world. Every time that's what this that's the first so I want you to get your elements and if you don't have the elements.

I'm dying so that everyone in the world should be made one that was his prayer, he leaves from communion, a ghostly bargaining praise John 17 says here's my prayer. I'm praying they'll all be one like the father. So when we do this for proclaiming victory that happened cross you said, you proclaim the Lord's death were proclaiming the victory. So let's give facts right. Lord we give thanks for what you did on the cross for us. We tell you thank you you became a human that you live the life we could live died the death we should have dying, your body was broken so we could receive a new resurrected glorified body day and live for ever with you and the father in heaven. So Lord, we do this today in remembrance of its text written. Let's give thanks for the cup it says in the same way he lifted up the cup.

He said this is the cup of the New Testament, the new covenant my blood shed for you. So Lord, we give you thanks without the shedding of blood there is no remission of sins.
