The Foundation of Abandonment

Welcome to worship and the word with pastor Rev. were in a series called the four living creatures, where Pastor Robert shares with the four heavenly creatures face in the Bible represent for the body of Christ worldwide the church and our own lives. Today's message is about the face of the evil which symbolizes this message is eye-opening and includes some incredible insight so let's join Pastor Robert so word a series called the four living creatures. These four living creatures are in Revelation and in Ezekiel and there are four creatures each creature has four faces the face of a man. The Knox Eagle in the lineup and they follow the spirit.

Wherever the spirit goes the creature ghost but it never turns goes in that direction with that face them facing where the spirit is going but the other thing it does is it goes higher and higher. That's what little gets lifted up so God takes us higher in our understanding of certain things in Scripture and so we talk about the man and the man represents Jesus the son of man, Jesus himself referred to himself in the Gospels, 82 times of the Son of Man melt some of those are repeats, but he still decided to put it in there and those four books. Matthew Mark Luke and John. 82 times. So Jesus is the Son of Man, the face of a man refers to the man. Some people say refers to righteousness because of Jesus.

Some will say holiness.

Some say grace and truth. Here's the point. I know refers to Jesus or reversed everything Jesus is. But what I believe God is doing during this series, is highlighting an aspect of each face to take us higher as a church and he is zeroing us. For instance, when I talked about grace I could've set him up. Rachel grace and subconsciously, some of you might have. You know had little moment. Many will hear it in fear and trust in the Lord were trust is is talking about abandoning ourselves.here's what the message says right. Psalm 40 verse three, he taught me how to see the latest God song of praise song to our God more and more people are seeing this date, enter the ministry, abandoning themselves to God. They enter the ministry, abandoning themselves that before trust to God.

This went off in me like I can't even tell you and I hope it to go off and you this is what worship is a lot of people in worship in the worship portion of the service were singing a lot of people saying but don't abandon themselves to God. In other words, you come in any control, and you will even control people in your quiet time in control and you leave in control. You have not worship if you don't abandon control of your life.that's worship.

That's an encounter with God. When you abandon yourself to give you a little bit of a couple of Miriam Webster dictionary of her no definition abandoning these to give up when the with the intent of never again claiming a right or interest in liking abandon property. Are you abandon ship you abandon. But here's another definition from West strips to give up to the control or influence of another person or agent to give up to the control of another person. Okay, so I'm telling you you need to abandon yourself to God because clearly say what I shrugged if I don't take care of myself, who will while I understand there's the there's aspect of taking care of ourselves understand what the fruits of the spirit of self-control understand that, but that's something that the Holy Spirit produces in us when we give up control. When we abandon ourselves and you ever thought about just like your are here and you're going to abandon yourself to walk away from yourself.

But you're doing it because you're letting Jesus now take care of you. I'm telling you people miss this and late listener worship music in their homes and they sing a few songs on the weekends but they're still in control. You haven't worship unless you've abandon yourself to God. By the way, this is where true peace and joy come from worry, fear, anxiety, depression, sadness is when you're in control. When God's in control your fine right so so why would you people abandon themselves more and again this is in the Hebrew. This comes from this work. Trust me, you will see them trust that puts a trestle, so why would we trust God will assign another way, why, how can we trust God more than we do.

Trust.but how can we trust God more. Well we have to know his character, because the more we know his character of the more we can trust in someone I want to do in this message. This this will shock you. I have three points that all B cell good messages have three points because that's that we have a triune God. So it's the rep instrument.

So how can we trust someone I want to do is I will take the three armies OEM again either three on-base and show us if we understand these character traits of God. And here's what Hebrews tells us is that Abraham did it, no wing, concluding his way says it that God was even able to raise him from the dead, so the way he could give up and fall was out doing this because the all-powerful God is asking you to any dogs Artie told me that my seed is coming through Isaac that this is the that the promise is coming through Isaac. So if he's asking me to do this you must be going to raise him up from the bed and that would be hard for God to do because he is all-powerful, but I want to say how worship consistent so Abraham is taken Isaac is walking up the he was. So I said to one of our elders who serves on his elder board about two years in the church for several years.

Basically trying to but he turned them, and he turned them last year for excessive okay so Preston was coming in the preach and it was the Sunday of the Masters golf we can the Masters so so I said to make him watch. I don't have the authority to set my salary. I symbol apparently you do because you have the authority to turn down a rights and if just say he's almost tender heart. Here's number three is omnipresence again. It means simply all present, God is all present. He's everywhere at all times when you think what is omnipresence. You might remember Scripture that a lot of people know Hebrews 13 five says for he himself is said I will never leave you nor forsake delivered the Scripture, I will never leave you nor forsake their support. I think we miss, for he himself said, for he himself said okay. Where did he himself say there was a zebra says for he himself said, but beware were going up and where did he himself say well he said it.

When Joshua was succeeding Moses. He said it twice to Moses to tell Joshua and he said he wants to Joshua after Moses about Deuteronomy 31 six this is Moses talking Joshua he will not leave you nor forsake you, Joshua, Bobby, Deuteronomy 31 states he will not leave you nor forsake you. And after Moses died he shows up. Talk to Joshua Pursley. Joshua 15. I will not leave you nor forsake you. Now I said true worship is abandonment to God. So we saw Abraham worshiped in the abandon himself.we saw David worship but did Joshua worship did he abandon himself, God will remember famous story when the commander of the Lord's army shows up. Joshua five verse 13 and it came to pass, when Josh was by Jericho that he lifted his eyes and looked, and behold a man M, Jesus stood opposite him with his sword drawn in his hand and Joshua went to him and said to him or you for us are for our adversaries. So he said no but as commander of the law army of the Lord. I've now come and Joshua fell on his face to be your and abandoned control not just put that events on the Bible I just put in for our study today. Joshua fell on his face, in your and worshiped, and said to him what does my Lord say to his servant say here's what Jesus did. He showed up and Joshua said here for us or for them.

They said no money or take sides under takeover. That's what he says every time shows up because Lord I'm going through some right now my wife you my side of her set no under takeover for both of you to submit your will. Summary for both of you to give up control. The only way it works. Son is when I'm in control because I'm smarter than you are. A more powerful to ignore and I will never leave you nor forsake. I will always always always present. God told Abraham to sacrifice his son but he told him to go somewhere specifically told him to go to the land of Moriah and he says when Abraham is a far way off, he lifted up his eyes and saw the play startled real seek to prove this, but most theologians would agree it was Mount Moriah because she can't lift up your eyes from a four-way conceit. Some it's not right.

This makes sense, but even then it was still in that vicinity. It was the land of Moriah, but I believe Abraham walked up to heal memorize with his son raised the knife in the air, but God stopped him before he sacrifice his son but about 2000 years after that God walked up the field right there, Mount Moriah, this where Solomon built the temple temple mount about 800 archways gold also the land of Moriah, God walked up the hill with his son, but he didn't stop. He let males be driven through his hands and feet, and a spirit inside and you know what Jesus said to release on the cross. Why are you abandon are you forsake the answer is one abandon you right now so you can die for the sins of the world so that I will never leave them. I will never forsake them. And I will never abandon because you're going to take care of it all let me say this way, God is saying.

I can be all-powerful and all-knowing and all present. If you give up control to give me control.
