Is it one-to-one for teams is a valuable resource for anyone wanting a simplified view of the Mormon religion from a Christian perspective. Mormonism 101 for teens is available at the Utah lighthouse bookstore in Salt Lake City or MRM.org .1 examines the teachings of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints from a biblical perspective view .1 Mormonism is sponsored by Mormonism research ministry since 1979 Mormonism research ministry has been dedicated to equipping the body of Christ with answers regarding the Christian faith in a manner that expresses gentleness and respect.

And now, your host for today's viewpoint on Mormonism so glad to be with us for this additional viewpoint on Mormonism on your host, Bill McKeever, founder and director Mormonism research ministry and with me today is Eric Johnson. My colleague at MRM will first of all I would like to wish all of our American listeners a very happy Thanksgiving. Hope you're having a very blessed day. In remembering all the ways that our gracious God has blessed us as Christians not only throughout this past year as tough as it has been but certainly throughout our entire lives. What we normally do it MRM during this time is we have had a tradition of taking Thanksgiving day and the day after to talk about some of the comments that we have received at Mormonism research ministry that certainly have blessed us and to just offer our thanks to you, our listeners to UR supporters for keeping this ministry going and encouraging us with your kind words. So were just going to go through some of the comments that we have printed in our newsletter. Mormonism research this past year, and perhaps explain some of the things that maybe the letter itself doesn't really tell you or explain to you. Maybe we can fill in some of the blanks regarding them.

But let's start with our first one.

Eric, when we have somebody right.

Thanks again for your help. You are a saint to have read through all my emails and responded that I should say this one was of course written to me personally but I want to make this comment, you answer a lot of the emails that come in as well. We also have Sharon Lynn Bloom who answers a lot of our mail at times. Sometimes a female Mormon write soon so I'll pass those on to Sharon and she'll respond. She's very knowledgeable on the subject of Mormonism.

You probably noticed that we have had a lot of Sharon's articles in our newsletter. Mormonism researched but I do try very hard to get to every question, every email that is addressed to us. When people have concerns or are wondering about a certain part of Mormon history or Mormon doctrine, and I try my hardest to respond and I do want to apologize because some of you when you write, you acknowledge the fact that I probably have a lot of emails to respond to in the first place and that is true and what bothers me. Sometimes the most is when some of those emails get buried, among other emails. I do try to make it a point. Every once in a while to kinda scroll through the emails that I have in my inbox and sometimes I do catch emails that got away from me, but generally we answer the emails appropriate time Eisen and I think that if you have any questions that you would like to have answered.

You can contact us at contact@mrm.org. We also will pray for you.

We have a place you can write us at prayer@mrm.org and so if you want to write to us.

We are available, willing to be able to go back and forth with you. Another person said hi. Love your viewpoint on Mormonism podcast I been listening faithfully for years on your website faithfully for years.

That's encouraging. Certainly it's hard to believe Eric that come next July. July 2021 that will mark our 10 years of being on the air with viewpoint on Mormonism, hard to believe, and in January you were mentioning to me that we will be airing our 2500 broadcast 2500 broadcast.

How can we come up with so many shows will there's a lot you Mormonism folks remember they wrote everything down so we just know where to go look and so there's plenty to talk about and so certainly we are just blessed that God has kept us on the air and we are blessed that we can take the shows that are broadcasted on the error we have how many radio stations now that are carrying we have five different radio stations and in four different states in the West. Here we have Idaho, California, Utah and Arizona. So we have five different places that people can listen live, but you can go to our website to be able to hear the viewpoint I Mormonism broadcast by going to MRM.org/podcast that's all you have to do that over the weekend before the next week we put all the shows up there if you want to get ahead, you can actually listen all the shows at once like this person did they said thanks for what you do.

I usually listen to the entire week's podcast each Sunday morning. Always a treat. God bless you guys. But we have a number of people who do follow our show to do. Listen regularly. We appreciate you.

Whether you're listening to us right now on the radio or whether you're listening to us on the podcast we do put a lot of effort into the shows we try to make them cutting edge so that there useful were not just trying to repeat ourselves over and over again, another friend of this ministry wrote. I'm so encouraged when I read letters from a Mormon member that came across your website or read some of your materials and how it helped open their eyes to the truth. It just blesses my heart as I have many relatives that live in Utah and California. Some I don't even know. I pray for them that they can have the courage to seek out the truth that they can break the bonds of tradition. Thank you for all your hard work. There's a portion in here. I think we need to emphasize Eric.

This is an individual who has LDS relatives says I pray for them and that's one thing that I find with a lot of the Christians at write us and respond to what we are basically saying not only on our radio show, but in our newsletter in our books and so forth. And that is there is a genuine compassion for those who are lost in Mormonism and I know it's hard sometimes for latter-day St. understand that because we know from many other emails that we get from Mormons. They assume that our entire purposes just to make Mormons as individuals look bad to look foolish and such. And certainly that is not our purpose at all.

Yes, we are pretty hard on the leadership because the leadership I feel fit the description of Jeremiah 23 and these men are not true prophets. They are not true apostles. They are leading people astray and we are concerned about that and that's why it generally makes me feel bad whenever we do get an email from a Mormon who assumes that the only reason for doing this is because we don't like Mormons as individuals and that certainly is not the case only said that many times, but speaking of letters from a Mormon member that have come across our website or read some of our materials. We have an example of exactly that. I was born and raised in the Mormon church, fulfilling all the normal milestones a few years ago, weary with trying to earn my salvation through time-consuming callings and trying to keep the commandments with exactness. I began to feel something was wrong with the only true and living Church upon the face of the whole earth. After tirelessly studying the early history of the church and his teachings. I concluded the Mormon church was actually very different from what Jesus intended to his church to be.

Thankfully I had your ministry, and John MacArthur and RC Sproul to teach me what Christianity really is. Thank you for your time. I friend your work is help me learn so much and has given me hope you know and someone says it directly that we have had a positive effect on their lives. How can we not be blessed by a comment like that notice. With this individual says fulfilling all the normal milestones we've talked many times on the show about this set of boxes that Mormons have to check off. If they hope to receive the best that their religion has for them and you can imagine how we're reading that is to latter-day Saints because knows the language here to keep the commandments with exactness. That's been a phrase that is been used by Mormon leaders in the past that phrase can be found in Elma 5721, where it says gay and they did obey and observe, to perform every word of command with exactness. When this individual talks about feeling something was wrong with the only true and living Church upon the face of the whole earth.

That's a quotation from doctrine and covenants section 1. That's exactly what Mormons are told their church represents the only true and living Church upon the face of the whole earth. So when a latter-day St. tells us that will really were not so different than you are. You cannot ignore the fact that their Scripture makes it very clear as this Scripture here in the doctrine and covenants makes it very clear they consider our churches to be false. A part of the great apostasy so this is why we have difficulty with fellowship being with Mormons.

It's not that we cannot be friends. I think we should be friends. We should be able to talk about these issues and have a cordial relationship with them, but when it comes to fellowship being breaking bread I have to stop I can't go any further in that and I know maybe some latter-day Saints might feel a little repulsed by that but just the same as anyone who joins the LDS church as to be rebaptized. Why do you think they do that because they will think you are a part of the true church.

That's why they do that and so when I hear comments like this about trying to earn their salvation to as this individual says time-consuming callings and trying to keep the commandments with exactness. Your heart can't help but go out to an individual like this.

This next one says I've enjoyed watching your videos and using your content on MRM.org to help me respond to a Mormon missionary with whom I've been corresponding so thank you for these amazing resources you develop. That's a great segue because we should talk about our resources. Not only do we have this show viewpoint on Mormonism, which of course our listeners already know that because there listening to us obviously but we do have our newsletter. Mormonism researched we've had that ever since this ministry began back in 1979. Many people get it in the hard copy or they will get it as a PDF file sent either email and so what other resources do we have available all you if you go to our website. We have a number of different articles. We have a number of videos we have the past broadcast viewpoint on Mormonism and if you go to MRM.org/podcast. There's a link at the very top that will take you to that which will give you access to many of the broadcast that we've done over the last nine years and so if you're doing research and you want to find out more about what Mormonism teaches from a Christian perspective. We certainly have those resources by going to MRM.org, another one here, just a quick note to thank you for all you do.

Mormonism is no small task to take on. I guess that's why I help support MRM.

We depend on the donations of people who are faithful like many of you have been you can donate to MRM in a variety of ways.

Just go to MRM.org. On the right side at the top there's a box that says donate and if you click that box you can learn about how you can do that through mail through bill pay, you can use your credit card through PayPal without your support. We don't do what we do because this all cost money. Been on the radio and to be able to put together a website like we do and to do the evangelism outreach is that we do.

This is what it's all about.

So we do appreciate the help that many of you have given us, and at the end of the year. If you'd like to get a donation. Just go to the MRM.org website go to the donate button and we appreciate anything you can give. You might say grace is free but ministry sometimes can be very expensive so as Erica said we very much appreciate all of you who consider the expenses that this ministry incurs ministry doesn't stop just because a lot of other things may stop in this individual's right. Mormonism is no small task to take on.

We're dealing with a multi-billion-dollar corporation. Here and they have a lot of resources that are given to them. We understand that, but we do thank you for your support and we are also thankful that we can stretch those dollars to accomplish as much as we do tomorrow were going to continue giving God thanks for all the things that he has done and we hope that your Thanksgiving will continue to be a blessed one. Thank you for listening.

If you would like more information is research ministry. We encourage you to visit our website www.mrm.org you can request a free newsletter. Mormonism researched this again, as we look at another viewpoint is
