Final Arguments

I know it's Thanksgiving weekend and and some of your here and you may be with some of your friends whom you invited family in your props expecting an upbeat, inspiring message away from all of that doom and gloom of Romans is not going to some your minds but were continuing enrollments and if I not only were continuing in Romans this morning we come to what some commentators say, and I think I agree that this is one of them was difficult passage in Romans Romans chapter 3 verses one through eight is not easy to understand and is certainly not easy to preach and I'm sure all of you will agree with after the message. I still love books, but this is the best book to read the Bible, so can I encourage all of us, not just her students not just her children but all of us can I encourage us to spend more time reading this book than on our smart phone to spend less time in the smart phone and more time actually reading the Bible to try this week when you're tempted to go on to social media take a break and do something which will please God and open this book as transformed by life.

This book says it will make you wise unto salvation. It is says the psalmist and some hundred 19 verse 1058 as a lamp to your feet and a light to our path in a dark world in a confusing world.

We need clarity we need wisdom. And this comes from reading and obeying this book. So if you can bring your Bible with you the one in the pew in front of your and if you can find. I was really good the first eight verses Romans chapter 8 Paul from starting from verse 18 of chapter 1 through verse 20 of chapter 3 he portrays a court scene under three principal parties. I think that is the judge that is the prosecutor and that is the defendant, the accused, God is the judge Paul as the prosecutor and you and I are the defendant with the accused and Paul, the prosecutor has brought the pagan man, the mortal men. The religious mind that even the Jewish man into the courtroom and that the prosecutor's case.

Paul has been masterfully been devastating argument by argument with all of the scale of the brilliant logician and having mastered every facet of the case.

Paul, the prosecutor is exposed every single person pagan moral person. Turnover to chapter 9 Paul's going to revisit this in three wonderful chapters 9, 10 and 11.

Romans nine verse four their Israelites and to them belong the adoption, the glory of the covenants, the giving of the law. The worship on the premises to them belong the patriarchs, and from the race.

God always keeps his promises. God is always faithful even when we are unfaithful as Paul really saying that God has not rejected his people and that there's no difference between the Jew and Gentile in terms of little the right standing before God. When God himself chose the people. And when God doesn't go back on his promises verses three and four.

What if some where unfaithful does their faithfulness nullify does the faithlessness nullify the faithfulness of God by no means let God be true though everyone would alignment as it is written that you may be justified in your words and prevail when you are judge. Neither your saved neither your eternally say you can live as you like. Why not do evil that good may come. God's righteousness is greater than I would unrighteousness and in fact the more that we sin, the greater will be God's grace. No one was there to meet us so my older brother was like to be the leader and are of course what was the first to him sometimes. He had for teenage daughters and he made it very clear to us that there was no mixing bathing had a swimming pool with mixed bathing amine with our swim club and in Gibraltar. This idea that men and women could go into the swing same swimming pool together with. It was bizarre. We thought we come into a kind of a cult so we can be asked to drink the Kool-Aid next. What is this something that was very good. It was free for timely, and the cop and eyes they thought was the all-black but as the camp went this man student preached the Scriptures to us other campers came and we find out very soon for this man for all of his strictness is rules, all of which we didn't understand the we were brought up very conservatively but would never come across the fact that you could go into a swimming probe with people of the opposite sex.

It's an absolutely unbelievable but that it wasn't as America had all kinds of people and we realized that this man loved us and he cared for us and he would explain the rules and in spite of our initial reaction that we come to a place which was very, very strict was going be run like an army boot camp we realized that we enjoyed this and that the more we like Mr. Barnett with his art accent, the less and less onerous. The rules came in so as we laughed that camp.

After about 10 or 14 days. I think it was we all said this was one of the best experiences of our life in spite of the rules he and his wisdom what so I don't know who these parties are coming from Gibraltar. The British and the Scottish people, but I'm going to have these rules and we realized that these rules, which seem burdensome.

Do you presume on the riches of his kindness and forbearance and patience, not knowing that God's kindness is meant to lead you to repentance. Yes, God has been very kind.

God is been very patient, you deserve condemnation, but God has withheld his judgment on you Don presuming that today come from the Pennsylvania because at any moment we can stand before a holy God.

Though the fact is, all of us. No exceptions. Today should be on their knees before God.

Silence and convicted of arson, Augustine said, all mine consider the greatness of thy sin by the greatness of the price paid for sin, to consider the greatness of your sin. But think of the greatness of the price paid, but your sins would be forgiven the very blood of our Lord Jesus Christ. Here is whole. Here is transformation.
