I'll be here tomorrow as well. A lot of football talk after Baker Mayfield got himself in the Cleveland Browns to the calendar and I have to congratulate Cleveland that's a good thing. That place needs a quarterback graveyard has been for a very long time and when you think about it, really good quarterback to play their going as far back as Bernie Cozart means that the guy really nobody since they'd come back into existence in 1999 write the best quarterback they've had frankly might be Baker Mayfield. But I think Derek Anderson made the probable once, but besides that I don't think they had a quarterback you can look and see a pretty good Brady Quinn was terrible tin couches, terrible memos anybody they bring in. There is terrible doesn't matter whether you draft a guide to Sean Kaiser was a second-round pick. He was awful. So maybe Baker Mayfield is the best court effective had there.

Since Bernie Cozart and that's why you go out and regardless of the guy facing you know civil charges.

The way that the Sean Watson is an potential will be facing a year-long suspension. You don't care and you give him a fully guaranteed five year $230 million contract because you are so desperate to end that streak of futility at the most important position on the ballfield Baker Mayfield has been dealt to the question is who exactly once Jimmy dropped below.

Is he the next guy is like in the NBA right worry were all waiting around to hear what happens to Kevin Durrant witness Kevin Durrant go if Kevin Durrant gets treated then I guess Don of the Mitchell's next guy that potentially is going to be on the move right if your Miami you want to put all your eggs in one basket in that basket of courses Durrant but if Kevin drains not either available or treated elsewhere. You can append it and make a run at Donovan Mitchell right the anticipation here is that Utah is going to blow things up even more. They traded Rudy go bear. They have a new head coach is a 34-year-old guy Quinn Snyder bounced so you naturally think that Donovan Mitchell may be the next thing to try to now build around Mitchell or it's time to look and say, okay, let's get rid of him to and completely rebuild get a bunch of first topics for him maybe a young talent and were rebuilding not retooling rebuilding, but Mitchell's got a way to find out what happens with Kevin Grant before he finds out what happens to himself, but I think it was similar. I Jimmy Gropper was not to be the first quarterback on the move because it was good to be easier. Pride Baker Mayfield out of Cleveland then drop a lot of San Francisco and I think people look at it and say Baker is probably a better quarterback that's debatable. So how many teams out there need a quarterback where Jimmy Gropper will becomes a hot commodity will Seattle obviously needs a quarterback right are you going to the season with the Gino Smith is your quarterback you good luck with that. Talk about a career backup writer guides failed everywhere he's gone to be a starter but I don't think the 49ers are going to ship Jimmy Gropper within within the division. I can't see that happening somewhere else.

Okay, let's go through this right or Martin is ready for this user. Buffalo does need a quarterback pages still need a quarterback native to attack by Lola bombs this year. They do but going into this year than I can make a move for Jimmy G and the Jets are invested in. Zach Wilson is number two overall pick going into your to their not make a move for Jimmy Gropper will write so everybody in the AFC East is out AFC North. Okay, the ravens have Lamar Jackson Cleveland has whenever he's gonna play to Sean Watson Cincinnati schedule Borough Pittsburgh is an option right is present who masonry golf. They have their an absolute mess that right and in Pittsburgh at quarterback try to place Ben Roth's broker doesn't exactly have a ton of guys I just drafted with the first round pick they brought in Kenny Pickett so they spent for something on the guys. I don't think that they're going to make a move for Jimmy Ruffalo, Leslie think Rob was a one-stop one your type a guy and then pick its way to playing your two possible but I got your best ski they have Rudolph F Pickett. I don't think he's getting moved there.

I don't think that such a need for Jimmy Gropper low and I'm not sure he's a massive upgrade as to what potentially they may have their so I think every team right now in the NFC North also is not an option agreed yeah and then you may not fit the distiller scheme as well. You know yet if not here that into okay, we can take AFC West already out of it right in the homes are Herbert Russell Wilson not going the AFC West okay AFC South Titans are going to ride with Tannehill.

Maybe it's not the right move. The gonna ride with Tannehill and I don't know Jimmy Gropper was an upgrade over Ryan Tannehill. Okay, the Jacksonville Jaguars Trevor Lawrence. He's a reader he's ready. There Houston Texans seems like Davis Mills and why not Davisville played well last year we had an opportunity guy. We'll talk a rookie quarterback last year who was the best rookie quarterback Matt Jones played well last year but obviously Davis Mills was pretty good. I mean Davis Mills bloodied 13 games there for 2600 yards completed close to 67% of his passes 16 touchdowns 10 interceptions playing a bad team showed a lot, showed enough where he will get an opportunity in the year number two as a starting quarterback and he's a lot cheaper than what Gropper was good to be because Davis Mills was what 1/3 round pick fourth-round pictures that cost you a lot of money. The Indianapolis Colts brought in that right now Matt rides a stopgap, but Jimmy, she's probably a stopgap training for Jimmy G to sit behind that ride for the next couple years doesn't make any sense does making sense so there's not a single team in the AFC right now where Jimmy Gropper low fence which means if he's going to be moved by the 49ers. It's gotta be within the conference right not to be in the division. Why because of Kyler Murray, you have Matt Stafford and again I don't think Seattle is going to get him because I don't think the 49ers gonna let them play in the NFC West will play against him twice play against him twice Mac. I happen cowboys at Jack Prescott.

The Eagle seems like jail and hurts a lot more than I like jail and hurts to be honest with you, but they like him Washington well you know I mean you look at 12 the Giants of Daniel Jones right that's a landing spot potentially but I really think the gonna roll with Daniel Jones next year and see what they have in the six overall pick with different coaches different schemes that could be a case okay but then you look at Washington and the commanders and you save yourself who's the quarterback there. Well, he brought Carson once so ride with Carson once and I make a move to then use once as a backup right you have a backup Taylor Heineken who started last trees on the bent and he was God.

So the fact is, he doesn't fit there either.

There's really no place for next season the Jimmy Gropper low fits in the NFC East in the North, Aaron Rodgers, Kirk cousins, I mean I guess they role with Jared Goff in Detroit right wing is is is grappling upgrade.

Probably a little bit in Chicago is not just in fields Tampa Bay in the South has Tom Brady Saints are going James Winston, the Carolina Panthers just made a move for Baker Mayfield. So it's not going to be there and then the Atlanta Falcons slats.

That's the interesting one right. The Falcons have who Marcus Mary Oda Desmond Ritter for Leavy Franks. I don't know anywhere where exactly are the Falcons quarterback situation. Maybe that's the spot that makes some sense mess it's listed as Mary Oda as the starting court exactly which is not something you should be comfortable with that may be the only spot I mean I'm looking at every other team you're we've literally gone through every other team and there is not a fit for Jimmy Gropper low. That makes sense or for the Niners to ship them somewhere that makes sense except the Atlanta Falcons. That's the only spot that he potentially can land that that makes sense right with the other factor is we get into the season and somebody gets hurt. Then have to trade I'd I don't think you either way, how funny is it Falcons will play at home against the 49ers.

Week six move grades that watch them get traded that we can literally change locker room this afternoon as I hate Jimmy by the way, don't bother hopping on the team flight back. We've just shifted to the Falcons. Congratulations your home that hilarious but actually place that makes sense that you're right. Maybe they wait and see if there's a Corvette that goes down in training camp. They waited long enough right but is it comfortable if your tray lands and they traded up to get you third overall the draft you gotta play at some point you think this is the year that you're gonna start right you don't invest the third overall pick in a guy invention for more than a year and last. You could say well because he's coming from what North Dakota State.

We thought it's best that he sit out a year because he need some seasoning right, let the NFL game come to him a bit more let them go through practices in the NFL's that he'll be more comfortable in your two now he doesn't play your to then you have to start thinking maybe it's an issue with his skill right then you start to worry, do we just spend a ton of capital in terms of graphics to trade at the third overall to draft the guy that actually isn't good enough to play your two and then you have to start putting a bus label. Finally, the 49ers are ready for tray lands do not play this year. He's going to play what does he want Jimmy Gropper low kind of over his shoulder at what tray lands is awful and in preseason and Jimmy Gropper low is great 49er fan just one away right it's not okay. We want to suffer through a young quarterback is we want to win, and Jimmy G's looking great. Think the question then is, maybe Jimmy. Geez, a better option in your two and then tray lances relegated back to the bench so I don't know if you want to have an unhealthy situation there in training camp and preseason games were Jimmy Gropper low is going to be fine for a starting job is not to sit back and accepting a backup right he's too young for that. So if you get a deal and deal your premium back then. Well, you can't open it up for him to potentially start that's a messy situation as I just highlighted there comes a point we have to save yourself okay.

Do we just take pennies on the dollar, and maybe even have to ship within our division to get rid of, but do we want to face Jimmy Gropper low twice a year with the Seattle Seahawks, which potentially could be the case because again we highlighted every team.

There's only two teams that probably need him right now. This off-season for this coming season. The Atlanta Falcons and the Seattle Seahawks. And if you have to choose if you're the Niners and John Lynch rather shipping to Atlanta regional face in twice a year, you face a week six.

You don't face him twice a year.

The way that you pay Seattle which should be week number three and then you would also face and you know she's been on the Falcons are playing the Seattle weekly B interface in twice a year. Not a comfortable spot so terms of leverage. By the way, if your Jimmy Gropper was only given to leverage ricin like hey guys, I have like six teams that want me really bad right but let me choose between six teams at the Atlanta or Seattle where you going part of Seattle and Atlanta.

That's a question I would tell me as much. I would tend towards Atlanta you absolutely yeah thing is a cheaper cost of living in Atlanta and your dome to your dome weathers better in Atlanta than it is in Seattle.

Those ill summers in Seattle like your beautiful when it does rain. Winters are miserable. Give a better fan base by a mile in Seattle right much more much much more loyal fan base in Seattle aiming like a lamb is more of a transplant city these days. CL is a better roster than the Falcons. I guess I guess I'm not talking about great options here. If you know) pretty much the bottom of the barrel. Yeah, this is it. I don't know that's really tough to say what makes more sense for him where where does it make more sense for him to go and that's tough. Let me bring one thing up to yeah and Bill Belichick wounded.

He was really a fan of Jimmy grappling back in the day right of them drafted in second round you.

You think they could make a trade to bring them back as a backup. Yeah you highly paid backup highly paid by you know what the problem is if you want to get somebody as a good backup quarterback for Mac Jones. Gotta bring in somebody who is like older, who is not vying to be the starter who understands what his role is who understands you know that he is nearing the end of his career and his wisdom is really what is selling point is right like Brian Hoyer Park example promise you bring in Jimmy Gropper low. What are you doing right. If you bring Jimmy Gropper he's gonna try to win the starting job you send you send mixed messages right. What's the message you're sending Matt Jones read a good got a good rookie year messages hey had a nice year but we want you to compete for the starting job your to know you don't want to have to go through that you want to feel comfortable right he's entrenches a starting quarterback. So give me a backup that's just it with him watch films and explain what he seeing out there who's gonna find to be a mentor more than a competitor in Gropper low, still young enough or he's looking to be a starting quarterback in this league for a while you he's been a starter. Sigh. I don't think you will be a healthy reunion to bring Jimmy Gropper low back to the patriots as a backup quarterback to Mac Jones.

Now the other option is you tell Jimmy what you gotta be back this year ends. I'm not sure about Ryan's going to be there more than a year or I'm not sure James Winston's going to survive as a starting quarterback for more than a year.

No, you have to try to sell him on that. That is a possibility long term of being the starting quarterback at a certain spot but you're one he's gotta start off on the bench. Maybe that's where it's going to be all like I said before, if we get into the season somebody gets really injured there going to be desperate to for quarterback yeah I could be. But again I don't 49ers want to go to training camp Jimmy Gropper low. There breathing down the neck to tray lands shall be an interesting little tough to find out how are boulders going to join us on the other side here in Howard, of course, has been around the NFL. A very long time is a Hall of Fame selector coast of weekly Hall of Fame radio on Sirius XM's NFL radio as well. It helps protect your skin trite dove men plus care dry spray goes on dry cleaning fee all day is averaging dance with the Cambridge Eisen advertising show on a Thursday Jimmy Gropper where can he possibly lands.

The only two teams I've identified are Seattle and Atlanta within the division of the 49ers can't see that happening. The Falcons as we continue to inch closer and closer to the start of training camp and preseason football before you know it Septembers right on the owner and we will have NFL football regulars action our buddy Howard Balzer, Hall of Fame selector, cohosted weekly Hall of Fame radio show on Sirius XM's NFL radio joining is Howard before we get into the Baker Mayfield dealer Carolina the next guy potential to move the deposition ease Jimmy Gropper low. I went through every team in the NFL that could potentially use, and I've identified Seattle and Atlanta. I'm missing a potential landing spot or is he just going to come to sit around the San Francisco embattled freelance again for the starting job. Good to be reviewed at the Army it could end up sitting around. I think that's a long shot. At this point it pretty clear that the 49ers want to go with x-ray lamps, but then again if lamps conduct shorter custom issues. It's not a bad thing to have Gropper low there but I don't know the 49ers want to keep him around, especially at the salary that you being that he do they want to get it.

They want to try to get deals gone for her neck closer and depot Samuel so II think the one team that could be a possibility, and it all hinges on what happens with the Sean Watson that could be cleaned and I don't know if anybody is truly convinced that if Watson has a long suspension, whether it eight games 12 games a year. Whatever might be that the browser truly committed to going with Jacoby process so I think that would be a leak that would be a spot to look at.

Granted dollars would be a big issue there. You have Bunny on the books for Watson, although he suspended that you try to get from the side of signing bonus back of that money on the books for Mayfield now that you've been traded and what would be the contractual relationship if they got Gropper while you probably have to take a pay cut but he felt going to help them play than that might be something that he would entertain so it will be a thing to see how this all plays out by the content start in just a few weeks right around the corner has to go play tray lands, even if he doesn't look good and the reason is you use send off a lot of draft capital to move up to third overall to take and write your pension here one saying okay.

He's coming from North Dakota State. Obviously the competitive levels will different you need to hear seasoning visa on a second year, you have to start thinking is a 49er fan. Maybe he's just not that good and we wasted all these graphics and a high pick on him right so are the kind you rock and a hard place in terms of trying to sell tray lands the fans as being the quarterback of the future of concern. They gave up so much to get bigger right, you're right on. You have to play him and so that there was an injury that would be what if you would like. He was a off Aminah when you know what I said looking possibly replay, would be if he was talking I don't make that will happen. He came in last year and played when he played started against Arizona when Gropper low is hurt on the road and it was relatively early in the season and he had some accuracy issues but he ran the ball well you did, did a pretty nice job so I think they will commitment him. I think he will be the guy could get the other thing you have to look at data everyone only chocolate be quirky contract in Ohio for quarterbacks are under, but those three years go quick. And when you get that no third year, you have to make your after the third year you have to make that decision on the 50 or option, and whether to exercise that number just keep getting higher and higher. So yeah, I think he will be the guy I like to remember to the 49ers will do all they can to lessen how much they ask him to do because they still are a very run oriented and when they run the ball well and then he'll run. It's part of it. You have good receivers there. Plus, tight end George P can stay healthy. So I think will play well enough to keep that job that I think a long shot. The garrotte what was there but what else you know who knows what the 49ers will do what I know they do want to get that salary off the books so they can get some of the other deals gone but the only guy they have right now. Of note, note behind tray lands without Gropper load. Nate will so now I need to use. I mean he's in quite some good football in the past, but the whether whether you what you really want to go with another question Howard Balzer when you see on the rich Eisen show Dan Schwartzman information on this Thursday. In any scenario, can you see them shipping them off to a divisional rival in Seattle.

By the way could use him. I would doubt but that would happen in, you never know with the Seahawks but it seems that they are committed to going to camp a lot better going to Bobby for a few weeks which you know Smith and Drew Locke battling it out and they know they might feel ill get to come together dollars assert certain amount of it and they might feel that garrotte was a good player.

Certainly I but they know they think they might very well feel that we that we better find out about these two guys go with them why they're changing and also several other things on that team. In this transition year without Russell Wilson without Bobby Wagoner and all that so I ought I would I would be surprised somewhat about Seattle. I think I think you mentioning Atlanta is a somewhat intriguing because of the on Marcus Mary Oda. I think Marcus Mary is pretty good football player. But when everyone forget is that when he was the starter in Tennessee. He wasn't able to stay healthy. And so the question is now, and I'm sure if you resist him and the rookie that he will win that job.

But the question is will he stay healthy and that's that's the biggest question about them because of note affected and of the Decal has as much a chance when games of Howard Balzer and Dan Schwartzman going on campus quarterbacks is Chino Smith and Drew Locke, my goodness, that can't be serious and having Jeff and I remember Gina Smith he's known for getting pipe punch more than a year his friend he did on the field there so again I think that's a terrible quarterback situation out. Let's turn to Carolina a year ago they got fleeced by Joe Douglas and the New York Jets should been a second and 1/4 end up being a high second round pick for Sam Darnall in your mind did that kind of police Cleveland here. Shipping off at best 1/4 round pick in 2024, at worst, a fifth-round pick, plus Cleveland's pick it up about two thirds of the base salary right now. Do you give Carolina the win right now. I think you have to give them the win and see how it plays out. You're right about the salary now the turns out that make your play a certain percentage of the down them the money that you getting up in the pay cut. He can earn back assuming he wins that job but you would think he would start Donald playing decent football last year that first breath. Then he got hurt in Christian McCaffery got hurt again. That's the big question quickly followed up any quarterback be successful there and less Christian McCaffery is healthy unless they find lightning in a bottle some other running back if McCaffery can't cook yet for what they had to give up. Not much what they have to pay even a fan of having to pay them of the bunch that other money for starting quarterback in the NFL. It's not a whole lot and obviously Mayfield is motivated to play as well as he can so he can get an occult contract next year with interesting courses. Darnall Uganda roster will make more yeah Mayfield. I don't know if there's ever been a time in NFL history were the first and third round pick in the draft are now on the same team and they're both quarterbacks and they were both scheduled to make the same amount of money on their 50 or option. But now Mayfield state of the country. Make it a bit last but Donald Makin that close to 18.9 million so that left a very interesting situation.

Their combat role in the Panthers and I think rule rule realized that they gotta make something happen this year. Otherwise, who knows what happens with them because I don't know how patient, the owner is going to be if they have another season of struggle.

Howard, if you were on the hot seat. The way that Matt will probably is under David Tepper who wants to win games and made a boatload of money for that franchise are you going with Baker Mayfield or Sam Donald as you start your week one. I would probably go with Mayfield. I think mainly because he is shown that you can win games with him adequate February numbers what happened recently but yet last year he got hurt to and then was not the same player.

After that, and the Browns had a bunch of other injuries to Nick Chubb was injured and that they have some real issues and the whole situation with Odell Beckham Junior so Mayfield is proven that he can help with pain when games Darnall hasn't done that yet and so but again as I mentioned earlier data still comes down to being healthy at the other spot because no matter how good a quarterback is or isn't not going to be successful without the supporting cast and that to me that's the biggest question and Carolina. But when you look at those last two seasons where Christian McCaffery limits in early probably played it all in the last two years and it's not like that happens again again. Then I seriously question how successful they can be, even though they do have a pretty good how are you know if you look at the NFL. The wide receiver position is obviously change the, the landscape is significantly different. Where they used to be the dime a dozen positionally running backs looked at now.

Now they're the highest paid guys making ridiculous sums of money to Monty Adams goes in the Packers he goes to Las Vegas raters. Are you expecting a drop off considering he's going from maybe the greatest quarterback in history and Aaron Rodgers to Derek Carr who's good but he's the fourth best quarterback's own division right now but you made the point where the court that the division of the matter how well he plays for the raters and he played well enough last year to help them get into the playoffs. You have a pretty good career and plus he and Adams obviously very close to having played together in college so privately, he is not Aaron Rodgers is no doubt about that but with a lot of receivers who put up numbers in the league that quarterbacks but aren't Aaron Rodgers, the Derby somewhat of a drop off perhaps, but they've got a pretty good core there pretty good receivers good tight and the Darren Waller good running game, and so I think that that the vision that that that be an incredible division to watch this season because you can make a case for locale crazy for Kansas City for me to say this but you can make a case for anything and that the vision of finishing first or last. I'm not sure how good Denver will be.

I know a lot of people are very high on them just because they have Russell Wilson, but you know that they have some good talent around them but some of it is unproven may become become truly good, really haven't had a quarterback so that that's going to be a heck of a division to watch and I may not even Denver without the quarterback that you're still one seven-game so it's not a stretch to think that they can win 10 or 11. Will Russell Wilson. I mean heck of a fourth-place thing that visually could be over 500 and woke me up. Well Howard wasn't going us here on the rich ice and snow dance was been in for its last question, I look Russell Westbrook spinning the news a lot and that's his legs and try to get rid of them, but they can't I bring them up because of this Jack Prescott's going to year seven and as good as he's been in the regular-season haven't won anything as a team right next to him waiting a long time. A lot of people not a lot but I've heard whispers is back Prescott the Russell Westbrook or Carmelo Anthony of an NFL guy that puts a great individual numbers but when push comes to shove, he hasn't won anything is the hot seat there for him in terms of kinda being that guy the next guy up who has to win something I gather the narrative outside the team yeah you probably I quite honestly that I owe always bought into it. I know we put a lot on quarterbacks and we often say he won or HELOC, but it is a team game and a lot of other things have to go right on a team for a team to win. Obviously, in a league that is competitive as the NFL. But yeah if they continue on this path which is really gone on for the last almost 3 decades of not being very successful consistently much less than the postseason when you have a single start think that about Prescott.

All they can't win they can't went well like I said teams when a lot of things have to go have to go right and with it with the pass again with the offense of line protecting. I think that's been a big factor I with the Cowboys in recent seasons where the offense of line is been somewhat instable at unstable rather the defense is getting better. That's been one big improvement for them division is a very good, but then you get into the playoffs. In this way and you're playing against all the good teams met. It to me of stuff that went out if it's because of the quarterback Luke a better team sometimes on that given day, but the way the narrative is you're right about the way the narrative. Like I said I haven't always bought into it.

I mean what what what the Chargers ever really do it Philip River that mean he wasn't a great quarterback all those years. I think he's one of the best with quite the last two decades, but I noticed a blue you will him is not because they didn't win big when he was there and you can make the argument look at the dates we quarterbacks that's wrapped all Hall of Famer's right Philip Rivers Eli Manning Ben Roethlisberger in terms of pure talent, Rivers made in the best of the three ate very well might have been any mention Eli Manning and people. They all yeah Hall of Famer two Super Bowl rings, but I pointed out.I think that it would be a very intriguing discussion when he becomes eligible but the pursuit I mean that the winning record for him and I guess not only him because much of the quarterback that wins or loses, just like us not only the picture but they get credit for wins and losses. The winning percentage is about 500 overall in his career. The two Super Bowl they want over the patriots were mainly because of the defense, he made it quite get me wrong, but overall that defense was what what kept them in the game and allowed and allow the Giants to beat the patriots, especially that year when the patriots were undefeated so yeah I think you're right about that. Rivers is incredibly crowded while think everyone when you're losing every time when you're in the playoffs and you're losing to the culture Peyton Manning are you losing the patriots with Tom Brady that really on Philip Rivers. I don't necessarily believe. So I guess those are things you brought up, you know, we got a little bit. It's Eli Manning. Eli Manning's name was Eli Balzer, Eli Schwartzman, and he played for the Jacksonville Jaguars and had his resume.

Are we talking Hall of Famer because the fact he played in New York with the Giants and his last name is Manning. That's why he's getting more credit than maybe he deserves.

If it was Jacksonville is a different last name.

Are we talking Hall of Famer and a great question and I think there will be talk but I don't think it would be a lot of that and I know he will bring up Jim Plunkett Super Bowl and not granted. He did not have the overall career and the consistency that Eli Manning had and you can't blame Eli Manning when the team wasn't that good around but still you you you look appeal. The overall career and it's pretty much on those Super Bowl into the creek. Which of the team thing and so yeah great question, what would the perception in the belief in him be the same if it wasn't Tina New York and I like that you make an argument that it might be very different.

Can't wait to hear what happens in that Hall of Fame room when the debate Eli Manning Howard tell us what happens there when it does happen.

Howard Balzer Hall of Fame selector coaster weekly Hall of Fame radio show on Sirius XM's NFL radio. Howard always a pleasure. My friend Rishi Chapman on my budget and figure out a good one you to what a great topic. Eli Manning is and that's a good one this day wasn't Manning and he didn't play for the Giants and you know get a lot of primetime games for people to see how the great personality and be that friendly guy that can joke and laugh at himself. He was Philip Rivers serious and play for the Jacksonville Jaguars in his last name was Schwartzman or Martinez are is Eli Manning as sure thing of a Hall of Famer as people believe him. Yeah, good question. We look at the stats I mean Eli Manning had a nice career. No question about it multiple Super Bowl wins are nice right it's nice, but the statistics overall. Okay.

And remember, he played in a time where it surpassingly so he threw for 57,000 yards, which is a lot but you know your people are now surpassing that number 366 touchdowns never likely in touchdowns.

By the way, or yards passing did lead the league. By the way in interceptions, three times in his career threw for 244 interceptions to 366 touchdowns completed barely 60% of his passes.

60.3 his won loss record as a starting quarterback in the NFL.

117 and 117 is a 500 quarterback that's it is yeah and Howard mentioned that he truly is Jim Plunkett you know yeah maybe we'll see that you will do for 30 touchdowns twice in his career. 31 and 30. That's a tough one.

If his you know and when you look at his postseason, the playoffs right let you know didn't go a lot of playoffs especially later in that career and Plunkett's not in the Hall of Fame either. No, I mean you years you I Manning went to the playoffs. Six. That's it. 2005, six, seven, eight, and then 2011 and 2016 and is one loss regular plasticine for which is nice as those two Super Bowl runs in 07 and 2011. Can't take those away was a very good postseason quarterback. But overall, though he's a 500 quarterback. What a great debate. He is silent. You know I let's get into that whole adolescent fun with that next dance Wurtsmith again for energizing on a beautiful Thursday and we see on the East Coast connection with the rest the country. Looks like my weatherman. We have plenty become our three as well get into the NBA. The latest Kevin Durand still twiddling his thumbs in Brooklyn a franchise and show energizing show passwords for Richie on Thursday. Here, I'll be back tomorrow as well and evolves out of the body. Howard Balzer some fun things came out at one personality Eli Manning Hall of Fame to fade together.

They Manning take out the Giants put in a another team Jacksonville Jaguars like that last name Smith talking Hall of Fame two Super Bowl rings beat Tom Brady. The defense, of course, a big part of, that's David Tyree, a huge part of that as well. By the way that caught the pass on his helmet was a great pass. First of all, and wasn't open a money tumor to be missed but whatever history's history. Then he to the touchdown. The plaques go bursting when the game and destroy the patriots attempt at a perfect season, but he's on first ballot Hall of Famer. He's probably gonna make you please not a first ballot Hall of Fame just because of that he should be in the Hall of Fame because he beat Brady twice any Solaris on Twitter when him and Brady go back and forth. Yeah, no, just because they he ruined their word perfect season. Just because it is nice to talk will absolutely never get over that you shouldn't. By the way completely robbed but still I cannot put Eli in the Hall of Fame first ballot.

In fact, I honestly terms of your ability. I think Rivers and Rutherford are better players than him, but Rivers didn't want any super Bowls. By the way their training for each other. Let's not forget I didn't one play where know what you I do not want to play and send that Ryan Eli didn't want to play in San Diego and there's that hilarious picture on draft night when he's actually holding up a Chargers jersey because he was a member of the Chargers for 15 minutes for 15 minutes in the entrée he's got that unhappy look on his face telling what am I doing holding this jersey face is not pleased, but it worked out for him, but that's going to be interesting to hear what comes out of that room. When the writers debates Eli Manning's Hall of Fame candidacy like you could sell the two Super Bowl rings right but what else what else you selling on Eli Manning's resume. Tons of interceptions and 366 touchdowns 57,000 yards. Okay, I never led the league in touchdown passes or yards passing lately. Interceptions three times.

He's a 117, 117, was his career record as a starting quarterback in the regular-season literally 500 I was you better postseason quarterback so that we stinking Joe Flack going because of that right. Just like with Acma postseason quarterback. Now he only has one ring and that's the difference I just have a talk. I have a hard time with it. I really do.

I have a hard time putting you.

I Manning Hall of Fame.

Do you have a whole hard time putting Jim Plunkett in the Hall of Fame expressed the same guy yes and that's why the hard time no see putting you.

I am in people feelings a different generation right for Jim Plunkett and Eli Manning, Jim Plunkett was also a was the first pick in the draft. I believe right at a Stanford yes his career record is also 72 and 72 exactly 500 and I'll get too many ebbs and flows in his career and you can't look at numbers obvious because back then numbers were different right leg. Joe Namath through four interceptions in touchdowns. Plunkett two more interceptions in touchdowns.

Completion percentage was a little over 50%. That's because that's the way football was back then just cut threw it up at times right so these approvals yeah I do for 20 almost 26,000 yards hundred 64 touchdowns hundred 98 interceptions never led the league in touchdowns or yards did lead the league interceptions.

Once I can put it. I Plunkett and I know you want twice by Campell Plunkett in I Eliza tough young Eli you at least has some statistics right Plunkett statistics are very pedestrian. Yeah, I got my putting Plunkett in and Eli's not getting in the first ballot. Not happening. Your tough tough I am tough I am tough at that and then the deck Prescott situation. I want you know that Prescott's an interesting story. We know were six years into deck Prescott being that this is your seven of deck Prescott being the starting quarterback of the Dallas Cowboys and no separate 2020 where you got hurt. He's played pretty much every game right last season he played 16 of the 17 games. Before that, prior to 2000 22,016 through 2019 for four years.

He played every game. Overall, the statistics are really really good. This is a guy that's over 22,000 yards in 85 games hundred and 43 touchdowns only 50 interceptions, offer tremendous season 37 touchdowns 10 pics last year is quarterback rating for his career is in shade under 99 fact, he's never had a season under 96.9 except for his second year in the league in that little sophomore slump so statistically deck. Prescott is really you know a tremendous quarterback, no question about it right in the deck.

Prescott is on his way to one heck of a career. But what is that all mean and I say that because people started question is he the Russell Westbrook or Carmelo Anthony of the NFL great individual numbers, but isn't taking the team anywhere. His playoff records one and three's been up last three years for games and the one in three. He's done his share and always played fairly well. Hard to say right.

I mean, plenty of career left for deck Prescott. I'm not ready to label him Russell Westbrook or Carmelo Anthony a.k.a. just a stack compiler.

I think he's more than just a static compiler and he still is plenty of football (Russell Westbrook is on the downslope of his career. Carmelo Anthony is now just a role player who just kinda hangs on because he loves basketball, but neither guy is winning rings and you know really being a champion, or even their wedding rings doing it because Eventbrite to come out when a ring with the Lakers look it up. I hope not but Carmelo Anthony when a ring with the Lakers Lakers 1 W two years ago on the chair was at last Rick two years ago, two years ago 2000 22,021 rank is with Milwaukee after that. Okay, so he was not he was not with the Lakers. The use of the Lakers just last year. Okay, so he did not win a ring so Carmelo is ring list and he's played in this league a very very long time. He's nearing 120 years in this league, and Russell Westbrook is never wondering and probably never will wouldn't win a ring unless you just, latches onto a team Prescott six years into before we start labeling him the ultimate stack compiler like Westbrook or Carmelo give the guy like another five, six years right. He's not winning anything by then. Then we will re-introduce this conversation and we will call in the NFL's for herself. Russell Westbrook/Carmelo VI Britney Greiner in Russia. Developments in her case, what is it mean that ultimately each evening coming home anytime soon. There is a big development but does it really help her at all.
