There is an amazing history to teen challenge David Dom Wilkerson, you're going to hear from a first-hand witness today stage for the line of fire with your host activist and author, international speaker and theologian Dr. Michael Brown your voice of moral cultural and spiritual revolution Michael Brown is the director of the coalition of conscience and president of fire school of ministry get into the line of fire now by calling 866-34-TRUTH. That's 866-34-TRUTH here again is Dr. Michael Brown blessings and grace to all of you today on the line of fire traditional Jews around the world Summit finish their fasters are fasting right now asking God for mercy and repentance.

Let's pray that God would convict deeply of sin and reveal the forgiveness that comes through the Messiah during this sacred time.

Thanks so much for joining us today on the line of fire will will have a great thoroughly Jewish Thursday broadcast tomorrow talk more about these issues and some really interesting news from Israel.

But today our focus is different and a few minutes we are going to be joined by the daughter of Dom Wilkerson. She has a great book out with a history of David Dom Wilkerson and with the history of teen challenge ministry so really really neat. Were going to talk about that. I think you can be tremendously encouraged when you hear that phone lines are open. If you have a question you'd like to ask me 86634.

Truth is number to call 866-348-7884 before we talk to Julie and before we talk about teen challenge and amazing story of of divine intervention of divine mercy of hope. If if you're an addict. If you struggle with addiction. If you have a family member that does the bottom of the hour.

Julie and I will begin discussing things so called friend tell them to truly manage yourself can listen with hope and encouragement.

But we we got it we got a deal with the news that's around us right now the Supreme Court hearings are right so here's the latest as of yesterday and earlier today, the accuser of Justice Cavanaugh Christine Prof. Christine Bracey for the said that she will not testify before the Senate Judiciary Committee until the FBI conducts a full investigation of the charges she's bringing namely that roughly 36 years ago. Justice Cavanaugh when he was a teenager and prep school was drunk and sexually assaulted her and there's another friend there Mark judge, and that would judge jumped on the pile as well.

She was able to fully which never told anybody about it until 30 years went by and came up in a therapy session. So he is strenuously denied. This of course he wants to meet with the Senate Judiciary Committee to clear his name immediately. Mark judge the alleged other perpetrator in this for the other man involved, the city has no recollection of this is this absolutely nuts and that is never seen by Cavanaugh behave like this. She identified another person that was allegedly at the party and he said no recollection of this never seen Justice Cavanaugh act like this. So now you got the other witnesses saying never happened right you have the fact that he's been vetted by the FBI.

Someone told me earlier today in an interview I was doing was that it six times by the FBI and and I spoke with Bob I heard from one man who had been vetted one time by the FBI and city rather go through an uncomfortable surgery then have that happen again. I mean detail detail detail detail dig dig dig get your past dig up dirt look for, what about this. What you don't want something to come up later. All right, very few of us would come out of a vetting process like that smelling good all right so she is now saying she will not testify unless there's an FBI investigation the FBI from what I understand is raise it twice. There's nothing to look into. So you have on the one side things very questionable from her can't even identify the exact place. Wonder that where the party was and what year and how she got it all, that no details of that. So the court of law. From what I could tell, this would not stand. 10 seconds. It would just be an accusation without any details aside for the fact it's 36 years late without any details and and then along with that other witnesses now three, including the accused also never happened. Never have.

Okay that's on the one hand, on the other hand, we must always seek justice. We must always seek impartiality. What if, let's let's turn the let's just turn the tables here for second right let's ask a totally different question. What if this was Hillary Clinton, Pres. Hillary Clinton. She won the elections right and so so your conservative. Let's say you you didn't vote for right in your conservative let's say she was seeking to appoint a justice who would be as liberal as Ruth Bader Ginsburg as pro-abortion is pro-LGBT activism as Ruth Regensburg or just Salancik and that's it was a man all right for the narrative here and the woman came forward and brought charges that she's been sexually assaulted by him. Would you be quicker to believe her. Then your professor for would you be quicker say that would have FBI must investigate put the judiciary committees on hold this area that the hearing on hold no vote and ember should look enough women to been sexually assaulted. It's hard to come forward.

The me to movement give these women a voice empower this woman and stand with her and don't do it. Some of the other men doing the society is just casted off her ass. She was asking for the Wii cantilever. She was drunk or whatever right so what I'm challenging is our biases because truth be told, most of us live in an echo chamber and I reinforce your views, you reinforce my views and and then we hear those we differ with rather than sing his credibility to.

Could this be known that we dismiss it immediately. We throw it out immediately. All right, so I got a new article on our on our website Esther to know itself and its Souci on stream in the stream.org. I got an article about that. The challenge of impartiality right. How can we seek impartiality. How can we seek out justice. Okay, so the article is called Justice Cavanaugh versus Prof. Ford the challenge of impartiality and I note, justice must be impartial must be fair, it must not have preconceived notions it must not show favoritism must be guided by evidence rather than preferences by facts rather than sentiments, but in the real world justice is hard to come by right now. I did up on Twitter. I asked my Twitter followers if they believe Justice Cavanaugh professor for their underside. 74% said they believe Justice cover 6% professor for 20% underside. I did the same for Paul on Facebook reckon only the only allowed two choices are on Facebook of Esther to Brown page and and it was 97% believe Justice Cavanaugh and only 3% believe for so civil why, why wouldn't people believe her.

While the timing of the accusation surfacing in Sen. Feinstein only bringing it to life. Now, even though from Winston. She was aware of it. In July, only brings to light now so the timing of the accusation and surfacing now after all these decades of the professor's own liberal anti-trump background and tried-and-true democratic strategies. If you think back to Anita Hill and Clarence Thomas. All right, so this is in that sense out of the standard playbook and there is reason for suspicion and in light my colleague on stream, Al Parada pointed out that the chooser Prof. Ford doesn't know the date the week and the month that the alleged sexual assault to place his name sure about the year just from how the party came about this member where the party was just a who owned the house just know who invited her. She does know how she got there just know how she got home and abroad. As she does remember drinking. It was only decades later during psychotherapy to the story. Mers according to for this is where she realized the impact the alleged incident had on her life and relations could all just be imaginary. It could all just be completely imaginary look. There are people with uncovered Susan with covered over hurts and pains and during counseling. The thing comes to life and so the child remembers with how the reviews and they covered in the submerged it and its traumatic within the get healing and freedom from. It also happens that people imagine things that never happened and in the fact that you got all these details to merit how she has a part has got home remembers this happening. Never happened at all.

Minneapolis somebody else made. Who knows, right. Maybe she's all right lying on the on the flipside, yet more judge and and I'm getting into this little exercise here for the to teach us to talk to us to invite us to examine our hearts and to see if we seek impartiality. Let's now flip things around and say that one of the people that was allegedly there was Justice Cavanaugh, Mark judge has said that was absolutely nuts have no recollection of this of the missing brick Cavanaugh act like this, but there's an article on on on CNN's Alice I see on it most. That's the whole thing. We write the sources of media we merely dismiss it if if you conservative like the conservative sites is deliberate, like the liberal sites and I can just post a news report from CNN or Huffington Post as some concerns like I don't read that is not good news report or for others help all post from from from Breitbart or Fox or Iran agree that this is the news report so the biases of their right so Sophie Tatum on CNN notes that more judge wrote the book wasted tales of a Gen X drunk where he details his experience of extensive drinking while attending Georgetown preparatory school. Let's were justice, one with them just writes that he's shocked about what he got away with in high school, recalling beach parties that hundreds of people attended. Another point he describes his high school is positively swimming and alcohol are the also harsh words were president, Mrs. Obama, not to mention quite a few comments that can be taken to sexually degrading to women and CNN also notes attorney Seth Baron Zweig Virginia-based lawyer who otherwise has no connection to Cavanaugh or the allegations was given a copy of the high schools 1983 yearbook by an individual who requested anonymity yearbook features Such As These Guys Beat Their Wives and Prep Parties Raise Question of Legality Subsidy Being Silly and in a Frat House Type Talk, but Fact Is Doing Believe More Judge Is a Witness That Might My Suspicions Are Very Grave against the Accuser for Many Reasons, and No One Else's. Come Forward with a Similar Story about Justice Cavanaugh. No One Else That Is Ever There Were Some I Thought This Note.

Not a Single One Is Said They've Ever Seen a Mac like This and Almost Passed in All These Years and This Is after the FBI's Extensive Vetting and Vetting and Vetting and Vetting of Him to Their Many Reasons.

All Right When You Get to the Heart of What Is Really Going on with the Battle over the Confirmation of Brett Cavanaugh for Supreme Court, the Real Issue Is Not a Question of Sexual Assault. The Real Issue Is Not Is He Qualified to Sit on the Bench.

The Real Issue Is Stop Him at All Costs, Because He Might Be a Deciding Vote That Could Overturn Roe V Wade, the Real Issue Is Abortion. That Is the Issue. A Woman's Quote Right to Abortion, Hence the Protests.

Hence, the Anger, Hence the Last-Minute Tactics to Derail This God Knows What Happened or Didn't Happen with Prof. Ford. God Knows Every Detail. Justice Cavanaugh's Life, but That Is Really Not the Big Issue Here.

This Is a Battle about Abortion and Let Me Just Say That God Willing, As the Supreme Court Takes Righteous Steps to Undo Its Unrighteous Acts in the past or Something Happens That One Day Undermines Roe V Wade, and Now It Goes Back to Individual States. You Are Going to See Anger like You Have Not Seen before.

You'll Contrast That with Pro-Life Rallies with Peaceful, Gracious Pro-Life Rallies with Decades and Decades of Compassionate Pro-Life Work in Front of Abortion Clinics and Yes There Been A Few Atrocities A Few Terrible Horrific Inexcusable Acts Were Some of Was Shot.

Someone Was Wound but for That Decades and Decades of Activism, of Reaching out to Pro-Life Rallies.

These Things Are the Terrible Ugly Exceptions to the Massive Massive Rule. Contrast That with What You See in the Pro-Abortion Demonstrations. The Anger and Hatred of Vileness. II Mean Things That Are Ugly Bathroom Type Ugly Being Done in Public.

All Right If There Is Further Damage Done to the Pro-Abortion Because If There Is Further Turning Towards Righteousness and Compassion to Save the Lives of the Unborn and Ultimately to Do What's Best for Mothers Which Is Never Killing the Child in the Womb. If We See More Return like That. If This Sacred Cow Gets Threatened Expect All Hell to Break Loose. Expect Anger Vial Anger Anger against God.

Anger against Christians Anger against the Bible. Anger against Conservatives Anger against the Courts Anger against Republican Party and Upper Republican Party Last Because There's There's Enough Corruption There, and Then the Whole Political System. Mark My Words Friends, the More This Gets Threatened.

The More You Will Hear Screaming on a Hysterical Level Now in the Midst of All This, There Are Women Who Are Struggling and Hurting and for the Most Part They Are Not the Ones That Are out There Protesting and Yelling and Screaming. There Is a Poor Woman Living in a Rundown Community with Three Kids That She Can Barely Feed and Her Boyfriend Took Advantage of Her and Now She's Pregnant and She's She Can't Possibly Countenance Bringing in Child Number Four without a Father in the Home and End and She's Struggling Do I Abort the Baby and That We Want to Put Her Arms around Them and We Want to Love on That Woman and We Want to Say Hey That Baby in Your Room Is a Gift from God and It Is Not a Gift That You Can Keep Their Many Others That Will Cherish That Gift and Raise That Gift and Pour into That Child in a Way That You Will Be Proud to Meet That Kid.

Years Later, You Don't Condemn That Person Is Wicked Files Sent out Even Consider If You Recognize There Are Some People Wrestling and Those That Think Will My Baby Was Diagnosed As Handicapped in the Womb, and I Don't Think I Have with This Going to Take to the Care for Handicapped Child, yet There There Are Deep Difficult Issues and That's Where the Church We Love Life, We Who Love People. That's Where We Come Together and Help and Support and Say There Is Hope and There's an Answer, Don't Kill That Baby, Let's Let's Look at This Together and Find a Solution That Will Bring Life and Happiness and Hope to All, There Are Solutions Friends Saved Again, the Battle over the Confirmation of Justice Cavanaugh Is a Battle over the Quote Right to Abort Babies in the Womb, You Will See the Most Radical Feminist Anger. The Most Antimale Anger. The Most Perverse Public Actions and and Even Acts of Violence. You Will See Them Commonly on Some Level or Another to Support a Woman's Quote Right to Abort One of the Most Interesting Things of All, You'll Find Satanists Joining in Your Find Atheist Joining in Your Find Gay Activists Joining in. You Think. Is It Interesting How They All Come Together so Aggressively Opposing the Cause of the Life of the Incident. That's the Battle Is over.

All Right, I Think Tonight I Want to Write an Article about That.

I Tweeted Let Me See If I Can Find That the Tweet That I Might Say That You Hear Here Is, I Sent This out Last Night Regardless of the Charges against Justice Cavanaugh. This Much Is Absolutely Clear. The Frenzied Attempt to Try to Keep Them Out Of the Supreme Court Is Simply a Battle for the Right to Abort Babies in the Womb. That's the Bottom Line and and Then and Then I I Saw an Article on Red State.Come to See If If I Can Spot That an Article on Red State That Said This Very Thing. Where Is This Year yet What What It Simply Said Was Bottom on This Is Not about Sexual Assault We Misunderstood. This Is Not about Sexual Assault. This Is about Abortion so Whatever Happened with Prof. for the Truth Come to Light, but the Facts Come to Light and Then We Evaluate Based on That, Not Based on Political Preconceptions Not Based on Our Own Leanings. Liberal Conservative Not Based on Any of the Not Based on Prof. Ford's Political History or Liberal Views Not Based on Prof. Justice Cavanaugh's Conservative Leanings Simply Based on Evaluating the Facts As Best As We Can Look at the Overall Body of Evidence.

All Right, Fair Enough. That's What We Do but We Also Isolate and Recognize That This Battle. This Frenzied Attempt to Protest the Crazy Efforts That Have Been Made. The Slanderous Charges That Have Been Brought against Him. They Are All Inspired by the Desire to Keep Abortion Legal in America up to the End of the Ninth Month of Pregnancy. I Mean, That's Where We Stand Right Now Legally under Review, We Locate We Come Back Changing Gears. I Think You Really Going to Enjoy This Interview a Brand-New Book out Giving Hope and Address a Road Endorsement for the Book and Reading It It It Gave Me Insight into David and Tom Wilkerson As Many Hours As I Spent with Them and Preaching Ministry for Them.

It Ends up Being Used by God to Launch a Ministry. So for Those That Don't Know the Story Tell Us the Story Well. It Looks like You Brought Reproach to the Gospel. But God's All Right and and Again Folks Get the Book, Giving Hope and Actress Julie Wilkerson Close the Less Than KL Oh, S. E. Giving Hope an Address You'll Find It to Be an Enjoyable Read of Faith Building Read and Encouraging Reef and Judy There Some Stories You Tell That There Are about the Beginnings of Things and Be with These Drug Addicts of the Whole, Though It Was a Wild See in an Assortment Let's Just Take One Little Picture What What Were They Filming What What Happened with the Story Well Last Night but Fell out My Uncle David Look at Getting a Little While Now and Hopping and Trying to Beat Gang Members and Dr. Hochberg Drugs and Felt He Knew That Yeah Okay Yeah I understand… Mechanically happening in New York City but Declan knew no one there to get that epidemic at the time and no one really understood but existing life outside of New York City or in major cities and fell on by my uncle what went every day and fell on he knew that he had a Dell and take back on if picture of what he thought every day and and get did you like it for people outside of pity and felt he and my father went out for riprap on a couple of an attorney or if they could tell man on skating at the top of the building and made this completely out of their world. To do this and that weld and conical being the daughter and aunt Annie well I think to basically email country country pastors are coming at the law right and I want to read the back of the and it happened but right there with something that really yelled into the heart of my and my father and my uncle of what you and the burden to reach last-minute extent on now it valid at the first part of my book that I reveal something that maybe what you know, writing a book about what at the time we have seen father to port 1400 program hundred and 25 country antimalarial tumbling and a daughter and in my family it still tumbling yeah and and what about the success rate of teen challenge.

Historically compared to the success rate of government programs interesting because I believe it with the family barely nail it live about 84% expect rate they really haven't been on what I can get a very common Daniel brought that anymore because it very hard to fit perfectly, very hard to put everybody story now and and insignificant back on. I can argue that people felt every day, even when I am writing a book about how many people have been cast in some way by the program at teen challenge, whether through on Or someone within the program told someone about Christ and it is amazing how many people are typing that if I had three and I only need I someone connecting to the ministry wherever that is the youngest jump in and talk about you. Your dad just this amazing spirit of faith in Susan's head working with him, seen him over the years talk about that the book giving Hope an address.

It's a greatly it's the line of fire with your host activist, author, international speaker and theologian Dr. Michael Brown and voice of more cultural and spiritual revolution get into the line of fire now by calling 6643 here again is Dr. Michael Brown thank you for joining us, friends, modifiers just looking over at Amazon PLO S giving.

Hope an address is committed earlier this month, the first reviews on Amazon all five-star so she read the book post review on Amazon encourage others to get it as well. Julie.

One thing that that I really especially enjoyed working with your dad and and and I got to the new dad better spent more time to scan hanging out having meals with with your with your dad over the years in New York City, but nothing ever seem to faze him. And I remember every question I have like okay for you to do this outreach how we follow from here is that you leave. That's us will take care that. And there was always a smile. There was always a faith and you had the sense that that there was this the spiritual foundation that was not easily shaken. So you were raised with with Don Wilkerson as your dad. What was he like in that respect is a father and did you see that same spirit in him as as a daughter growing up. I write my brother how different their personality. Were you and how unique they were at anybody, and any elemental Blanket at 11 to anybody with my uncle and my dad realized how unique they were on yeah I like that my dad, I really think in writing for a night.

Bad carpet on wanted to be a pastor and an he what he wanted to pastor a church like his back and really got good unicorn at Wellington time after I had done many people who have called him their spiritual father and you know now I at a daughter who had my own children and being that they call him back.

It means so much to me because I realized the role of the Dell many different people live on and gasoline tax counselor. That pastor will email a leader but a leader that people lead underhand and he's been a great role model for me and walking and ended knowing in writing at the plow guy and with a special purpose for the ministry at teen challenge this… Speaking of teen challenge.

Specifically, and he's working so my friends there over the years is the teen challenge internationally and then and then was involved in the teen challenge Brooklyn over the years. Again, more recently, want one thing that I found interesting is again is no drug background is not savvy and and yet he really learned how to deal with drug addicts and you. When I was doing drugs. My teen years because I was a long-term junkie or from that street culture.

I would get duped by these guys and their stories seem so believable, they get Oscar's for their acting so absolutely believable so your dad learned how quickly, but he learned that once you got the drug addicts saved and solid, and discipled that they were the perfect ones to run the programs because they make new drug addicts. They could see through the lies and for you the stuff out right yeah yeah you know people who are saved and reached through the history and and where reforms and acting out and everything in me and I got into the your dad your dad was real. Now we are on the street with people who are phony and we could see right through them by your dad and what effect me. I knew there was something about an appropriate rail on and I think that, with very very young when he happened to directly to the town and early 20th and you know he just stared at his struggle with with learning how to help Dr. coming off the street and Chronicle have got it comical that it like that is connected to you anybody for his purposes, and even someone like my dad when quite that that that barhopping doted on the rehabilitated with drug addiction on it. It really got an email" and I just read today on I thought it very rarely resonates with what what my father and uncle Ben with with Derek and King County. Thank God different to strike people are quite rock-bottom retreat people at rock bottom and back clicking sound effect and exactly what my uncle and my father knew what got you with people who broken and in addiction. Addiction, like any like I'm calling out yes so I want to ask a question about your uncle in the moment, but throughout the book, great stories great close again the name of the book giving Hope an address. I was very much filled with history of teen challenge a Red Cross and switchblade. Decades ago I saw the movie even before that, as a privilege of of working closely with David Wilkerson for years in the early 90s of been friends with Don. To this day spoken to him just a few months back in yet for me. The book brought me behind the scenes share things with me so if you know the whole story. You'll enjoy the books early if you don't know the story you gotta really to find out, but before I ask you question them about about your uncle so many stories in the book great quotes tell me what your favorite stories that you recounted in giving. Hope an address.

My grandmother and my grandmother on my grandfather died I eat right before right before King challenged, started, and now he didn't see anything desperate and my uncle and I think that's played in the movie and my grandmother on turned her lovingly mom Wilkerson. He was a part of an ministry in a very early again and I talk about her and my dad and my uncle ministry and basically a one wondering that one room apartment and her and her three in Greenwich LA and I knew that again this is all if I was born, but I didn't realize how I dangling prayer as my formal how bold she was and how their stupid bifold like a lion, and he just went even even a five but humanity and the tiny one and I got anybody in the comp data tracking gone to street minister and I think that another part of worry thinking that I kind of feel like a night and I think I'm wearing nothing a little bit.

Evangelism on going out and get going out and being bold and telling other people about what that can giving their lives and at the grand directly affect their unique part of the story and through the book talks about what God is doing, but three people.

So it's is a human book in that respect we we just got a couple minutes Julie but obviously I got to know your uncle ministry setting. He was very compassionate and kind to me very gracious, very full of wisdom but also a real prophetic guy that you know I never felt totally relaxed. He was having a dinner one on one, just because of who he was.

What was it like to have David Wilkerson as an uncle Larry get out very similar element that promoting character. As you know I will have a different forehand in a way you know. Looking back, and on human language. How that uniform was an amazing way on again. I think that that it makes me appreciate different characteristics in both my father and uncle and knowing that God used her personality and email very different personality trait and very amazing way and they'll eat even know my uncle wasn't personable. Now that I knew him like your traditional uncle on. I'm just grateful out who he was seen as nice in the book. You can write a book about people that so exalts them that their untouchable and you can't ever think of being like them or then you can just make them so human that there's nothing inspiring about their lives, but I think you did a really good job of painting a picture of real human beings with with real weaknesses and challenges, but who really knew the Lord really went for it, stepped out in faith and am really walked in integrity and and God bless themselves in the last minute. What are you hoping that readers will get out of your book giving Hope an address where I want I want story and at what got people who went to the Canton program got home I blanketed on let people know that faith conflict action work I drop anything history. It I cannot prior how many people have found hope because of an industry and can't find other feedback had come out of town and they think the extent and I just kinda want to put it out there and why weren't connected reach out find out where your luck looking found it most likely have one in your state and that they think they thought that and he can create and re-create your life and addiction is not like since Erica taxes wrote the forward to the book as a set I've endorsed up estrogen symbol endorsed it, and above all said before Julie came on the air. If you're struggling with addiction. There is hope and if you just go to teen challenge. Just look online.
