About to hear some surly Jewish insights on worship and music from the gifted worship leader Paul Wilbur stage for the line of fire with your host activist and author, international speaker and theologian Dr. Michael Brown your voice of moral cultural and spiritual revolution Michael Brown is the director of the coalition of conscience and president of fire school of ministry get into the line of fire now by calling 866-34-TRUTH.

That's 866-34-TRUTH here again is Dr. Michael Brown was March 30, ninth teen 85 the first time that I administered the messianic Jewish congregation.

Even though I'm a Jewish believer in Jesus even been involved in Jewish outreach for many many years.

This was the first time in the messianic Jewish interrogation with other Jewish believers identifying his views and and a lot of it was new and different to me and then the music started the minute cementing Paul Wilbur with the worship team called Israel's hope and the moment I'm time at the instant they began to minister. I felt the presence of God in the room looked at my wife Nancy also Jewish believer both of us with tears in her eyes. Realizing God was here in the midst of this congregation. I've been dear friends with Paul Wilburn out for many years. He is one of the most anointed worship leaders songwriters that I know in the world and his minister around the world.

Great heart for Israel great Hartford church minister to stadium size crowds in Latin America.

Just amazing legacy and a great guy, dear friend and when I wrote the power music, focus, and I've got to get to Paul Wilbur getting his hands and get some feedback from them and was really really blessed by what he had to say in us at Paul enjoy me on the air. So without further ado on this thoroughly Jewish Thursday broadcast Paul. Welcome to the line of fire.

Thank ninth grade to join you joy that to have you on their Paul, how many nations have you ministered in the we just added couple went apricot last week so that 8086 nations while in and what what kind of things to be seen in Latin America well the present and power of God is what I'm interested in music.

Of course, is been the calling card and I know that's what were going to speak about for a few minutes today anyway but you know what, without over exaggeration, the presence of God is what makes the difference.

So I tell people you know if if the presence of God ever stopped attending what I'm doing I'll just stay home and flip burgers or something in and ask people. Would you like fries with that because the presence of God that hooked me 42 years ago when I ran into it very unexpectedly in a church service chasing the pretty blonde girl to church and so that's what I have been not only impacted by but passionately pursuing to to deposit and share around the world. So what is present. As you know, Mike comes everything that he is the power to heal the conviction of souls to cry out, what must I do to be saved, including parents just four days ago hundred 20 people responded in an altar call in parent plant, but at the main thing Mike what's what's going on and I really believe were in a new time where the kingdom of God is being revealed so healing blind eyes open deaf ears and stop skin diseases disappearing people leaving crutches and wheelchairs you you know I mean it is just Jesus manifesting by the power of the Holy Spirit and and he does whatever we need for life and godliness because he loved it and this is without hype without trying to talk people into things, even without even talking about it, the presence of God coming in during worship, and it interesting what you discovered in Latin America is also a great heart for Israel and sense of connection to the Jewish people as you were stunned and some of the events there.

There Brady by helicopter places in the crowds there hours in advance you had this massive Latin American following and it was it was the music.

It was the anointing, but it was also Israel has evident that because we've we've had. I think the wrong kind of terminology for so long in. I went we talked about church and Jesus establishing his church. But isn't it interesting that that Jesus never spoken those terms. He said he spoke in terms of the kingdom.

He preached the kingdom. The kingdom of God which is Jew and Gentile. I've really come to believe Mike that you know the kingdom is here but not in fullness. We we experience than the new covenant that God has made without visible the house of Judah. Jeremiah 31 Ezekiel 36 but not exponents because there's more there is there's more to come.

Thank God when when no man will meet the fate of his neighbor know the Lord because the log know me from the greatest public that's part of that new covenant promise that he is establishing and so the kingdom is both Israel and the church does that mean that unsaved Israel or Israel. That doesn't recognize Jesus I'm saying that Romans 11 tells us that the fullness of the church. Verse 25 are the fullness of the Gentiles, so that verse 26 all Israel will be saved. There is a point in history when the bride will be prepared spotless and without wrinkle as he comes back with this kind of a bride for himself and Jerusalem is saying Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord, where all Israel will be saved where the church should be refined and purified to be a suitable wife for the King of all Kings and and I believe that the fees know that the speed and the time of the yes this new time asked three verse 21 he must remain in heaven until the time to restore all things with spoken about this just a little bit. You and I but I believe we have really entered into.

Now the time for all things to be restored and is heading towards that time of times when he cracked the sky at the sound of the shofar and in the shout of the angel of the Lord and and those of us are still alive or caught up together with the cloud first Thessalonians chapter 4 of my goodness. I could think are so exciting here Mike Jacksonville I could I could go on for hours were seeing a a reformation of transformation or restoration in a mega church here in Jacksonville that we've attended five or six years where Pastor that's Cristobal had an open vision of Yeshua. Jesus while I was preaching on the on the first night of Passover and it has so radically transformed the church that the that giving is up by 50% and an banal past buckets anymore. They have tzedakah boxes from the wall, something the praise and worship is prophetic. It's not just pre-song and in a cool video anymore and that the preaching is dynamic and insightful in its revelatory and for Christmas. Are you sitting down on setting the pastor did a like Shabbat for dummies book with that he gave up to the church and and said where were going to start doing that missing the 10th commandment to remember the Sabbath to keep it holy because he's these, that this was God's redline for the redeeming and the restoration of our homes turning our moms and dads been decreased in their own house. Another step towards the fullness of the kingdom and are in our midst. I'm telling you, I just came from a staff meeting that's supposed to be 15 minutes with a song and a prayer, and in an Encouraging Word and they turning their turning out to be two hours of of worship and revelation and excitement and testimony, the kingdom of God is at hand and this is the best time in all of history to be alive for me said about a dozen things there that I could jump in on it and run with but it is not reminds me Paul and I mentioned this in passing on on the broadcast yesterday and beyond with me today, but we are part of the same leadership team with Dan Juster and Russian preconscious golf back in Maryland.

There is a go before the guys went off to Israel and you are off to Chicago. Things but and I went off to Pensacola but when it sometimes would we be at one of these meetings and and you and I were never really liked big on, leadership means we sit there and take notes. The ditto talk about administrative stuff and endeavor. Sometimes a poor one. You place on this and whether that's get good that's the end of the meeting discussed the knowing I began to play and we begin to worship we get caught up with the Lord's lead start to pray it, of course, ostriches love to pray day and night so that will be the end of the meeting, but you know, even if it some of the Lord coming back with a shout that was also with the Blessed are the shofar is a musical instrument that accompanies the Lord's return and and obviously your your teacher and preacher of the word you go out and administering the dentist for many many years. You have so much to contribute your written books opening up the word, but the special tool that God is giving you to take this to the nations.

This is music and and anyone that's that's heard any of your projects. The many with integrity and epidemic, Jerusalem, and in other parts of the world know that that your your phone call is no different than the average person that was your singing just got a minute before the break, but you got some operatic training. Don't you yeah I didn't undergraduate degree in Cleveland, Ohio.

My voice teacher happened to be the cancer at the temple where I attended downtown Cleveland went from there to Europe study privately with one of the leading operatic voice teachers in Milan, Italy which is the seat of of operatic music came back, get a Masters degree in operatic music is Indiana University so I did put in a few years sassy absolute assessment: which website of Paul Wilbur.com folder that's being, you are Paul Wilbur.com just say what Paul said about my new book the power of music. Once again Dr. Brown is a downer outdone himself with the amount and scope of the research information and the impact rings were to the obvious conclusion for all of us would dedicate her allies just this purpose, making him known experience through powerful and anointed music and vessels. Also, I was brought to tears with the experiences of GF handle an incredible victory of the Messiah, remembering that his music still plays to sold-out audiences in Israel. I love the whole thing. Usually it is music related calls the line of fire with your host Dr. Michael Brown. Your voice is more cultural and spiritual revolution of your exam is Dr. Michael Brown is the voice of my best worship or the sparks along word all Wilbur and festival your friend friends.

If you have a Jewish related question since it is thoroughly Jewish Thursday phone lines are open 866-34-TRUTH 87884 that is 866-34-TRUTH to have a Jewish related question four months are open or a music related question 866-34-TRUTH 7884 Paul you recently did another major project in Israel and perhaps some your best-known projects that have really gone around the world and ministered to millions of people have been recorded in Israel in Jerusalem what's the significance of this. What what what makes it so unique and special.

When you record something in the land will have in Jerusalem. Of course being worship center of the universe we would we would record Abraham and Isaac there on the mountain and then we would remember David establishing that the city of the king and and all of the Psalm. Some of the best songs in the Scripture been written there. And then, then we have Jesus weeping over the city and and instituting the new covenant there in his body and blood on Golgotha and the resurrection. And if this is obviously the study, and then he returns there with his feet landing on the Mount of olives. This is the center of the universe and where sacrifices were made for many many years of the temple with animals and then the Messiah himself at the appointed times so am and this is also the place where issue what Jesus in Matthew 23 declares you'll never see me again. I was speaking to a Jewish audience in Jerusalem but but really technically speaking to the entire world will not see me again until Jerusalem. You declare the look about her semi-denied Blessed askew comes in the name of the Lord and so it makes perfect sense that this would be a place where offerings of worship are not only appropriate but but totally acceptable and so every time we go where were certain to make that declaration.

Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord this past feast of Tabernacles. We took out an incredible team along and joined another incredible team and picked from the land. Arab Christians, messianic Jews and and Christians from nations around the world will come to add their lives. There and we recorded a brand-new project called roar from Zion and the last third of that song is that chance and declaration again.

The look of the semi-denied Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord and Mike we had such a diverse audience week we performed quote" performs the project. Three different times and the first time at the Pavilion King of Kings auditorium windows that are different, pastoring their amazing church congregation them in the middle of Jerusalem, and there were two rows of Holocaust survivors. There were not yet Jewish believers and after the first quote" concert, we were inundated by not yet believing Jews with tears in their eyes asking what did I just hear someone ask prayer for healing and it's just, you know what I'm talking about the reaction left worshiping there is just off the charts amazing and and you know you you have amazing stories and credible sources been around the world and I think think we can get this one in a three or four minutes but have you read the interesting experiences during worship concert in maybe a Muslim country unbelievably with ministered in several different Muslim countries to buy. We we were asked to come and and do a concert. As it turned out, it will wound up being in the national tennis arena with 7000 people packed pack out and I was told that the laid Muslim cleric of the city would be there and he would be listening very carefully to the lyrics and I was given along with a laundry list of things I couldn't thing I went through my songs before hand and and tried to tried to read and write some lines because all of our songs are full of the name of the board Jerusalem etc. etc. and as we as we got there, I just felt a release from God, we had a huge group with us 100 voice choir and have my band.

My team from the net date and partway through the first song I just felt like I had just released from heaven just sing the songs as they are, which we did and went through the entire evening I had him I had a Muslim bodyguard who showed me that he was armed. On the way over to the place on the way back he was sobbing as he was driving and asked. He wanted to hear about 28-year-old Muslim bodyguard and he wanted to know. He kept us on the sidewalk for another hour. Tell me about this Jesus of Nazareth.

I met we could go on forever, but where in the in the Muslim sections of the Philippines pretty much the same response. Music is such an amazing communicator. The power of music and and I don't know if were going to get into any of what you wrote your your book. By the way, no smoke and you didn't pay me.

But what an amazing work and to know that you just did that in a couple weeks sitting down to blows me away, take me years to write a book but the power of why is it such a know people make.

Make the mistake music is not worship we could spend an hour and 1/2 on teaching what really is worship but in a nutshell, I would say that the music is really cool that provokes us can provoke us to worship as music is the only element I know of in the universe that ministers are effects our whole experience of human beings at the same time body soul and spirit. It is excessively true and and by the way, I have written some books and and just to three weeks. This this when I did research domain over period of of Monson, and I was getting stirred as I wrote, but it is a chapped dream about how music affects the brain and in the chapter in the book about music and in movie soundtracks and things like that and it is amazing that suddenly the whole atmosphere can change so that when you join that with powerful lyrics when you join up with the presence of the spirit of enjoyment with a heart that loves God I literally do not know any single tool more powerful than that that that we just describe their concern because God inhabits the praises of his people. With some 22 verse three which is probably more than any other verse quoted when it comes to praise and worship, but the you know, people often mistake soft, quiet, the goosebumps that appears on the cheeks with that worship quote" worship song that they really love and really the role of that music that when it's paired with the word of God and the presence of God is to provoke the heart of man to truly worship which I believe in a nutshell, the word worship. In the Hebrew as you know, Shankar cabal to put your faith in its place. If you will, and to him and to adore the Lord and their Greek cross Kineo to kiss towards, but there is another element of worship that we so missed in the west end and that I believe is the is the listening year you company for a king you're not there to tell him everything that you know but you're here there to listen just to hear what he has to say. And then the finishing touch on a worshiper as you come thou down you would door you listen and then you stand to obey. So Genesis 22 for me is such a powerful chapter of a great describe her of the true worshiper that that Jesus says in in John chapter 4. The father is seeking this so Abraham the first.

The first mentioned our English Bibles of worship. He's going to go and worship with her son Isaac. You know that's about going up offer up Isaac so other obedience and surrender to God a Paul if you'd like to stay over the insula break only take some interesting calls and you're welcome to join you in answering or not answering.

So if you stay past the break.

That's awesome and friends to get my book and also will send you the audio files for this interview with Paul Wilbur today and the other interviews.

Three other interviews earlier in the week with songwriters and worship leaders and singers. All that together, the new book how music and the audio interviews from Tuesday Wednesday Thursday my website right now.*Around asking your Brownsville is assigned the book with the Scripture as well is the line of fire with your host Dr. Michael Brown get into the line of fire now going to 866-34-TRUTH your exam is Dr. Michael Brown broadcast just to air now as I am flying, but appreciate your prayers for Grace on about 40 something hours of travel in each direction overseas and then for fruitful times of ministry and fellowship wall in India. These are not public evangelism meetings. We don't proselytize when we are in India we do leadership training so it is a ministry business trip for me to pour into church planters and believers and strengthen and to participate in ministry school graduation and things like that. So we go over in that capacity not to do proselytizing work, which relieved to the locals there to the evangelist. We go to serve in other ways, so be praying that doesn't make it any less strenuous trip, but I say that for me were Indian friends that are listening and watching. Just so you know what were doing in your amazing country right so I've asked for some your best questions on Facebook and twitter the things that trouble you the most that bother you questions biblical questions was his first lien.

So were answering them taken some time to do a concert great great questions.

Matt wants to know what's the unforgivable sent hate because we've answered this many many times is good asked Dr. Brown.org SK your Brown.org and just type in blasphemy of the spirit or unforgivable sin and you'll see videos will be explicitly answer those questions. Like John, first Thessalonians 415, Paul at least at some point in his ministry believe that Christ would return before he died. Certainly, it's very possible and maybe even probable, and some of his language which seems to suggest that, but for generations. That's also been the norm that we have a hope and expectation that Jesus will come in our life that remains raise my hope will come in my lifetime. There's a massive vision is put in our hearts in terms of what our assignment is and what we want to see happen while we have breast and if it all happens then yeah the only thing left is for him to return. So Marana summer NASA calm Lord. Oh Lord, even so, come, Lord Jesus. But yes, she did not have a specific prophecy like Peter about how he would die. He was given a prophecy about how much she would suffer, but I only had a specific prophecy that he knew through his whole life that he would be beheaded by Caesar that he would die a certain way so yeah, it's probable that some of the languages we who are alive and remain that he thought he could well be one of them that make sense that makes sense given his face and in the rapid way in which the gospel was spreading. Why couldn't it all happen in a lifetime of okay let's see Michael the Census of Quirinius was a census of Judea taken by previous soup to see us query us, Roman governors forgive the mispronunciation there a Roman governor of Syria upon the imposition of direct Roman rule in today and succeed the gospel of Luke uses census to explain the birth of Jesus in Bethlehem of the gospel also places the birth of Jesus during the reign of Herod the great died nine years before the earliest possible date of the census, the possible resolution of this contradiction seems possible and most scholars think that the author of the gospel made a mistake. Yes, you have laid out the difficulties of you have laid out the problems of saying okay the census we know about dates here and there. The census would have to be dated earlier several years earlier for it to work.

So yes, some scholars believe that Luke made a mistake. Some scholars believe that others say we simply don't have all the information there must be another census that's being spoken of is a bit isn't that like cheating. Isn't that like saying well here's the test is 2+2 = 4 and Lucid 2+2 = 5 all Luke must've known something we don't know what there's a reason for saying that the right there's a reason for saying that, and I'm just grabbing one of the relevant commentary as as I'm speaking. So the reason for saying that is that Luke was a meticulous historian. Luke spent many many years examining the documents and in examining what others had written in the oral traditions.

He was meticulous in his work and in in doing
