This is dry when Josh Graham drive support for one month away from college basketball season to say about the Tar Heels AC operation basketball is next Tuesday in Charlotte at something a bit thinking about for a while but have now just mustered up the courage to say it aloud on the spot.

I don't view North Carolina as an ACC contender this year that Sarah said at least not yet. It's mostly because North Carolina is going to be reliant on freshman more than normal, probably more than any other Roy Williams team we've seen probably sent 2009 or 2006. Those two seasons. Not really year to remember North Carolina basketball too much for freshman reliant teams don't when the ACC it's that simple. Duke's last regular-season title and comfort was 2010 that next year. Tyree Irving started playing that was the start of the Duke one and done era. I don't think it's coincidental to look through the entire history of the ACC find me the year where a freshman late in the freshman reliant team won the conference and regular-season literally has not happened is not one example you could maybe go to 2010 2011. The closest thing would be Harrison Barnes with UNC but Tyler Zeller was an ACC player of the year: Anthony's good be asked to be North Carolina's best player Armando Bay cotton might be the second if not he start behind leaky black speaking of a cot that leads the next thing Roy Williams only has two forwards he could trust right now and that's assuming they can't get to be that guy. It's still an assumption, but all I've read so far. They cot is in great shape. He's a five star player if he has an excellent season. He potentially could be another North Carolina wanted done in the post so it might be generous. I putting Baycol in that category. Garrison Brooks. He seems to add but have added things to his offense of game but aside from those to who else is there, you might be thinking what about Sterling Manley. He's back to North Carolina to see Roy Williams said this at his press conference yesterday when asked about Manley status is not practicing. I don't know remembering I'm not going to go to Rivera loved. We walked. I get tired answer the same negative question, but I don't know.

I really don't limit storage not doing anything. I mean nothing and the easiest way to figure that out is that when he gets to the point that he can start practicing it will tell you it doesn't shoot good Ronnie don't get down and stay at sea six Napoli if you're asking what's the progress report Deborah, I have no idea.

I have no idea. There's no other way. You can ask me anything. I have no idea do not know when he will play. Yikes. Doesn't shoot hasn't run can even get down into his stance, it can't get much worse than that and it away. Roy Williams broke a little bit of news. While talking about Manley as well. The surgery left over laser surgery price of that went over by the is not playing looks really damn good in a suit standing on the side that's all I got is not playing so can't really bank on that guide the way that is described get you up Brooks you have.

They cot may be Brandon Huffman complacent minutes for you. I imagine North Carolina go small. That's probably the best way to do it even though Roy would prefer having the two pigs in there and Brooks and they can't seem to both be capable of that. But when you don't have that many reliable pigs. You might be best suited doing what North Carolina did two years ago I'm playing Theo at the four way they did plainly keep lack the same way you play video two years ago and having Justin Pierce, who apparently is an aggressive rebounder be the one that can spell that guy in a smaller lineup and you just stagger the minutes with a cot and Brooks for most of the game you might start by Brooks and Bay cotton than most of the minutes. It's a smaller lineup until you get to the final five minutes. In both guys arrested enough to play at one time but I think UNC might be better served playing a smaller lineup thoughts welcome 33 677-1600 on Twitter at sports on dry. It does, but Johnson taken your fault. Phone calls at 777-1600 I can see and I agree with what you're saying there because a a lot of people realize that Sterling Manley was probably the most polished offensive post player that Roy had coming back like he has a very good offense of game he had issues with famine rebounder and his legs basically since he stopped when Chapel Hill scampered good rebounder.

He was a player that when he was in the game. It was impactful. Heck, even the Duke game.

I believe the final home game for North Carolina last played a role when he got to the game that was very key for North Carolina, but you can't rely on that guy. So after Bay cotton Brooks it's Huffman.

Maybe Walker Miller West Miller's brother.

I don't see that either I can come to see Roy rotating leaky black and Justin Pierce in the four spot. Pierce is 67 leaky 68 be there with their wing, line up because you have coal out there to probably have Brandon Robinson so you basically have four wings and a and a center out there to give one of them a break. But you know Roy wants to run both.

They cot and Brooks together, they probably start together, we might not be able to do that to a certain point, but regardless of what they do. I think it's going to take time for this group to figure it out. I'm not saying they won't like it wanted surprised if this team gels and the makes it to the final four we saw with Duke and 15.

We saw it with Kentucky in 2012 and there are some experienced players in this roster that weren't there for Kentucky and Duke in those times, but there's got to be times this year where in the regular season, you have ahead scratcher to because there's just so much to figure it out. I doubt it will be in time to win a regular-season at the top of the Duke even when Duke has these great teams in advance to the NCAA tournament had at once.

2010 because these freshman teams. It takes time for them. The gel felt North Carolina. I don't really view them as a contender to win the ACC.

This regular-season preseason poll going into media day operation basketball next week. I like Louisville when the week. Love what Chris Mack has returning Enoch and war, but deciding to return to Louisville rather than go Pro you bring in.

Samuel Williams said a top 25.

Blair, you have just great collection of young players and returning guys so I like Louisville to win the league Duke ring point guard back to bring Jack White back in Alex O'Connell, Javad Gloria, I think those things matter. In addition to having Kasha Stanley was just dropping these insane highlights of practice. So far Duke. I think it makes up the top tier level I Duke two. Believe it or not. I trust Virginia more right now that I trust North Carolina just because you got champions on this team and it's Clark and it's do you keep day and it's Braxton Teal was the leading rebounder for the Cavaliers last year and Jay Huff I think is good to be a more effective player than Jack salt was starting these last few years so they bring that back at a better recruiting class than they normally do in years. I trust Tony Bennett recruits in that system. So, believe it or not I like Virginia.

Despite losing Jerome die and Hunter to be third in the ACC and North Carolina joins Virginia and that second-tier next group I don't know who's in a finish fifth and who's gonna finish eighth out of Syracuse NC state Clemson and Notre Dame will ACC football with Andrea Abelson when she joins us in a little over five minutes from ESPN. We have a twitter poll that we just put out there since it is October 3 Sunday with the beaming girls that in that movie Lindsay Lohan's character said it was October 3 that he asked me what day it was. People seem to remember very strange things from that movie but we started discussing Regina George Emin George and his enemy girls.

This movie it's Rachel McAdams character and she had a three year run where she did mean girls at 2004. She did the notebook in 2005 wedding crashers in 2006, and we simply asked the question on Twitter and you can vote on this poll at sports have tried address Graham radio what is peak Rachel McAdams on the legal definition to be loose here.

I think it's the first person you think of in your mind. The first Rachel McAdams character you think in your mind is what and that's probably peak Rachel McAdams got a lot of votes already on this bowl. 54% of the polls says wedding crashers Claire that's peak Rachel Adams 29% said the notebook 17% say meager 17% is pulled up the rear to third. Amazing. That's crazy to me while some people feel and what were talking about movies. There's a real argument in the Panthers locker room. This could impact Sunday's game against the Jaguars to get up before talking about the Joker movie comes up tonight and according to Brenda Marx of the Charlotte Observer and impassioned debate has broken out in the locker room were Brian Burns and Cheryl McCoy are debating whether Batman or Spider-Man would win in a fight. Brian Burns thinks it is Spider-Man and Cheryl McCoy is not buying that argument really bonded dealer notice just given him. Given the deep thought here right, Batman is basically the DC version of Iron Man is Spider-Man you can use a little bit more flexibility in how we can get around. He also can like to stay far and then use the Spidey webs to his advantage. It also the spider gave him more strength to so you have those three things working in your corner.

You gotta think that -4, 400 that Spider-Man is an overwhelming favor to get now that I think it went, but Spider-Man -400 just call it what it is better and smarter baboon probably going to use Margaret as of a 45 typically build some sort of device to fight big Iron Man 16 is in high school yet.

He's like a sophomore, junior high school. Toby McGuire Spider-Man was in high school they picked them up after I graduated college and is working at the right of you will think you working at the daily bugle and you're in high school. Tom's unbelievable actually was freelancing in high school so yeah he was the answer to be Spider-Man every day of the week. ESPN Andrea Abelson will share her thoughts on Wake Forest and her concerns with the Clemson Tigers next on the drive talks force that is most you would like what you got this drive Josh Greyhound not used Andrea Adelson, we are being joined by Andrea Abelson ESPN. I wonder this for a while that we never talked about it.

Andrea, how often does your name get messed up you will get to the football and what Andrea Andrea.

We were both that Clemson North Carolina on Saturday and I see a lot of overreaction in college football this week what your level of concern with Clemson as they headed to the by what I kept confident in my top four and I think it was a little ridiculous for people to take them out of their top four. At this point based on what happened this past weekend was it pretty now. It was ugly but not perfect adequately fed up Mike afterward fired and the coaches and when you're at 28 point favorite. The only win by this in your cheek because you have to stop at two point conversion at the end.

Then you're the number one team in the country you're going to get a heaping amount of criticism that at the same time I don't really think we can forget how this team play and the opening part of this season and the way that they really took apart everybody else that out with on the schedule and by the way they played for.

I believe power five team five which hardly anybody else in the country had done at this point in the event so you know I expect now that that by week is here that you work on trying to get a little bit more consistency in rhythm going on offense trying get defensive line in particular to play with a little bit more consistency. Did I think they've been using their linebackers and DPs not a lot of blitz packages admit they want to try and work on being able to get more pressure with the men that they have upfront so I don't really that this is a team that is in trouble or in crisis your current these games before where they get close calls or they start kind of slow on offense rolling toward the end to another ACC championship will see how they look like they play Florida State next weekend, and every title team has that Clemson had twice last year with Syracuse and Texas A&M and Bama.

They were in non-division champ two years ago Ohio State lost at home to decent Virginia Tech team but an above average one 2014 and they still went on to win the title.

But here's what I find to be ironic.

Like if I told you people would be expressing concern one month and about Clemson. How much would you have that we would be talking about the defense because that's not what people were talking about it. It's mostly the offense before centering an excellent point, and I do think that the narrative going into the ease then why will see what happens with defense because of the losses that they took note upfront in particular relating every starter on that defense of why we all believe that with all the players coming back on offense.

Your chapter cavity can take in the just.just to keep rolling along and in fact at the pelvis came out in a lot of ration, particularly last week. Jan just for two point conversion at the end. And so I think that is one thing that an interesting dynamic to why I think the other thing that is really think that a lack that last week were a young team. They are much younger team then they were a year ago.

They don't have a lot of that junior senior veteran leadership that showed up in big key moments. You know they defensive line is just so so young and and and inexperienced when it comes to showing that type of leadership favorite Trevor easily.

A sophomore and not really a local guy that a player like Hunter Renfro who you know was a security blanket on offense and now he's gone in and talk about a veteran, yearning, he was there for what you hundred years so you know it is a younger team, trying I think you find it leadership you know it's a voice if I can to teach right now and I don't really think that were unusual.

I just think in this case, because we had such high expectation for what the offense was going to look like. I think we forgot that this is still a team that is mostly led by sophomores on offense them at some of the key positions in transit. VPN is a little bit older but the fact remains that I think Apple brought up a good point that nobody wanted to look Andrea Abelson of ESPN. With this in sports of dryad.

I'm interested in what you make of Clemson dropping out of the top spot in the AP poll. I know if gay people didn't exist and we just put it out one month in the Tigers probably wont be one, two, or maybe even three, but I have difficulty believing I'm not a guy really buys SEC bias in many areas, but I feel like people will be revolting in the South Alabama won by a point say at Missouri or whoever, a lesser SEC team. I feel like they don't get knocked down and there's a little bit of disrespect that exist with the ACC what you will absolutely there is a complete different effect for the ATP and I think that's why then get penalized that I believe I wrote a story along the lines in the preseason.

I think the fact that Clemson going into that game last week with such a prohibitive favorite to get North Carolina to make the college football player. I ought have any team in the country to make it in there.

The fact that they were going to be a 20+ point favorite in every single game they had the fact that that great forest right now if you only ranked team remaining on the schedule.

I think that all plays a narrative that hunts and 50 everybody by 30 which is another point GABA made last week everybody expects us to just be robots and go out there and dismantle the competition. Oh by the way, all of the team are giving us the best effort of the season. It worked or not.

Another key everybody. So every opponent that they're facing had been scheming again planing for them since probably January or February because they know that that is game on the schedule that is circle and so when you combine that with a performance that isn't necessarily the cleanest performance of most perfect performance you're going to get a backlash, especially long national media who think that Clemson plays in the worst conference in the country and should never get a path, no matter who they're playing in any ACC because the level of competition doesn't rise is in some of the other conferences most professionally yet. I just find it interesting when Missouri makes it to the SEC championship game.

People applaud Missouri and rightfully so. Kentucky ranked the top 10 last year. Nobody say all the SEC look at that Kentucky and Missouri.

Other having great years they they clearly the conferences down but meanwhile when the ACC you get Wake Forest in Virginia in the top 25. You have people in SEC circles and Big Ten circles, pointing and laughing. Ha ha. How good could the ACC be if your second and third best teams are Wake Forest and Virginia.

Speaking of the digs. How much are you buying and considering their rent for the first time since 2008 and are off to a five no start for the first time since Jim Groves magical 2006 season. All I'm I'm definitely thought NI I love what he meant.

Don particularly on offense and could make an argument that midway point. Even Jamie Newman should be the first team quarterback on the Ali think he came out of A warrant because he played better than Trevor Lawrence.

To this point in the ranks in the top 10 nationally and in total offense there. The most efficient pathing team in the ACC that the best team on third down in the ACC and it's fun to watch them play out now defensively, if there still some issues that gotta work around it, including you, trying to limit the amount of explosive claims that they've given up and and you know Wake Forest is always been known and that solid defense or claim team not so much offense, at least in the first fingers underneath coffin that the fact that the offense is now blossoming and looking exactly the way that week that that A+ and envisioned it when he got to week or if I think weeks to not only a Clapton but also that you put together the way they've been able to develop players in their system. We all know that Wake Forest is a developmental program that's how they're going to be able to get guys to compete at a high level in the ACC, especially the Atlantic division and the way that guy Jamie Newman got a Washington-based rat have developed the offense of alignment. The way those guys have developed an output Wake Forest in a position where not only can they feel ranked team, but you have an opportunity to maybe win nine or 10 game this season because of the way that they play. The other thing they have going for them is they win."

And, and one close game it out because he knows are not to be like Clemson and glow everyone out every single game or just about everything okay that they begin the fourth quarter and then try and win close game, and that's something that they had done exceedingly well and that something they've done exceedingly well this season so I think you've done a great job. He's my midseason ACC coach of the year and I don't really think that for that program. I've got enough credit for the strident they've made to get to this point. Right now it's Andrea Abelson of ESPN spending time with this year in sports of dryad is a very important debate that's going on right now in the Carolina Panthers locker room appear where the marks reported that with the Joker movie coming out tonight. Brian Burns believes that Spider-Man would win a fight against that man, Gerald McCoy disagrees with that assessment by Brian Burns. Who do you think wins the flight out of Batman and Spider-Man all my gosh wow my kid that question they would have that that I wanted to say that man can Batman is amazing but at the same time couldn't Spider-Man just like wrap him up and all of his like you know spider exactly stuff and and just like put him up against the wall and so Spider-Man Spider-Man just wrap them up in and be done with it. And lastly the girls came up because it's October 3 about something from that movie we were thinking richly got inside this three year run mean girls came out 2004 notebook 2005 wedding pressures 2006 when you think Rachel McAdams what comes to mind first family wedding crasher. I now I know now you know I don't really think of correct birth so you know me as one of my all-time favorite movies so I am going to let what is today, I thought you would open the show is yeah I'm looking at the photo, 52% of people agree with you right now they're saying clearly wedding pressures there first and I think Spider-Man wins the fight, so you're somebody who, in addition to football you you're really a great arbiter on all things, movies and superheroes alike appreciate you spending a little bit time with us in trouble chat sometimes and Victor doing it's Andrea absolutely think you have me break it down if it's Andrea Abelson from ESPN, you can shoot a follow on Twitter and follow her coverage. She spent a lot of time in the ACC network.

The last few weeks. A Abelson ESPN is the Twitter handle for you to follow their great analysis – Spider-Man just given the web, you're assuming Spider-Man stupid right and smarter right but like that's to be smarter, but also say someone who is smart. I'm not assuming any of the tour done got we got to smart people here for you guys assume that one Spider-Man just goes the obstruction wrap up in the web it's over by Babineau have someone come out of his wrist thick and cut the superstrength helps to like Spider-Man's got some of that it's a radioactive spider that means armor will be able to absorb a lot about this literally. Batman is literally Tony Starks in DC because Tony Starks is a superhero either but you consider Iron Man a pretty powerful hero correct sure to bring environmentalists because that that's literally Batman that's Batman.

Batman is a regular human being was a bunch of toys means rich playboy.

That's Tony Stark the same thing that man would hold his own. Your Spider-Man I think I change my answer in the Rachel McAdams front door. I thought the girls but I think I'm going wedding crasher while I think I'm flipping on the wedding pressures here was a bit part for her that movie a lot wedding pressures. All she's in it all the time. She gives the toast in the. The speech for her sister at the wedding. What all she sees in the entire thing, Bradley Cooper, the first time we ever see him in a movie. Essentially, like he's kinda like the jerk boyfriend is talking about seals and stuff, saving them.

Meanwhile, I will most of John Ryan try to win her heart is at the Betty Wilde like the mom comes in almost players mom. Maybe see your Hooters is typed while that the best movie though.

Out of these three what I think so. Things over me were that were mean girls notebooks. Not a good movie. I'm sorry yeah yeah noble contrast but I'll save that for like the trash lightning rose a classic Tina Fey wrote it forms from tomato home and that's that's wildly great night in sports tonight by the way, we've mentioned it, but it's ECU Temple it's hurricanes Montréal. It's RAM Seahawks it's the MLB playoffs.

It's USA women's soccer in Charlotte at Bank of America Stadium. I think I'm going ECU Temple first, I think that's where if I could only watch one I'm gonna watch a mean out of a mean Pat McAfee that hassle back and Molly McGrath broadcasting from Greenville America because that's good to be an incredible environment. I think it's good to be a fun broadcast McAfee, from West Virginia Morgantown a great fit for Greenville America is a barbecue on the broadcast. I sent them some text with flex that they need to get some specific Sam Jones barbecue on the set like that's Stamey's and Sam Jones barbecue the two best barbecue joint in the state. Granted, I haven't spent much time in Lexington so will understanding that having barbecue seemingly everywhere else in the state.

Stamey's and Sam Jones barbecue in Greenville America. Two.

Best spot assumes it's in eastern North Carolina. They only serve Eastern style barbecue is a servicer bow. Oh, I know… I think tells you everything you need to know about what styles better use most often, like a tomato base like Alexis.

So what I grew up here so double blasphemous. I grew up in the middle Lexington and Eastern and the capital city Ansonia federal athletics influence will come down will do it show the close a lot and got her drunk driving with Josh grab WSI I sports director Brian McCormick, no that that we will be his final week anchoring board for W exile I 12 year run of him covering for much in this era area somebody who went you on in Burlington.

One of our favorite people to chat with every now and is on Twitter@Brian McCormick, Brian. It's good to have you on with the last couple of weeks.

What are they been line world wearing my mouth out with my family and 12 year like the Triad and is little whirlwind of support we go to work, you know, Josh. We go to work every day we try to do our best and then for people reach out you know every George are working job well done university coaches and players from present All reaching out with their well wishes. It's been overwhelming you all so overwhelmed all support.

I never really got that now I believe how many people you know that would be affecting people that showed on you to get their information from and showed me.

It's been outstanding. I just try to tell good stories everyday and seemed like people appreciated up.

I got all you have for life that were appreciated back you on days how many years have you lived in the Triad I got here in 2003. What teen years. I stopped in Florence, South Carolina, start my career for 11 monthly and then came on back dialogue with the area of log covering a hotbed of sport for so long is to be a sport you can miss covering most you know it it's funny you you teen driving Paul and the players that you get to know at the high school level.

Are you covered their game-winning shot JV and go on to be in the MBA NFL major-league baseball WNBA. I I love Friday nights is nothing like high school football dry. I will miss that. Probably the most that is the most fun anybody could ever have anything but basketball College basketball mistake. There's really not like Brian formative WSI I sports director with the zero in sports of Triad I want to get to some of the things going on this weekend. The Carolina Panthers hosting the Jacksonville Jaguars I'm looking at the injury report for Carolina Brian Burns, yet a hard cast on yesterday softer cast on today but did not practice altogether. Even though he was named the NFC's defensive rookie of the month, Dante Jackson did not practice with the groin injury that caused him to miss the Houston game on Sunday, no cam Newton. Of course Greg little out with the concussion Chris Mann hurts out with the concussion and also Eric Reed did not practice but Jordan Rodrick said that she expects Reed to play against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Trey Turner did not practice. He missed Sunday's game as well. Just how concerned are you about this game even though it is a home game for the pampered grave three weeks ago I ran how concerned they were.

It look like a lot but I think that kind of resurgence of hope you config either injured.

That's great. And they they are the same time, there's something about him around Carlisle. It seemed like everybody you know they need to step up whatever you don't have your leader in everybody… And come to the play a little bit extra depending on stars you depend on backups or third stringer and I think that this pampered team. I'm not a big guy.

Oh well your way to win but II think that you'll start speak for themselves without starter then we thought the peppers were doomed and all of a sudden it went back to back games. I hope will copy that they can do both those things on the road with a jarring new cam Newton you not being full strength and not playing they can rally around Carlisle and I think they can rally around anything that one thing to Ron Rivera go it worked on that they have that with guys were willing to step up in the Everett chance for them to step up at least a good team like Jack you're not playing around. Not playing a falcon docket was struggling right now you playing a proven leader blamed Jack to have a couple a couple stars, but not really start the work B- players in the prime form to oh I missed it injury. Gerald McCoy also did not practice today with the need concerned.

So it seems like almost everybody is practicing right now among the starters for the Panthers before new Hall of honor inductees for the Panthers. Wesley walls take the loan Steve Smith inject the loan or today already said alone.

So Jordan grows the other one. There do you have any personal memories covering the whole of honor inducted. I you first time I ever interviewed are you excited 23 years old didn't really know what I was doing getting into that sports broadcasting world and try again. I went what a ghostwriter that requested you no stupid question that the stupid question. Try to get in front of everybody, all the better you restart your career. It looks to be a good thing that might might that I could hear the no I'll give you that one. All write off the date. My first question, North Carolina at the professional sports draw what and I get to get rid of all the trash talk. What a jerk did not want tonight guys you'll ever meet, but the great big you will call you out in a heartbeat.

Not one thing that when you first start they all man I carefully do that in later life is being honest and having fun with everybody and the attire. The media conglomerate with no chocolate at me.

I thought Barrett walked on roof you know that would be a little bit of the new guy. Don't worry about that you no longer the new.12 year as a pro and one of the first people I got the job here thanked me and welcomed me and I appreciated that and also I was welcomed there about and here day are getting here. We do share with Darren once a week. You long guys need to come together. I think since form it doesn't belong guy and Darren 02 actually. Do you remember the stair and he came up with Sharon.

Would Darren do before Micah had a number he was like a handful of suggestions were trying to name the segment because you just what what what were you calling it Thursdays with Darren. It was terrible. I was dry and I thanks for your service to the community and all that you done with WSI but also for cleaning up Josh's mess.

I appreciate that your doctor make a lot of what I will formatively look forward to hearing what's next for you.

Follow Brian on Twitter@Brian formative I assume will follow your coverage, Panthers, Jaguars on Sunday. Look forward to maybe seeing you in Charlotte this week and thank you for the visit.

I appreciate that you try it right here that Richard got that's prime Formica on WSI. He is are you just saying that because with the long know me, but it's not is not really what is that you are not at this West Durham is Brian Formica there everywhere. I'm not even I found was still bad. Consider myself part of the group because I'm not even like a full on you on guy you share you share with Darren every week. I mean, that's a big deal know you they do they do but to see a bore.

My graduate degree is there, it it's different. It's different. Like when I went to Elon I was there year and 1/2 and I had one parking lot that I drove to for my shabby studio apartment in Burlington. I pulled in, walked to the same path to the same building every day and then just went back so I wasn't the full full lawn for your you want to experience it all taken.

Did you ever ask a question to a coach that got shot down her player and get terrified.

Ever Avenue I'm trying to think of a good example. I heard the backend of of Brian talking about is Steve Smith experience. Nothing like that. Nothing like that. Not what I remember. By then Lincoln Riley or Ruffin McNeil at East Carolina where one of the I think is the first time I ever asked a question and press conference.

I think I just said my name and what student outlet I worked for way back then when nobody was doing that as soon not them and didn't say you had to do that. I just got that's how it happened, really, nervously, and then he goes. He goes you talk fast I was. I was his answer to my first question is that I got shot down by going way before following full join the club. It happens there's been many times I've been shot down in media capacities and nonmedia combat deaths stares from coach K administered at that happened. I once asked Julius Hodge to sing karaoke with me at work just like a picture that he didn't care for that went to my don't mean this in a Bad Way, Josh because I'm also not cool enough to ask Julius Hodge to sing karaoke with me, but you're not cool enough to ask Julie decides to sing karaoke with there is a place that is cool enough to asked Julius Hodge to sing karaoke with them if there was a person.

I guess that's where this doesn't work, I guys pizza more inclement write up Louisville Clemmons Rd., Village Commons Yavapai guys pizza was a person Julius Hodge were totally single sing karaoke with a grand slam pizza. If that was a person data chicken bacon on top and hot stuff it. It's delicious to me. I need to get back there and have a grand slam.

I usually go once a month or so and weld hooked Darren up with some of it sometime soon to buy guys pizza and more online it hi guys.com here's what we call great segue up next. The story of how my old karaoke body just scored 70 $750,000 in court. This is for real. That's a perfect place to start.

Sharon on the drive may not be beautiful. We do sit around all day and talk sports.

Yes we feel great about this is dry Josh Gray was Sharon Darren Winfield and this headline absolutely blew me away. I was just coming from things and I saw on CNN that a North Carolina man, just one $750,000 in a lawsuit after suing his wife, lover, so come down to click on that as a lien and Darren, I see a guy in a suit and I think to myself oh God, I read a little bit grade America and turns out this guy is the person that just runs karaoke in Greenville on Thursday night, every single got a grip on the best friend I saw this guy. What we call the dog dog wondering how this Cavanagh you just mentioned, Devon Howard won a $750,000 judgment in court. Turns out North Carolina still has old homewrecker law.

Yeah, and the sky was recording the dog. Kevin had this guy in their house and didn't know anything was awry and he wound her away wound his wife away from him. He said anyone a $750,000 settlement. This is included in the story I was doing some texting to follow up on this. I don't see anything close to that because the Kaiser teacher so good luck with that. But this place is plastered on CNN. It's kind of an amazing thing. I don't know how I ever thought this guy since I left Greenville America. Congratulations and congrats thumbs up.

Okay, I remember what he was going through a divorce.

He would tell me what was happening with this woman and said yeah this guy just took from me and it was wrong to court. No, you may have that buddy who would just tell you these types of things with your to sing a man really pulling for you you're really just thinking in the back your mom okay what did you do is to go to court what you expect to happen all of this is just a revelation right now as I look to this headlight out he wasn't one of 750000 Dollars Ct. settlement that you said to do. The teacher got it broke up the happy home. Maybe you can work out a payment plan or something then going forward his life for life and maybe that might be what happened was worth it.

Yeah that's these bizarre laws. Is he still going to be doing karaoke on Thursday night. You might like the ball when I think about it I just remember after games. I would just hang out there and you would be singing karaoke himself with nobody else was there and it would be like I used to be a cowboy Toby Keith singing around all said please tell please tell me he's just rocking out some said stained and stuff like that is that there is something about our been a while, wow, that's okay. Was like the song is a repeat my house in college and limited impersonation of the lead singer. If you are singing karaoke Darren, what would be your go to song. This is a great question, Sharon II have ambitious goals with with karaoke because I have this pipe dream of choosing. I believe in a thing called love by the darkness which I've done before and just nailing it. That would be a very good song choice, but what it would.

So I think a lot of people would enjoy it in the sing-along that's that's a good karaoke song try. I've only done karaoke once my life. Aside from you singing the Wake Forest fight song just a few weeks ago. I think karaoke segment I felt. I think your judge. I think this counts as karaoke accounts. The only some of ever really done in front of people would live pupils at a house party is that from a decade ago and the song choice. I mean what we thing for you guys like that will drive people cameo candy you know that song is to help their no idea what that is.

We need karaoke sometime just to make it happen without tears.

Now that's the thing. Nobody actually cares about how bad or good of a singer, you are nobody does that what you tell yourself you go up there.

That's the fun of karaoke just go up there who gives a rip like it's kind of like being a guy who is it shredded to the gym like you're worried about what kind of weights you have. Nobody cares unless you're huge if you're huge yeah people were to focus what kind of weight you have. If you're scrawny like me.

No one's looking at 25's that your point nobody cares right karaoke cares how good or bad of a singer you are.

If it's bad there just in addressing this in the gym setting to use that analogy. No one should care sometimes they do and that's where people go wrong when you're small if you're huge they care like if you have massive arms and juror just just curling 15. I think people were to focus on that a little more right. I don't know I just I think your outing yourself here. Josh thinks he's paying attention what other people are doing in the gym shifting gears to Sports Illustrated. If you miss the headline today. It is a disaster what's going on right now with SI and let me just say that media ESPN used to be the destination inspiring broadcasters Sports Illustrated was the play sports writers wanted to end up at. But then we get the headline today and staffers right now they are going through a living hell today because apparently all their full-time staff they received an email from management last night instructing them to report to one of two meetings at noon today and it became clear to employees that one of those meetings. 50% of the staff to be laid off and the others were going to figure out that they still have their job, but then that meeting never happened because Deadspin was reporting earlier today that both the meetings were canceled just minutes before they were supposed to start and the reason why was because apparently the full transfer of ownership in Sports Illustrated to Meredith and authentic brand groups wasn't officially finished. It's not technically finished yet, so you may have seen these maven sites that are being run that's under this group that is purchased Sports Illustrated that still being finalized, the staffers, they have no idea what's happening right now. Apparently a there is somebody at Sports Illustrated who put out this statement just a short while ago and I'll read it to you just now. I haven't even read the school thing Sports Illustrated has been an iconic brand for 65 years defined by high quality storytelling with global recognition as the people who made this publication, but it is to call on ABG to save the future of the story title today Meredith executives were on the brink of announcing major layoffs that would effectively.Sports Illustrated.

The maven wants to replace top journalists in the industry with a network of maven freelancers and bloggers while reducing or eliminating departments that have ensured that the stories we produce and publish meet the highest standards with minutes notice. Transition meetings were canceled with our futures and families hanging in the balance. The way that today's events have been handled, suggest that the publication is an unstable hands. These plans were significantly would submit significantly undermine our journalistic integrity, damage the reputation of this long-standing brand and negatively affect the economic stability of the publication after the sale of Sports Illustrated to ABG CEO Jamie Salter cited Sports Illustrated's quote trusted name and fiercely devoted following." As key to the success of the brand of the ABG profile as the editorial backbone of this company. We strongly feel that this that all of this could be in jeopardy if this deal with the maven goes through. If all the concerns alone.

All these concerns along do not merit changing course, we also understand the maven startup capital loan could be recalled instantly. In the event of substantial loss of profit. In addition, we question whether the maven has been forthcoming with ABG about its ability to sustainably and effectively run the publication. We call on Meredith and ABG to drop the maven and save Sports Illustrated wow so that is something very significant to follow.

I don't know how the current model Sports Illustrated is going to be sustainable. Moving forward, ESPN the magazine announced earlier this year that they are finished and it comes to publishing actual print editions of the magazine and I imagine the next two or three years that's going to be the case with SI, but this is just a massive bummer with the ESPN layoffs. That was a result of maybe paying too much for properties and also maybe just a change of how we view SportsCenter and what we need your from highlight shows in such. This seems to be management and something a little bit more sinister weather trying to change Sports Illustrated into a scalloped or a 24 seven. Property essentially it's it's a much more gloomy sense of dysfunction with this one right.

At least with ESPN and layoffs that we've seen in the past there there.

There's an explanation right.

We can all defend the we at the time paid too much for all this talent because you fat and happy. It ESPN we can all understand the weather's not really a need for a for a TV show dedicated to highlights because we all have that whenever we want on demand and it's in our pockets at any given time. This is just weird because you see the headline that layoffs are planned and that's not as much a surprise anymore and that in and of itself is a bummer, but for it to happen and to things to transpire in this way it's deceptive and it implies that somebody is somebody at the core of it is not acting appropriately like we can all live it's socks look it's awful when you and I have colleagues that get laid off, but it's not fun, but there's a business side of it that we can understand yes but this one were not talking about was not talking about that right were not talking about the common sense of moving forward. The headline was okay that the layoff writers and heck, even if the headline was to put out print editions anymore. We'd all understand that.

But the idea that they thought it was a good idea. First off, to have two separate meetings and then it be like a dark Knight situation where you figure out a are the people and that it will be a thing or they going to press the thing blows up the bow. That's one not great business and not great management until calling off the meeting right before speaks to the instability and if it is for it not being fully complete yet you're still trying to shed half the staff yet know that the manner in which they tried to call these two meetings is cartoonish right you can envision it in some sort of situational comedy because obviously the employees at Sports Illustrated.

Smart people are going to figure out all one of these meetings is for people no longer going there that are no longer to be able to work are you going to you're going to a meeting till we have a new boss company just bought us. What's this about all okay let me just do the math real quick. Not a big fan of a lot of these things I'm hearing about all of the sudden it is a bummer, and I have a lot of friends at Sports Illustrated goes back to ESPN was once the destination for aspiring broadcasters.

SI was once that I think were sportswriters at this point ESPN they stifle personalities. The last decade or so because of the importance of properties and the relationships they have with leaks Jamal Hill, Bill Simmons, Keith Olbermann, that damn laboratory to a degree dates back to DP where he said many times they were looking for another permit so they stifle personality SI's model. I don't know if it's sustainable.

Moving forward, but brand that is iconic is that what doesn't deserve to have the mismanagement that were seeing right here you're listening. WS yes Winston-Salem W COD Greensboro W MFR Highpoint and I was forget one WPC in Burlington. Meredith signals making up sports on triad may not be beautiful.

We do sit around all day and talk sports. Yes we feel great about this is dry Josh Gray news with Sharon Karen Wingfield, and this headline absolutely blew me away.

I was just combing through things and I saw on CNN that a North Carolina man, just one $750,000 in a lawsuit after suing his wife, lover, so I'm down to click on that as a onion and heroin.

I see a guy in a suit and I think to myself oh God, I read a little bit grade America and turns out this guy is the person that just runs karaoke in Greenville on Thursday night got a grip on the best friend I saw this guy.
