This is dry when Josh Graham drive. This support is many of you, I preferred Isaiah Simmons to Derek Brown.

However, I acknowledge my Bob bias bias because I watch Simmons up close. I thought the Dabo Sweeney about him and selfishly, I thought he'd have a more fun career to follow which would lead to more interesting content on shows such as this one. I can't not the pick for Carolina though. I think the margin between Simmons and Brown is very small. Here's what I believe the two differentiating factors, rule Sapper and her knee considered that led to the Auburn defensive lineman coming off the board first.

The Panthers chose position value and need over best player available interior defensive line. It's a more glaring hole. Then safety or outside linebacker wherever you think Simmons is going to play and there's been conflict on what the best case scenario for Simmons is in the week is Thomas Davis, or is it Taira Matthew, regardless filling the holes. The Panthers had on the deal. I'm losing Vernon Butler and Don Terry Paul and Mario Addison and Gerald McCoy.

It was just so glaring that you couldn't leave things after day one where Woodrow Hamilton is still slated to be your starting defensive lineman across from KK sure in a 43 defense, by the way, Woodrow Hamilton still a football player and not a former president. I like Simmons more than Brown but I acknowledge not just my bias, but the fact that Simmons is a bigger risk than Brown. I like to more than borough.

I talked about this quite a bit, but there's no question that borough is a safer pick then to ultimately turned out to be the only player I think Carolina would have preferred to Brown that reasonably could have fallen to seven was Jeff Okuda because they have such a glaring need at corner as well.

Interior defensive line.

It is a more glaring hole, then safety and linebacker. It is a more valuable and important position then those other spots. It just is.

In today's and about. You need a good defensive line.

You need a good defensive front in order to have any level of success. Look at the last three NFC champions Robert this past year San Francisco what's the biggest what's the biggest strength of the 49ers. Probably there running attack there running attack or the defense of LimeWire to appeasing me here.

Okay there defensive line. Thank you and also Woodrow Hamilton was president he was president of his high school first class. Thank you for that as well. It's not true, but you're welcome. Maybe I should've asked a different question who's the best 49er who's the most talented 49er I would probably say Jimmy, I'm just getting up ribose and its posts think you got a make think so damn difficult all the time so San Francisco it's there front that was the difference.

It was not just Posa it was Buckner in the middle of that defensive line that they then traded the Indianapolis Colts great pick San Francisco taking Javon Kinlaw from South Carolina yesterday to fill that hole as well. I love what San Fran you have farmstead there as well.

They really had success because of that front. The year before that.

I'm scared to go to Robert here. I really am. Who's the most talented Los Angeles RAM who I think that's easy.

That's where Donald right right clogging up the defensive front the year before that it was the Philadelphia Eagles. Who's the best cop we've seen all over the place for Brown, Fletcher Cox the middle of that defensive line for the Philadelphia Eagles so it today's leak you need to have a great from the Panthers Super Bowl teams 2003. You had peppers you had Jenkins you clock things up Mike Rucker, 2015 KK sure emerging Tony Ely.

He was having a lot of success.

I was a really good defensive front for Carolina but I just need to remind people just because it was the pick. Mel Kuyper had mock all along until funny enough the day of the draft. It was the most expected pick doesn't mean it's not an exciting pick.

It's the beginning of a rebuilt, there's no magic player that can replace key glee. Bradberry you gets over 16 million from the Giants and the whole defensive line, however, that was the way Simmons was being sold. If we pick up Simmons linebacker were to get safety over good habit address your days going to do everything all our problems are going to be fixed. Super Bowl tickets for next year right now getting a little ridiculous there but I think this is a reminder this is just the start of the rebuilt it's going to be a long road bought one of the big winners. Everybody agrees on last night was Miami.

Look where they were at this time last year.

Miami had a new head coach. They were seem to be downtrodden trending downward to get prime floors just taking over their and they picked up unsexy pack. Chris Tim Wilkins defense of line around the same point Carolina was picking in this year's draft, and a year later they position themselves with some optimism towards the end of the season with guys playing hard in the culture be an established where they can get their quarterback, and now people are very excited about what the next decade of Miami Dolphins football might look like. So, view this as the beginning, not as something that's going to immediately produce results on the field for Carolina. Robert Walsh is the producer of the show Aaron Gabriel's in the control room, Jordan Rodrigue, Panthers beat writer for the athletic going to join us in a little over 20 minutes. You can chime in at 336-777-1600. What'd you think of the pick. Derek Brown versus ice Isaiah Simmons 777-1600 if you wanted on twitter at sports have tried if you missed how the Panthers announced the pick on social media last night. The social media across all sports. It seemed to be one of the best social media accounts out there there social. It's undefeated as far as I'm concerned, whilst at this is how they announce Derek Brown as the newest Carolina Panthers. He Derek Brown hearing James Taylor himself, said James Brown because he is talking about Derek Brown sounded a lot better things of been like Brown Aaron to write you a better with that. Why are you assuming Aaron can do it better because he's in a funk band this racist and I love days bro you want to give it a shot. What it might sound like James Brown linearly keep doing what you're doing. I'll try to work on this massage will come back to one second I got it instrumental I'm just fascinated to see some of the alternatives. There is no vote. He revealed on social media that there were some pronunciations he had to throw in for James Taylor and I don't think he had difficulty with Derek Brown so I'm just interested what other alternatives there might've been some of the inner workings here but let's hear what would I what it might've sound like sounded like if James Brown was the choice instead for the Panthers picking Derek Brown and what if it wasn't Derek Brown like what would've James Taylor's song sound like if it was, let's say two instead of Derek Brown to hello is going Carolina.

I bet you didn't think that.

But anyway he had to hello is a hero in yeah he's coming to Carolina to use the really good Robert oh yeah, my apologies. How about if it was Isaiah Simmons. Isaiah go one day here at Tiger the next day you're a fan I say Caroline will manage his Taylor system so to tell. Have you have you entered just emptied out the reservoir completely or is there anything else you have for us.

I got one more. Josh is going, they could have drafted a draft care as long as they did in table 1 of those guys but Josh is going to give it in my if I had a mild right it would look like you had a mullet.

Although Sarah would have to beat them off with a stick. It would be like party in the front and also kind of a party in the back, but not really Josh exotic isn't happening now because the Panthers took Derek Brown don't sound sad about it. We could still do it. You will get a mullet absolute why I actually love the Jordan love pick by Green Bay you see what I did there awesome. This is the dry talk sports you would like what you got this dry Josh Greyhound ratings in night one of the NFL draft looking at broadcast, cable and digital viewing numbers 15.6 million people watched from one of the draft which is 37% more than watched from one of the draft last year. Not very surprising considering how little is going on but there's a large appetite for the draft for the draft regardless of what team you root for.

But since we cover the Panthers very closely.

I wanted to get more in depth analysis of what just happened with Derek Brown be in the pick at number seven and to do that. A good friend, Jordan Rodrigue, now joining us from the athletic Carolina. Let's start on the television side of things because we generally talk about food and we talk about beer and culture in such weights, coaches, home would Jordan Rodrigue most want to spend time and after seeing Arians on his patio Bella check. It is basement Zimmer had all those buffalo heads or whatever it was, and Cliff Kingsbury seem to buy Scarface's house.

Which one do you pick that right back Camelback Mountain at no blanket and I get something) in my price range there that have met the evidence going to have. I'm sure he probably has room house you is necessary to Carolina Panthers the when I'm looking at this pick would Brown. I think he might be because of your certainty with his position a little bit less of a risk than Isaiah Simmons slightly. I love Simmons a lot, but it seemed he's probably Brown a little bit less of a risk and I think when you look at position value and you look at need at that spot on the defensive line. I think those things probably factored in to Carolina making this decision. What do you believe to be the primary differentiating factor between Brown and seven why they really fell in love with Browning personality a little quieter yesterday. I mean everything.

Everything that overwhelming that something about everything really really humble and healthy. Sheridan and that is not that great person as well, but there's really wet personality of Derek Brown and all fell you know a perspective he went higher on their board. The guy you not only make that I alongside him on the line better to make every single person behind hand better and you have that you can occupy great great. I don't want to draft draft For those reasons in the first round and that I can also have an actor at the learning in a variety of different places and I packed a couple time last year and brush their interior pressure and kinda grew in a back pocket that the Comanche from the edge workers. You may not very) lame may the last thing they can do it, combined with the fact that I cackle like that ability in that way. He makes the life of a linebacker. Even here, the same cannot be said for the apathetic. I think that matter, efficiency, and end with the best care available round to begin later on tonight at 7 o'clock. Rodrigue reported with the athletic with this year. How surprised would you be if the Panthers don't go cornering round to try that would be stupid so I needed you can pass rusher banking carrier alignment in the world by anyone on your billing number one corner position pretty much made like matter how good your quarterback get the Bala Becker third character matter how good your what's out if it. I think they really decried the target corner and I think then maybe they could go receiver cornerback. I might be shocked if it were in a corner you think separates you tall Warner J when Johnson from maybe Christian Bolton from LSU DDU in some people's minds, but then again, seem to be like 1/2 dozen of those now and Stefon digs his brother trave on Dix is available from them when you know totally better and I am back from my dad. Now I really getting me cornered. You know I think they all have their merit at the really good technical development and make you a little bit of structure in terms of how they play something that felt at the NFL level. Now I think that they different little bit of a different media risk factor could you not guarantee that injury history and I think that all three of it really done I think how their carbonate technically you don't need number one corner can get out there on the field and maybe okay court receiver. If you have to go get every week now like going elite receiver in the National Football League at six times a year and 84, depending on the schedule so you really breakdown of the current really petty and really quite great. I think that being in the film room and meeting where the thing a little bit more due diligence on fire right now. Even Rappaport said earlier today that the Panthers are fielding a bunch of calls on Curtis Samuel and you made it pretty clear in your twitter page that they're not shopping him. However, they are getting a lot of calls and it seems with how often Joe Brady likes to go empty like he was what you did at LSU last year and with the saints before that they really do have a strong value for Curtis how much stock do you think Carolina has there in number 10 oh I think I think that they would like it would be like that. Dad can I buy or how many say you can only buy my house if you exchange for me in the country of Australia like looking at Mary's house that that's really what we were dealing with, like it's not a huge different. I afraid that the way that I get it. There is a map of different and shopping a guy and simply understanding that your phone is going to be ringing a lot angles.

The Bengals phone. I'm sure quite a bit for Jonesboro, but I doubt they were to move off right exactly.

I mean, really, really love him and so he had a crappy situation last couple years and help that they wanted what he can do anything he can get great things for now I don't think the pickup receiver later down the road, but I really think they feel many people in that building feel that he often follow her on Twitter at Jordan Rodrigue read her stuff in the athletic Carolina Joe person yesterday you today.

You guys are doing an excellent job keeping us filled and I love your stuff for a long time and I'm sure will catch up somewhere down the line. Thanks for doing the sort think that's pretty think you meant I got it. That's Jordan Rodrigue. Robert do you want to hear a fascinating stat that might back up how much the Panthers like Curtis Samuel sure Josh Parcell does radio in Charlotte just sent this out over the last two seasons Tyree kill has scored a touchdown every 8.3 touches every 8.3 touches for Tyree kill.

He scored a touchdown. Curtis Samuel has scored a touchdown every 8.6 touches how many total touches Visio. Not quite as much. Clearly, yet the lot lower sample size lot. The explosiveness is there and if he's playing with somebody who's an upgrade from Kyle Allen. Maybe you'll see a lot more of that explosiveness and we also love the way Joe Brady. He was able to get the most out of everybody on the LSU offense the way they moved around Clyde Edwards Allaire to be great with Kansas City that last pic that the way they use Jefferson Jamar Chase they just moved guys all over the place Thaddeus Moss that I think Samuel might be able to get lost along with DJ more and Robbie Anderson. I've secure a lot of unique mismatches. Carolina can find all those wide receivers remain intact. Next, hence at just how the Panthers how much the Carolina Panthers trust what they have in Derek Brown there's some evidence of this year and there's also some signs about who was alive in this. Just how long Carolina was will get to all that next morning Phaedra Drive minds of the heart. Josh grabbed a sports hub try disclosure what you would be ascribed to be guy doesn't mean anti-Porro guy, but I'm very high on the Alabama quarterback and I think is the best prospect. We seem to come out in the last few years Miami through all the smokescreen they take him at number five. I think the Dolphins they are becoming slowly but surely the New England Patriots now that doesn't mean to go to when six Super Bowl start there, but the way their building things looks very similar to what a guy did around 2000 in Foxboro.

First there's the obvious New England guys lot of New England defectors in Miami. GM Greer, the coach Florez Kyle Vannoy be signed this off-season. There are plenty more that I'm forgetting the name, those are just the big three at this moment they took a chance on a quarterback now I feel like I have to stop and chapters so people don't yell at me in their car or lose their voice. Errands, my barometer on this because his ears perked and he saying that just was expression that I need to be careful here to what is a risk not as big of a risk as maybe drafting Justin Herbert in my mind were no starting. The players drafted 199 but nonetheless still a risk. Also, I think we all kinda knew in our hearts, but the Dolphins found a way to check out to.

If you're going make this type of investment into then you will send the doctor one way or the other to check them out in Nashville.

You will figure that out you will get in your car.

I think it's a good eight or 9 Hour Dr. from Miami to get the Nashville you will do whatever it takes to get somebody there, even if it means the guy who goes there burns every single ounce of clothing he has. After seeing to up for protective purposes or wears a dam hatchback suit you will send somebody there to check them out and it seems Miami to get to a check… Hip clear. They took a chance of the QB. Now they can build understanding. They have a guy they feel could be their franchise quarterback. So how are they building their stocking up in the secondary. This is such a New England staple usually teams they built through the front seven on defense knowing what they had great guys in the front seven but they're not players that they taken the first round generally know these are guys later out okay.

We like this. This players personality. We like this guy style he could fit into our system to system defense. Bella check is a defense of Maestro.

He will work it out when it comes to corner. They always have a guy safety to go about it. When's the last time you remember Bill Belichick and the patriots with out a stud corner and a legitimate safety to go along with over the years high law lawyer Malloy Robbie Harrison Asante Samuel McCourty Malcolm Butler Stephane Gilmore now Jonathan Jones. These are players that you can rely on in the secondary Miami. They are following suit. Florez Bayside Eric Rowe in the off-season from New England. They signed Byron Jones their investing in the secondary and while they already picked up those two quarterbacks and have Xavier and Howard on the roster what they do, they draft with their third number one pick Noah Dena June it be a gene.Robert, can we just edit that part out a post real quick great yes or no eggbeater gene nailed it.

It's crazy that the Dolphins drafted somebody somehow whose name is more difficult than to talk of a low I don't know how but they figure that out. Actually Rick Ross had a little trouble pronouncing it today. Would you like to hear Rick Ross, I would like to hear that. I would like to hear Rick Ross mispronouncing whose name is two or we talked about no energy, all right just play the ball over the direction you disagree, you'll can you find Dell announcing the pic I want it side-by-side, told Aaron if I showed you made me do all kinda producing work knows I don't tell Josh about this until later I don't have to do all this stuff and then you're like, hey can you give everybody the same.

I just want to know who did it worse last night Rick Ross, or is it Roger Delp because Caddell had to have known for years, plural that he was going to say this quarterbacks name three years.

He knew he had to say this QB's name. Robert is so salty right now. I ask knew it was going to happen like I hate it so hard to do this during the show where I can actually record something and produce it.

So sorry you make and you produce will have fun going to break. I'm so sorry masking into new production work as the producer of the show amazing thing that I ask you to do here. I'm telling you we will sit right here if you could give it up man we want. We will not go to break.

That's all I do like Brian Florez though.

The way that he has built this roster. I think I'm more optimistic about him considering how they finished last year just upending the playoff picture beating New England at the end of the year with a stripped roster that was tanking. He seems to have instilled a culture there and the team is having success, and now they actually have players and they have Space and they have to sell.

I think it's something being built there, and it's designed to look a lot like New England.

Other coaches it tried to do that McDaniels did so, and failed that Patricia of course Charlie Weiss Romeo Cornell but this is the one that feels the most legitimate and I don't know if it's because the patriots don't have Brady anymore and they seem to be trending downward but the Dolphins II think they're doing it the right way. Okay, let's hear Roger good Dell announcing the Dolphins pick last night and will put it side-by-side afterwards with Rick Ross's pronunciation of the Alabama quarterback for the NFL draft of my close definitely better than what the boss said I could hear that all day like I'm in a put something else on your plate.

I want every segment to close with just Rick Ross saying to however you just pronounce this note, every segment can't in this from Rick Ross will man has been really excited for ravioli. For some reason to be some ravioli from the boss off water of what I'd like to go to break so I can record this if that's what she wanted to know we still gotta get going. But what you're so mad right now. I just want to I like to get things done when I have things to do.

I have anxiety about that you anything about anxiety.

I don't. It's killing me over here. I want to get this done so. It is funny. B.he sent me a message yesterday where he was losing his mind because I've been selling him on CD lamb all year long and he never thought that the cowboys be able to pick him they did and Robert.

He was with me watching the draft.

I think you can probably describe it as relief when the Panthers took Derek Brown. I just got a collapsed in my on my couch with the Panthers drafting Brown so I don't have to look at Josh exotic and Robert. He left before the ravens picked but with before I could shoot them attacks about the Patrick Queen pick for his ravens. II just get to see exactly what Robert texted you. Let's not play that all okay you're talking about the times, not out of chat. I don't know. He just text me so pretty accurate.

My neighbors asked me what happened last night and I got married, arrived like friend and I was having a kid or something is acknowledges drafted Patrick Queen you did I hate you so much. I'm glad it's Friday. I'm glad I get two days without having to see this.

How much time are you going to devote to watching the draft tonight and Saturday. The full extent Saturday am I just be on Twitter the entire time.

But tonight it's got my undivided attention also to watch the new day but I'll find time for that sometime the way I'm in a wait till all the episodes are finished. Now with day before I start watching the home. I got him to spoil it for you just like Wolf was spoiling pickle in my life I wanted to fight him okay okay I wanted I wanted to get in a fist fight somewhere in Josh's apartment and he has a roommate name Wolf is a nice enough guy, Dick Wolf and he is on a stream that is ahead of us and he sit in the corner he saw with his friends in these like the Jets pick judges like discharges like short Wolf Dolby spoiling the pics and I don't know if he was joking or not. With this one, but it came to fruition.

He was like look at me every time as I was laughing every time to pick and it was like the 49ers trade just like trade you're going your room all you came back with us.

Although I was bothered like if you're if you're group people were to take it out watching the draft. Maybe you shouldn't be on a video chat like with somebody else.

A girl just sitting here in them will hear you say something we think you're talking to us. We are actually talking to somebody that a hold of your tipping pics like coming, is all I got the Jets pick right just like to know so I just hated like it's a TV show. I hate when people took the pics but you can't wait, what, how is your life to be different because two minutes later you find out what you doing in this in this pandemic John Wallace is so mad right now like a starling.

This is a quarantine like what are you doing Mike what are you doing we have that sports are forever like I get. If there's other things happening.

Hey I keep an eye on this and you know I'm just following it on my phone.

You made a night out of it were paying attention. It's the draft and like you just can ruin the TV show. I felt the way somebody would. If you like have DVR versus regular TV. I just watching it on cable like I felt like I was behind two minute we were a lot brutal. Still fun night great night in honor of Derek Brown. I'm listing off my top 10 Brown next your microphone slightly said patriots feel this is the drive. I love this fact were first round pick for Tampa Bay.

He was born in January 1990 and 99 that the year before Tom Brady was drafted in the six round by the patriots elsewhere in the NFC South. The Panthers selecting Derek Brown out of Auburn seventh overall to talk about it with us is the voice of the Carolina Panthers. Our good friend Mick Dixon is back with us in the last I don't know. 21 hours or so.

Mick what's your favorite thing that you've read about this kid by what you think I'm going to say what a great day great unity out how you came from a discipline structured all that but I'm I'm greedy I'm grabby. I want to be good and so my favorite thing about him is that he can play. I love the pic I know know that Simmons is fast twitching me at letter E can show and will play great against this probably but I like this like this. We knew that you got a minute we needed some we needed tractor-trailer rig. We needed a bagel kit steer a tractor loader inside to help occupy blockers and help get to opposing quarterbacks. I think the thing that stood out to me just trying to get past all the stuff that we already knew and the draft process leading to last night. Joe person wrote this for the athletic it was how Matt rule spent yesterday morning.

He said that he kind of knew exactly what he wanted. The first time he chatted with with brown. It stood out when they spoke at the Senior bowl and then again at the combine, but yesterday morning coach rule said that he started watching the last game. Brown plated and Auburn uniform which was the Outback bowl against the University of Minnesota and what stood out to him was this is a kid who could have been a top 10 pick last year, decided to go back to Auburn to get a degree and also was good to be a top 10 pick this year, and unlike many decides to play in his bowl game and not one of the big ones play in the Outback bowl against Minnesota and when he was asked why he decided the plan that can be set.

My teammates go to be a captain, so we felt it was the right thing to do. That's the kind of makeup that I think is important, obviously need the football stuff to make it make sense in the long run, but at this stage, don't you think it's important. More important, the personality traits you're bringing in as Matt rule tries to build something and he didn't go out for the coin toss and work up equipment Out plan art right over very in that bowl game.

Remember Kate Gelman saying that one of his favorite bit of tape to watch noted gym rat Dave Gettleman for work at the gym now the giant. He would find it tape where the team with the player he was interested in was way behind out of it. No chance. And look at the last couple possessions late fourth-quarter you're down 37 to 10 now what are you you kidnap your stance like you. You mean something.

Are you are you just catching blockers were just doing the minimum or you fighting and so players that have the fight and on like that when you combine that with their intelligence with their athletic ability, strength. I think it's you can get behind. Did you enjoy watching the virtual draft last night really got into it and I was late because I really haven't been with for example just up try to go in the office couple time to get one knuckle rep. Got email from security MICU connect committee met rule out the work it out.

You know we love you, but just stay away.

Okay, so I had really no sourcing and I didn't get it deep into milk) and the real Todd McSherry milk hyper days all that a look at some some of of what what was out there I got Pro football talk.com start every day to keep up like we all do but I enjoyed the draft I caught ABC's open and I saw the Peyton Manning piece.

Then I switched over to ESPN because I felt like maybe there their analysis would be a little bit deeper and I wasn't disappointed. Rodriguez bill with the fan sort of the guy was a little flaky for my taste of you.

Come on guys to be more but you get it you know he's trying to be trying to be warm and glib in his basement.

I think to sign it with three eyes. The three eyes of last night that I think made it an A+ broadcast in my mind it was intimate. It was illuminating and it was overall interesting because it was just different than anything else. We had but the intimate front I think is what sets it apart. What home either by a general manager, coach, or a player captivated you most which one sticks out which one yeah which home that we got a chance to look into. Usually it's a war room. We get to see John Lynch and his kids running by on the window. Some people were pointing out there's a reflection where you could kinda see his big board and you see Zimmer in Minnesota. He has all these buffalo and deer heads on the wall.

Cliff Kingsbury looked like he was in Scarface is compound like you got a chance to really see where these coaches are usually just the prospects when they don't decide to go to the draft.

Now this topic, see the coaches we got to see the GM's.

I thought that really added something Brian Flores with the Miami Dolphins, Miami Miami thought they were going to go to a 14 or one of 15 and after the first overall pick and they tried to climb up to number one. Try to do a deal to up thing you can see, but they tried to do a deal to get Borough in Cincinnati would what all but Flores is a good coach and I like I like him. He looked like he would, not really very comfortable being there at home, but buddy, had to do it, everyone. I think it looks more imposing to you right now in the NFC South Tampa or New Orleans where you got a finger over the Bay will be the easy fix it. Her 10 years to blame on and take it deep and now with Veronica Brady. I think until reason and the Saints are unseated until the Panthers a particular proof that that's not there. Their kryptonite to say the same. February right there with you.

I think New Orleans there were some fanfare this week when they announced to shut down all their off-season activity not have an off-season program and peoples all know this might be the Saints. They might be set back here and then I thought how they have their office of defensive coordinator back. They have their head coach back. They have drew breeze they have most of the parts they are known commodities Tampa will see what drunk is after your will see what somebody looks like outside of Foxboro. We don't quite know what all those parts are going to look like when they're together and I also think when you're talking about a new scheme in your talk about new players. I think OTA's matter. That's why you have them, especially if you're talking about new staffs and new teams trying to gel. So I think it's good to take some time for this Tampa thing to work out like Sean Payton but I look but I looks okay. I respect him, he smart and it were not for the missed call in the Rams game of the NFC caricature gave two years ago, we might be talking about multiple ratings for Sean Payton and drew breeze in the New Orleans Saints. I think he gives that team a tactical schematic advantage in every game and he's very good at the endgame of the chess game of coaching in the NFL use of timeouts. Clock management is pretty good. Toward the end of the game so I'll be so delighted and tickled and happy when Drew finally retires it's the voice of the Carolina Panthers big mixing with the zero in sports of giant.

Have you had a chance to watch the first two episodes of the last dance, the Michael Jordan documentary series outcome you would ask me about that. I currently have it watch the little red some about it.

I wanted to sit down with it when when I have time and I got no excuse, just jot I should erect it up and sitting it. From what I've heard people who know Michael Jordan career will tell me that a lot of the first two episodes this stuff that's already pretty much already know, if you follow this career what you think yeah that is the more interesting stuff is 97, 98 footage we have gotten a lot of that yet because it's been setting up his North Carolina days and is. Early on, but I only ask you if you seen it because you're somebody who was just right in the middle of Tar Heel culture host Michael for about 15 years or so. So I wonder just be an embedded in those circles with Woody Durham got the know on and and many others as well.

Do you have a favorite. Michael's story that you've either been told her that you experience first-hand first-hand going through a practice at Smith Center to get some interviews after the game or after the practice rather for the upcoming game and Michael Jordan shows up at practice.

He walked out onto the court right toward the in text finishes start lacing up. Finishes and looks at Jerry Stackhouse Rasheed Wallace Jeff McGinnis that team and said all right who want some of this and he wanted Jordan wanted Richie Wallace received was scared but Jerry Stackhouse, who would be on anybody all dark alley. You could century stack out with a bowie knife and $100 bill at a map you could have Afghanistan or wherever he could get there make it the whole thing figured out you talk and so Stackhouse. I do. So Jordan Stackhouse go 101 and received Wallace the whole time is just like a little girl giggling doing the play-by-play doing the commentary at one point stack outreaches in Jordan and started his grill top of the key stack out reach your you reach I teach and then drive spiral for dog and then later Stackhouse don't don't Jordan the plate 20 people in there, but everyone crazy and then Jordan looked precedents that your next and received no man, no man in my shoes off and he shot away. It's tremendous when you do get on the want to, you're gonna love it. Big mixing it's is good to hear your voice. Man I hope sometime this can clear up I can go up to Charlotte pay you a visit hopefully will have football stadiums with fans in it, and whatever but obviously were not in that time right now and there's a lot of uncertainty around us, but sports is a place you go to kind of escape from that. At times, and I appreciate the conversation to show a lot when I'm up and down the road and keep up the good work you think so much Mick is the voice of the Carolina Panthers mixing here with us what you guys jab and on about in their over the control room. You guys laughing it up.

It's funny it's it's a shell within a show.

I think what were doing on the air is pretty interesting and rating suggest that as well. But during the show.

I'm just looking at you guys and you clearly are paying attention to what's being said at all. Think I just heard may complement you will very end of that film, tell me about his North Carolina story. He was the stories that I Jordan play play against me like my shoes are off. Violence is like when the teacher is like, what did Michael Michael Jordan your next do I teach what it Michael Jordan do. Who did he teach cows. He taught them probably just grab were less than after you pick up reading your text is a call about something. If you if you want to sing rhinestone cowboy with us in 10 minutes.

It's right so cowboy Friday, three 677-1600 probably make your day and will certainly make Robert. It will deftly make my day because I'm tired of just me and Aronson unit 777-1600 in the phone number we can put somebody on hold I can say this pretty flatly and confidently and it is a disclaimer I hated when people compare their ordinary lives to professional sports.

I hate it when they say all man if it was me, I would've taken less money to go there really you would've taken 40 million last to go away for your hometown team versus the Yankees.

I don't think you would also the white man, if somebody. I remember it was the Tennessee coach used to be at Alabama Jeremy Pruitt grab someone by the facemask on the sideline and people said man in my office if my balls put their hands on me like that I would revolt.

Oh yeah I would say that your situation in accounting is a lot different than playing bleeping football. I would say all this is different. The fact that you said that you would revolt makes me feel like you would just go and talk to HR probably I think is interesting on this premise. Disclaimer on the front end. But there are situations where I do think it applies and Aaron Rodgers what he's going through right now. I think it is fair to compare that to ordinary life. If you're working somewhere and you've done a lot for wherever you're at and you figure out that they just hired a replacement and they want you to prepare him to take your job. How do you think you would take that.

I know we all say all the right thing to do is to be a good teammate. Although it was bad for Brett Favre between Aaron Rodgers.

The way that he did in Rogers man, you got you got to bring this kid and you need you need to groom him it's what good teammates do. Would you be if you were in those shoes, whatever that equivalent is your job. Would you be as giving as willing because I think just like Rogers would root and likely is still upset about this, you probably would be to you probably would be complaining in your office complains about their office setting. Sports and triad of things we complain about not mediating complains about things except parent nights just Josh Ginny, none of us complained.

We love it here, having a grand time people come playing at the job you always look at sideways to see if someone has a better deal than you have it or somebody's coming for your job or how things are going to affect you. So I think in Rogers case it might be fair in a rare instance to look at that through a very human prism, one that you could simply put yourself into a similar spot and see how you would and however that is maybe that's the fair perspective to have the fair opinion to have on how Rogers should be conducting himself Robert what you got tickets to the house while one zoo is letting the monkeys run the asylum another's zoo is throwing animals in jail captivated that's next on the drop to me Alabama Josh Graham loves to talk sports. He also loves writing sports for which we can think of a live from your drive with Josh. We've been doing study groups for this show and one thing we Getting back. Robert is not enough saying you got it today. Yeah if you miss Robert running James Taylor's auditions or outtakes for pampered graphics not name Derek Brown.

You can find out on the Vesta podcast. I too thank God podcast like Gordon Rodrigue Mixon with this as well.

We expect to be joined by the head coach of the Panthers that rule early next week. But it's Friday so let's just throw things out and get a little sooner and their underlying cowboy Friday will look the lyrics I hope will go for now, but I did it matter that I don't know the lyrics.

I've never looked these things literally offers voices going over the phone will have enough time over here and Josh is cloudy now you hate it when people mess up the lyrics to the song. I admitted that tales about beta segment writings don't cowboy Friday but I did it one time every Friday and I love right so cowboy. Also, I wish you would get in this polar bear jail that is specifically told there is a former aircraft unit serves as a detention center for polar bears that cause a nuisance in Canada. Talk about some got your trash.

It was a whole tale we going to call in the polar bear jail to generate players at one time I've ever heard in my life 13th amendment not working for these tires bear arms may not be able to contain a mass with them if they paid me in free healthcare. I could do it three polar bears stand a couple of times today have I will.

I shan't do it again.

Also, another's zoo is sending around specialty teams and clans. The entire pork by specialty team.

I meet a monkey in a mask with a gas take on his back is his name is actually bingo which is surprising enough, and he his job is to write the park down well.

He has been asked to stop spraying the park as anything at all is going to get people to look in the Civil War and now people are just really worried about this monkey safety and I didn't know if you guys had ever done something in public.

That would risk your safety.

I so is almost over real quick. We talked about standing on bars earlier in the week that would qualify as jeopardizing your safety I say what you go down on the road.

I grew up on no lights in the door there Panthers.

Please take a corner tonight begging you in the second round.

Talk to you Monday for another edition of the
