We are now be enjoying by 2017 national champion of the North Carolina Tar Heels Luke may one of the greatest of the last 10 years of Tar Heel basketball before we get the hoops Luke, I just want to ask you this. Have you had a chance to see Coach Williams quarantine beard with her daughter W but I was able to see Coach and about beard and a really big and I in the grow it out all of their but I'm sure you don't talk by the really grown about 40. As I understand it, there are a lot of Kentucky basketball fans listening right now so I got to know what memory sticks out to you from that only a game in Memphis that day. What sticks out the ball go through the .3 need to be a great I knock it down the middle of the crazy term of their down thick with about two minutes to half minutes left to being up with not a minute and 1/2 left to that well you know me I wouldn't admit anything championship so well quite a big number that that was when asked kinship.

But it was deathly big Kentucky yesterday had beaten a year and pride in my opinion one of the greatest cause Beth again played.

Oh yeah just tons and tons of points. Cornett regular-season games, but I was a Sunday game in Memphis. As I remember it you working class at 8 AM the next morning right when the morning when did you get from us and into bed we got back at like 230 and about five hours sleep and got up innovation in class so a lot of people got mixed reviews about it like you will like.

Why do you even go a lot more like why wouldn't you give me an email you get a lot of excitement around going to class a lot applause got mixed reviews on the playground with the hindsight was that next year on campus was being recognized.

Everywhere you went, did you embrace it do enjoy.

I mean deathly little different and coming in is not a high level recruit in the and going from bad to one of the best players on the team was deathly something to get adjusted to. I embrace it another try.

Describe to be myself and doing many things I could to just who I was good always to be investing humble, making sure put others before myself, but definitely a lot different in use to may with us here on sports on triad. Last week we were chatting with Coach Williams and we were talking about Michael Jordan and the last dance I don't know if you had a chance to watch much of the cereal wall watched everyone but the living room because I just have never really seen footage in like I just rerun but I've never really seen it from my gait media in a large-scale perspective and even like the game footage like some of the games I wasn't alive to see me just to kind of greatness like so here he is pretty remarkable what you remember about Michael's speech to you and the guys after the loss to Villanova in 2006 dear because Williams described as Michael came down to check on Roy.

He tapped him on the shoulder and said hey I just wanted to see how you're doing. And Roy said I don't have any words for the team right now and Michael did what you remember about his message in their loss of thinking about how the game ended in heaven so many highs and lows and then with a bike like Heather head down, reminiscing on what we could've done better on the stage and all of a sudden you hear voice that you recognize this from love and basketball and being around basketball and everyone looks often the greatest player ever, and the mean at that point in their life, not even playing the game and I'm crying because I've never been on that big of a stage in, but once he starts talking.

He just he just says we talked about not having any.

I guess you could say that having any remorse for how we played not being disappointed ourselves and the biggest thing that overcoming failure may use this unbelievable and those really special that he came and talked to us and this is something I'll never forget this for sure, may with us here on sports on triad explain this one to me. Luke you like you said championship runner-up year you didn't really play much and 15. You didn't really play a lot either.

Then in the next two years become all-conference level player conference player of the year level and we saw the same thing kind of with Garrison Brooks who you overlap with a little bit all ACC caliber player last year. What how exactly does that happen. I tell you what I think a lot of credit to coach William.

He is unbelievable and showing you confidence making sure that you know he believes in you and he works with the big guys which you wouldn't kind of expect pride in play very much time and the pain when he played better me just does a great job of coaching and teaching and seeing things that you seen in previous all-American clarity or big cities had in Tyler Zeller M, Hansbrough and so many great to me, all you can do is listen all you can do is try to get better younger than unbelievable player.

I only expect greater injection and have a better team.

So I think it would be a bit tougher from the club. The numbers you do, but I will never doubt Garrison first thing you were to buy Lawson the place to land any place of the key kenaf school okay. Let's talk a little football though because you have what seems to be like a twin, a spinning image of you and your brother Drake may who is getting set to play for the Tar Heels in the next few years when Drake may steps on the campus and he's playing in a Tar Heel uniform. What should we be expecting what is very gifted, very talented. He's five by the best athlete in our family and for him to be a good athlete. Clinical deposition is very rare. I expect them to continue to get better. Continue to try to absorb as much teaching as you can from the coaches of their I have full faith that they will start to compete on a national level and the underside of fall.

I think Andre's going in the perfect time with the quick brown because Long Island I think it's going to be a special next five decades the Tar Heels I think only can see great things coming from the side of the Drake be done after you have recanted on the field and I have full faith while Luke, thank you so much for spending the time with us in the triad got a lot of people who are rooting for you in the G league and beyond that was justice or meal that is Tar Heel legend Luke may which if I had to guess Robert is most known for a shot. He hit against the Kentucky Wildcats, I'd say that's fair right I would agree with you there. Yes, we had him on.

We have reached out to Kristin Lightner haven't gotten a text back on that regard, but will keep you updated if that in fact does happen and on top of that, Darren Vaught, he's good to be with us in a short bit. There are updates to bring to you on the NFL's schedule front nothing with those our next
