This is dry when Josh Graham drives a weekday afternoon. This supports this right.

The SEC-machine it's been doing its thing with former white quarterback Jamie Newman over the last few months.

Of course Jamie is now a Georgia bulldog. I look at the Heisman odds and I see Jamie has the fifth best odds out there and I've had this passed along to me by several people online via email and via Twitter@Josh Graham radio pole fine bomb had Quincy Avery on from the quarterback take over program and they were talking about Jamie Newman yesterday when things I believe jumped up a notch. Is there is there someone that Jamie Newman look like remind you of plays like combine to guide me because I don't dare to compare and like to attend because he is probably one of the best cosplayers ever, but I would put a blend between jail and hurts and can move right great runner really physical is going to be able to do something to throw game to do some decent things and throw game again. That's courtesy of Paul fine bombshell. Jamie isn't the Heisman contender.

The SEC height machine it's overselling.

Jamie, I watched Jamie the last few years at Wake Forest and I've also covered. Pretty much everyone of cam Newton's home games the last few years follow the Panthers closely as somebody who's covered both and spent time with both. I don't really see any comparisons between the two, even between Jamie and let's say jail and hurts. It was the offense of player the year in the SEC before torching big 12 defenses in norm. Jamie isn't they Heisman contender and he's nothing like he's not a freak athlete. He's good. Bought he gets banged up a lot. Okay arm, and the running portion of it is more a product of the offense than it is Jamie's athleticism. I think Sam Hartman he can run it just as well, as Jamie can't, if not better. When you do the tale of the tape with cam and Jamie. It's just not close 15 pounds lighter cams is a five star at a high school Jamie, a three-star Jamie.

He doesn't leap over piles or anything like that cam was doing that when you look at the college stats. Cam had three times as much rushing yards.

It is one year at Auburn and Jamie had last year. Jamie I think produce just half roughly half the rushing touchdowns.

That cam had it's just no contest. I want to set expectations in a fair place. I'm concerned how Jamie's going to fair against SEC competition because the ACC unquestionably was down last year.

The ACC wasn't as bad of a place as they've been in my lifetime or at lease since they've expanded to 12 and now there at 14 since they've had divisions. It hasn't been this wide of a golf now that is it because Wake Forest was good last year understand what I'm saying two things could be true. The ACC could be in good shape, and Wake Forest. Kim went we saw that in 2006, but last year wait was an okay team, and they were at the top of the Atlantic standings at times with cleansing because the conference was down. Look at the games. Jamie played against white competition last year. You don't have to look into many games because they only played one ring team that was climbs. I want to be fair. Clinton's talent level is far different than what Wake Forest had, or really any other ACC team, but against the Tigers. Jamie was six 1441 yards to interception the second best team weight plate was in the ballgame Yankee Stadium. It's Michigan State pinstripe bowl Jamie 12 2775 yards in the contest. Now you think this guys good to go into the SEC and just torch up Tennessee start torch and Georgia I'm in Florida. I just don't know if that's something it's very realistic. He isn't surrounded by a normal Georgia crop of town that we see in the last few years. It's good to be more than he had at Wake Forest bought when you watch the draft a few about a month ago you might've noticed there was an offer to attack a lot of Georgia picked in the top five picks.

You also might notice that late in the first round.

Another offense of tackle went three offense of lineman altogether were drafted out of Georgia. Those guys were no longer in place, the Bulldogs, of course, they lost DeAndre Swift at running back. The replacement redshirt sophomore Zamir white coming off of two ACL injuries. He looked good in the bowl game against Baylor but injury certainly a concern. Durability George Pickett I'm a bullet. The call phone so I pay close attention to the wide receivers. He really stood out look awesome the same way Justin Ross stood out to Clemson against Bama in the title game.

His freshman year I took Pickett look like against Baylor but that was really the only game he had double figure catches and really stood out among the rest look like an elite receiver so we'll see if Jamie can take some of those guys to the next level bought. I don't see a national title contender. I don't see a Heisman contending quarterback I don't see cam Newton. I don't see jail and hurts it's a good quarterback is going to get drafted bought the SEC height machine is overselling the former weight QB shifting things to with all this Jamie Newman talk.

I'm interested in who might be the under the radar quarterback, the one that's off the radar screen right now who potentially could be Job or of this year's overall.

At this time a year ago at a six round great attached to one by Mel Kuyper who could that guy be now because when I look at 2021 mock drafts. It's crazy that we still have those this early, but it does get a lot of reads gets a lot of clicks so I get how that works. Of course you have Trevor Lawrence their Carolina Panthers fans want Carolina to tank and draft that quarterback. I think my pole bear that out. Hundreds of people voting on it and most of them said that they want to tank in order to get Lawrence Justin Fields, probably a top-five pack a lot of people are talking about this North Dakota State quarterback, that being Trey Lantz Newman's projected as being a first-round pick right now I don't see anybody talking about the quarterback I'm about to share with you who I believe can be this year's Jonesboro bets Florida quarterback Kyle Trask is on the radar. I don't understand why not on any mock drafts not really in the Heisman preseason mix his sophomore year numbers last year they were better than burros Junior year numbers his first year with the LSU Tigers not as good as what Trask did with Florida a year ago, LSU was 10 and three Florida was 11 into Jonesboro. He only had 15 touchdowns on the season make it 16 touchdowns, five interceptions for 2800 yards, 58% completion. This being his junior season, not his senior year. Kyle Trask, 67%, which in its nine percentage points better, 100 yards better in terms of passing yards, nine more touchdowns at 25 he had seven packs his team when 11 into this is a name to keep an eye he could fly up draft boards. He's also stocky, a little bit taller. Got some more pounds to them. He looks more like the prototypical quarterback the gators. They returned upon a talent is leading target is back at tight end to best wide receivers are back a scary front on defense there. One of the five DB use out there who do you consider to be the real DBQ is a Texas LSU. Strangely enough I see Miami referring to itself the deed as DB you Clemson was doing that a little bit I found that strange everybody claims to be DB you Florida has a lot of guys coming out of there as well. Aaron, who do you consider that the C-SPAN I got a go LSU yeah I think it's LSU as well. The Panthers they have Dr. Jackson over there and grant Delta. It was coming out Eric Reed.

He was a panther a year ago. I think it's LSU, probably Texas. After that movie get along, though the schedule is so favorable for Florida this year. If you're talking about being a Heisman content candidate if you're talking about being a top-five graphic you got have a damn good thing. Look at the last few number one picks Borough Heisman Trophy winner Baker Mayfield a few years back Heisman Trophy winner Tyler Murray Heisman Trophy winner eyes was at the last three number one picks. So Trask you look at the schedule.

They do not have to face Alabama no Auburn there at a conference is Eastern Washington South Alabama New Mexico State in a rebuilding Florida State team with the new head coach Mike Norvell their toughest games. Georgia neutral site LSU that's good to be in Gainesville and they don't have Joe Brady they don't have the defense accorded or they don't have Borough they don't have Clyde Edwards Allaire.

They don't have a due after March a spec when the political off really good wide receiver, but may lose Justin Jefferson they lose Thaddeus Moss loose guys such as the opposite side of the bone talking about so you gotta think Florida being at home that's going to be favorable for them in the swamp. So I like them right now is my favorite to win in the SEC East. If that happens, they find a way to get into the playoff. Kyle Trask, it's all about what expectations were ahead of you going into the year and how you overachieve them. Overachievers generally win the trophy. Trask he has the credentials to do that because he's not on the radar right now despite having better numbers than Borough's junior season 11 into football team really good gators team coming back winning the SEC it gives you a massive bump as NFL scouts at times view that conference is being the NFL's AAA team wanted to hear some great sports thought well here it is ironic, to drive with Josh Gray out not ironic. It's just coincidental Fox sports hope triad the biggest effect. Coronavirus is had on the sports landscape of the state of North Carolina this week comes in eastern North Carolina. As ECU cuts for programs in order to save money. They have a $10 million budget.

According or deficit. According to John Gilbert, DAD this week. They cut men's and women's tennis men's and women's swimming and it seemed that that's going to save them according to the projections over time, about $5 million and try to work against that deficit. But I was fascinated by the story written by our next guest today.

The title of which@newsobserver.com and in the pages of the observer cutting, tennis, swimming could cost East Carolina more money than it will save and there's an interesting quote from a sports economist Andy Schwartz who said, regardless of what we assume the savings that they say they are getting far far overstate the actual savings from the numbers that they presented based on some potential assumptions about what would happen in the absence of sports they could be very wrong."

Luke appreciate you spending the time with us.

He's on Twitter at Luke to Kok.

Why ultimately were swimming and diving and tennis chosen as the for programs to cut you thing. While the reason is that in a large park facility and did not at that Victorian John Gilbert set it in your renovation.

The kind of complexes in need of renovation used it to fit the standard but you know the what what I wrote about in and how this end up working is especially in the case of swimming tennis is probably a net money loser University just not in dollars that the athletic department thinks it is swimming probably end up bringing in money for the universe because what happens is in both of these ports. You have a lot of foreign students men's tennis and swimming in them men's and women's swimming and diving are not full scholarships for they have about five scholarships for for for 10 people in men's tennis and and and about half of the money seven people on each of the swimming rosters are up scholarship out of get split up so it's not going to work out and eat neatly by body, but the net effect is you have a line of people paying full tuition. The athletic department doesn't see the benefit of that but for the University. The cost to educate one more student with a you know the difference in cost to the University tween if I enroll and you and I enroll is not that much.

The dorms are there. The meals are to be cooked any way to class are to be taught anyway. It's an incremental cost so Andy Schwartz you know these things better than I do, ran the numbers based on Carolina's financial report and found that even though the sports last academic year. So, 18, 19, on paper coffee athletic department, $2 million. They actually brought in.

Probably, depending on the assumption you screwed up running as much is $22,000 for the University because you're bringing so many students were paying tuition so it's one of those examples of how saving the athletic department money can cost the university money now. I should be fair and say John Gilbert's rebuttal to this point is a the facilities which were going to exorbitant enormous amount of money in the future to bring them up to Division I standard and be that these sports are ER subsidized in part by the money that the University give the athletic department so there's a bit of a circular argument there. Sports are making money for the University. Then it helps the money you get the athletic department, but certainly from an accounting perspective their cement back there I realized that is a very wonky and complicated and relies on a lot of accounting but the reality is, these cuts will help ECUs athletic department with the deficit. It had probably not going to do much for the actual University get the athletic department belongs to. So that kind of a small picture picture kind of situation. What affect were I guess what type of ramifications could exist on a title IX front because you were talking about.

Full ride scholarships and while men's and women's swimming and diving. As you mentioned our full scholarship sports and it's not a full scholarships for I think on the men's front. Isn't it a women's tennis full ride scholarship art there only available in that sport.

So the net water scholarship here.

Gender why I believe a problem I had 11 1/2 for each swimming sport and five for men's tennis and eight for women tennis so you you have a net loss of women scholarships of three.

So you are moving further out of title IX compliance. I asked Gilbert about this and and so title IX compliance is really complicated thing that involves long and baskets and there's all kinds of ways you can argue you're in compliance what Gilbert said they believed they were in compliance under what's called proportionality and what that means is the number of scholarships they offer is proportional to the student body and by counting cross-country athletes twice and track athletes twice each. Carolina is 50-50 between men and women. Yet the remedy number that really cute because football has 85 scholarships and women's lacrosse which is a kind of athlete only has five why, but it's also why the added women's lacrosse to they were in deficit and the added women's the cross out of fear of retribution from the NCAA or title IX right and that helps. And in certain ways, but it's really only five scholarships. So I'm this particular prong. It doesn't help them that much. The product Gilbert claims are in compliance.

On East Carolina by what's called double counting, which is counting cross-country and track athletes twice and sometimes three times is that 50-50 men and women. Scholarships the school is 57% female, so there is no like title IX police that come and look at your numbers and take you to title IX jail but if I were an athlete in women's tennis or women swimming. I would be talking to a lawyer and I would be filing a title IX case that I would have a really good chance of when the talk is on Twitter at Luke to Kok read his stuff news observer.com also in the pages of the observer. Let's shift things to NC State. I was talking about them earlier this week because it seemed like they they knew they were going to be in for a fight. From the very start. It seems like before North Carolina's Assam case, the protocol was to be as cooperative and as cordial to the NCAA as possible to get a good ruling but NC State was handed the first in no way, in response to the FBI investigation at the college basketball last summer and the language in some of these in no ways it's very combative language.

Unlike some of the previous ones we seen from the NCAA. Over the years. So now it's going to be handled by the IA RP which is new and the only case they ruled on is an independent party was James Wiseman at Memphis last year in Memphis got hit pretty hard. As a result of that. Did NC state simply roll the dice year where they can't appeal even though I know they're trying to argue that they can after the fact going to this independent party because they simply felt like they could get a fair shake. Or they couldn't get a fair shake from the NCAA will get a whole lot to impact others for different kind of thing unrelated think you touched on number one and I can correct and Faye Memphis refute penalties you need to put their case is not with the ARP. It has not yet been adjudicated by the IA RP. It that will widen Kate is still very much out there.

He was declared ineligible by the NPA. But Memphis has not yet been penalized so that the first case in the IA RP and she stated the second. Now depending on who you talk you into thinking I have a choice in the matter that once the NCA decide that the cases is subject to referral to the new independent board that does not consist of people who have connections University that that's pretty much the way it goes and then the third part there yet.

The exchanges between NC state and the NPA were extremely contentious and extremely freighted with very inflammatory legal language on both side with the NCA accusing NC state of acting in an adversarial way and it stayed, accusing the NPA of of being basically prejudicial in its traditional infractions process so which brings us to the IA RP. This is new.

This came out of the right commission. This is 15 people who have no association with school there arbitrators, former judges, lawyers, and I actually spoke with Namath Stevenson sparks to the. The NCA executive in charge of sort of liaising with the IA RP she's not in charge of it. Don't feel she's the go-between. She's also in charge of the traditional process and in and learned a lot that columns online now, but the gist of it is once you going to the IA RP.

There's all kinds of things that can happen to have a complex case unit that can reinvestigate the whole case there are advocates who are basically like district attorneys to prosecute the case. It does not operate on a traditional NCA timeline. It can have its own timeline like a complex litigation in the courthouse. It is a, and even she admitted she doesn't know what can happen because no one knows the holding process. Yet we assuming that she basically acknowledged on so many work that many of the tedious cases. So were talking Candace and LSU in an and potentially Arizona knowledge antistate all Louisville that these cases will all end up in the IRP because the exchanges between Candace and Nancy have been as inflammatory as the empty state in the NCA right that remains to be seen and then as far as the appeals process you mentioned the IRP does not have an appeals process that was not written in the legislation when the NPA created it and NC state has basically not only threatened the NCA if it in lieu of an appeal but hired not only cattle ladder cath into the law from that that the market report for UNC, but litigators from other firms including Loretto Lynch, the former Atty. Gen. of USO, to whatever degree UNC lawyered up an empty state initially hired Sharon upon King which is the law for UNC hired then in their case you NC state has gone above and beyond now and they have this all-star team of very expensive litigators were it's basically you know the sort of a nuclear deterrent for the NPA and we can unleash litigators on you if necessary. So I know I realize it's a very long answer is yeah antistate headed down a path that not even the NPA know that much about and is very much along with Memphis and probably Candace going to be Cases for this new process and antistate may not have any recourse at the end of it.

My guess is whatever happens in this process antistate will end up suing the NPA. But that is pure speculation and sort of an educated guess on my part. It can not be explained in more consumable way than the way you put it there to talk with us from the Raleigh news and Observer. Am I wrong to think if NC State had the old approach that schools. I think I'm in Miami was as cooperative as you can be until they saw things going south at the Nevin Shapiro stuff, and many other schools were as cooperative and cordial as you can be with the NCAA until North Carolina seemed to create this new way to approach things when they got away and some mind scot-free and I wrong to think if NC State just said hey we were wrong. The people aren't here anymore and were going to accept the punishment that you hand down here and just go the traditional route that they probably would've been better off what you can argue III don't know that I naturally would hundred percent but I think there is some truth to this argument, you could argue that antistate tried to go that way, and antistate in its filing so far as big K we testified on your behalf in court that we were the victim of Adidas at your request we sent our compliance director to court.

We provided all the documents we done additional investigations on our own. And yet you still come back it up.

Basically, it indicates argument and not going into any detail is that the NCA is basically the committee on infractions is basically accepting things as fact, one of which is Adidas is and is consider a booster and therefore empty stated that for anything Adidas does antistate believe that you be able to argue those points in front of the committee and that's why we kind of ended up where we are so II think you could make the argument they probably would that, at least to some degree. NPC has tried to go that traditional path of the reason UNC didn't the second time around they went back With the book.

In 2010 and got slapped around pretty good. And so when they came back around Assam.

They had a different law firm that it different posture, you know you Chancellor new 80 and decided hey you know what we are not going to accept working to be quite different and basically they said we are going to litigate you to the death, and they want and antistate has basically now after being sort of rebuked by the NCA taken that same path and hired some of the same waters.

Many of the same order so yeah, I mean that that is what wouldn't get you called your review process has always been the sort of collaborative cooperative process and NC State would argue that they tried to go down that route and fought for the reasons you state that Gottfried no longer there.

Orlando early is no longer there. You know they could if they wanted to argue that they were any good. When Dennis Smith was there. So what benefit do they get they try to go down that path, I think, in their opinion in the NCA still held them to what they thought was was too high of a standard and the resulting sort of exchange of insults and volleys pushed it to this new process it would be fascinating. Just as a thought exercise to imagine antistate and the NCA still in the traditional process you.

I think that would absolutely devolve into a lollapalooza lawsuit work. Antistate was basically threatening the existence of the NCAA. This new profit kind of offers a different path or maybe both sides can get out of this with theirface get out of this birthright. Luke stay safeto gone just about 45 minutes ago really do appreciate the insight dripping got happier happy, you got it. That's with the talk is on twitter@luketaconicnewsobserver.com in the pages. The observer Sasha. This is the drive with Josh Graham on sports on triad now be enjoying by the driver of the number 13 Geico Chevrolet tie Dylan will it's been a really strange week for everybody in NASCAR, but I'm sure you're very excited to be on the track at the Coca-Cola 600 in Charlotte coming up this weekend. Let's go back to Sunday though. What was the most bizarre part about that first day back on the track in Darlington uniqueness of not having a single lab practice to fill out your HR to make sure every nut and bolt breaks everything work when you went off and determine what it think that was probably the craziest thing for us drivers that we've never really had to go through but it all worked out in you know I got to run it back on Wednesday due to Gannett I got from the polling and what they believe the first couple held by Gartner radio that know that the ability to drive off in the corner and have confidence that I'm going to make it through it is all because of the last four years with my race came in your main reason they've built a great rate card. We've had very little failure. So a lot of things to my team Kurt for keeping me safe and in a situation like that. They did a great job to strong racecar so far and really do it again this weekend for the cook 600 back into your background a bit time you grew up in the Piedmont. So I got to know what was your favorite local track were spot to do some racing grown-up crowd favorite local spot, I'd say near here was was 311 file was one of the place. I got my early start at under racing on the theory came up to Charlotte quite a bit let you car racing, but the you know, I grew up going to school and intersect country day has hit you. Most of my young life and in Winston-Salem still have a 336 phone number so you enjoy the Piedmont and you know there's some great racetracks great local racing around their will always be from from the sale. There we saw Kyle Bush's and Chase Elliott's altercation earlier in the week and recommended headlines, having an older brother Austin is also a racer. What's the worst argument you guys ever had on the racetrack.

Worst argument.

I know we've been mad at each other hundred times at the racetrack and were extremely competitive. Probably one of the younger memory lawyer little race lead cars or maybe even then where is the first and rear of race. He was running and I believe I was six with two laps to go, and I drove so far in the corner and rectum and got my first top-five ever, and he was that and we did all of their driving home with her mom from Kentucky and there was no word set all the way home. It's tie Dylan with us. Except for the Coca-Cola 600 on Sunday. Your granddad is Richard Childress so I got a no. What's the best Dale Earnhardt story you had passed down to you that he told you. Yeah, I haven't gotten to video the stories noted that the people have already heard you know it is relationship with Dale is so intimate they were best buddies and I know how that is. You have a lot of stories of their hunting buddies just moments and memories that you can never take back can never get again. I don't is very missed by my family, but and I was so young when he was around. I knew he was our hero and every week, and we watch on TV whether he ran good or not was kind of the controlled attitude of our family week to week and it was fun watching him and being a part of that right at a young age and you know then that also going through the tragedy of losing there was a huge impact on our family but yet he was a special character.

I member him only only member I really have and kinda picking on often and I at the racetrack where really literally always yelling would come by intent. You are to give you new year do something on your head or whatever, whatever, did just cannot know you as a kid I got the military paint job going for this weekend Memorial day. Thank you so much for spending time in your home area on the Piedmont Triad it's appreciated yeah no problem with the love have not been on you guys and and also everything military. This weekend for Memorial day at the special presser Geico military team always looks amazing and I would always represent you know a lost motorhome told her, and will be our owner to do so that we can usually get to have the family at the racetrack in unfortunately with the circumstance weekend this year will be doing our best to honor them all on the race card on the racetrack do the best time. Best of luck this weekend. I think you and there is this tie Dylan joining us driver the number 13 Geico Chevrolet coming off a top 20 finish in Darlington. I don't know if I spelled this out as well as I probably wanted to but what a great racing family that is not just talking about Austin and tie. We had both those guys on the show and both those guys we wish him the best. Each and every week, but the fact that tie Dylan's granddad is Richard Childress whose from Winston-Salem just speaks to how interconnected the NASCAR community is in this area and how everything kinda links back to the triad and to the city of Charlotte but as a little brother man. I just can't someone's little brother, myself.

I can't imagine what it must be like and what it must feel like to race each and every week against your brother to hip to have him in the mix to try and follow in those footsteps and I just would like to know how often it was him on top versus Austin because I know my brother. There's a video game. Me and my brother played as a kid I can't remember which one it was, though I remember beating a minute and he said he'd never play it again. That's it. He would always beat me at everything and then once I took him out and something I'm not playing a videogame. This is the way it worked so you kinda push each other and you have that relationship that centered around competition that centered around in this case racing thoughts are welcome on twitter at sports a try at 336-777-1600 B and the phone number look at the clock who's on the show today had this column that I thought was pretty staggering.

Considering the news of yesterday, East Carolina cut men's and women's tennis in men's and women's swimming and diving giving them 16 programs now when before they had 20 which is more than Appalachian State Wake Forest, Charlotte here in the state of North Carolina and more than any school in the conference.

They reside in the American however the headlines this cutting tennis, swimming could cost ECU more money then it's going to save which sounds like such a crazy idea, but renowned sports economist Andy Schwartz. He was quoted in this story saying that regardless of what we assume the savings that they say they're getting far far overstate the actual savings from the numbers they presented based on some potential assumptions about what would happen in the absence of sports. This could be very wrong. Swimming almost certainly I think makes money.

And while tennis doesn't the actual cost of having the tennis program on campus is very small. Once you factor in the fact that providing a scholarship doesn't cost the university as much as the list price when you factor in the dorm room.

The classes when you get a cut of the books and the meals. When you charge when you charge yourself list price and you only pay cost essentially it boils down to this.

This is a decision that's made by the athletic department in concert with the University and where I think this argument holds a lot of water is with the number of athletes who pay their own way as swimmers and divers like East Carolina.

They only have 23 scholarships for the 54 swimmers on rust on the roster, which means over 30 over 30 of the swimmers pay their own way. Do you know who makes that money East Carolina University also.

The school makes a lot of money for international students paying their way these schools are predominantly are these programs are predominantly international students. 23 of 48 I think current athletes have listed hometowns outside of the United States. Among those that were not lost scholarship. That's crazy. 23 of the 48 so I hope ECU knows what it's doing here.

I think it's an upgrade in administration what they have now with John Gilbert who I think understands the gravity of such a decision even though some of the messaging bothers me is a lot of things with the messaging I've seen today. That's really ticked me off a bit. ECU saying that programs have been affected. I was the headline programs have been affected all really affected how are they going to recover over there eliminated all got messaging such an important think it sounds a lot better in a headline that programs have been offset did then all they've just been cut.

They been eliminated. It's why you here relieved of their duties.

When the coaches fired versus yeah like I got fired. Messaging is so important. Like apparently Dave Clawson said something earlier today like I tried to watch this Wake Forest athletic stream where Steve Forbes Dave Clawson another's. There talking to Wake Forest students trying to pump them up, get them ready for the year and such. For whatever reason the link wasn't working so I just gave up on it. But then I see a tweet that says Dave Clawson essentially I think I'm paraphrasing here because I don't have it in front of me right now we have our home opener against Abbott still on his scheduled they think they have the best program in the state and I think we're the best in the state that I see Conor O'Neill, who posted that tweet saying on Twitter that he was asked to take it down. All such a salacious thing, Robert. It needs the hip-hop air horn you don't want Dave Clawson publicly saying that he thinks his program is the best. This is where were headed and hard and he was with us. Not too long ago and he was talking about covering NASCAR races from his house like when reporters when the time comes when we can have the conversation about member members of the media, like myself, or like Connor or just newspaper writers, web whatever if they should have access to the locker room. As you know that's gonna be coming up eventually.

I want you to think about what I just described to you.

Wake Forest, you know, having issue trying to hey did a tweet deleted I believe is what it was because I didn't like what Clawson had to say ECU saying all someone has been affected that programs have been affected when they've actively been eliminated if access is limited on independent outlets such as this one, then what you're going to get his spoon fed content that's really the Nelle from schools and from organizations like if they just control the content. Sports would not be nearly as interesting because we have the ability to tell the story independently work for Wake Forest. I don't owe anything to anybody other than fairness and that's what we try to give.

We try to be subjective. We try to have fun. We try to cover teams appropriately and fairly right. So if we don't get the access, then it makes it difficult for us to tell the story, but the fear I have is that these schools and also be organizations like the Panthers.

The Hornets proteins they feel like they're getting to a point where they can tell the story better than we can. And also there to leave out all the bad stuff which also might be the most interesting stuff. Aaron, you're the one that let me know about this when I was preparing for the show today what you think I have the exact quote if you would like to hear. All I would love to hear the exact quote did I miss was I was I off my other brothers just is important towards important words what it Dave Clawson say that apparently Conor O'Neill had to delete on Twitter quote they think they're the best program Wednesday cool with spicy I can arty since the spiciness we know we're the best program and all states consider face Kentucky degree after what Steve Forbes said a few weeks ago.

Consider your faith will be pleased. We can't have your coaches saying that way. As I can't believe he said it either. Oh my gosh, Dave Clawson believes his football team is good audacity. It's amazing already didn't go well what will don't go that far. All right, now that we've had time to stew on the way for his hiring of Steve Forbes. I'll tell you why it's best for Wes Miller that he ends up that he remains at UNC Greensboro.

That's next on the door on the drive Josh Gray on sports on triad flooring in the top 10 list in honor of the dinos, Carolina Panthers fans, or I should say cam Newton fans. You can't have it both ways. I see people saying cam should not accept anything less then a starting job. Then they get mad when they see Joe Flack go has just been signed by the New York Jets. We know damn well that Flack owing starting for the Jets. It's good to be Sam Donald over there yet I still see angry cam Vance all look at this wacko get signed before cam does you get out of the way.

Either he's too good to take a backup role and should accept nothing less than a starting position or its he should be able to take a backup role in team should be taking Joe Flack go over him. Cam should accept a backup position with the Jets so that closes up another place potentially cam could land.

I guess poor Joe Flack robber are you will Flack go guy, still because he went on that historic run with the ravens won your team a Super Bowl yeah I don't I don't understand where the Flack code should slander comes from pharmacies come here to be a backup of the be a great advisor can like to move darned along don't say probably well I think the problem ravens fans had with lacto once they paid him. It led to dinner. You get paid. I mean fans don't get that side of it and I'm knocking to be one of those people do want to Super Bowl MVP. He want to serve bully it was well dulled Peyton out Donald Brady and I told Her some of the best game and enter the relevant history words in that playoffs and the dude got paid. We had to sacrifice a couple years of not doing so hot you know what Soviet so Flack go is now a New York Jack cam's just watching and laughing. I suppose let's get to the top 10 list my top 10 dinos dinos in honor of our beloved and see dinos number 10 my number 10 T Rex Ryan speaking of the ravens T Rex Ryan, gosh I miss coaches being as interesting as T Rex Ryan. What is the most interesting NFL head coach now you're interested in what they have to say each and every time they stepped to the microphone because at that time had Parcells had Rex Ryan.

They didn't mind firing off at the yes and I was hearing you will what they need to do in Tampa is give them a cocktail as he's walking off the field walking into the press conference room.

One thing you need to add to area feel his persona number nine number 990 Vince Carter. You and I don't like is the greatest raptor ever ranked first or without a sale.

I mean he didn't bring a championship like wind blowing the years that the history I would probably put choirs like you want to beloved the Rosen I don't our anger rose in Lowry is much as I is I give him crap. He is probably three on that list and you got like Bosch and the older guys put out a very special place in the heart. Why, just for the title Robert is a massive Toronto Raptors fan. It's not because he's a homer it's not because he's bandwagon or I should say he was there 10 years ago, watching her nanny who ever you say stickleback Toronto Raptors try to think of a good example better than Andrea's Argentine Salmon of Johnson, Amir Johnson, we can stop there. I never ate my number 890 Jurassic Park men who don't work right blue and all that's not what I was thinking of it all you got an actual player on the dinos were claimant Jurassic Park number seven my number 790 Triceratops trading cards at the work that it I miss my green and move goes to been going to need tagline. I can't stand Mark Jackson like that's always good for mom will have goes that man I noticed he stopped doing hand down man down because sometimes he would say it when the defender got their hand up right now. Remember it was the series last year somebody closed out. Now man down you know the rules. Apparently, I don't six number six top 10 dinos rod. The body Zillah was that when you have never do was to multiple appearances from number 510 dinos my number five Dino Rhett Tar Heels you know what that is in it.

Dinosaurs with the most depressing season finale of all time. Everyone is toilet everyone just dies. It's now a nuclear winter, and all the dinosaurs died in the camera fades out like a kids show you it was a little more on the adult side but yet it was still huge so I'm serious.

A nuclear winter comes through because the dinosaurs ruin their home habitat the camera slowly plays or pans out as the earth is covered in like this frozen tundra. We number for my number four Dino Barney Fife picture Barney Megan with his yeah you can make it on America's favorite deputy sheriff south the Mayberry number three number three Dino Yoshi vera will back down saying there's some way we the best part of making the sounds is just getting the watch. Although I couldn't work in land before time but I got we're back in there. I got dinosaurs I got Fred Flintstone was little upset. I couldn't blame for time in these last two are really good number two top 10 dinos Brontosaurus Brontosaurus high up on the list. Number one my number one Dino Dino Gaudio really good talk time was I thought blue Brontosaurus was close to making the cut just didn't some other strange ones that we had written down OB Triceratops and looking for something else here Dino mighty my answer so I had for this week top 10 dinos. What I miss on Twitter at sports a try and if you want to chime in. Looking at Tiger versus Phil this weekend on Sunday I'm going with Phil and Tom going with those two over Tiger and Peyton but I'm going to enjoy watching it because I just want to see how bad or how good Brady and Manning lauric golf I saw Brady joke with left go out and left I was going to do the pregame for the pre-match show on TNT and TBS. He thought about Brady bringing his six Super Bowl rings and using a couple of the rings as ball markers so you know how you're getting ready for a pot you would put down the corridor something to mark where your ball was Brady thought about using a Super Bowl ring. There because Brady has so many of those that he could just use them as ball markers while Peyton only had to.

Peyton responded in kind by saying I gotta give Tom all the respect in the world for having six rings to my two if it wasn't for my mom, he probably has 11 to read that some attic stock when Peyton one. It was the come back in 2006, that great AFC championship game. I think it was like 21 to 3 or 24 to 3. Asante Samuel had a pick six for the patriots as a name I haven't thought about in a while.

Robert was the Nickelback sound that is not something Samuel and then when Peyton one for the Broncos Super Bowl L you think about that great AFC temperature game Tom and the patriots had a chance to tie it with the two-point conversion, but Rob Gronkowski couldn't pull it in on the two-point try so they one in Denver if not for Peyton standing in the way. Probably the patriots go to the Super Bowl. Those two years and the Colton Broncos led by Peyton one when they got that stage, who's to say the patriots would not have Aaron what did you take issue that issue with their Asante seems too good. Really yeah bro like a Hall of Famer know the students a good bit. How many times did something Samuel make it to the Provo Temple rating of how to judge of someone's good or not. It's not a terrible rating fast waste on fan.

How many times was he an all-pro radio.

I would see where he stacks up like those years when the always let you in 2007 he was all-pro and slips to approval 2008. He was there through Provo 2009 and 2010.

He was let Super Bowl so you think is too good to good is a two-time NFL interceptions later to so is to get cash. The patriots they had great great DVDs those years of Otello. Only a high law. Of course, but then in the secondary safety and where Malloy and Robbie Harrison. We become the radio show were now just listening off and we want you 15 years ago like this where we are. Imagine being younger and you're just like who the hell's lawyer Malloy that's in the Québec chant Bailey River champ Bailey Bailey is way too good. He's a first ballot Hall of Famer. Remember Eli Ellis Hobbs Marelli Ellis's holy bleep that's that's definitely a Nickelback in the place. I forget the big play that he had, but he had a big boy mom be possible to good use too good to good.

He got like the biggest contract every yard. I know, but like if you get paid the biggest contract you ever had any other plant. Your positions ever had you not Nickelback, and I also think that happened too late to be brought because Weller would probably dispute that a guy got to get the biggest contract in the history of his position as Weiler got $72 million from the text.

It was a terrible three year deal. Not a full five year right but guaranteed money. You look at whatever metric you want to. It wasn't the biggest contract quarterbacks ever have. What about Tyrone Poole. You're my guy now I do think he was really an outside care, here's here's what's happening.

This is rebelling, behind-the-scenes, this is Robert and Aaron becoming fed up because we've done the Nickelback and the Magic Dragon segment for baseball and these guys were able to contribute on those because they don't know jack about baseball. Baseball Nickelback names you haven't given me one. Imagine Dragon I don't know know who imagine Dragon is probably Kurt that probably are unable to help out, but we're not doing this for NFL players just not doing yet is out of place. Maybe starting the Nickelback boxes a little bit. Problem with that sport is there are a whole lot of recognizable names and that's kind of the point Reyes eroded that is a recognizable name coming up Jamie Newman's the next cam Newton here on Friday drive
