I think since he's never had the opportunity to put on a deacon had he should just do it. Just put it all. He's 85 years old. There's no reason you can justify picking Wake Forest to be Clemson but just to stir something up.

Since there are no fans in your 85 bleeping years old. Corso just imagine. Imagine what Corso would look like with that head on. He put on NC State had before. I don't know for certain if he put on a Tar Heel before I be willing to bet you didn't put on the blue devil at any point, but he's never had the opportunity to put on a demon deacon. It does feel like that a little bit where if you're not a big MBA fan you might be thinking it's college football if you're not, you know, if you think if you're not a college football fan and you only watch the yeah it's inside the MBI there people don't watch that show outside of the playoffs so they might not think of it, while every week of the college football season. There is real urgency. If the team loses what I could be yet I still think it's game day just because it's an event there are far fewer college game day shows.

Then there are inside the MBA shows. I would agree with that but if it's something if it's something I'm going to watch that I would probably watch inside the MBA.

But if it's something on the background of a tailgate then yeah I thrown callers anything. Here's the thing. There's no personality on college game day. I care to hear from more than Charles Barkley bought that's kind of the beauty of game day. The appeal of the show isn't anybody on the shuttle. It's it's the only pregame show that legitimately pulls off being the event.

It's almost like a sport and it's in its own right. Watching game day watching the signs. It's the fans. The fans are the ones performing for you, trying to pick out the signs trying to see what they're going to do the timing on it you're waking up in the morning it's getting you ready for football. There's Tubby Smith's championship at the Kentucky Wildcats in the 90s as well. Then Kevin Ali winning it with the UConn Huskies in the last decade. Those are the four African-American college basketball coaches to win a national championship. It's very exclusive club Leonard Hamilton. The first interaction that the coach Smith had with Coach Thompson was in the recruiting of Donald Washington, John and his wife Gwendolyn were the guardians of Donald Washington, Donald Washington came to Carolina he had a starcrossed career injured for most of it, but Donald Washington, kind of, you know bridge that friendship if you will. So then when the Georgetown program and people who are old enough or not. And remember this but Georgetown used to play in the McDonough gymnasium on campus. This was long before they went to the capital center and started playing okay used to play McDonough Jim and they had a player named John during bayberry during and Georgetown. In fact, you can see it in the 82 national championship game.

Some didn't.

And at the end of the day. Their friendship was really grouted and Coach Thompson and coaches Chesty I think were two guys in the industry who were closer were coach Smith after he retired, then maybe when they were coaching but still a great respect for one another, but they became closer in terms of friendship and Coach Smith got sick. I think Coach Thompson you may recall a year or two before Coach Smith passed away.

John Thompson came to Raleigh to do an NCAA regional and misunderstood respect, Coach Smith, then and Coach Thompson was obviously supposed to speak at the memorial service and was unable to make it to Chapel Hill and that's when Jerry T-3 showed up but yeah I the rich the respect and the friendship. There was a strong and as good as you can have in this industry and really inspiring when you think about it because I John Thompson realized that you know Dean Smith was God who wanted really a lot of the things that people want now and you know I have been thinking about coach Smith a lot specially and in all the stuff that's been going on because coach Smith was one of those guys who thought about that stuff in the 1960s because the influence of his mother and dad who were both teachers in Kansas that is amazing storytelling.
