Now are being join by the newest North Carolina Tar Heel. That being Pete Nance is going to be banking in the post with Armando Bay, our guy we got in the know the last handful years and I got ask you this, though, when North Carolina first appeared on your radar screen. When North Carolina was playing Duke in the final four. Where was Pete Nance watching I would watch and you know it all, but my family able to being able to be there and watch that with them. I think it is done every year in know that we are really cool experience been able to follow that Ron that the.maiden you know it just kinda always makes me hungry to be out there so to the years to be year and have a chance to hopefully you know make a run at that again is the real seat that was before you entered the portal though, so what would Pete Nance at that time and told me if I informed them he be playing with all these guys and Coach K's career with the exception of Brady Manning. You know, I thought I'd know you been I would deftly been awesome to hear me know at that time, I would logically I was real focused on the NBA draft process so I kinda had my mind set on being able to go to the next level, hopefully. But you know luckily if you know what it was a lie wanted to be. So I think having the opportunity to come back to college and in play for such an amazing program like North Carolina with no so much history in such an amazing roster and amazing amazing coaches I think is really just a dream come true. Pete Nance North Carolina-based joining us at the USGS new stock sports so your older brother. He went from Wyoming to the NBA and I can imagine even though your dad was in the lead for a while there still some culture shock that comes with that.

Are you experiencing all any culture shock.

Are you expecting to see it transferring from Northwestern to Carolina yeah I think so, little bit you know for sure. I think just just history and I think the story story history obviously walking here in NC and see in these banners and national player of the year jerseys all hanging up.

I think it you know something that I'm not really used to, but I think it's just it's it's really cool to be here and I think you can. You could tell just walking in the walking in the Smith letter that there's you know some incredible things that have been done here at amazing players that walk through and I think just being in this environment has been has really been amazing for those who don't know your older brothers Larry Nance Junior in the week he seven years older than you, Pete.

So what's the closest you ever came to beating him one-on-one.

Well, you know, I haven't I've ever come pretty close over the year. Obviously you know when I was younger. He he usually peed on me beat up on me pretty good. Seven years is a lot man seven years. I know I know know for sure. He's always been. He's always been really strong, always really bullied me and that kind of pushed me around B and B in the older brother but I think over the past couple years and I think we he purposely really want to keep score of the game that we played so because he doesn't want to know when might it might not abandon him every time so you know it's it's it's deftly been funded get close to him and that way you know I've gotten older but you have become pops the right how easy easy yeah no problem. He needs to slow down the Casey fuss Nance is with this year from the Tar Heels. Who's the guy that's really made to feel at home.

Since arriving yeah I think I think there. There've been a couple guys I think Justin McCormick is really really made me feel welcome and invited me to dinner and stuff like that. It helped me get to know some of the best restaurants and things like that in town okay where descending was McCoy sending you man up into a big stony River is really good.

All obviously you know it's a little bit of a bigger name Ben & Jerry's on Franklin is been really good in all but a bunch of different places, but Bob Bob deftly appreciated them for that and then you not been open, getting closer and closer with the with Armando being able to go through workouts with him and stuff like that.

Okay, I think that you know that that's a greater wealth. I really appreciate those guys making the effort. You know, don't make me feel comfortable getting to know Pete Nance noted ice cream enthusiasts.

It sounds like joining us here on the way out. Did you get to play in some of those pickup games with the North Carolina MBA guys came back.

Are you not been able to play in a couple for sure. It was awesome.

It was awesome. I think you know II think it says a lot about the program that those guys want to come back in, take time to try to play with the guys that are currently on the team and I think you know how how good of a player.

The you guys were here, guys like Tyler and Burrell and Marcus Paige and Chuck Jackson. Camp Johnson, but I think it really says a lot about their character good they are as a person with them coming back and kinda giving your time to the guys that are next up so it's it's been really cool Nance look forward to seeing you face-to-face.

Thanks for making the time.

Welcome to the Carolina already. Thank you so much appreciate you have me on
