Hidden treasures of the hundred and 19 so we are going on a treasure hunt in the gold we are seeking in this treasure is actually the phase of God light.

Join us taking this deep dive mining with David in the hundred and 19 warehouse building that they were in the dark about how this is a fascinating thing once again we get to the fourth verse, or we get halfway through the section on bed once again. King David levels up and and and this is really an amazing earthly is amazing. Verse 12 almost comes along and shocks you. Is it so different from the other verses so far in the salt and it makes perfect sense when you realize were talking about the letter that which is this whole section of the these eight verses inherent 12.

He parses he pauses to say the Barack he stopped to bless God and so I don't know if you're aware, but it's a beautiful thing that the Jews they bless God after they eat.

They often bless God before the but really there thanking him for the food and so it's not unusual at all, that they would say a blessing, especially on Shabbat and enduring high holy meals there going to bless God at the end of the meal.

Another word say Blessed are thou, Lord, write they want God to feel the joy that there feeling for having experienced such a meal while if you think about the previous verse of picking David of the previous three verses really working. David is talking about right, seeking him with all hard and then hiding his word and his heart. In other words, David had a meal here so he stops to show us is that we and I really thought about this. It was in fact you know realize what he did here as well after we take in a meal of the word. In other words, God has given us some wonderful thing that in our mining adventures or whatever that week. That is blessed our soul.

Wow, how cool is it to stop and bless him like man. Thank you God and so here's what what David does.

He said Blessed are thou, Lord, in other words, he is pausing here to say that meal you know those words that I treasured up in my heart.

Thank you like, man.

It's just it's an amazing little note that I that I really love to think about as I come to this particular verse, which is the halfway point again in order to level up in a David realizes this is God it's good to be God. This can take to the next level. So he stops. He blesses God and then he hits him with the tough question teach me thy statutes. And as we talked about before the statutes are the high hard ones right. Those are the ones that really he struggles to know, like the one with Eddie he should live allowed his friend a loser had to touch the ark, you know, that killed them. In other words, these are the most difficult Commandments and is kind of fun to go through the Scriptures and pick out statutes and go okay will this one you know is not make a lot of sense to me. Well, that's what God is what that's what David is asking right here he saying look, you know, since I have been so blessed by all that you've given me.

Give me more right to those who have been given you no more will be given an answer. King David is acknowledging here. Wow, if I received God.

I've I've hidden up your word in your heart and now give me the good stuff you give me those statutes that that I'm really really longing to understand and really longing to be able to do, and then he uses the word teach and that word teach in Hebrew is almost like love because it's it's a similar thing that your heart it loves to learn and you love to find out about people that you love and so when he's saying teach me this is an act of love. In other words is is I am trying to find out more about you, God, I'm really seeking you with my whole heart. He sees coming back in there and saying look I want to love you more.

In order to love you more need understand you more and I need to to to see things the way that you seem like you would you know on that date.

We talked about before. Write your sit there in the candlelight. You're looking deep into your lovers eyes and you're asking them questions because you you want to know him better.

You want to get closer to them you want to join with them you want to have communion with and so when he's saying here, teach me your statutes. This is really a love request this.

This is something that's coming from and I think it's absolutely beautiful as we think about it next time that we get Doug thought it would get a choice morsel. Whatever it is it just allows you less and then say teach me more so. Again, thank you for mining with me today in the
