So in and if you think through these things ahead of time. A dangerous driving situation and you prepared mentally for it then you're gonna be in better shape. So here's here's a dangerous driving situation. You may never have encountered. But if you do, you'll never forget driving a car at a constant speed on your left side of the valley and on your right side is a fire engine in the fire engines traveling at the same speed as you in front of you is a galloping hauled which is nearly the same size as your car and you can overtake it behind you is a helicopter flying at ground level. Both the giant hog and the helicopter also traveling at the same speed as you. What must you do to safely get out of this highly dangerous driving situation. I need to move to a new town. It's a galloping hauled that get that gets me and and then you got the fire engine in the helicopter but here's the if once you know the technology to get the situation you will never, never have to deal with it again. Moving over to the spiritual side. How about wow I'm to go on a short-term mission trip this year. Maybe that's baby that's a resolution that you want to make or you know there's in Christian business men's committee.

We like to think about getting a Paul in our life of Barnabas in our life in the Timothy in her life. What that means is that of a man in our life. That's in a been walking with Christ longer that the spiritual mentor somebody that you bits mentoring you in a Barnabas is somebody in your life who is like an encourager like Mike is for me.

Mike constantly encourages me sends me emails put comments on my on my website you know everybody needs Barnabas is in their lives and in and you know my Christian Toyota guy dance and really I mean if there was ever a Barnabas there.

There's the guy right there right Robbie that he got some Barnabas is in your life might yet my friend of a rate Barnabas for me. We have an accountability lunch every two weeks and it's great encouragement is one we been doing it for about three years that's it's great so yeah you go out there that New Year's resolution is, you know, find a Barnabas in your life and the last one is yet to get a Timothy Emin who in your life is somebody that you are mentoring somebody that that you're bringing up you know who is the next Christian card you know Robbie is not getting any younger so you know who would be the one that to take your place and so in all different ways have you got a Timothy in your life. So those are some three the of the of on the spiritual side moving over to the car side again.

We talked about name your car, how about switching all your lubricants to synthetic about that when Mike oh, I'm right there with save the environment money and better longer like cars yeah I'm I'm there as well as change oil regular and so along those lines, I think it's time for you to spill the beans. Go ahead and tell us your big, you really do have a wonderful announcement. I decided this year with my relationship with Robbie that I wanted to take my life in a different direction. So I just recently sold Alamo oil and I'm renaming myself Christian oil guy and go to be putting my site together and I'm going to be giving 60% of all my profits to do the Lord's work that that's where I'm going with this.

I just just something that was eaten at me and I and I want more spirituality in my life for the good news looking for wow that's amazing. And then talk about your New Year's resolution. I'm in a get rid of all those cans that were in the drink holders and in whatever trash I've got right there on get gas and also check your oil those other things you know that's when my have to get on my wife but quite honestly, but we do have somebody here with another New Year's resolution. We have the Christian car. Mom actually where my mom here in Tennessee. Happy new year mom what you got for me. Try hard and angry at other drivers calling them name, I weigh my concentration on what I'm doing my work. That's a great one in and and you know I'm I had that whole picture in my mind of all the children that would be sitting now II got admit mom I can remember a few times when we have certain things happen in the car and let you know that that's where I learned some of my best words but it nonetheless went when you were talking about help with her $1200 transmission problem you you don't know.

I can't believe you know you I do know exactly where the help comes from. I just, you know it's got an amazing mom how the you hear these requests and you see these things in ICM every day and a lot of them. Unfortunately we haven't met nothing.

How in the world this this is seems impossible. It seems impossible, then God comes to the rescue and it is just like I guess the people that were praying for Peter's release. You know when he shows up at the door thinking the ghost you know it just it's a surprise every single time. And I know Mike your standby out you know what I mean. One of the most enjoyable things I can.

I used to have to drive when I was in the car business how to drive from Raleigh to Winston or to Greensboro quite frequently and I got the Bible on CD. Back in those years, and one of the joys of my life if I had to make that long drive was to listen to the whole Bible. And I probably listen through 15 or 20 times over. A few few years and it really really help me to get a oversight of the Bible. I don't think I would've had had I not listen to it and I have others dramatized versions. You know Mike where you know when when there put Jesus on the cross. You know you can hear the hammer pounding and in the crowd in the background and ended it brought things up to life for me and gave me a love for God's word that I you know for a New Year's resolution. I think it's amazing what if you ever done that Mike will be discussed while you drive together you go. What a great book that we study usually on the trip back over talk about what will be doing it on the way back to get it out of the park for triple starting tomorrow, but yeah, it is a grubby if I can.

What what inspired me to a working with you what I was reading James and James tells us that you no faith at work is not an action dear, I have been like Christianity and everything, but I wasn't putting in an action to my words and my work. That's what made me change what I was doing and that would've never happened had I not become part of the ship just brought me to another level in my spiritual life, so I wanted to put that in action James calls it right out just just cut that book just called me out to campus.

He puts that really, really well. I was I was reviewing this mass might actually where he said you know when were standing there. The judgment were not to be judged on what we read what we heard will be judged on what we did and I don't mean the judgment as far as whether or not you get in the hat obviously is through Christ.

What he did that gets us into heaven, there is there other there other crowns and things that the judge based on not you know what we render what we heard but what we did and you know it's it's that's just draws in real close to another a Thompson campus solution that I think it's amazing, and in a bit of a story Thompson campus says that you and this is in his book every year to root out some flaw in your character and the way he says put acts of the root and so you know it when I listen when I read that I started thinking you know what Robbie you know you're pretty perfect.

I can think of a single flaw, opened it, the more I thought about it and all of a sudden I realize I have this problem with envy. Now I didn't envy other people's cards. Obviously our something that they have financially or houses. I didn't envy anything like that. What I you know being a radio show host, I would envy other radio talkshow host that would get more stations or I would envy people that had different opportunities that I felt like I should have, and I was really struggling with this and that I was.

I was thankful that I was reading Thomas Has well here you go Robbie here something that you can root out you got some empty problems right here eating away at your soul. And guess what. As I read on further in the book, there came a solution that I could work on now not saying I've rooted out but I did put acts to the root and will tell you that family come back, but we need to hear your resolution.

I had this problem with MB will maybe I still have it to an extent that because as I started to think through you know Robbie you are envious about this and this person we get this opportunity and I would be envious and I and I saw that that was obviously a problem but you know you don't find a solution until you know you got a problem. So once I realized I Robbie that's really good that's not that's real live in the right there.can you help me out. I started praying about that, and as I read on and Thomas a campus book he really he brought this nugget to me.

He said you know when you see something happening for somebody else. It's not necessarily just then that's involved in that. In fact, it's not just them involved in it at all. It's God working through them. So if that other person gets 14 more radio stations where he gets his opportunity to write this book. Read gives us opportunity for whatever that's that you're envious about. Guess what, it's God working through that person and so what's wrong with your heart if you can't see how that's good and without as a foundation for my new envy understanding. I thought took an ax to the root, Michael Tennyson coming now. I don't know about about that but I will say that I love that resolution and I love what Thompson campus suggested that we believe God.

We gotta take an ax to the root of those things all right getting onto the cars we got it we got a few here that we need to, you know, track your gas mileage is one thing you know you can't manage what you don't measure and one of my resolutions would be if you not doing it. Track your gas mileage for a lot of reasons, in which, by the way, if you get a Christian card. I.com you see all of these and there's a link to how to how to track your gas mileage and the way to do that is is you simply you know you go to that website and you just put in how many gallons you got how many miles you drove that time. And so you distract that and in doing that you will not only find out what you're doing wrong or right as far as how your driving techniques for working but also how is your car running in of all of a sudden drops off that you been driving exactly the same way, you know, there may be an issue with you and with how your driving or something along those lines, but guess what, when you are actually measuring your gas mileage.

I will bet money your foot will be lighter on this accelerator pedal when you think might prove it. Like me when I monitor my fuel economy like it's lighter like the brakes. I certainly do and I ended up cheating or by should say that, but I really become cost that I monitor my fuel economy lot.

I keep a journal and car. It helps tremendously. Now another one of my mechanical resolution sort is that that I think people on his find a good mechanic now. Do you really have the really have somebody that you trust.

That's gonna take care your car somebody that you know that well like old red turn 322,000 miles on it. I think this week and it do I know that the reason that old red made it this long is because it was well maintained by Canada mechanic you really knew what he was doing. Do I have that in my life if I don't have that in my life how I go about getting that well the good news is IMO article written about that on the Christian card. I.com but I'll give you a quick tips are number one all the parched places in the country.

They hand out parts to mechanics, especially like a nap or play for mechanics by parts mechanics usually don't buy parts that AutoZone electronic place they go through an Apple Store. So if you were to go to an Apple Store and ask the parts guys who were the good mechanic you know why they know it's like why a nurse knows the doctor because the guys who return all the parts because he didn't fix the car, not the good mechanic cc the guys who they know that the unit they been servicing these guys for years they given the part away they go.

Same thing if you went to your local junkyard. They know who the good mechanic target would would deal in use parts because they know again who didn't return the parts you didn't have the problems who got what they needed and and and just like nurses no good doctors. I assure you parts people and I used to be one of parts.

People know a good mechanic and so you know find out you know if you if you're driving a Honda go find a Honda parts person that deals most parts a lot and they will tell. They will point you to a good mechanic but also never forget that prayer is a big part of this and also nothing wrong with just throwing out that prayer request in your Sunday school class. Guess what you got.

Not only do you get all the prayer support that some of your Sunday school class may hey I haven't answered your prayer right now.

I got this guy and when you get so those are the liquid ones for how about you know finding a good mechanic this year because when you have a good mechanic.

It it changes how you feel about how long you can keep your car I might absolutely not only do you want us was a good day. Well, 20 because in many places there really good but they don't have someone that could really like notes without starting to change. Part and I find it that's what I get asked a lot, who can diagnose really well and is not about ability is exactly right. Those are huge.

I am insight is like my mother will tell you he will come through for you and you will have an opportunity to share your testimony in public and it's amazing thing. And while you're thinking about that before you go do that you may want to write that testimony down and give it to your family or put it somewhere where they know where it is because at your death there going to be wondering what was dad's testimony. What was mom testimony what was sisters testimony. What was my uncle testimony you're at a funeral like within the been nice if the pastor could've stood up there and read the testimony of the person they were very absolutely. And the only way this can happen is in the only person that knows it is you, so why not write it down and which by the way, say, Robbie. Are you practicing what you preach as my testimony is written down at my website. It's called how I met God and is been there almost since the beginning and anybody ever wants to read how did Ronnie come to Christ there at all if it's in writing and of course my family knows where to get that as well. But what a relief it would be for your family to have that to have it in writing.

How about seeking out ethanol free gas stations near you, and then checking to see because guess what ethanol robs your engine of life and it also robs you of gas mileage so if you ethanol free gas station might be two cents more a gallon.

But if you get in informal miles to the gallon ethanol free gas. It may be saving you money so guess what, there's a website you can go to Christian Carter.com and find ethanol free web gas stations across the country and then seek out ethanol free gas station and it might save you money and certainly your car will be glad you did anything like I never forget such a thing going on the search when I I'm sorry.

Now there is a link to Christian card on the ethanol free gas stations and there is a there's a website that's all they do is collect them across the country and I know there's some in Texas and there's certainly a bunch of North Carolina that are ethanol free and they tell you where they are and no guess what you do as a way to do that because ethanol it does not get as good gas mileage and it does wear out the seals in your engine and stuff like that a lot sooner because it's it's a constant flicker moving along. Here's a couple more establish a plan with your team drivers. You know that they all the studies that parent parents that have a plan with their teens have a whole lot better. You know, accent experience with my keep, accidents, and then it actually goes another New Year's resolution is have you talk to your aging parents about their long-term transportation plans we have Rachel, George, and her patented dad's leg that is as old as me, so I guess my kids are my guess is that they're bad, you know, I've been thinking what is true. That goes right along with having because it is the best business plan. One could never have.

Proverbs I did that myself for a year and read a chapter, Proverbs, every single day and went back know there's 31 of the main course and November. You have to go by me, not November well in November, but I most certainly in February.

You have to make a little adjustment but rest of their 31 in your good but that that's a great thing to do and ingesting those Proverbs really is is an amazing thing that they can do. All of a sudden remind you how this is a situation know that that you that you find yourself in that one of the things that I did this year. Early on in the year was I asked.

I prayed, I asked God to show me a new way that I could expand the Christian Carter radio show and help other people expand the ministry part of it. I wanted it to have something where like Mike said that we felt like we are actually doing something tangible to help others and and it's interesting when you are really with your heart. Pray God to show you something like that he did in fact give me the idea for the Jesus's labor love program and I am shocked blown away by all the moms and widows that have been helped over the years by this program and and and it's just more than cool to see but it all starts with you know what you can ask God to show you this that you can do in a tangible way.

You kinda wonder what were they thinking because this would been so much easier if you input this police over here and if you would not put the air conditioning compressor so I had to take it off and and unfortunately the best suggestion I can give because I can't see the Ford in front of me is there. The maintenance manuals the repair manuals online and also so by actually googling and and you might be shocked there might even be a YouTube video believing out of somebody take off that water pump on that Ford but by googling Matt and I'm trying to take off that water pump. You'll be shocked at the information that that you can find their and if you do have the repair manual then it tells you step-by-step for to go take off this then you gotta do that so now that would be my suggestion on the on the circumstances, but the good news is we got lots of automotive listeners, Greg and if you if you stay on maybe some we also call in the know specifically what you might be running into is there a particular component that you can't get off paired yeah you do you have to yet to go through those belts one at a time and to get back to it and and there's just a procedure that again if you can get the maintenance manual at a make life so much easier because I tell you specifically.

Now the next boat you take off is this one you know it's, like those instructions. Christmas morning building tips to if you do the second one rock first then you getting to spend the next hour and 1/2 trying to undo it so that would be my suggestion.
