Welcome to the Christian Car Guy radio show the talk show dedicated to helping Christians buy and sell cars by the book, not the blue book knobby orange book, but by God's book, the Bible called the Christie car guy with your questions. 186634218663 for 87884 is being a Christian have to do with buying a car you're about to find out is your host Robbie Gilmore when did you play the Lone Ranger, the Lone Ranger, Superman, Batman, Spider-Man, one of they have always they all have this in common. They can all do it by themselves and they all wear a mask or at least the hidden identity question today on the Christian card. I sure when did you or someone in your family play that role. They try to do something alone that they didn't know how to do so they put on a mask and they pretended to be Lone Ranger, which by the way, I found out this week that Tonto is only companion you know what Tonto means in Spanish. It means full so is only companion was a full well were looking for years your store, your family legend, the time your dad try to fix the lawnmower award to do that brake job and the parts were spread out all over the driveway. He had to get your uncle to come over and help her.

Maybe it's a time that you didn't need a locksmith I can get into that car my own. I coathanger do the trick. We got lines open. We want to hear your story, 866348788486634 truth well is Gordon Darby points on his book. He pointed out his book, fathered by God, the world would lead you to believe that these superheroes are real men. They don't need any help just the way Satan likes it.

They would love you to try to do it by yourself to put on that mask and so you know, like everybody out there my own story, you may wonder how it is at that Robbie Gilmore Weston or somebody from New Mexico and Colorado ended up in North Carolina well and I have to tell you, it's my Lone Ranger story in Colorado in 1983 the price of oil plummeted and I was telling cars of the Chevy store in Grand Junction, Colorado, and when the price of oil plummeted. Exxon pulled out a Grand Junction because it wasn't worth mining and oil shale.

And they close down the middle of the night and so everybody left Grand Junction, I mean it was a massive Exodus because two thirds of population was employed by.

So we started re-pulling more cars. It is less Shellenberger Chevrolet than they were coming in on the hook every day we were getting cars and so it didn't take me long to realize I had to get out of Colorado and I've heard that North Carolina that the banking industry and all was here that the economy was stable in whatever side like okay we're picking up our stuff and we're moving to North Carolina and we had to rent up you know you hall kind of thing and we are going to leave in November with the thing about Grand Junction, Colorado. As you are on the western side of the slope of the mountains, and if a snowstorm comes in, then you've got to get out before the passes get closed. And guess what were loading the van, the snowstorm is coming up the column for like 3 feet of snow and I'm trying to get this van loaded so were loaded loaded looking cilantro because I don't I want to get out of town but we didn't good so I get the vamp totally loaded and everything all way to the back and then I need to hook on my wife. She had a 1977 Grand Prix I need to the hook on her car so I go to Mike this my first wife, Michael, Debbie, get the keys to your car as she looks. I will never forget as long as the house because she had left the keys in a box in that box. As you may know how you load a moving van is in the very very front of the truck. So this is where Robbie decided to play Lone Ranger you hear me coming. I don't need a locksmith to come get me a key for this talk. This is where I decided hey I'll just pull out the garage because I'm telling the guard on this so in the car anyway. So why do I need to have the driveshaft it will be free to go by take the driveshaft off. I put in the back of the truck and I'm like okay well the steering wheel locked so you know the snow is starting to come down and is starting the plow and I'm oh man, I got I got the steering wheel unlocked and I'm finally end up pulling the cover off the front of steering wheel and they got these little metal like fingers that hold and you know what I'm talking about holding the lycopene actually take a screwdriver and I cry out every one of the middle so they clear the little know what what it wasn't what they locksmith could have done easily and 20 seconds, you know, I spent too rapid what the snow is coming down. I finally got all the fingers out wheel can turn freely because it's got a pull behind and I hooked up, and off we go across the mountains right. What I didn't know was that my grandmother's private African was in the front seat of the car and I don't know when some point in time on the trip from Colorado to North Carolina. This fingers and picked up my grandmother's prized handmade African and if you can see me inside this car bill is something that you will never ever ever forget because it was covered in lint. There was no more. You could when you open the door.

It was like just clouded with lint because Mike might grandmother's prized African admin with all over that car for the whole trip soon. Lone Ranger rides again. Now I know you got a story like that and we would love dear 866-34-TRUTH 866-34-TRUTH 8788 force number to call him again. We would love to hear your Lone Ranger story.

Maybe the stuff of your family legend, the time your uncle try to put a clutch that VW 866-34-TRUTH 87884 in the course this morning is the first Saturday of the month so we got Jesus's labor love up and we got our care bills. One of those para-bills is Bill Kratz Carolyn mobile service Sayville good morning boy guilty. I learned mask I will tell you my wife tells me that all the time.

She reminds me seek wise counsel sees why didn't you asked for help. I've got that memorized now so the Lone Ranger rides again. When did you try it. 866-34-TRUTH 87884 other care bills for the parable is part of Christian insurance guy Bill Mixon good morning everybody. What you got force. Well, I was thinking about the situation. I remembered when my daughter was diagnosed with leukemia and was in the hospital and we found that health insurance company was demanding take.

Relocate or two hours away and my wife was sharing with me is just absolutely sure that we need stay will we were even a work in my head was spinning.

Now remember, remembered that with counsel and I called my Tuesday morning Bible study group fellows on prayer on the 90 prayer I wanted to talk a little bit about how that transformed our lives hell.

I know some insurance is good stuff for you are stating for that, by all means, and of course being a labor love, we can we get to kill our case, our volunteer workforce helps these single moms and widows across the country to Jesus's labor love that's where we have that car repair and we've got some new requests that happen in Kentucky on Louisville and Allen Island also supply certain hear from Vic at the next break and then an appraisal by the real Blackfoot.

That's where we search the Bible for hidden treasure crowd for the sermon lift up her voice for understanding last night I went to Matt Mark concert and many of you may know his song, your grace is enough. Well, between the songs. If you ever have a chance. By the way to go to Matt Mark concert because he is to walk with the Savior that is unbelievable and he explains kind of where these songs came from and you know how the Lord was speaking to him about certain things well that song. Your grace is enough has some to do this Lone Ranger story and my own son was son-in-law was diagnosed with leukemia this week and so the Lord is just been teaching me a great deal about the Lone Ranger stuff this week and I'm sure that, not shown appraisal by the real Blackfoot of course we this this this whole show man is about you. We would love to hear your lone ranger story today's question when did someone in your family and maybe it was you and try to be the Lone Ranger.

The time I thought I don't need a tow truck. I've got a perfectly good rope 866-34-TRUTH 8788 force number to call in order to digitally gifted 866-34-TRUTH how about the time you thought I can touch up that spot on my car right no problem. I just became a touch up paint it looked perfectly fine. Love to hear from you 866-34-TRUTH truth. I don't need a locksmith. All I could put this water pump on I can do that brake job. Oh yeah, we'd love to hear your family legend 866-34-TRUTH 878848663487884 got David in Richmond. These got a story force David, you're on a Christian Car Guy show them on the 94 Nissan brightly burning so you know, the book called Cornell to civil way, it was good that bulldog but it took me eight hours. I've been there we've done that a few times and I see that I would work in Richmond. I worked in in 1985. What you are doing okay.

I was the GMC truck manager up there.

So you where did you work in Richmond at the time because the price lot not Richmond pricing about my life in Richmond.

I have to work so thank you David God bless you and appreciate you and all right you listed Christian Kardashian. We would love to hear your lone ranger story wends the time that you can imagine, Bill your can replace the main bearing and ranch. I can imagine. Take that man you and I will tell you that books are not always right based on views of every single day no. And the thing that always gets is you need this tool. I left my learning. Well we got to kill. What is our labor love volunteer Downing quavering in North Carolina.

Love is free car repair labor for single moms and widows in a crisis. So if you it's not necessarily single moms and widows. Now we've expanded it, but if you know of family, a situation that is a crisis and you need some help. We we got one in Des Moines Iowa right now.

We got Louisville to and who was our guy down there. He does a great job, but nonetheless did we was he able to get it did to him and that and people think they really enjoy doing it. Last night when I went to that map Mark Marquand concert at Mark concert I'm I'm walking through the door and this guy gives you the Christian message because Cameron and I feel bad about this project and remember his name. I asked my friend from Winston-Salem that came from South America that you always connect with Vicki.

Remember him as a Spanish accent part of me, Patricia.

That's it. In the I feel bad. My memory yes Allegra's and he was he was tell me that he worked on to this and if you have one this week to a bills bills here with us Bill Kratz and Carolyn will blossom. Not one vixen email really got the data Friday sauce call Monday and get a new guy got off real millwork that is true. We meditate. That's right.

You're the guy you were there waiting on me when I came he was my my loan.

Try to use the Lone Ranger truck salesman Vic was the Lone Ranger. He was the truck department at Hayward Clark. When I am here how close it. Thank you, Vic. We appreciate the update and keep up the good work buddy to do the same again.

The Jesus labor of love program is free car repair labor for single moms and widows across the country, wherever we have radio stations we the large but blessed us with 20 different outlets and we can't do everything is just if labor not parts. In some cases were able to help even of those needs, but you know you got a crisis. That's what were about. That's what we love to help you out with and it's amazing how the Lord provides every time for the yes we we are able to accomplish pretty much everything needs to be done. I know Vic still got a bunch out there but it's a great feeling really is the real help people as much as we possibly can so you have the situation where you didn't have the tool or where you try to Lone Ranger interview was a pride thing BMW Vana system variable timing system time and got timing chain guides were bad replace the timing chain guides and I did not realize I read the manual, but I knew I had it figured out their special tools and there's an art timing variable timing in a BMW Vento system so I messed with it.

I messed with it. I finally got the clue. After about a week that I need to call in some reinforcements. I was the Lone Ranger had the mass gone got real frustrated after about a week. I got a story to call with years 866-348-7884. When did you try to play it or somebody you know maybe you got on your your family, or father, uncle, some 866-348-7884. Welcome Rick with my brother and his wife and my nephew and other data related. We will even my nephew went really well and my brother offer that we get to but I do want the door that might be funny.

Got back to us through the answers short break and when we get back the old boat out of the water to those hopefully we won't get something when we come back we love to hear your Lone Ranger experience, 866348788 fair for 7884 and go to Christian Car Guy.com. Find out all about the Jesus labor you're listening to the TruthNetwork.com and when you try to play Superman or maybe somebody in your family tried to put on the mask the secret identity and they were something that quite honestly we are and sometimes we would love to hear your story. 866348788486634 truth this your digitally gifted. We got Rick in Greensboro, North Carolina, and when we left our hero. He was with the boat quickly week life nephew back to Raleigh and offering to help and so a dark cloud only, and quickly saw drought about downtime to the.net pitch up the trailer back. My mom truck with a straight drop down into the water quickly so I just left you a moment of truth.

If you could repeat that for sure. So try to get it quickly the water so the truck trailer down into the water and leave it running in your choices strike and gone and the trucks are back to the water and jumped in the time I got into it that I was on the water and in the end of the concrete right up to where they were stuck in gear and a bike trailer drive the truck up another trailer completely underwater truck couldn't pull it up.

The only way to get that to go behind underwater lifted up so the wheels are now back on the concrete. Do that and I finally get up out of the water and start all over again on the balcony all the best things about nature before the Lord really begin to chase me and so is Rick.

I have to say that's the best one we've had some for thank you buddy that I know would brighten a lot of big bright mind all been there when we put on the mask and we try to be Superman mask. Thank you, oh my John yet. He might have the KT might John Eldridge calls it the poser in his book, while the part.

What we do and we think you know I don't need any help with this real man could do this was a real man but sometimes crisis breaks in that it and I'm a real crisis like like lymphoma or leukemia bill and you you have your own version. You sit there trying to figure out what God huge medical bills steered me in the face got my wife absolutely determined the best thing to do is to stay where we are praying that the storm I call my buddies pray for me and a few minutes later I get a phone call and the phone call from a dear friend who was a vice president health insurance and he says well write this down what in the world am I going to do with that will, if by chance the health insurance company with the hospital calls and says what can we do for you can research it and find that they can create a group insurance program for one person, one hospital, one health insurance at night about it.

I called the library. I gotta find the name of the present health insurance while on the phone with them. Email and emails from the health insurance company that is last name, first initial health insurance and made it we're going to have to move and I think you and I wonder if you, the president email is the last name in the first initial. I fire off a letter to the president of Celtic insurance. Attach a picture of my daughter and I tell them what the problem in the long story short, it worked out I got it the longest four hours of my life time. I found that my daughter had leukemia and had the worst kind of leukemia and try and forget how to do what I was what is God often sounds like I have since I've been married, God often sounds just like my, what an and quite often. I don't know what that is but your wife date they bring out that Lone Ranger and you know if you are real man you could fix the washing machine you know if your real man you could get this done.

Got a way to get the insurance agent that I can just tell you that the Christian Car Guy you know you we we run this occasionally where you know I got the mass gone completely and who can ever forget the time the customer called in. I think it was in with the BMW that was down and I mean animal sufficient card I mass I'll never forget him and the ladies going on about her car missing and I said what sounds to me like you got a bad my good friend Bill of ear points out Robbie BMWs don't have that model doesn't have wires sparked with the mass came off and the Lone Ranger had failed again. Anyway, I always had this philosophy may have built the machine I can fix it.

That's not a good thought of you have no machine I can fix it. What do you need to take my hat off to Bill. I've got a good friend of mine loads her car up with people that want to learn how to do chalk art and share their faith in the sidewalk, drawing pictures, story.

She had a carload of kids she was bringing down here to go to chalk art will and on the way her vehicle quit work and some guy she was writing all that underneath it started starter and got it started lady. You can't turn this car all is this you turn it on and start again. Well I was supposed to be on the show and the show at a tail ticket on the right, and I was at home and she called when one lasted. I know the perfect perfect ice to get you for the 10 o'clock Saturday morning. Even though Bill was on here broadcasting out of women's ugly his folks just were able to take care her all fixed up on the right heart get these kids where they needed to get and it was just day earned it a perfect Saturday morning and that and that's when you don't when you decide to take off the mask I can't handle this and make that kind of phone call that that says hey I need some help and you know that that works both physically and it also works spiritually, which is kind of a segue into our appraisal by the real black book.

You know that's where we search the Bible for hidden treasure crowd for the sermon, lift up your voice for understanding, and in you know Jesus made it pretty clear or so to Paul that we are in the body of Christ in there if you don't have a foot you know what and sometimes you need eyes that you don't have and sometimes you need a hand, and that's what were therefore in the half brothers in Christ is just is just so huge and as I mentioned last night I went to the mat.

Mark concert which my producer keeps tell me how to say my head. In addition, Bill and I couldn't see his last name write about.

Finally, the moment of truth introducing with this event. It was for the energized ministries, which is a pastors ministry to really re-energize pastors amazing stuff you find out about energized ministries at Facebook all over the place but I was at this concert and as I said, he pauses before each song the time to tell you what he was thinking when he wrote particular saw him and I gotta tell you when it came to grace is enough. A very and awesome song very popular. Obviously by Matt Mark. He pauses and he says you know when I wrote the song I was single and I was very lonely and it was almost like I was having this is tough thorn in the flesh thing and that's where the grace came in, you know, the flesh, but your grace is enough, he said. But the thing in this this I got this is so cool.

He said if you if you list the verses in the song says remember your people remember your promises. I got that out of the Psalms, he said, but for the Hebrews and I never knew this, that when they were saying. The Psalms when they said God remember your promises or remember your people and those kind of things there asking not because obviously God is not short-term memory problems is what they're actually saying is God.

Remember how you were physically present with Abraham, when you made the covenant.

In other words, he walked between the pieces in any was physically there with Abraham during the conference so covenant that he made with Abraham in large and that what they're asking is to have that personal physical presence of God when there asking you so when you hear the verses to that song with what they're saying is I can't do it alone. But guess what, and seed. Matt was lonely when he was writing this and and that's why he says remember your people remember because what he saying is I need here. I need got here personally will like Bill situation would leukemia this week. I found that my son-in-law has leukemia and is quite complicated actually because my my daughter and my son-in-law are been separated for quite some time issues real issues and my son-in-law was very, very, very alone because he here he had this new diagnosis in a way, when you get that Seaboard applied to your name.

It's sort of like now I may die, even complicated, more my son-in-law is not a believer and I hope he is. He might be now. But as of the point of this diagnosis.

I don't believe he was right and so another challenge were certain members of his family that were coming and the Holy Spirit just was. Tell me Rob, you need to make some phone calls to some family and it was my chance to be the Lone Ranger, but I said you know these are calls that I can but I can make my own and I am blessed to have some spiritual partners like these two guys sitting with me, but I've got several, actually Dan Kuhn who does mass and turning was when I called and I said they are not. I need your prayer because I'm afraid when I speak to this family member they be greatly insulted by my insinuation that they really need to come the hospital and you know he gave me some great advice on how to do that and he said I'll be praying or there is the results of that prayer you know it was like I just can't even explain the difference if I had not made that phone call because when I walked into my son-in-law's room the next day there was another relative that was sitting there and they looked at me and I said wow you have some conversation with this other relative last night. I've never seen anything get to him like that phone call and he was, that morning, but the point that I'm thinking is, it wasn't me that got to him. It was that prayer that my buddy lifted up for me being on the phone you see what I'm saying is, it is.

And again we all find ourselves in situations where we need somebody to make that phone call to us to show up to be somewhere we need to be, so I'm not pointing any fingers at all.

I'm just saying that when we need somebody spiritually and you go you know right now I really ought to call somebody again to pray for me rather than try to take on this. Whatever it is, it may be similar to that you know your boat or trying to figure out how to get the car behind the moving van you need to be able to pick up the phone and call on the body of Christ and say what a great time because what can really happen will be amazing well to continue on the story that same evening after other people and left the room with my son, were talking and all of a sudden he goes to Pierce's, I'm so alone I am so and you know I remembered my own bout with cancer and I thought how cool is this in and of God comforts us to fight. Bill has his experience and he could comfort anybody that's going through that leukemia thing in this comfort me just today, but for me I'm in a position to comfort my son-in-law in a way that nobody else could. And I was able to share with him my own faith and I actually said I said you know Chris when I went through this.

I wasn't alone because my relationship with Jesus and I know you may think that's really weird that I'd actually talk to the Lord that I'm actually not alone in your case is. I don't think that's where so an OPP plan for my son-in-law's name is Chris Davis okay and you know, I know those after listening he's got a serious diagnosis that he's got a deal with that is well you know an inmate he babies except I don't know this was earlier this week, but you know those things is who wants to be alone. You know when you could actually be there and have the Lord and I mean that there is gives you the ultimate because many of God himself said it is not good for man to be alone and so is it is a business owner bill you face this all the time right you got a vision with an employee, you got a decision with this that the other when you make that phone call when you decide to take off that mask and say you know what, I'm not alone write the time we got time for your story. We need that last story you gotta tell us that someone you know uncle Bill try the rope I don't know, 866-348-7884 the number call and we got plenty of time. We want to hear your. His grace is an wow the presence of God. If we just realize that you know he's there. Sometimes tapping on the shoulder, villains, and you know you don't need to be the Lone Ranger here and erect a little bit more like Tonto than you may think we talked about that earlier. Did you know that Thompson's management fooled I was. I guy got that out of the book, followed by God about man is so God is just, you know, it's amazing how you go into a week and God is teaching you all through this week don't do this alone. You're not the Lone Ranger you got all these people out there to help you. And if there was ever a week where I needed people in my life this this was another one of those where I wear it where it happens. Bill you got a pretty I think a very important story that needs to be told a friend whose husband to death in the hospital. I asked what it happened and she says well.

Our dryer had to squeak squeak squeak and my my husband decided to take some WD-40 and tried fix it squeak to realize that there's a hell of a pack of those guys and I hate laughing. If you have the project before it's a good idea to call somebody does with their diligence what you thought by a flammable liquid and very hot. That's why you need to get insurance is my so you know it's all part of taking off the mask and say you know what you know we were not able to do certain things, but the end of the day.

It's interesting how we want to wear that mask even when were were talking with an and and we need to be authentic that this is the real me and it all has to do with pride at the end of the day I ought to be able to do this should not and in that fascinating that the world paints the picture of a real man wears a mask and it blows my mind. You know it's funny because you don't normally come to the realization that you're wearing the mask to get to that point that you say whoops I shouldn't of done that or oh yeah building a little bit funny but in it true that Spider-Man was mask. Is it true that that Batman wears a mask or Zorro all these people that the real man wears a mask and that's in a real man can do all the stuff I wasn't myself. But you know it.

In reading that book fathered by God. He made an amazing he said if you want to talk to a real hero somebody threw themselves on a hanger in a bit, that when they find out what what it was that motivated those guys was it that they wanted fight for the country was it was usually their buddies.

It was the connection. It was the bond brothers that that led them to do to really do heroic things. I mean, these are the things that selfishness absolutely will we are blown away by this show sometimes and the people that call in the stories. I'll never forget the boat storage long and you can go to Christian car guy.com and log your story because we got them started) you just tell your Christian car guy.com. Find out all about the Jesus's labor love. We want to certainly think of her bills.

Bill Kratz and Carolyn mobile service Bill Mixon he's a nationwide agent here in Winston-Salem area and of course you know we want to thank her producer, engineer Mandler producers, Beth and I got her back this week. That's pretty exciting stuff for me and Stu Epperson had the vision to air the show we will always want to thank you but most what we want to thank you guys are audience listening to pray for us and then certainly we would covet your prayers this week for my son-in-law and remember you don't have to do this thing alone. You really don't slowed it. You're listening to the TruthNetwork.com
