I got force well story when I thought I am not brave enough to share this sound crazy, but it's true. Back in the late 80s I had just become a Christian within a month or two of that happening. Driving down a four-lane road and it had lots of right out of the side of it. Parking lot will turn out all right. Let parking lot billing and outcome in Emmett Road. It was only 5 miles an hour and I was gonna cart out one of those spaces and totally blocked my road and I was very very close to him when he did that and I just I just knew it was one of those moments of this is going to be an accident and I locked up the wheel and the car. My car started her family and hands them. I literally blacked out for just a moment I came back to my I came back to what was going on.

I looked in my rearview mirror and the parcels that Marinol is on the other thing in my car was straightening out and I was going on in my our notice. I drove on what what God completely help me avoid and you know I must like a kitty I guess he couldn't. He knew I could handle what he was just you get. That's why I knew I love this show because there are so many folks out there that they know what it's like when Jesus takes the wheel and it gives you the sense of well really has my back in ways I never knew so powerful Byron.

It actually wasn't too far from studio here and I was coming off about a week long crack binge I was a I was addicted to crack cocaine among many other things and I had exhausted all my resources. I honestly didn't have the will to live really touched me here not collar talk about that lady that committed suicide because I really in my mind that I didn't want take my next breath and so I got the idea that I would run my drug dealer and I figured one of two things would happen either.

I would succeed has more drugs and cross next bridge when I got to where I would not succeed with the probability thought in my mind and I would just be dead so I proceeded down in I did run my drug dealer and I actually thought that I have had succeeded and out. To my surprise, as I was beaten out of the neighborhood. I looked in my rearview mirror and nobody was chasing so I really I thought I made my heart was pounding right now.

Just think about heart was racing a million miles a minute and as I as I thought it was in the clear and I heard the first gunshot member. I don't remember if I thought it was a backfire or you just didn't didn't scare me, but then I looked in my rearview mirror and asked Saul is abandoned and they were.

She and then I thought, whether just trying to scare me and in the next shot rang out in my back window shattered and I realize they're not trying to scare me to try to kill and not drive as hard as I could with every shot more glass was flying. It was literally like out of a movie heard the man you want just. It was his slow-motion and finally, I couldn't control my car anymore now because it shot the tires out and so I just came to the side of road. The only thing I need to do is just play dead and so idea hunched over the steering wheel and I was playing dead and I remember thinking, this is the sound.and I heard the van stopped beside the car and I heard her two muffled voices at least two people talk back and forth and I remember wondering if I was going to feel the gunshot.

You feel the pain. If I was going hear the shot first or neither. If I was just gonna die now member thinking and wondering if mom hoping that my wife would live to my children and not tell metadata really got and they didn't shoot. I didn't get shot obviously but they they spent all so after after little while when I figured I needed to figure out how bad I had been hit in the blood I'd lost.

I came in I looked up and didn't see anybody so I started looking and rushing all the glass of an end to my surprise I have scratch on and as I was telling on the bright day. They later dug slugs out of seat. The seat that I was sick and below slugs had gone through every window and literally even in the dashboard and there is no explanation how the bullets went through the sea that I was sitting in into the dashboard without hit me. And of course I know God had a different plan and I wanted take my life and he said he was done with me yet so fast forward holding and this is an amazing story, really is. But we know that very shortly thereafter, you sought the Lord, you came to know him and now God is using this story all over the world you've had a chance to share through teen challenge and on the 700 club and you're actually not reach leader it when the churches are yes are you an outreach pastor at tri-Community Church in High Point and they allow me to go into the jails and teen challenge Bethel colony Mercy name is recovered really just places that are reaching out to people that they don't want take the next breath bound by chains and alcoholics and I just get to talk about his goodness and his grace and am not like what you said during the break. You said you know I deserve to be taken out. The car hitting the over open. I wasn't hurt, open the car door nothing but air to crawl back through the convertible window crawl up the truck.

So I went backwards, that space got 30 feet down. I rolled backwards all the way back down the bottom and there were these two big fenceposts that there was bought 116 knows no Barb Bartlett down between that land on the bottom right side up.

The car turned off. I was totally unheard, nothing I couldn't believe it. Know what happened and what it was. People were pulled over, came to get me down your time together car type will take a guess to rephrase and explode back up to the top of interstate and what happened is this young guy had stolen the car and he was weaving in and out loudly go on like 80 miles an hour call to talk to kick me car was up there turnaround backwards and got to the top of the hill there already. There was believe it is like fast-forward was already three highway patrolman, a van for life flight right there rate was like surreal.
