Welcome to the Kristen card I radio show showed dedicated to helping Christians buy and sell cars by the book book. Now the orange book, but by God's book, the Bible called the Christie car guy with your questions. 186634218663487884 is being a Christian have to do with buying a car you're about to find out as your host Robbie Gilmore tomorrow is Mother's Day and yes this is the Christian car guys show we have some amazing oil information that could save your cars life. But again, tomorrow is Mother's Day. So, what an opportunity for me to honor my mom and it's my hope that throughout this morning and this today show, you will call in and honor yours.

We have lines open. We'd love to hear your mom story 866-34-TRUTH 87884 as a number calling to do that but I really do need to share that my mom was recently diagnosed with breast and bone cancer. So we desperately need your prayers for my mom and for our family as we walk through this. So I wrote this piece this week and I'm very excited to present it to my mom in Tennessee tomorrow morning in person, but first I want to honor her on the air and it's called encomium of mom now if you're like me you never heard a word encomium, but I'll try to come up with something really cool to say and I started looking up adding on tributes have the kind of cheesy so I went to the synonyms and of the thorax, authorities or whatever. I came up with this Greek word will my mom studied Greek, so I thought it would be cool to use encomium's so encomium to mom. As the years passed some of the things come into focus, while others grow dim here in my 57th year. I still flourish in the love of mom after parenting for children myself.

I now understand that turning gets tougher. The older your children get really a lifetime job that requires grace, love and encouragement.

It's one thing to bandage a broken finger, but quite another to walk with an adult child through a broken heart, spouse cheating, divorce and custody issues, or for that matter. Just keeping in contact with the child that thinks they can go it alone. The baby seal. Once isolated from the pack is easy prey for the white shark. How did mom know how to stay close without me pulling away. How is it that I always knew she was there for me yet never wishing in my way, how did she know what to pray. As I ran away from God. How did she keep quiet when I moved to Los Angeles Albuquerque Savannah Houston Austin Grand Junction Charlotte Richmond Greensboro Raleigh and finally Winston-Salem. Funny, I don't remember her saying are you out of your mind moving so many times uncanny.

Is it so it is I so desperately need that kind of wisdom for my own children, to this very day. My mom listens to my radio shows every week.

She has always been my biggest fan and to hear her say great shows today.

Sign means as much to me now is when I rode the bench on the seventh grade basketball team and I could hear a cheer when the coach put me in my mom seizing me what God put there and she has always called about encouraged it and cherish my heart yes she was mom of the year in Chicago in 1965 when I was 10, but so much more than that she's the mom of the century now to keep it up through the turmoil of 47 more years of life's battles her own divorce and disappointments. Yes, God truly blessed me with something special with my mom and the clarity of that grows more evident with the years. Okay, I honored my mom now it's your turn, and we would love to hear your encomium of mom 866-348-7884 or for the digitally gifted 86634 truth and we do have some amazing information to share with you today on the oil and we have our very own Tom slicked back with us this morning with JG lubricant services. We actually tested old Reds engine, transmission, and rear axle at 345,000 miles and the results are quite enlightening really. And somebody may sway his and we want to share those insights from what we think could possibly save your bacon, or perhaps allow you to make that trip to Florida with confidence this year. Welcome Tom hello I was mesmerized by listening to your story about your mother and I like that you're looking at a picture of my mom's letter to Goodyear article this morning on Christian Car Guy is a bit flustered.

Just get right. I know your parents were in radio and so you know in in light of it being Mother's Day and here's our opportunity since around the radio to honor our moms wanted to just let it fly sure my wonderful mother is in heaven now under the Lord care. She went there in 2007 on June 2 but she lived a nice long life she got to be 87 years old.

She was the radio entertainer in earlier days. She grew up in the little town total, one in Iowa which was the railroad great Northern railroad. Anyway, she left there met my father at KM MJ in grand Island, Nebraska where they were both radio entertainers mother played the accordion landmark guitar and my dad played Evelyn just about anything that had strength and he was the stage manager leave at the time they way they met and that and played on the radio there and they were also on the BNA act and South Dakota. They really had to quit when I came along in 1949 giving away my age today. I know what I remember about my mother is and my father. They were they were both Christian folks and I thank God every day for having Christian parents they raised me right in and you know not sure I can quote the verse, but it goes something like this train up a child in the way that should go and when they get old they will depart from, and the and that that's really how do you like I straightaway little bit when I was in the airport and in my younger days I golly I came back and I think the parent that I'm a Christian man today because the mother raised me right and she was always there for me.

She was a stay-at-home mom and my mom was a stay at home mom to so much appreciate that she was the great Christian woman and she enjoyed her reward with my father in heaven. School well you have your tribute on hand you give us a call 866-348-7884 is a number to call you and share 866-34-TRUTH Tom now. We got some cool stuff to talk about with old red and his and in and in the oil situation here. We we found some surprising results in effect, they correlated well with the what you thought you had been going on in your and I think you want to get into that I'll be willing in a minute but I want to share with our listeners when we get into that that there's some really comforting things that you can find out. And there's also some interesting things that you that you find out that you need to work on so were to be talking a lot about that in the course with, or praised by the real black book. That's where we search the Bible book for hidden treasure crowd for discernment, lift up your voice for understanding this will come up at the end of the show and I was thinking you know when you look deep into your oils.

Chemical makeup. There are all sorts of issues there that you now know that you need to deal with. Well, last Sunday I took a deep dive into my heart and I found out that although I had a tremendous head knowledge of grace. My heart wasn't quite where my head what I was reading this book by John Eldridge called the utter relief of holiness, which I highly recommend and in his discussion of condemnation versus conviction I realized that I had some real heart trouble here and I created a simple little test like the oil analysis test for myself and I want to share that test with y'all coming up in the show in our appraisal by the real black book hi, I'm Robbie Gilmore, the Christian card I 35 years. The automobile business but more importantly your brother in Christ and the Christian card I show we pray is changing the way people look at their cars. They need to be paid for no debt watching people buy cars for 35 years going in the slavery of huge debt was a real heartbreaker and one of the reasons we started the show and cars made tender loving care and they need a name like old red if you think about it. You see old tractors a bit on the element since the 40s there still running what you think. Well truth is if you maintain a car last as long as you do.

And cars need to be safe and driven safely. Wear your seatbelt and don't speed if you're truly following Jesus. If he was in the car ahead of you. Would you be speaking. It's estimated that Americans waste 200 million gallons of gas a week. Yes that's right 200 million gallons of gas a week or wasted on speeding again. This is a live show so please call in with your question. Your suggestion or of course today and we would love to hear your encomium for your mom, 866-348-7884 and since we have Tom slick you're obviously if you have that oil question. It's also great data call in or perhaps you have a tip for a listers. We'd love to hear from you again the number 866-348-7884. Now, if you go to Christian card. I.com the website.

There you can see the encomium's of mom that I wrote. But wearing a seat you'll see old red oil analysis and Tom's own personal story to an extent, to share a little bit in his testimony.

I'm sure you luxury that course of Jesus labor love free car repair for single moms and widows and podcasts from previous shows right now I need to hear your mom strip you need to hear your encomium 866-34-TRUTH 788.

Who could forget that show from the sixth Jerry van Dyck my mother that it's Mother's Day tomorrow. Mario and tomorrow, so we are sharing today on the Christian card I we would love to hear your encomium your high praise of your mother. If you want to share that on the day we would love to take your call and 866-34-TRUTH 878-848-6634 truth.

The number to share. We are also talking oil analysis, and as you may recall a few weeks ago we had Tom Johnson on with JG lubricant services and actually calling Tom slick here which revocable picture of Tom slick and expendable gray slapper will play that some gunmen up but what happened. We talked about oil analysis and is a very inexpensive way to test your oil to see what may be going on with your engine and so after last last show after last time Tom was on. They sent me these kits and so I went out with the vacuum pump is very simple really. The process to extract the oil out of my engine and old red which is if you can relist the show before old red is a 1995 Dodge Dakota.

I've driven for many many years. In fact, for more years and my daughter spent a lot.

She gets in the car. The only guy I've ever known you to and it has 345,000 miles on it. Now that's this is the second engine but it certainly does have three and 45,000 miles on the transmission and 345,000 miles on the differential so we took oil samples from the engine.

We took oil samples from I extracted it with their handy vacuum pump which again this is an inexpensive way to test Vista. I got it out of the rear axle and I got about transmission and send it off and it's it was a mixed bag of results that we got right Tom, why don't we will start with the good news. The good news is old red at 345,000 miles. I was excited. The transmission shout and in which, by the way, if you go to Christian card. I.com you can see all these results, but the. The report showed normal on old red rear axle and their transmission. How exciting. Yes, it came back in good shape. We saw the I've got the sample. For the transmission of this conflict good. The activation of good.

We see little iron where but that's normal. But sleep that you have 345,000 miles on that you're only showing 250 ppm which is very very low of nine and little bit of aluminum which is probably coming could even be the original debris floating around from when they manufactured the case and their axle showed a little bit less. It wasn't quite as normal as the transmission right so but then we look at the engine as well. So the transmission and the and the differential it just fine and in I would recommend that you just sample that annually.

And that's what we typically would recommend that not a whole lot going on expired contamination not merely of what going on inside and engine, so this is late. Recommend sampling yeah you might be driving right now. Maybe a car has 2000 miles on it maybe has hundred 50,000 in your thinking G should I go on vacation to Florida this year. Should I go on vacation to Alabama wherever you think about driving will my car go the 3000 miles will it go without having to transmission problem with Atarax a problem. Well the good news for me is even allowed red has three and 45,000 miles. I could confidently jump in old red and drive to California just based on on the engine and not on the engine but on the transmission in their axle. So those are two pieces of information that were necessary for that part of the equation, but you might find out that kind good news about your engine as well. Again, this is a simple test with JG lubrication. You just take this vacuum pump and it takes alarm strength. Tom honestly and I did find out that the duration said he really need to prime the pump that was really good advice and there was another piece of advice that they shared which was that that this tubing which comes with a lot of tubing and have to put new tubing and with every sample and it really is helpful not to use all that tubing since I was filling this much tubing with all this extra action I could've made it to the a lot shorter and not had done quite so much pumping right Tom infected with our kits. We shipped the tubing with it and tubing it, like a needle. You never want to reuse it because you get cross-contamination. Every kit contains a piece of tubing minutes 8 feet long. We do that because some dipsticks can get pretty long, especially when you have a big RV. We have a lot of RV customers and some of our big diesel pusher with occult diesel pusher for class a motorhome.

Dipsticks can get up to 6 feet long. We decided to go with an 8 foot length and certainly in most cases bring engine and insert micro differential.

You could cut most of that away. We typically recommend just measure your dipstick and there are videos showing this on our website. JG lubricant services.com bit that certainly recommend that you cut to length measured your dipstick and make it about a foot longer tubing.

You need to get so the idea here is to see you know an inexpensive way to see what kind of issues it's like getting a blood test.

If you're in a hospital, you know we got a blood test for old red. We got a blood test for transmission of blood test. First is differential so that you can see potential issues that you may have and catch them really before technician I could ever catch them as will talk about in the engine here in just a second, but if you have a question for Tom or you have that encomium for your mom. We would love to hear your 866-348-7884 is the number to call in 86634 truth. This is a live show we got lots lines open and we would certainly love to take your call now.

Tom, the engine was a slightly different situation in which was fascinating to me because let's just set the table here for minute it is. As you may know, we use Amsoil and the because this was a rebuilt engine, the manufacturer had suggested that I use a heavier weight oil and so we used Amsoil synthetic 20 W 50 and this oil was supposed to be good for up to 15,000 miles but certainly 10,000 miles and it came at a special oil filter so you could go this this long and so the point that we tested old red here were 5000 miles and in other words, we we change the oil at 340,000 miles an hour at 345,000 miles and this is the point that we did this test so the oil based on what Amsoil recommended. Should a clearly been good to go for another 5000 maybe even 10,000 miles but that just wasn't the case wasn't Tom or Robbie again as you pointed out, actually previous report on the Christian Car Guy.com but we found a couple thing but personal good news is that that there's really not a whole lot where going on inside the engine. We don't have to share those those contaminants and some other things only come back you can hear the results of old red, please. We would love to hear your encomium for your mom. We would love to hear your question for Tom.

We have 20 lines open. It is a live shows of you.

Call us at eight 663-487-8840 could hear the conflict thing when we come back here to calm famous show may have been gone for 30 years but we have conflict with us today with JG lubricant services were talking about oil analysis and what you might learn about your car, but we also, since tomorrow is Mother's Day, we are talking encomium of mom. We would love to hear your high praise of your mother with mother Mother's Day being tomorrow and you can call us again at 866-348-7884. Now, if you have not happened to have picked up your Mother's Day present yet and you're trying to figure out what would be a cool thing. I do need to share this little story that you know Mother's Day maybe 1961 in 1962. My little brother had made in preschool. This block of wood that was supposed to hold a recipe card. I told this story before but knowing my mom on and I could never oddly know this is been obviously 50 years ago, so I don't remember what I gave her but I remember that when she opened up this package for my little brother who at the time was for five and all it was was this block of wood with a little slip cut in it.

I laughed hysterically really mark how you could give her was a block of wood. Well, I am just going to share with you that my mother to this day he has that block of wood on her windowsill in her kitchen where she is been holding recipes for 50 some odd years and we never know what Robbie gave my mother back in my 61 or whatever here was so when you're thinking about Mother's Day gifts. I'm just saying I will simple block of wood loose linen and goes a long way when those things that I wouldn't forget that we would love to hear your encomium of your mother. Maybe a favorite Mother's Day memory or you got a question for Tonya Collis 866-348-7884 866-34-TRUTH truth. If you're digitally gifted now. We left poor old red. We had around the operating tent that we had done a blood test we done this oil analysis would send it off at again in oh 5000 miles into a 10,000 mile oil and leaf. We found some stuff that was little bit disturbing and what was that now Tom will we found that contamination from coolant internal coolant leak, probably from a could be just a pinhole leak in the head gasket and we picked that up by looking at the sodium and potassium which are salt left over from coolant that they ram in the oil and so when we look at oils we use what are called mathematical algorithm. These are models of what an oil should do. Over time, given a certain engine in a certain type of oil and if we see the contaminant level go above the values that are building the model then we alert folks out to you know the abnormal reading and in your case, they're pretty darn abnormal which sodium and a lot of So what I think we deftly got a coolant leak going on inside your engine out.

The good news is that the engine hasn't think that yet. It's not beginning to wear or anything like that so this is a very low level either parts per million and that's how accurate the Star but the other part is if I'd been the normal consumer right just drive around my Amsoil that go 15,000 miles on the road to change my oil at this point, I never would been looking for an antifreeze leak because it's so minute. It's not using any antifreeze in you know there's no bubbles coming up in the radiator you not seen that kind of thing but were seen in the oil at this point. Early on, where rather than end up with a crack because loan head gasket can lead to some major stuff including you replace the whole engine but along those lines. Some of the other things that you found in their that really surprised me was the oxidation because again, this was supposed to be a 15,000 mile 10,000 mile limit that little bit. Robbie still under investigation point. I know on the report online. We talked about the direct patient and I think at the time. If you'll notice on the report. Robbie forgot to grab a forget to tell us what kind of oil. What my suspicion was that it was they bicker pathetic oil. We could have been tricked in this case, which sometimes happens you get a false positive and and this is a good point Robbie, if folks don't tell us what kind of oil. It is in this case you didn't, that's okay will forgive you of that brother, but I think we need to we need to go back now that we know that the Amsoil 20 W 50 it may not be oxidized but still may be good not affected contaminated means that it probably does need to be watched very well, but the oil itself may still be getting here is my point.

If folks look online. Your report the oxidation we flagged oxidation by what's called FT IR.

You don't have to remember this Fourier transform infrared scanning. I remember that because what this shows the peaks and valleys and and we feel we find a big peak at a certain wavelength and we think that the oxidation in this case it could be.

I feel additive added to the Yampa product and so a good thing to do is always and we probably have the soil in our database, but at the time when we sample we couldn't pull that because we didn't have information so once we know that it is the oil will compare with what the oil is as new and different public could show us that the bike were seen in oxidation under the infrared scan is equal to the new oil. So that may negate the patient but just as benefit. Why is oxidation bad in oil while I not want my weld oxidized that well it looks go back to basics real quick what this test primarily does two things that it looks at the oil itself to make sure that is correct, not thinning out. It looks at oxidation to make sure that it can still take the oxidation of the natural process that occurs in the world and if you look at some of the five on our website.

Once you provided on your is that kind of explains that a little bit you take a bite out of an apple and a seven on the table turns brown. That's oxidation that oxygen attacking the surface of the apple and connecting with the molecules of the apple and turn around thinking up the oil they oxidize with time because the molecules break apart make contact with oxygen and become oxidized, per Dr. Oz may be on TV talking about antioxidant the same thing oil have antioxidant building. The two attack the gap of the buildup in oil. So anyway, we look at oxidation. We look at the Scott backtalk station because I had to get a little bit though. But so when the oil becomes oxidized, it can no longer take the heat is what you said fermenting NI engines get.

They run a… Somewhere around 210° nowadays and so and oxidized oil at 210°.

What's it doing versus one is not oxidized well. It contained oxidized, don't let that little bit what happens in the oxidation processes that no longer becomes an oil it eventually turned into. Take what we would call which means that the oil itself have contacted act in the all the molecules are broken apart and become very very acidic and the more that goes on the more acidic it get not linear, it gets faster and faster than vinegar instead of oil well you think the old commercials where the guide pointed out that look like mayonnaise or shoe polish that barely oxidized oil and so it's like it is very acidic and it can do. You know it can have my lubrication right right thought it can no but you say you know the end result is that really no longer oil. It turned in a very acidic very acidic thing that living in your engine. That's why we watch oxidation now typically an oil will get thinner before it ever gets to the point where it oxidized and in the end of the thing I'm looking at here in your report is that the base member is still relatively goodness, what leads me to think that may be a false positive on oxidation on your report, but will check that out. The base number. Let's look at that minute, theft and oxidative oxidation indicator when oils are made, they have their they are over. Based meaning they have a lot of faith and if you look back to your chemistry days may be had in high school.

Base neutralizes the method and vice versa. So oils have a lot of faith in them. So when oxidation take becomes athletic. The PBM of the total base number dropped with time because it's trying to neutralize that in your case the base number we didn't like it. Still high, indicating that this may not be oxidation. So let's not. Let's not say that they Amsoil is going south right now. That may not be the case for that show. You know is what we found out and that we don't often get tricked in the give-and-take they would get tricked because we really don't. But she still has the positive right and we just have to check that out that here we are driving around in a car that we think we're good to go to 15,000 miles and we've only driven five but just based on the contamination that was an oil from the from and again it might've been contaminated by fuel and other things and that's one of the things that they oil lamp analysis test in is is a consideration for engine wear and and those kind of thing so I think that it's it's cool to know that wow there is a way that you can give your car a blood test and through this blood test you can find out these kind of things which, again, if you go to Christian card. I.com yes, you'll see the economist tomorrow about their topic is on honor my mom but below that is what talks about what the oil analysis can detect it talks about what happens when good oils go bad.

It shows about the contamination and shows old Reds report. So again it for any of that information to go to JG lubricate services website and and get your own test or whatever all that stuff that Christian card. I.com now are to move into our appraisal by the real black book.

That's where we search the Bible for hidden treasure.

Cry out for discernment, lift up your voice for understanding, now we've been talking for the last good bit about when you look deep in your oils. Chemical makeup.

There are all sorts of issues that you now see that you Mike and deal with last Sunday as I was reading this book by John Eldridge the utter relief of holiness as I was reading that book I took a deep dive into my heart to see what might be there as far as my understanding of grace and I was shocked with what I found. Condemnation versus conviction. I realized my heart was still trouble here and you know it at the beginning of John 14 is a wonderful little statement that Jesus makes to his disciples right before he's going to cross. He says don't let your heart be troubled, which John Eldridge makes a great point you have a choice as to whether not your hearts be troubled. But, so I created a simple test for my heart so would Mitchell on-site sort of a Cintas to see was I condemning myself or was I under conviction when I sent so here's the simple test and and you could do this yourself.

You don't have to send in it.

You don't have to take in a vacuum tube in and take an open letter to simply take a piece of paper in your next quiet time and write down two columns. One of those columns right condemnation and love those columns right conviction now under those columns. I want you to write out what you actually really do say to yourself when you sent when you when you just send what is it that goes through your mind, what are you saying to yourself and and then try to write those out and place them in the columns. What you think that whether not that's conviction or condemnation now for me to be a bear wasn't looking too good when I took my own test, it is. It sounded like this where I was using words like really Robbie, are you never going to get this right or don't you know the consequences of this will mess up your family, your bringing demons into your own home or not.

I feel so bad coming to you with this again is this like the 47th time that we've had this discussion. Yes, my self talk was found in the condemnation clock. Most of what I said when I sin sounded like condemnation. I wonder if you really took time to write out what you save yourself when you sin.

If it sounds like condemnation or does it sound like conviction. Of course, Romans 81 says there is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. So what about conviction. What is that sound like what you say to yourself that would be the right thing within the Robbie God is 57th time we've had this discussion when we come back we'll talk about self talk of conviction, plus more from Tom slick thought more Christian card I show, and there isn't any kind can about oil and oxidation in all sorts of stuff, but how about sins oxidation, how about condemnation. What is yours self talk how you talk to yourself when you sin when you're condemning yourself versus when you are under real conviction, conviction from Lord versus the condemnation, that the enemy will share with you what is what you really talk to yourself like when that's going on and I shared a minute ago that with me when I took my own test I wrote down these words condemnation and conviction. I found that my self talk sounded like are you never to get this right. Robbie, how many times as you get to blow this. Why can't you get a handle on.

You know and and that's all condemnation and that's coming from where I the father of lies and whose father you on this on this and do, but when I went over here and I said okay now what should I be saying I wrote down my conviction. Now what should that sound like how should I be talk to myself and realizing that I need to run to Jesus for forgiveness. That's what he offers. He offers forgiveness. So what should that sound like and so I wrote down you know I am so glad you died for this Jesus, let me come in your arms and be forgiven. I want to be holy I want to be whole again. I know you offer that I know you died for that.

So cleanse me and make me the way you really wanted me to be here.

The difference between the condemnation and the weapon conviction should sound like what real conviction should sound like. So you know there you go you write it down in your quiet time over the next couple days. Write down your own little acid test so to speak of what is condemnation what is your self talk. Sound like condemnation versus conviction, but as we talked about this is encomium's of mom and his mother stays tomorrow and so I brought somebody in the studio here has something heat. You know Larry George the host to replace missionaries call home.

He is going to share will encomium himself a little high praise of his mother, like say happy birthday.

I mean, happy Mother's Day today to my mom and Marie. I know you're listening to the program that I love you. You know that song that Bette Miller did the wind beneath my wings. My mom is one of the greatest encouragement that I have ever had my life she's my cheerleader. One of the I'm one of nine and she's always treated us each special never, ever, has she ever condemning always encourage me just a great lady and that cool and you still have time to get your in. If you want to call us at 866-34-TRUTH 87884. Now Tom isn't it interesting how this oxidation thing I'm thinking about how this all sludges up my own condemnation is been sledging up my heart. I realize I had a choice that I could not do that would be under proper conviction. I I like you to. I'm into.

I know you get around the focus that you not all that sin and fall short of the glory of God and that and we need to test that everyone was talking to, and there's a cleansing that's available. Very similar like an oil change. Now if you go into the right conviction. Jesus is ready with his very own form attend W 40. Maybe it's 1030 Tom I don't know if it's clean gives you new filter and away you go cool is that. So we want to thank you all for listening to Christian card show today hey all kinds of tests are available at Christian card I as well as podcast if you can get here.

This whole show today.

What about oxidation, oil, or maybe you wanted to hear my own encomium of my mom. You can go to Christian card. I.com get a podcast the entire show. Certainly want to thank Tom for being with this is so great halftime site slick back with us today and in terms testimonies there Christian card. I.com as well as a picture of Tom that I personally father chopped into the thunderbolt gray slapper now if you forgot what the thunderbolt gray slapper looks like you go to Christian card data, see that as well. Remember what I was slow down. Jesus walked everywhere he went and got it all done in 33 years and how about this week doing your own self test. Write down those two columns and a part-time condemnation and conviction. How do you talk to yourself.

Remember, there is therefore now no sympathy in the Greek. That means no Larry, no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.

Thank you Philistine Christian card I sent
