The guys in the master bedroom show might pull my manpower left this, but I believe I really did want the great gifts that we have when you become more fully alive in Christ. As you have a better ability to laugh, but you also are given a better ability to cry because you feel life and you feel it in so many different ways. I'm really amazed that you pick this topic on the week that I'm here because some people may not think tears and junkyards get together but the I like what you said about is as you mature in and grow in your walk in the hell tears come a little easier and there's been there's years in the past. What I have. I would never let anybody see me cry.

If I can help in any way, but at this point in my in my journey is not a problem anymore and you know I've learned a lot about is a lot more room outside if you just let them tears flow. It just, it's relief.

This therapy is if is God's way of letting you get this stuff out and how many times that the just to get it out where the healing comes where the light touches the dark, so to speak, but also with us today we have Bob's wonderful wife concern the way to Bristol to a race but welcome Lori think it is so good to have you back on them. I this may be you know God put this on my card and argued with him actually really God you want me to talk about crying.

Yes, I want to talk but it may be.

This may be the story right here that lorries can share that is the reason I got has this but or maybe the story that you need to share it.

She told me the story and I thought well maybe that's the one that Lori, could you share that story for listeners sugar button actually pulling over to the South rate that many years ago when I was pregnant with my first son who is now 26 years old and the doctors told me that he was going to be born. After many tests that he was gonna be born either with spina bifida or down syndrome or some sort at on. He was on the mentally challenged and advised me at five months pregnant, that I should have him aborted and not have to go to Virginia because it was the illegal down here and I just pray to God and I gave you not to tell God has said he's he's yours in my way and you you can heal him or you can give me a child of your choosing and I was accepted it and I didn't worry about it much during my pregnancy every now and then I would unite I would think well when I get a day when man David continuously and I just I gave it to God and the day he was born in the nurses and doctors and everybody and they put in and I did as little Apgar scores and everything was perfectly normal and he is perfectly healthy and not one one iota of handicap. He's just perfect.

He was a miracle and the thing I want to say about that is the there's two sides to that number one. How cool is it that the doctors are practicing medicine and they don't have it right so they don't necessarily know its God is in control of those things but I teach a special-needs Sunday school class at my church and I have for number of years and I can tell you that had the those folks out there who have down syndrome children or they have children with autism are those kind of things they are a precious precious precious gift and so many different ways. You have no idea the joy that this class brings to anybody never comes and visits our class Bob Bill Soucy tears all see a lot of stuff because these people are a joy to be around. They have a childlike faith that come to Christ.

Some of Mark Vogel but it's it's an amazing thing. So I know that you got that story now and you share this young man is in Egypt right now serving our country and all yeah her son, her friend John. The very first thing that popped into my mind space with us headed to the race this evening was when Dale Earnhardt died. My son and I arrived and then arrayed in the you know we needed then in a crash with they came and broken on the radio and said that Dale Earnhardt and passed away in and we pulled the car over.

We were on Highway 52 between S. Main St. in Clemens Villa read and we pulled over right there and we held each other and we cried for five or 10 minutes. It was just something that really really really touched our lives in the that that was the first thing to come to mind when you said that.

But now I was with a little further thought. There's plenty others times that I shed tears that come to my mind to. And I got one myself. Which gimmick, transition us into coming up showing our appraisal by the real black book.

If you could go back to when you're 12 years old. What would that one thing be well. Along those lines, and I'm assured my other story about crying in the next segment but after I had this unbelievable cried. The sadness that came of the evil that I saw was something I was just compelled to tell my answer to my family and I wrote that out little thing I want to share that answer my answer. What would I tell a little which actually went by Bruce back most days because my name is Robert Brewster flexible called me Bruce and so what would I go back and tell little Bruce Gilmore that would really help him with his life. I think it's wonderful.

I couldn't help but just forwarded 50. Every time I turned around I saw somebody crying I was I was looking in my rearview mirror and there was a pizza delivery guy behind me and he was bawling and he looks so sad. And then I came in the work and a girl came by me and she was crying as she told us. I dunno if her boyfriend is brought and she was bawling and in all these different things. I talked to my son this week I had a chance to go to lunch with him and he had a friend in who is from Puerto Rico who took $10,000 Bob that these drug dealers offered him to make this little delivery that he thought it would be no big deal. I'll get $10,000 now he's in jail and he's in New York jail and a lot of tears involved in a lot of it just seem like the evil reached out and saw that it been on my heart.

And then yesterday morning. All of a sudden it happened and I'm share that story when we come back, but we need to hear yours, 866348788486634 truth. We got some tips from Bob at 109, but mostly were talking about when did you have a good cry when was that you pulled over the side of the road and you just had to break down and cry was I was telling you, Bob. I've been on this lesson plan for me on crying, I guess because everywhere I look this week. People were crying and I I was written a book by George McDonnell was called back in the north wind which is a children's book. It's just a wonderful book and I was exercising at the time on my bike and my exercise bike, and I was reading what seem like just as a harmless story and it talked about how this little very innocent boy who's actually been to heaven and come back from an illness in the story had gone to help little girl friend of his that was sick in the project, so to speak in and there was a policeman that had come up to him said you don't want to go down there that's dangerously said no. He said I'll go with you and he said no. I want them to see your will think I'm meddling in arm I can handle it so he was a brave little boy he went down there with a policeman followed because you know he could sense that this is not to be good here because this boy doesn't belong in this neighborhood and Neil diamond, which is the name of the character didn't see the policeman but he went down there and as soon as all these ladies saw him with those close on. They all laid hands on him to take the close consider going to give his close to their kids and as soon as that was taking place. The policeman started to walk up to been following the thing in a sentence. The lady saw the policeman they all ran, which left diamond sitting there and anything you wouldn't think that that would cause Robbie to just break down and I started to not just cry. I mean I was bawling, crying. I was I couldn't even tell my bike I was crying so hard and so I pulled over the side of the Exodus looks good will go. It I was just telling you it was bawling. It was embarrassing almost Bob that I was just like me and got a nice God, what is why is this touch my heart this way, why is it that I'm just calling like this and I was realizing that God had been that policeman in my life for all these years that I was walking in the situations that were terribly evil that I didn't know that I was getting involved in. And when people see God like that. They flee in and in its amazing thing to think and I just sat there and bald and bald and bald and and through that and when we get term appraisal by the real black book. I understood some of the things which we will talk about that but I want to hear your story winded. You say you know let's go for a ride GLI, my bet that you don't use more gas than you need, you will be much more calm you let push less on the accelerator pedal understand invite your best friend along with you is amazing.

You say that when we got in the vehicle this morning. I had been push push push cousin went to work. Then came back and had to get a few items related to gay now I just count the hyper one in the family and the high strung Linden and we finally got in and and cousins friends can be laid up here and we got here 30 minutes early and need to panic everything that Susan got in in there had already aggravated her pretty good by pushing and pushing and Dale hurry hurry hurry and we to stop for a minute forward, pulled out of the driveway and we said a prayer and ask God to help calm me down and give her more.

That wonderful amount a patient she has to put up with me. He does that. I mean, that's that's number one tip on the hit parade. By all means. It would amaze you. Well I not amaze you your my listeners. You probably know this better than I do. You can teach me about it, but that's that's number one on my list number two is timing and momentum. In other words, when use pull away from a stoplight is one of the times you use more gas than any other time so if you can see that that light may turn green a little bit why not just coast for a while till you get up to it so your car is that it come from a dead stop. You can you can see the lights and you can kinda know by the same token, if you know it's fixed to go read you Michael get ready for the yellow light and and and again don't lose that momentum because that momentum cost you much gas and then one of my favorite tips is always leave yourself more margin. Leave earlier expected take more time to get there. I did that today, when you leave earlier. You don't have the pressure to put your foot on the gas pedal. You don't and it's better for your nerves to.

I mean all things don't the trip that you think usually takes you 20 minutes. Give yourself 25 minute limit takes 10. Give yourself 15 or 20 to one that takes an hour. Give yourself an hour and 1/2 and guess what you will find the notes really can help you. Number four is keep track of your gas mileage. I do this really easily. Bob him to try to explain this my wife marbles what you really do do I do every single time I get gas. I only get 5 gallons. The reason because I'm not real good at math and I can simply divide by five so probably by 5 gallons are not put in extra weight. My car and then the second my gas light comes on. I push my triple number so that I have an exact time that I know that's consistent when I when my use the gas. So every time that that gas light comes on. I know at that point in time. I just used 5 gallons so I can look at the trip odometer. If it says hundred and 20 miles and I know old dreads getting 24 miles again like it should.

If he gets 116. I'm a little off, if only get 100 miles on a tank of gas.

I'm not doing too good.

I'm only getting 20 because old dreads capable of doing 24 so every time I get 5 gallons every time the light comes on. I push the button and then the second. That light comes out of the trip odometer and I can do the division and know how I'm doing that make sense yes or okay it's it's a little complicated but it works out great and I and I know it's a great tip if you need to carry around.

You know the airline saved billions of dollars by not filling up their planes as it arrived there flying away around with a bunch of weight, they didn't need to carry my showing up every single time it's going on a trip like you guys are going to briskly gun show up, but if you're not going on a long trip you give yourself a break and get 5 gallons and then my last hip which you could probably just if you know me well don't speed only 11% of the people of the United States admit that they don't speak nine. That means 89% of you guys out there are admitting that you do Speedwell. If you look on the website of done the math many times it basically is costing you at least if you go 5 miles an hour over the speed limit is costing you hundred and $92 a year at least the penny on the price of gas, but I would bet that it is at least $192 a year for the cost of your speeding you just take that and think what hundred $92 could do for the kingdom. So there's five tips for you real quick, and I'm still we got lines open so I'm expecting another to hear another tearjerking story, but we gotta get to Bob's tips. Here's a question for Bob. We hope to save you money because you know he's he's out there in the yard every day, my Christian junkyard guy. What kind of tips could he share with us or here's my question for Bob. What is the most common part that people come to buy from 109 you put we sale a whole lot of starter and alternator just is just something that's you we sent a bunch parts in general but seems like starters and alternators and taillights in headlines that the you think about the taillight lenses that are hundred and 50 box new or whatever, and the use taillight lens or nothing wrong with that and that's a place that she can save so much money and that because the new ones are outrageous.

I mean just completely outrageous and a new alternator, we did a little research for one the commercials one time and a brain. I won't I won't just give the brand of the car. But what a brand-new alternator for certain color $337, car and a very common car very common car where you know you can buy a bus for $35-$45 and cheaper if you go pull your own that's with the skin and this is so much savings available at eight at the yard and I know a lot of people are not right in this area, but please do yourself a favor give some serious thought to using a used auto part to replace the new stuff especially with glass right that's been my numbers. What's that one part that folks could save the most money.

They don't think about a lot of other estimates in a windshield and need a brand-new windshield, especially if you get it from the dealership is really going to cost you a door glass in the door glasses are very expensive unit. If you come out there and take your own stuff that you can get a door glass extremely cheap and just save and and even with us pulling it you can just the savings are astronomical. It's just a better way to get and most folks I mean almost 100% time cannot tell the difference in a brand-new glass and a used glass except by the price tag that that is the see-through… Pretty much glass in its original equipment that was originally equipped another car that another question I have for you and what brought this on the other day I drove to Snow Camp, North Carolina, and I was going down through the country and I was shocked. I saw somebody Bob slips Bob.

There was car after car.

In these yards and I was sitting there thinking about all this money that people had tied up, sit there and is just resting in the ground. I wish they would restore my wish they would do something to just let them rest Albert in the yard is crazy because they could be used that money for their family for the kingdom. And so, what's the average payout you know that car. That's another growing grass through the floorboard. The very first one very first got started. We used to pay $25 for the small cars and $35 for the big cars that was just not that big of a demand and and we were just, like cleaning up the town in the it was like a service and and people got a little money but nail these days.

Right now the very least we pay for any car that we go and pick up his $200.

The average is up to around 250 and for the great big what you call bobsled session-that you still remember that because very it's remarkable you will. My son and I used rather as a bourbon or some out there, what will those babies were with us going and picking him up three to $350 if you bring them to listen and run them across the scales in LA so much per pan and and you make more if you bring them to us because we don't have to pay the driver and to feel the true again and go out and get an answer rope don't care that they lazily flees playing around either something you can get one of those a U-Haul you know you can get the little car ran things he had to take about $25 Rachel Dolly don't use a rope that you know breaks and some people are able actually the last drive they take in their car is to bring it to us and that we have had tears. We had tears on all sure what's what's at one time a metal folks don't think a lot about that they could bring to you is not just cars. There's other kinds of metals and stuff that they could take to salvage yard in their area because I know a lot of folks aren't here in this area, but where they could make some money that they don't even think about the one that pops in my mind first is his batteries, you know, you change the battery in your vehicle and you got the other one sin that their old dead battery assent rent has to sit there and sit down and sit there in the they have the lead in the batteries. You know that is recyclable and and even known like a battery backup or computer or something like that. Most of those have a lead acid battery.

If you see the little three arrows shaped in a triangle.

That's the recycle sign that let you know that those that those batteries are recyclable and they do have monetary value, there's there's almost sit in Arabic, you could be taken that money and use it as a good steward and the last question I have for Bob because I think a lot of people are afraid to go out to a junkyard for whatever reason they think that there's got to be some irrefutable people out there. I don't know exactly what they think but what should you wear it you know, for the ladies out there what's good attire when you come to a junkyard.

Well, except for the folks is planning on going down in the yard and service yell using our self-service program. I encourage close toed shoes good say she's to be in the junkyard. I may we try to keep it picked up and clean as possible, but is still a junkyard. I mean there's there's the danger you know everywhere. It just cringe when I see people go marching out there in flip-flops and I and I have one guy he'll come barefoot and SEs big thing. He's just a barefoot guy and he asked a Psalms or waiver every time.

In the LOI go everywhere barefoot that is just this freaking out the sea so my going on there with metal on the ground and not lots and lots, but you know there's danger. Stuff down there so I encourage people to wear at least close to cheese and that'll help out a lot. You can stub your toe you walk into the living room and do damage yeah but but but the interesting thing is, I've come to your yard, which is by the way, since the fire's beautiful Maumee building molecular stuff. Thank you but that you meet the nicest people in a junkyard we have. I have met so many have semi-great stories about people I've met there and people that come in are surprised at how much they can say and the return people in some of the ladies that that we get to help system Mason is really a great thing.

If you seen the new movie where she sells her teeth and she sells her hair and all is evil is reaching out to grab her but God standing there ready to help us and I said I've got to tell my family, something I gotta tell my kids something if I was if I could go back and tell myself something when I was 12. What would that be and so you know what I wrote. This is what I would say if I could go back to little Bruce still more than what they call me back then whenever you truly want to you can really have a conversational intimacy with God.

This is what I would tell a little myself. Little Bruce in Iraq. Bruce, you can really have a conversational intimacy with God. He's real you can sense that the chapter listen with years of a different kind, but the more you hear and then trust and do what he says. The more you want to develop that relationship. The time will come when you're going to hear him. Please don't wait till your desperate, he would love to keep you from a but if that's what it takes to get you to listen. That's what it may take the important thing is that you know he does speak to us and and truly every Saturday.

I think I I gotta tell you if I could go back in a time capsule and catch myself I was 12 that would be the thing that I would share but I would challenge everybody this week to sit there and think about that in your own mind. What would you go back and tell yourself, and then maybe ask the people in your family if you will.
