Well truth is if you maintain your car last as long as you do cars need be safe and driven safely. We always talk about wear your seatbelt and don't speed if you're truly following Jesus. In other words, if he's in the car had a view or that look like it's estimated that Americans waste 200 million gallons of gas a week on speeding and we are alive today. This is a very colorful shelters were coming all away from Henry Ford's hundred anniversary to how the affordable care act may affect your insurance your car insurance and how long will your paint job last call us with your long and short-term paint story.

I.com now moving forward is getting this insurance situation. Bill is it it is coming fast and furious accident yet about three months ago I got a letter from Blue Cross Blue Shield telling me that changes were going to happen and I started doing a little research and I decided I wanted to be able to help people with signing up for this new program and then about a month ago I got my new bills and in the just a few years gone up about five times the cost of health insurance is caught up five targets.

The deductible that's the critical issue deductibles.

The critical issue here to help keep costs down part of the plan is increased everybody's deductibles and the different deductibles on health insurance. There's the individual deductible then there's a family deductible and there's a maximum out-of-pocket deductible individual and the maximum out-of-pocket deductible for the family so most people will be transferred into a new plan January 1 that will have a one to $5000 deductible per person $7000 deductible for the family and it out-of-pocket maximum of $12,700. Said there a lot of people that will be involved in an automobile accident, and to the family members will end up in the hospital for a few days and they'll walk out of the hospital only $12,700, even though they have one of these new health insurance plans and the good news is there is some coverage that you can get through your agent we not talk about that. Certainly not one of the big discussion. It is so here's the exposure if you're changing your health insurance really carefully look at your new deductibles because there's a lot of stuff going on with that and with these new larger deductibles. What used to be. Nobody would think about adding what what's it called your insurance is something called medical payments that in most auto insurance policies in the United States. There's either medical payments or PIP which is a different type of medical payments and you generally can choose the amount of coverage you have what it does is if you are involved in an accident anybody in your car can file a claim for their medical bills against their medical payments or against their PIP. You can buy $500 worth a thousand, 3000 in most cases 5000s. The maximum that you can purchase. But if you're in the hospital with a couple family members and you walk out with a $12,700 medical expense that you gotta pull out of your pocket. That 5000 per person that has 10,000 of the 12 down 10,000 so that there is.

Here's a real opportunity for you engage your agent to say wow here's my new health policy. Here's what my deductibles are what kind of additional car insurance. Should I carry with medical payments. How can I protect myself what's best for my family.

Because really, if you had asked academia and full of seven children are yet seven pastors in that car, your exposure could be over 50 or $60,000 could will once again is the family maximum see your exposure should be held $12,700 with the debts to people or five people. As far as what you are.

The hospital now. Okay. Interesting information is coming at you fast coming up next. We're excited to have Ford historian Bob Prensky with this and he's going to share some really cool information details that you would know about Henry Ford's license taken for that we need your call. How long to jerk color.

Start your journey home today and innovation that we got Bob here with us.

Ford historian because believe it or not. Tuesday, October 7 marks the hundred year anniversary of the assembly line. It was a game changer changed everything. Didn't Bob you know you could build something that Located all in the mass production way and in fact treated for dad. We like 1214 people that would all be specialists and made all walk over to the chassis and start putting all the part-time start building the car from the ground up but saw that they were taken hundreds of footsteps every day. To put this thing together. About 12 hours to put a vehicle together back then and he said if I could save some of this energy, you know, and there must be a better way to do it so he study now. Other things were billed in the mass production way like rifles, watches, meatpacking and applied it to the car and develop integrated moving assembly line for automobiles in a change the way all this work and live less than the week this picture that you drawn your mind of these horses drawing in these bodies.

Of course I used to live a bad area and and I can remember the Fisher body cars. The bodies used to come in on trucks by the hundreds and seven. In those days, these bodies came by horse-drawn carriage and in the Ford Motor Company old versus an ironic story.

Horses were were helping to contribute to eliminate themselves.

You know, but they will deliver all of these parts and one at a time you build the kind of course the thing that the moving assembly line did it change the placement of the workers in the machines and the part and it was a continuous moving assembly line metamorphic. I mean it just didn't happen overnight but but in October 7 19 1300 years ago.

This innovation took place at Ford Motor Company in the real proud of it and it's probably Ford's greatest contribution to the auto manufacturing field. I disagree with this disagree with Ford's historian is great. Is that wise and I do think you know it's amazing to me, Bob, that was only 100 years ago. Seems like it should be 250 but the one thing I think that he did was even bigger than that was the five dollar pay and and and his concept of being able to build a car that his own workers could afford drove rat and what if we could just get back to that kind of mentality to build more affordable cars you know it's interesting that you that you are talking about those mostly because they are similar language in 1913 and then just a few months later after October 1914 and when were credited and will be celebrating that soon the hundredth anniversary of the five dollar a day for an eight hour work day and that was revolutionary and actually when we put that in the place it was actually stabilize our workforce and obviously it also allowed the men and women to be able to purchase the things that they were making themselves, and set a whole new standard for wages in America and tell audiences it contributed tremendously to creating the middle class in America. And you're right. I wish that thinking would ensue even more. It's just wonderful and not but I can see that Ford is certainly embodying that. But since we only have you for a few minutes. Bob and I met to get you back sometime because I think this is he is one of the more fascinating characters in all history probably had more to do with the Industrial Revolution. He really is credited for pilots that since you know the inside skinny that you know what would be something that you could share that you feel like just inspired you that Henry Ford did Ford always cared about people elders all different views about Henry Ford and some good, some bad, but I got it. Cared about the safety and the health of his workers giving away things.

He believed that you know you got a help yourself to and you gotta believe in what you believe in and and go forward me was a good man down deep down inside and literally through his huge empire that he created took care of his people and I hard-pressed to find people that say you know, working for that company did literally make a better lifestyle.

What were some of the things he did. Safety wise it probably unheard of in worker safety at that point things that he certainly did. Every facility we operated in every community, he made sure that the hospital had the latest greatest technical items such as we were the first to purchase in many communities x-ray machine actually as you can imagine, back in the old days. A lot of people had broken bones from from even work and consequently made sure that there was a way to take care of these people. He also cared about safety tremendously in our minds and our factories and that safety came first and fire protection always had great sprinkler system to protect the people in case there was a fire here about you and I would think that that would go into the building of his cars to that absolutely we were one of the very very first companies to literally get into seatbelts long before they were mandatory. We played with all of the fingers don't necessarily see anymore or and all you know it's it's amazing all of the nations that have taken place. I mean it's a it's a tremendous field.

I always tell people rubbing that one out of every four especially American is attached to the automotive field in some shape or form. And if you think about it when you drive down the street and see all those carwashes auto supply company's insurance company thinks that loan the money it gold dealerships know it's amazing we attached to the arm of the day that 90% of the population is agricultural around 1880, and by the time the Henry Ford did this one a massive change is made in America. Thank you so much of the of the stop.

The story of another real life. Jesus before he was martyred in the Soviet Union in 1972 volume voice you forgave those who persecuted him for his faith. That's because he saw them from a heavenly perspective. Vanya said angels are transparent if an angel stands before you with the man behind him.

The presence of the angel does not keep you from seeing the man on the contrary, looking at a man through an angel makes them more beautiful. I see my tortures through an angel and that way even they become level. That's the same lesson Jesus taught in Matthew love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you get a global perspective from the voice of the martyrs go online to persecution.com John Arthur with what you think you would do if you were deported to another country at the age of 14 or 15 and forced to learn another culture bus. What happened to Daniel and his three companions when they were taken in battle and yet after three years of training they were ranked 10 times better than all the wise men in the kingdom and became the king's personal servants made them superior provision of their God granted them special knowledge, special intelligence were so righteous and wise. Those who didn't believe in God acknowledge the excellence of their lives they were teenage once you have every spiritual resort with integral so we've asked the question how far can tires go we found out last week we had some folks that cars 100,000 miles. We've asked how far can a cargo now how about paint. We're looking to hear what color what what did you do to keep the longest lasting paint job out there that's what I'd love to know today that no calls yet. I'm shocked somebody out there is had to have a paint job that left 30 with maybe 20 years on the time has not yet know you. You should tune in last week we had him on here, but you need to call us with your longevity paint story, 866348788486634 truth. Now I will tell you that I know the story.

My father traded for two wranglers.

One was actually a mash had been a barn since the 30s mess with this. This event happened in 1972 and one of those cars. It was made 1938.

Now it'd been in the barn and I think the secret to good long-lasting pain.

On this particular mash was number one. It was metallic. It was a flat green and and the fact that it was under about 6 inches of dust and never saw the light of day and so we blew the dust off of my allotted, but I know you got a story you got a call is 866348788486634 truth you out there has had their paint job longest come on now we we would love to hear from you and what was the secret to that.

We also can give you little update on you know what are some of the colors that normally last longer and what are some of the colors that are the safest working. I have a little colorful commentary for your and working to get to my place about robot book, but we still talk about this affordable care act and it's it's we want to make sure that your phone us on this insurance question that that perhaps you need to take to your agent because as your deductibles change if you are like many Americans that there with these new laws.

Their healthcare is changing dramatically, and in so doing their deductibles are changing drastically and that that would change your exposure.

If you were to get an automobile accident with urine with your car insurance and there are additional coverages that are less fairly expensive art. They built well I don't know but comparatively yes I did a calculation for $5000 worth work that three dollars more per month per car in each state. That's going to be different. It's not much to go from thousand dollars, and most of the other policies I've seen most most of the time they got $1000 worth of this, let's walk through it for minute okay for people that are tuning in late May been here if I'm under the new affordable care act in my family has what would be the average deductible on that for my total out-of-pocket families. $12,500 right will thousand $712,700 and my family gets an accident and to ever Hurt hopefully not to ever hurt for my hurt. The hospital says wow.

You owe us $12,700.

Had I bought for three dollars a month. This additional $5000 coverage that would've given me 5000 per member. My family had medical bills that had medical bills now here's and I'm just mothers.

It's kind of save every buck possible. There were three members of the family matter. I get all 12,500 visit within 15,000 that was available through the medical coverage and the total out-of-pocket out of the hospital 12,500. I know the numbers are coming at you fast will basically if you buy $1000 worth of medical payments you would get up to $1000 per person that had medical talk about five He had 5000 and you would get 5000 per person to head $5000 with the medical bills if you only had $500 worth of medical bills then the OU $500 right. But if all three are in the hospital and based on the new situation. I have total out-of-pocket hospitals looking at me for 12,500. I had three people that had over $5000 worth of medical bills and I then use my medical pay medical payments to pay that entire 12,500 absolute okay there is and I know you may have questions about this because I certainly do you call us 866-348-7884 is a number to call 866-34-TRUTH. If you have not just you know if there's any affordable care act question that you may be concerned about. We be happy to her bill would be happy to try to deal with that this morning as we want to help you but one of the other things were talking about today and I'm just shocked. I really am, and nobody's called and yet never tell me about their colorful commentary.

You know that that they had a white car and it never faded. That's an amazing thing about white cars if they had it for hundred and 50 years in the car. They had a white wagon. They had a wagon back when Henry Ford was billed as an assembly line and it never faded but anyway very interesting stuff. One of the things when you're picking a color of a car is which car colors are the safest. You may be shocked or maybe you won't be shocked but one of the things that's very very common. If you sell cars. One of the most popular colors is always silver just which is the worst color you can buy from a safety standpoint. Did you know that is not its second-worst behind black because black at night black during the day.

Not too bad but they've done studies and silver cars. They they blend in the background and so if you're looking at accidents, here's here's actual statistics. The study analyze risk by light conditions. It was found in daylight black cars were 12% more likely than whites to be involved in accident gray cars were 13% more likely to be involved in accident and white car silver 10%.

Red and blue car 7% so no others were found to be statistically much different, but when it went hours of darkness right. A black car jumped the 47% more likely think about that then white to be involved in accident at night.

He always bought silver because I can wash them a lot less self. That was my lot. Well, and so with that information. Robbie went on here to put together Robbie talk now again color is a very very important factor in purchasing a car. I know I sold enough cars to know that people in order to love your car, you need to love the color of the car and enough you can keep the car for a long time. It needs to be a color. He really likes it. Don't you know you gotta go with your own taste, but these things are the logical reasons behind colors okay and so based on logical reasons behind colors. Robbie's pics go like this. My number one choice is white because it is very safe.

It always has great reassess value and it does in fact never fade. It's easy to match if you ever heard it because there's no metallic in the paint or anything that and then on top of all that it has less heat absorption than a month and you put your hand on a white car versus a black car someday and you'll see what I'm saying you trying to cool off a you go sit in a black car at the beach with black leather someday bill and you will know that you, my wife drives a car from one end of the park at one of the driveway to the other.

We gotta wash it white cars deliver likely all right my number two choice. If you're wondering red red flatbread. By the way, not metallic but red is very safe are people see it. They don't jump out at you it. It also does not fade too bad if you look at old rat out there it's 15 years old. There's no email delamination.

There's no metallic paints was never really gone too far south easy to find in the parking is not terrible as far as heat absorption. Silver is good as far as heat absorption argue that window but from a safety standpoint, it's very tough and if you find a car. The Dean laminates more than any other color and I wish that was what I was hoping we have more callers cohabited the people that had trouble or paint very often based on Mike's principal bodywork were gray cars and silver cars and metallic red cars you got explained delaminate is I associate that with the lacquered they put it with the paint we have and use lacquering laws that it's okay. What happens is they put the color down. Let's use the color of red like old red they put down the color and then they put clearcoat clear on top of that, what happens, unfortunately, is that clearcoat begins to come away from the color coat and when they do you get this sort of the bubbly looking thing that happens underneath the clearcoat begins to chip off and then bad things happen so the clearcoat bonds better to certain colors than it does other colors over it had lost now. Yeah, you're exactly right. Because a lot of people don't realize it. Paint is like your skin because it's it's it's out there in 100 weather.

It has to expand that makes okay but paint has to expand as the put expands in the heat or is it gets cold it it's going back and forth, back and forth about certain colors that get more heat than you get it, then there's got to be more expansion and so as you get that more expansion you have those laminates rub against each other and thus if you're looking for cars that will be less likely delaminate. The lighter colors would be amongst that list now silver again metallic and the paint reflects the sun and creates his other situation or that paint begins to fade easier than other colors so you you struggle with all these different things. But that's all goes into the Lodge.

The logic behind colors so that the end of the day the we want to buy color that you really really like because we want to keep your car for 30 years and if you need to paint three times in the middle that's better than buying a new car every three years and certainly save you a lot of money but safety is an is a thought when it comes to buying silver gray cars. Think about how they fade into the background. If you think about a car. You didn't see, and what color was a car quite often. It wasn't bright yellow bill. I don't think the last time I saw the bright yellow car. Oh I love bright sadist not. I just don't remember seeing one recent all right. We gotta move and are praised by the real black book.

As you might imagine yesterday I was on my way from Holland, Michigan, which I was really overjoyed to see the leaves began to change their as I mentioned, we are starting a new radio feature here on the Truth Network called wisdom of the wounded, which is a fabulous things can be playing within the Christian card I show with Karen Mulder you're really really going to enjoy this new feature I was working on that up there and I got to drive back. I got to see the leaves in West Virginia. I got and I was think about car colors is where on Bill as I saw these different colored cars and I saw the leaves.

I thought how cool is this well as I thought about that, the gorgeous different colors of autumn all these different hues of orange and red and yellow and brown.

You know they paint a vivid picture in our minds. But the amazing thing you think about it is these colors are picture of the death of these leaves ever thought about that look like he hadn't really thought I know and how cool is if you think about this, that each of us carries a unique way that we reflect God's glory and I told you this before, that if you don't reflect that that part of God's glory.

Nobody else can, because you get some special thing that Jesus gives you your gifts your talents the way that God made you up. You bring something special to every party.

When you bring Jesus with. Now think of that reflection with weight that we die in this picture that Jesus gave us from John 12 your member. He said in their appearance. As Jesus replied, the hour has come for the Son of Man to be rare at the glorified. Very truly I tell you, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seat, but if it dies, it produces many seeds. Anyone who loves their life will lose it. While anyone who hates their life in this world will keep it for eternal life.

Whoever serves me must follow me and where I am.

My sermon almost also will be so. Interestingly, Jesus is talking about here dying to self right, picking up your own personal cross.

Now when I talk about this some paint this picture. Have you ever seen a group of Christians die to themselves and in doing so, was it not as beautiful as a fall picture with all the different color leaves and all the different and in harmony, paint a picture for the Jesus's labor of love. Because here's what happens there. Bill I send this to a volunteer who by the way could be doing any number of things right this minute I get I get a an application from the Jesus labor love single mom widow someone in crisis. They got a car this broken down they sometimes I give you the perfect example we had a widow. She was 80 years old. She had driven around two summers without any air conditioning, and she goes to the Jesus labor love page and says I need to get my conditioning fixed. I don't know how to fix it and she fills out an application. Now I I get that and I forward that to my chief volunteer Vic Hill, who by the way, need to be praying for right now because it's got some real diabetic issues, but besides that, for casted drop whatever he's doing with his life this minute and try to help this lady. Route 66, driving the word home log onto Route 66 life.com start your journey home today and we were painting a picture of the Christian life is Jesus talked about it with the Jesus labor. Love is different. Christians die to themselves. They not paint this picture similar to the autumn leaves as they are all falling as we are talking magic bill right before the break that we had the situation and you know I was. I was thing about over the break. I left out.

There's a whole prayer team.

This praying for this lady to at the same time so I believe there is at this point time eight people that are on the prayer team in the Jesus labor love. So not only did he go to the volunteer but also went out eight people who drop what they're doing to pray for this lady who died to themselves.

So there is eight different leaves that are changing out there. Here's the volunteer that is changing. There's Ray. I mean Jerry Ray's body shop and then his worker goes out there and all this going on as his poor ladies go around for two summers, I know it's it's seems humorous but is true that had all these Christians not died to themselves for that brief, shining moment in this poor lady click on the third summer light and air conditioning for something as simple as not knowing how to push the button where the compressor comes on and these this is a beautiful painting of how the church works together. If you if you look at the here's your looking at me like about it but you got a picture when you're looking at all those leaves dine.

It's a picture of how we as Christians should guide ourselves for the church is also an example of. That's a good thing to read and understand the things that God gave us an owners manual and that we should pull it and check it. The answers that question. Well, that that is you know how many things are in the Bible that to a well educated Christian would look at me and Your Honor you know there's the button). If you just push the snowflake.

There's probably a lot of things I'm struggling with my life right now. Had I really understood the owners manual, I'm I wouldn't be struggling so it it's the same kind of thing I'm absolutely certain and one of those buttons that you can push as with many counselors plan succeed and when it comes to this new healthcare situation.

The affordable health health care act.

We got a lot of stuff coming out is that we know it's it's bizarre and and so this is where you can hear just for me. I'm I'm it's complicating to me. So I'm thinking I'm so glad that I do have an agent that's from Santos think you have and make sure that there are lots of folks that get one of you works and your employer gives you health insurance and from day one you've had your dependent your wife or your husband and kids coming out of your check and you not realize that January all that get suggested in your your deductions for your health insurance very well could go up dramatically. You need to call you need to find out how your health insurance rates are going to change ahead of time so that you can plan for it moderates tripled, moderates tripled and part of that planning is looking at all your insurance coverage, so this is the place where we talk about is really helpful when many counselors plan succeed to have an agent somebody that you trust that you know understands these things because I can assure you I don't in this law from and understand the pages of it would fill this station is a gift. If they try to work out all the details of it so we need to understand these things and and figure out how to get the coverages that our family enforcement for yes you, you gotta check your mail to Robbie was met filled a piece of paper saying that the rights were taken that it slipped past me. I do not out. I was mailed. Three. I understand. And then there like where you didn't see the three letters know you somehow missed those three letters and so you gotta be up on the stuff you gotta check the proactive what is going on and then what ways can you get when you have yourself, so it's great to have many counselors, whether that's an insurance person or car person. Again, we thank you for being part of the show today. We thank you so much for listening so much to us. We hope you go to our website and you can check out the podcast if you did get to hear the part about Henry Ford and the hundred years of innovation or maybe gotta Jesus labor love situation yourself or hopefully and I'm praying a heart that God will send me more volunteers, more people that will pray more people that will help us with this ministry make a phone call so we ask that you pray carefully about that.

Remember Jesus said slow down. Jesus said slow even when he walked everywhere he went and got it all done in 33 years and then how about you this week. Maybe you can paint with a few colors of the wind as you look at the autumn leaves. Think about how how can I die myself and follow Jesus. Today, thank you for
