Welcome to the Christian car guy radio show.

The cop show dedicated to helping Christians buy and sell cars by the book the blue book.

Now the orange book, but by God's book, the Bible called the Christie car guy with your questions. 186634218663 for 87884 is being a Christian have to do with buying a car you're about to find out no talking to your mother Mother's Day.

He and that was the voice actually we call him the guard father and there's a story behind all that up in our appraisal by the real black book that my producer Johnny Angel did that forces a real story there to get to that. But the question it because it's mother's day even were out on her Mother's Day. I'm wrapped other and honor our mothers. This Christian car day, so to speak on this Christian car show.

The question of the day is remembering your mother and her car.

Is there a story you know how I love stories. Especially stories of how God came through for your mother. Perhaps she ran out of gas or she broke down.

Or maybe she was in an accident shall never forget. Or maybe it was a trip to the mall and she backed into another car and how she handled that we want to hear your story this morning.

Your chance to honor your mother 866-34-TRUTH 878-848-6634 truth. That's right.

When did your mother when it got come through for your mother in her car that wanted just popping your head right there. That story right there. That's when we want to hear much a cause and encourage us with your story, 866-348-7884 and we have a good friend Joab and all our Christian mechanic guy Willis today so if you have that certain question something that's driving you crazy with your car. We left free to call him again in numbers 866-34-TRUTH 87884, but specifically today were looking for those stories of how God came through for your mother and as you might imagine, I have one of those to my mother and her husband on my stepfather were driving.

I think across New Mexico on their way to Texas to see some of the stepchildren and believe it or not there to there following a big semi that has a flatbed on it and on that flatbed or a bunch of forklifts and their going along at 70 miles an hour and something happens in front of the truck with the forklift. It makes a sharp turn it jack knives and ejects all the forklifts off the back of this so you can imagine you're going on the road and all the sudden forklifts it's raining forklifts at 70 miles an hour, and they were in a big Dodge Dakota drug Joey that I told and again you can see this kind and super slow motion as they avoid these raining forklifts coming down you know each one of them obviously potential death threat and miraculously know they go off the road and slide down eventually hit a tree. The truck was totally bitten both of them in a pretty much walked away from it obviously shaken forever, but no doubt this the instant replay about one on heaven in heaven because you know there were some angels and removing forklifts around. I don't know what all happened, but you get the picture and we want to hear your story. I know some like that happen in your life, 866-348-7884 866-34-TRUTH we have lines open. We would love to get you on the Christian car guys show in Yangzhou you got a story or two about your mother, your mother is apparently not exactly mechanically gifted, like her son not she's there's a lot of divine intervention going on with her getting to and from the vehicle. If you are I drove a vehicle make and the noises that she doesn't hear we be on the side of the road, but I've literally heard her breaks screeching so bad from behind her while driving a pickup truck that was completely louder than it should have them and had cherry mufflers on at all that you or your hearing her brakes squeal while I was hearing her brakes grinding through to the films there when I took it apart and later that day, there was no brakes left so they she had a son that was little divine intervention that some didn't have those breaks before some herder squeaking and we want to hear your story. 866-34-TRUTH 87884 866-34-TRUTH maybe got lost. Maybe there was a time that you ended up wow how in the world did we get here, maybe on the wrong side of the tracks and God brought you through that somehow or who knows what what your story may be, we would love to hear it.

How did God come through for your mother 866-34-TRUTH 87884 and on track with Andy today. He is going to give us a report needs to be in the studio and have it there.

He took a pastor with him to Talladega last week and so when you get here a rundown on what happened over there and are on track with Andy segment and then are praised by the real black but that's where we search the Bible for hidden treasure. Cry out for discernment, lift up our voice for understanding what is Mother's Day, even were out to honor mothers so as you heard that God's voice in the beginning of peace. There is a story behind that and the man speaking his name is Benny Menino is actually a great friend of mine and he actually was raised in Manhattan and was very much part of that whole scene so he understands at the level I certainly don't. But I would ease in a men's group I mean and two weeks ago we were talking about how our kids were talking back to her mother and one of the guys in the group the same lie was save it from talking about life that my mother don't talk to your mother that way because she is my wife and I can talk my wife that way. And here's this oldies he's in his 80s and he has that voice. She just heard at any looked at amigos. That's wrong and he you need to show your mother respect because she's your mother doesn't have to do because I have four wives but it's your mother you got this and in the way he said that there is extreme wisdom in their and the more I thought about it, since he said it more that that his country biblically for me from his share a lot of that wisdom biblically at the end of the show in our appraisal by the real black book. Now we got Marie is in Winston-Salem. She's got a story about her mother, Marie, you're on the Christian car guy show the morning hello how are you I'm wonderful.

I'm excited to hear your story.

Well, my mom was a very patient person. You wouldn't think that she would stand up for herself and not back everything. One time when my father away.

I we were the kids are in a house with our spouse to the point and had a brother-in-law that tended to sort of take control of things unless you push back and tell he told and keep my mind always took care of their cars. Mechanically they kept clean is just something they did. They took care of everything that they are at any rate, he walked, and when we were there and he said okay I'm going to put your car up on Jack because your tires are bad and she said she powered up to her 5 foot three frame that you'll do no such thing and I'm proud of her because she stood up, she knew she could care of her car and she wasn't gonna leading by push her into a situation she didn't want to dance. I told her I never felt rather think she that is exactly that's a great story and it reminds me of a piece of play about a lady by the name rhino or cars name. As Rachel and Jerry getting here little bit about it later but there's a lot of ladies out there who really do know how to take out their cars. How cool is that that she stood up when the time came, God bless you Marie I appreciate you calling in with that story and that was your mother's name. All right Ron, I need help. Thank you Marissa God bless you. We appreciate Chelan in bye-bye we would love to hear your story, 866-348-7884.

What's the story that brings to your mind all the people you can encourage that can honor their mothers this morning. 866-34-TRUTH 87884 and as always he we have all this information at our website.

There is a podcast so if you do call in and honor your mother today you later today. You can go get a recording that maybe you be able to play that for her show the link where were to be a Christian car guy.com and also I honored my mother this morning. I actually spent more time on it. There's a picture there of my mother a lot of the things that she did and will talk about that when we come back on the Christian car guy show as were honoring mothers today and we need your story. We got all these lines open and we need to hear from you. 866-348-7884 know you're talking to your mother. Mother's Day E down the Christian car guys know and were honoring our mothers talk about that piece from Vinny Menino little later in the show. We got Joey often don't the fellow Italian dinner with us this morning. He is without Ebola automotive and probity is our Christian mechanic guy. So if you've got that sticky wicket that you been trying to figure out today's the day to call us at 866-348-7884 but we offer very special Mother's Day stories you know that time your mother well she got lost in the ended up somewhere. Maybe she was in an accident you saw God come through for her. Or maybe saw God come through for her as she backed into somebody didn't know exactly what to do and how to work through that.

We'd love to hear your story.

866-34-TRUTH 87884. You have no idea the encouragement you provide for other people. When you make that call, and they get a chance to see not only which mother did that what God did for you and that's really fun now, as I mentioned it. Christian car guy.com to see all about my mother could have a very big post right there on the front page that I posted this picture and it says my mother, Marjorie and Bacon. Gilmore given it's a picture of grace and then there's pictures of different things that she did throughout her life that she not only pointed me to God, although she never enforced that like you got a go to church. You do that kind of thing, but she her life pointed you to God and she was mother's people that everybody liked her, or she is one of those people, everybody likes her and and and you now the princesses are in the movie were even the birds like him and the and the animals and everybody likes you know that's a picture of grace. That's a picture of how to Jesus is you see he's got everybody as his favorite and and when he's around you dislike class not as much a princes movie with my granddaughter and even the little fish that you know would hang out around because there was so much love in this princess that people wanted to be in the midst of that will that was the way my mother is that is the way my mother's ocean say that was the way that is the way my mother is and if you look at this picture you can see her story is told in the upper room.

There is in a little magazine that goes out. A lot of people find them in nursing homes and that kind of things called upper room and her story about nursing when she's to come in and work on Christmas day for other people so I got a picture that various time she spoke with all these different groups and the different ways that she reached out to people in love throughout her life course.

I got a picture of her in a nursing outfit. She when my father and and she divorced. She went to nursing school when she was 50 to learn how to become a nurse and when she did that she did most of her career in nursing homes where Lotta nurses won't work because she saw the need there and search. She is really invested in her life and people in so many different ways and I got a chance to honor my mother at my website. If you go there you can see all those pictures and all the things that she was involved in to me. Certainly a picture of grace, that we need to hear from you about your mother. 866-348-7884 is the number to call in and again Joey.

There was a time your mother from what I understand she heard her dad always would put the gas in the car so she had a little misunderstanding.

Yeah, I don't think she understood the Gas-X you had to go in the vehicle. This is an older storage is in college and her dad always put gas in the Volkswagen for and she was student teaching down the middle of nowhere and she got about halfway is about halfway between they're not Raleigh or some place crazy in Greensboro and in the mother of the car stopped and she called her dad first to bring some jumper cables because the battery had to be dead. Any got there and there was no gas whatsoever in the garden. He of course at a gig at Castleton. This was your grandfather was your grandfather, the one who told you this story. Yes it he told it much better unfortunates to hunt with us but he was a quite funny man and I can picture him out there with jumper cables and saying wow is last time you put gas and she never ever had put gas in her car while she also did the same thing to him when she hit the bridge over on Aycock St. in Greensboro. She hydroplaned in went back in first into the bridge in a Volkswagen beetle and called her father and so the car wouldn't start and her and her father and his brother my great uncle show up with jumper cables and can look at the car while guess it won't start so you know my mother lied this and put gas in her car. If you wait till somebody will ride with her so she can we always make sure can shoot is just one of those things she doesn't do and there's ladies like that. But there's also ladies like Rachel and working to play this piece that you know there's some moms that are out there like that.

We love to hear from you.

866-34-TRUTH 87884. Let's hear from Rachel money she knows him about cars. This is chariot and this is Rachel. They been together 43 years. Chariot has lasted much longer than any of Rachel's three husbands like Levinson. Rachel is 89 chariot is a 1965 micro, I have thereafter.

Rachel is the original owner and is put every one of the over 540,000 miles on chariot's original engine to pay for the next power steering on mission air-conditioning like a proud parent. She's documented every milestone every birthday. This is chariot's 30th birthday party and every checkup is 6000 mile checkup $13 gasket.

Rachel knew early on the cheek. Keep chariot for a long time. So whenever possible. She bought parts with lifetime warranties is not there lifetime seven shocks and Sears had three sets. This is lifetime guaranteed battery and pennies and campaigns for fast on pet sitting 16 three batteries Rachel takes her in for service. She never leaves or even for a moment, I stand by my car.

Finally, and I see this diagram arrived well was Rachel and we want to hear your stories your mom. We got a lease in Raleigh working to hear from her. When we get back. She's go straight. Her mom we need to hear from you. 866-348-7884. All kind of different ways mothers and their cars know you're talking to your mother that is the voice of the guard about that let 'er rip like today. The special Mother's Day edition of the Christian our guys show what about your mom and in her car.

We would love to hear your story, 866-348-7884 is a number to call you and share in the course Christian Car Guy.com. We got Alyssa is in Raleigh. Alyssa you're on a Christian Car Guy show the morning wonderful. I'm excited hear your story got our light while here I remembered and the great car here to transport the grill along either at my parents were very ex-Marine bringing Marine.

Organized my mom with a free spirit and I got my mom the line have a beautiful lawn extremely hard-working and my mother on the other hand, transport, and all the material in her wagon left the window down in the car which provided Alaskan green grass growing on the floorboard of the back going back to the car lot a relationship that's that's and I'm picturing this rambler station wagon and that was a great car that's a great story and undoubtedly a family legend that now is been told on national radio and in you will have a podcast there for posterity. Thank you so much for calling and Alyssa ensure that is awesome. Thank you S well it's time for are on track with anti-segments where we hear about what's going on in NASCAR. How's God reacting with the fans in the step is going on got a really neat report form today don't we pay we do and I asked Lester we've ever done this before on this segment so you know, last week I was in Talladega and we always count on the Lord just to bring us enough to lead us to the right people. We do these pastor appreciation contest and in this case, I am 100% convinced the Lord led us to the right people and I think the do we have pastor William Rondon. The phone here yet. We got both of you guys doing today a good and I know we I totally sprung is on the last minute, but I guess I had such a good time with you guys.

I just wanted to do this to share with our audience a little bit you know what what it happened is is we did a contest down there was a local radio in Alabama. You guys got nominated so it's really your huge NASCAR fan and before you before you tell me about I just tell Robbie I don't know that we've ever had better dressed guests show up at Robbinsville put a picture of the author on the website just a minute with a they look fantastic and so so really what was it like to spend the day at the racetrack with us.

There I don't like that man audit mascot nation and you know your audit that I would like we did now well so you something you don't know a lot about NASCAR. Will I think really is the dominant fan in your family there right, do you remember we we were taken a little tour through a hunter, a team hauler there and do you remember the driver that we that we got to chat with a little bit. Who is your buddy due member's name David*okay now this is this is interesting. Okay, we know we don't get to spend a lot of time with David Starr but he was racing in that race and he was just like took Rhonda under his wing). They sat in the front and so about halfway through the race and will almost towards the end I guess where where was David, how's he doing in the race to use and six, but then for about 10 laps. He was leading the race with the will is and why I think eight laps ago.

He was in first place. There really want to get out. You know that we we left a little early right there. This is just a great time so Rhonda, do you have any takeaways from from your trip to the track with us. There, what's right. Well I know it will know that I don't like to work in the medical work going one coworker who attended the right day you we had a fabulous time in the picture mandated dynamic trailer by actually now know some cool into be fair and he knows this because he's out there every week.

But if you've never seen that when Andy does for these pastors when they win this adventure. It's more than just you can go set up in the stand somewhere.

Now he's in Sandy's involved with all the teams he's going to have you down in the pits and one time I did it. They were throwing tires over when these pastors would take their he's down there with the team sees it that the chaplain meetings and it's it's it's a NASCAR adventurer.

It's not just working to go watch the race right certainly is and so I just wanted it just to actually have our listeners will it really is that he's a bi-vocational pastor.

Like many pastors and and he has a it's a church is called the ark of safety. Okay it's it's kind of a small church but he is a extremely passionate minister of the gospel and so I just wanted to bring them on, and that we really want our listeners to pray for you guys and I just pray for God's favor on your ministry there, but that have you have you got any real quick word for our listeners before we let you go right throughout church but not captured all over the right, and what impressed with that that covering no need to pray for the driver to drive on Sunday and I'll just impressed with the church and and and wanted they one of my favorite Bobbitt box 19 of 14 words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart.

I don't want my spring and my wood beam.

But I continue to pray for you and in a playful notebook readynot break all the people who involved it would. And we really enjoyed it was certainly a pleasure. So I guess that I just want to introduce you guys to our audience and will be continue to pray for you and hopefully we can stay in touch thereto and Mother's Day to you Rhonda, do you, do you think have some kids have no here. No with the Lord girl who are no way excited about family and loved him. Love the Lord and we know he makes no mistake though I tell you not believe these were great friends of ours now and so were just looking for staying in touch with keep them in your prayers and and keep their ministry in their prayers as they leave, they got a heart for the gospel and they got hard-to-reach kids and and I actually saw Rhonda reaching out to some kids that are so want to keep in our prayers. And again I just want to say thank you guys for showing up.

We had a great time with you and now I will look forward to staying in touch. Thank you and this is all part of the pray for your pastor to her that I think is so cool because not only do you have the car going out there reminding folks to pray for their pastor. But very often you got pastors out there that are get a chance to be encouraged when we we are we are doing the best we can do around them in the Lord has given us a big burden were actually leaving in a few weeks to take about a 22 stop church stuff on our tour, so keep us in your prayers, got along well enough and we got a lot more working to hear the story behind that darn father when we come back. It's amazing know you're talking to your mother for cargo showing.

Yes, there's a story behind that audio there and I'm a get to that in just a moment, but we need to hear your story about how God came through from your mother. We'd love for you to call and ensure that we got one last segment to do that C got a call now 866348788486634 truth and I do need to tell you about the way I saw God come through for a family. This lab just last week that you may know that the Christian car guy.com. We have the Jesus labor love which is free car repair labor for single moms and widows across the country just like chili vanilla hear it often dull automotive in Greensboro provides that service and and we have lots of folks throughout the country to do that and it's all their Christian car guy.com. If you're looking for somebody that does that kind of work that you know is a good Christian man, but these people. It contacted me actually was a mother and she was and there's a lot of issues with her. Carmine was leaking oil.

It was leaking antifreeze. It had a lot of stuff with it and as we talked about before on the Christian Car Guy show the Jesus labor. Love is the labor it's not the parts, and so as I was looking at what all this this car needed. I was thinking wow this is way more than were really to be able to help this lady with and we didn't even have a repair center in Lexington Kentucky that is on with us full-time so I was can have to make some calls myself to try to figure that out so I called her got the information I start praying. I said we have up labor love prayer team and I said about that team which by the way, if you want to volunteer to be on the team, please just get connected their Christian car guy.com.

We would love to have you on the team and so these people start praying and I thought well let me look down her. We have them fill out an application so we have all this information about what's going on in their life and we have some references in those kind of things and I ask what church affiliation you have in sheet headset that she had a church affiliation there in Lexington so I figure I'll call them first because maybe they have a mechanic that works in their congregation, or something that can help me know possibly work on the car. There might be some else while I got the nicest jerk church secretary when she answered the phone she goes all I know her mother lives right down the street from me know they had any problems we have. We have a church benevolence fund and I'm sure we can figure out a way where in our pastors the most wonderful man.

He's going to when he hears about this.

I know and would you believe when I looked at the situation. I thought there's no way that this is going to be resolved. This church reached out for their member and got in contact with her.

I talked to the pastor for 1015 minutes yet made and Thursday and he was tell me how she was crying how cottage is shown up for this lady through the church that she actually belong to, but was just kinda cool that the Jesus labor love weep weep, provided the connection and the pastor was so thankful that we called them to meet the need of their own person and an you know it's amazing how God comes for you see the hitter. The hero in this story is clearly God, and quite often you know that that is the case, Joey, and it's really cool to see an end in her cars back and it was really a tragic story was had time to share all that was going on that family. But God certainly came through for now.

You moved to our praise about the real black book.

That's where we search the Bible for hidden treasure crowd for a sermon lift up her voice for understanding human hearing the voice of Vinny Menino and he is a dear friend of mine and he did grow up in Manhattan and he has a certain way about him because he spent some time with those folks that, but where he actually worked within the organization there that Betty's making reference to, but later in life he became a guard here in North Carolina and since he had that voice and he's got that demeanor about them to know him.

They effectually started calling the guard father like he was prison guard and we were sitting with this men's group. As I was talking about and in this we are talking about how her kids sometimes process wife and and as I mentioned in one of the men said well I just say to them, you know that's my wife you're talking to them Vinnie was like no that's your mother. You gotta show them some respect and the conversation went away from a minute and then it came back and the man that Vinny said that he was crying and he said you know Vinny, you're absolutely right.

I realize that it was an issue with my mother that I did not call my kids to honor their mother and father, and as you may know clearly the Bible states that in Exodus 20 where this is the first commandment of it. You have the four commandments were God is describing his relationship with him. You know you have no gods before me and all that for the first one you get to if he took them in order of priority after God's commandments about his situation is the one that says honor your father and mother and as Paul points out in Ephesians. It's the only one with a promise that you live long upon the land. And interestingly, one time I was called upon to my special needs class to teach that to my folks and they don't.

I teach Sunday school class with people that are autistic and down syndrome of things. A lot of them don't communicate you know some abuse hand signals and we got different ways and so teaching the word honor. The only way I could figure out how to do that was to get down on my knee and try to illustrate to them what it meant to honor your father and mother and I thought that I totally missed the boat is the first time I ever taught this class to validate and understand the thing I said until the parent showed up in the nose. Students were on their knees and their parents were crying. I went wow. That's what honor means and it's an interesting thing about that promise. I do a lot of genealogy work and I couldn't help but notice in my family and over this way most families. But if you could trace back the genealogy. As you can tell through the censuses which family the parents lived with. After they got too old to stay by themselves so you'll see the father, the grandfather of the widow move in with one of the kids on the senses, which every child that was that took the older parents in would almost always outlive their siblings by 10 or 15 years.

I could show it to my family anyway you can check your family are to find that this live long in the land has to do with the way that they honor their father and their mother and and I find I find absolutely fascinating, but I think the clearest, most beautiful picture in the Bible of someone honoring their mother we find at the cross, only seven words that Jesus uttered from the cross but ones that have always touched me deeply was here. You have John the disciple that Jesus love in the way it is in John 19 now there stood by the cross of Jesus's mother's mother, sister, the wife of Clovis and Mary Magdalene. When Jesus therefore saw his mother in the disciple whom he loved standing by said his mother, woman hold your son and he said the disciple will hold your mother. One of the last things that God did from the cross was honor his mother and it's interesting how he did that, if there is a disciple amongst the 12 that would kind illustrate love to me as a mean if you read first John love is probably nothing for I haven't given you that I'm pretty sure it's 40 million is right in the next person love is all over. First John love is and in this was the disciple that Jesus love, but he was also the disciple that said Jesus was full of grace and like my own mother. John understood that wherever Jesus was everybody felt the love. Wherever Jesus was. Everybody was feeling that an and Jesus knew from the cross here was number one. One of the disciples, one of the few and the only one we know that was at the cross. And here was one that he knew John understood love and I know that that took place clear up to because I'm I visited Ephesus one time on the trip. I went through with Chrysler and their and aphesis up on the mountain is where John took care of Mary the mother of Jesus until her death which that remains to this day, that place that they are not there. Sometimes you revisit aphesis and see where that is. So Mary was indeed taken care of by John to the end of her days said Jesus. He is showing us a picture of what we get to do the rest of the week will thank you Phyllis to the Christian car guy show.

As I mentioned Christian car guy.com. There you find Jesus labor love there's application if you need some help or you can see the other places that provide car repair like Joey Avondale Ivanova at the dollar. Thank you for being with us today. Joey thank you Robin and thank you for those stories. Remember, slow down. Jesus walked everywhere he went and got it all done in 33 years and well guess what tomorrow we get to honor our mothers, but like Vinny tells us respect to honor all the
