Pride and Delamination

I'm sharing the spiritual and then I'll show you what happens your car so bear with me on that. But years ago I googled the 10 best Christian books of all time just to see what would come up and one of the books of the many books the awesome books. By the way, in the list, but one of them was imitation of Christ by Thomas Campos was in.

I mean way, way back I think around 600 but anyway in that book, he instructed that if we would work on just one spiritual weakness a year and 10 years we would have made amazing progress towards imitation of Christ.

Whatever sense that I II actually have picked one every year as is part of my negative for a solution.

I know some people like New Year's resolutions, but not you know I'm with Thomas a campus I'm trying to imitate Christ. And I realize I have many weeks this is why I may need to live another 80 years to get to the foundation anyway. Ever since that so this year I picked up typically tough one for me, pride, work and everything. If you like me everything in life. Satan attacks me with my pride. I mean it's all over the place is like social media is a breeding ground for pride in my parenting.

I'm I'm often so worried about Megan sure my kids are happy with me that I don't you know discipline improperly or do what I need to do their and how that will not face difficult struggles immediately on my God, why are you picking on me.

The US manufacturers mean those paints would delaminate what you have there is you have a adhesion problem. So it's really not what you're seeing is the problem is the top surface. That's just the result of the problem with the problem really is. Underlying that something that's that's underneath that first layer is built up and we start about delamination can be caused by a lot of factors, but that the result of not getting adhesion between the coats are different types of materials and back go back in time a little bit. Remember all the European cars were coming over. You know, we can kind of see what it is that often it just comes often flakes and that's actually were the clearcoat itself is flaking, but since new cars today almost have seven layers of paint.

Often, you usually will have at least five and so there is a etching coat that is actually like electronically sealed to the metal and the car comes through the finishing process and then there's a primer coat that goes on top of that, and you'll never really rarely ever see those delaminate. I mean, they seem to bond really good together but between that primer coat and those color coats is often where it happens right. Johnny not caring about Terry Johnny now that you know and the thing is with that is defective. What you have, you know not not only is it noncompatible material sometimes but also is just the just the speed in which they're done, you'll see that more in the aftermarket industry where shops like the proper cure time in between the coat so you can have everything right except for just application that you not letter when I'm lying in and knowing what you're doing you know for us, which makes life so much easier. We have a unit of the heat control, climate control, paint booth and you know if you just follow all the steps into a properly then you shouldn't have an issue with it but United I can understand when you get out there and then and someone has a car near just you just don't you know it's just just not know and knowledge is everything in a sort of in our Christian walk. Knowledge is certainly important. Huckabee can you be there with yeah yeah exactly and I now turn with Randy Welch yesterday. Wonderful conversation and fellowship on the career and I've never met in person. I couldn't pick them out everything in the first, but yet when you got Jesus in common. You're like you know Claude old friend and Robbie say what I think is one of the great secret of revival in our index unity within the body of Christ and you know the great evangelist of the 19th century, DL Moody Goddard lead and I tell you, when you realize they you believe in Jesus. Third, why hey we got a lot of Christian truth that we can rally around together and you know Robbie sleep and you jump over them, but I get body need the body and with the many challenges to American day which is our challenge to religious freedom not enough people know that our religious freedom really hangs in the balance. We need a body of Christ need to come together and pray, and my friend. I promise you the body of believers pray together for the gospel of Jesus, that the power of the Lord will be unleashed in our culture. I firmly believe that rock we seek his face because he has the answer. If we could just publicize ourselves enough to get down and in as a body. You come together and that but the interesting thing is, I happen to know that the word rally and car kind go together and Alex McFarlane and car kind, because when he says these barreling down the highway know is going to speed limit is elicited barreling down the highway in a pretty cool car because I know Alex has a love for cars are you and your challenger. But then it may be that your wife has that. But the interesting thing is that I can never convince my wife on a conviction issue.

God always ends up being the one that does that and not being in the way.love being married was mad at me about letting OJ got together no and no actually I guess you not barking up when one thing that you know when I'm sitting here this and then the little for advice. Only one piece of advice I can give anybody that situations when I go to is the fact that I need that whenever me and Myra have any kind of conflict or disagreement is just slow down, go to the Lord in prayer and in even open just recent scriptures that because really what what has to be it has to be together yet come up with that decision and don't leave out Christ in it. Well, why don't you just, you know, we can all train right this very moment.

So let's just pray Lord I thank you for the courage to call us and admit that you're struggling. I think that's awesome. I think were all struggling in all sorts of ways in it. You have to take down the bribe even get there.

Lord I pray the you would come for the hearts of her father for her heart that you would make a way that this will bring glory to you, because clearly it's something that you're doing and at the NSA you know… And God's the hero animal to share some ahead of time. When I was reading this former this week with the Christian in complete Armour William Col. have this little sentence in this little sentence is a tremendous weapon against Robbie's pride. I hope that you can use it as well. What William Col. said in the lot more you meditate on this like me, you may find it goes deeper a prideful heart and a proud heart cannot reside in the same bosom so when I start to think that while I've done something well then I'm not really being thankful because right God gave us that beautiful wife I have, God gave me my children. You know, eat, he gives and he can take away in the stuff. This is an anything that I'm doing is clearly a gift he gave me and so there's that level of being thankful, but also in the struggle because in the struggle to find thankful for the struggle and see that he's doing this because he loves many wants to bring me to student some new understanding, even though my struggle with pride then well it can take me to a whole different place. If I am thankful for grace. Rather, being proud of grace and I'm thankful for even this sounds crazy, but I've been there but I was thankful that I found myself in the degradation of sin so I can understand redemption as something the Angels don't get to do, but is there an and is something to think about, and you may be listening right now to go. It isn't anything I can do is all dependent on our our existence is dependent on God on Jesus Christ know everything and just like the color earlier you know so many times we get hung up on the temporal things and lose focus of eternity and eternal things and that sort of what what brings pride in me when I start worrying about it being hung up on the temporal things. What I have today. What what I want to have by tomorrow instead of Litton God lead me and being thankful was when I think is something I can do okay. I may be able to do a bit is not going to be anything for eternity and is not to be anything tech to further the kingdom and similarly with obtained delamination.
