Every driver, every driver can be part of the problem or they could be part of the solution, inexperienced drivers just simply in my opinion they can't handle speed and so may I also add that sometimes any other pressure that were talked about Bob could be a geezer like me like this last night it was raining like it has been all week. Here and I'm an old rent a man on the right and I am coming up a 2 Lane Hwy. that will read his back on the road and I'm very very happy to say with your help, Bob and many other people, but all reds and 95 Dodge Dakota doesn't have the headlight power of some of the newer coffers and that in the windshield wipers just don't have as much spring as they once had the candle in the mirror, headlight, and so naturally you know I'm going the speed limit 55-2 Lane Road, and I will some kind of big truck comes up, you know, I could see them coming from about 3 miles away and actually you know they don't just have to have their headlights on the got have these fog lights that are bigger than your your head on until you know so they got all this light is coming through my windshield and end. It's bad enough that there tailgating me but I can't see because of the rain and the wind and I'm like me, this is tough. This is scary stuff. If I was a teen driver in that situation right you can imagine what that might feel like so I'm wondering when did somebody pressure you into making a bad driving decision. Apparently it startled the driver and the young lady at a rate and she ended up time he carried that and it was such a heavy burden on him for quite some time. I probably still today because he had zoomed by the lab pipes and and he he felt responsible for her death, and death is a heavy thing to carry around whether you thousand or not. So we would love to hear him and Bob mentioned maybe you know what is the story. There's many of those that that I have experienced. I think every one of them at some time or another that them. It's just when you first mentioned it I just couldn't believe that's crazy. And then in just a second nap out there so many times that other people affect the way you drive and in years gone by. If the money was up on my up to close to me. I felt like they were driving to close is not a good thing that I would have to break and let them get a real good look at my bumper and and now I think that's very dangerous.

It is idiotic. If it's collectively stupid of me today and that is something I don't do any longer and might turn on the brake light but not slow down the card tonight that the my favorite thing now is if I pull out the neighborhood and their semi pulls up behind me that there obviously later in a lot bigger hurry than I am.

I just buy me a little place.

I've got a certain place. When I leave the house that I can ease off the red let them go by traffic. Ease back on the red and the my geezer paste on the work and I'm rarely late and having the hurry to work in that you know some people may not be experiencing the same kind of morning I'm having now. Or they could have an emergency, you don't know and you know what the situation isn't so like we talked about for years. Pray for the people you don't know what's going on in and see what you can do to you know be a picture of what Jesus might be in the situation would sometimes.

Driver danger zone passengers that that is the number two thing in fact the graduated programs in many states now including North Carolina don't allow pastors more than to pass one pasture for a period of time and that is such a smart thing because that's exactly what happens. Did when I got my license in a airbag and let's go. There's all Conoco mansion in the car and you're not used to driving you know Robert Byrd ever undistracted and got all these distractions piled in there with you in and yeah people encouraging you to do, not necessarily the right thing and in an it's just that law is a great law that limits the number of passengers with the young drivers. I think that's awesome. It is an avid graduated program that is absolutely one or two other areas that they do this and actually it's the number one number two and number three danger zones are inexperienced passengers and night driving and so the states that are doing the graduated programmer addressing these three so that they limit the pastors over a period of time and they made limit night driving like my daughter she is 16. She can't get out past 9 o'clock and was she has a note from work or whatever and that's another place it's especially if it's raining at night and driving with rain.

My wife still doesn't like the guy with the rain and at night you know or really even in the daytime because that rain, it changes so many things going you get behind that truck but thrown up the sprayer in and you get all that and you got a parent you know you picture this teen driver inexperienced there in that situation you a lot of times cannot see. You know you got somebody put pressure on you, behind you got the lights going through.

It's it's it's it's a difficult it's a scary situation and and that's one of the reasons that I really think that the number one on the list is so critical it's inexperienced, you know, there's nothing like having experience in a driving experience and they say that first thousand miles of court. All the studies that they do for teen drivers at first thousand miles is by far and away the most dangerous where they have the most accidents and you know if I don't know if your kids like this, but we took out a few mailboxes. I got my license in July late August. I had my first accident I dropped the tires of the age of the red and directed back on.

Take week without slowing down first and that crashing and it just complete inexperience and you didn't roll. I hope that it resents the one that really is Bentley the tires come off and in. I don't know why but it was that way with all three of my children that you know is you teach your kids to drive on the scariest thing is is is helping them get used to being the center of the road. They either tend to want to be to the right of the left. Neither one of those scares me that you know what I'm saying may I struggle just keep McCartney middle-of-the-road, but if they go off to the right leg pull those tires off so we literally I had exercises for them. What is your story.

I'm still in the story still come in mom I know it is God's appointment on Newhart call in 866348788486634 truth, we would love to hear your story and yes we got a lot more driving zone danger zones were going to get to, but I promised Bob that I would finish the story but you are fixed to say something well was because you know sometimes we put pressure on young people put pressure on their sales to drive fast thinking that their friends expect him to drive past in in the and their friends maybe thinking I really don't want to this list be sent to scare me scare you so as I was talking about before the break we have this the Jesus labor love which is car repair for single moms widows and families in crisis and often we get overwhelmed with the needs and there was this this particular lady had five children transmission out of this van. We finally found the transmission. We thought we are making progress. I found a place to do it. I found all the stuff and were praying through it and I'm trying to get donations and that was that was one sign that I just found really unusual because usually audiences phenomenal. We generous but nothing came in for this particular need not and so then the transmission turned out to be bad we couldn't use a transmission. So now I got no transmission. I got no donations. So I had to call her on Monday Bob and and I don't want to hide, even though it been easier and I said let you know I hate to report this, but I just have to tell you, you know, I I've tried for a couple weeks to get donations.

We had a transmission that turned out to be bad and I just on the were going but that does mean I'm ready to give up were still praying I got people on the prayer team were praying I don't know what God's doing here because it's really unusual because you know and experience. This quite this way before and she said well I guess that must be God's way of handling this because I get ready for this. Barbara told it was one of the stories it email know what got up to sometimes may not be praying God's will. When you think you need the help of the Internet in a given situation, God's will is different. You know he doesn't think like us on earlier that day that very day.

The court had ordered the judge ordered that if she couldn't get the transmission fixed on that Van that her husband was going to have to give her his car except she was getting. As a result of us not being able to fix a transmission on the van, which is really disappointing to me and the rest of the team. Nonetheless, this meant she had a media transportation because the judge was now ordering that she would get the car rather than living and yet she needed to van it because she had the five kids, whatever, but the car would suit her as her small casino.

All car seats and I kind of stuff so you know and she said Robbie you don't know how your prayer, encourage me today that what was going in the court and also the fact that you called me and it was willing to admit that you know you're here. It seems like God's got this plan for for what's going on. Amazing.

He kept us from kept us out of his way and I thought you and I thought that we were. We were given a transmission at 160,000 miles on it.

I was little concerned about putting this transmission is car, you know, two months later, being in on the same position again. I had all sorts of concerns but I'm just moving forward but God had another plan and and so II sit back watch and in doing this is well that's just awesome that's pretty amazing so many times we just can't quite see exactly what God's plan is because were too busy with our plan and the he cleared that up for you. The and he really did. But we do have to speak about number four Bob which is 13 driver danger zone number four which this one is the one involving that upset me. This one just really grieves me. It's not wearing a seatbelt. So many teen drivers don't wear a seatbelt and and actually I think it was the second Christian card I show I did, I did a show on seatbelt and I had an emergency worker call in and he said I want to tell you right now. This was guileless brainless driver first responder. I have never unbuckled a dead man and you can see statistic after statistic after statistic. There is no way in the world that is not make sense to wear a seatbelt and it's simply a habit. And of course you know I had taught me the hard way because I had my at the time six-year-old son sit in the right seat and he wasn't wearing a seatbelt that I was sitting at a stoplight in a car comes up behind me away am bangs in right word sitting at a stoplight's car crashes into me. My son goes to the windshield I could.

I reached out to grab him there was no stopping. I was in a seatbelt he won in a seatbelt. Fortunately was not seriously injured, but from that day on, I can assure you I didn't need another lesson you cannot stop something with fly like that. I got my lesson and 83 tell this from work I work second shift Nicholas Martin told us not come in because it was snowing real bad and I left in the little Toyota pickup truck and went to the store and got the bread in the Okanagan, i.e. ethical snow here is Medicare and when I got back out to the church seatbelt. It slid back behind the seat instead of stopping and getting out and making it slide back at the therein and hook up my seatbelt. I said I'm just going to the house right around the corner when I left and is going up little heel there and the lady lost control and 83 New Yorker and lots of metal lots of metal and hit my little Toyota truck. She spun around in her passenger door hit me square in front in his eye bounce that bounced off the windshield hit my head into steering wheel up 4 inches from the windshield cracked many, it hit me so hard it not my. It was the moon. Big Mike is big toe, then say let me something that was laced that that my boot was knocked out and everything and real substantial damage to head hair stuck in the windshield and I could've gone three and that's that's that's a bad thing that the it was a real extreme eye-opener for me about where net seatbelt and don't know where it's coming and where it's coming from an NIE, and in it once you get a habit I cannot. I literally can't sit my car without a seatbelt and not be uncomfortable is like. That's the habit that I think that just has to happen. And that's it's one of those things but you know what we need to do to teacher teams.

That to me is we just it's a habit you never ever never I don't care if your opponent part on the driveway. You'd never went to Carl about what I was.

Maybe they shouldn't start and list the seatbelts book now. It would make all common sense gives an airbag nowadays can come out and do all sorts of stuff. So that's number four number five is distracted driving, I know you're not surprised about that, but texting and driving and eating and driving and putting on makeup while driving, and all those kind of things you know those are just those are challenges. And when you take inexperience and you put that together with that you got a real problem in the course. We model these things Bob when were driving in all these people in the car with us and you know where where in the course.

Our teens are watching or whatever. You know it's it's a and there's one that I really I cannot believe how badly I modeled this with number six team danger driving zone is drowsy driving and I I know man here. Insert you in this area. Now I think about all the times that I drove through the night. I'm I mean, that was just and everybody all man.

He's in a marathon driver, Robbie can drive it. But I do not know what my teacher my kids because guess what they do. My father, my son came back from California last week that you not just like you I broke as I man what we model it you know don't it's it's it's it's a scary thing this drowsy driving. That's how I found out I had sleep apnea at it once year I got a rallied or special trip drive down then drive back. I get up early and went to bed early. Slept 8 1/2 hours or least eight hours and drove to Raleigh and on the way back three and half hours later I'm dozing off at the wheel slept eight hours during and does not suddenly wrong with this picture know and have a sleep study done that in here that's you know you feel it coming and what I have learned and I suppose many of you have learned is that you know how hard is it to pull over in the restaurant actually taken out. There's nothing here you can try turning up the sound turn on the cold air you can try all the shenanigans you want to. I might tell you there's nothing like a good old map used to carry a toothbrush with me when I get granddaddy in that and it seemed to help in my head it held no credit when you modeling you know there's another there's that there's the situation, which we get to number seven which is reckless driving and never, never, teenage boys, I I I hate even think and and little did I know is I was sharing my stories of my youth I was modeling you know the kids.

But Jesus died. The reason he went to the cross is sinless man was that he could take these kind of things and you could get forgiveness like wave and that person that you demeaned away from into the intersection. Maybe they got hurt bad. You can get forgiveness there at the cross because he paid a price that was unbelievable. He took an unbelievable suffering, so that, but you could get forgiveness at that point, but there's other freedom that's involved that I wanted to talk about briefly that in my case I attempted suicide when I was 16 my girlfriend decided to go out with my best friend and that left me in a really bad place now me attempted suicide was a sin on disk really really bad one and something I didn't have any way of understanding I was 16 years old, was it not only what I've killed myself, but there would've been three Gilmore children that have never would've been born there was no no Christian Car Guy I show there was no Jesus labor love. There's all sorts of things that were infected for the kingdom of God and Robbie taken his life and he was 16 years old that I had no way I idea I will be chilling. In fact, my own children now how I get forgiveness for that you I need Jesus actually got approved.

Another problem that there's some other stuff that went on there that Satan had a plan for Robbie. Just like God has a plan for life saying that a plan for my and he wanted to put in the Bitterroot right there and so that girlfriend.

I judged her that friend of mine went out whether I judged him and now I got this Bitterroot and see in Hebrews 11. I believe it is. It tells you that Bitterroot will defile many. So I got this Bitterroot. I'm actually holding my girlfriend and this other friend in 1971 because I judge them to be what you know evil and and through that.

I've also made a vow that I'm not to let myself get back close to my can open up my heart to that situation since Satan else got entry through the vow as I made a vow Satan heard it, and now is going okay Robbie I got you right here and then I made an agreement that I am not going to need anybody else in my life like that ever again.

And so, Satan's got another place he's got me.

Now how can I get out from underneath all that bondage, nothing but the blood of Jesus. You see, Jesus being my betrothed can break my vow in a look in Deuteronomy this really cool stuff I wrote all this out Christian Car Guy to buy the way on their roots and vows and expectancies, but essentially these things that I allowed in my life with this incident all held me in chains and affected the rest of my life. But not only that affected my entire family until I asked Jesus to come back and reason with younger Robbie to forgive these two people to give them favor again realize they were young and they were they they were live in their life.

The time and all these things happen. I had to forgive them. Had to forgive myself.

But here's the here's the point.

You see, if I don't put on that oxygen mask and get the freedom myself in Christ. If I don't get sanctification if I don't begin to walk with him, then I can't model the stuff for my own team right so if I am walking and in bondage to always vows and agreements and Bitterroot said I meeting on then honestly I'm putting peer pressure on my kids to do, make all these choices and all the stuff is because the father is distracted and drowsy and reckless and impaired that the child becomes reckless distracted and impaired.
