I had no much from the I know that I love the anyway last week in the Christian card – or we had so much fun with our Father's Day favorites. However, so many didn't get a chance to share their dads favorite car. We had so many calls from frontline this year, but from what I understand from several folks that lines were busy. We had all these calls so even my own dad couldn't get in the tell us about his dad's favorite car, so we want to give you a chance today, by all means, if you didn't get in last week were to make the same offer. I will send out my father's favorite certificate. The picture of your father's car in the logo. I have a lot of fun doing that follows this week to give you my father said I say this, all telephone number two faster so I must say it slow. It's real slow real slow 866 it's toll-free that's what 866-348-7884 so 866-348-7884 if you want to call it. If you get a chance last week to share your father's favorite car. We would love to hear the story. My father's got quite a story. I understand about my grandfather's car and were anxious to hear yours so 866-348-7884 and by all means will get you out certificate as well.

And of course this is the week for Christian card I theater so with the bottom of the hour. We are to hear the ongoing saga of pride takes a ride on Christian card I theater. I think the love that show that's that's coming up at the bottom of the art 1030 Eastern time is yet west I guess while you're up early at 730 real early, but I did want to make sure that people got a chance to do that and now I would also say Jerry and I since this whole idea of restoring your father's favorite. You know what's what goes into that if you decide you know what I recently had a listener that had a 1984 Oldsmobile that she wanted to restore and all the that goes into deciding whether or not to restore that, you know that's a big decision. I drink you need to is a lot of thought process to his go into it really laying out that the cost because it is not an end in expensive endeavor for sure answer you. You have the whole issue of you know the things lost, but also is it even possible because in last year and the ability to manufacture certain parts. You know those things come into play so we got out, you know, try to think through that process were to get into some of that and then you know there's there's also some things you may not know about that process right again. I'm not the expert on that. This is my thing, but Jerry does a lot of it in a course, if you've got a question or comment about that kind of thing. It would be a good day to call in and and find out about that we got some folks call in and want to share, so will get Anna's in Edmonton Washington and you're on the Christian card show good morning I am wonderful. Tell me about your father's favorite. The they call that Woody that was a Ford that was really cool. It wasn't just a decal.

It was made out of wood and are oh if you have that now those things are worth those Woody is a really really really cool so do you remember about what year the car was our night. I will write back. I how cool is that Walsh and I appreciate you calling and being up so early this morning in Washington.

God bless you, thank you for listening and will get that certificate out to you. Thank you. Oh yeah, we want to tell me we have.

Sharon is also in Edmonds, Washington this morning.

All things are in it, but is up Christian card as sugar morning so tell me about your father's favorite World War II and conference were not only available. My father worked in the meantime end of a grocery store, a good regular customer came in selling raffle tickets. Our family saved money and would not usually waste what I believe was one dollar on something like this when my father one others wanted to buy the car, but my father did not sell.

Thankfully my father didn't regularly buy raffle tickets after this and did not become again like so this was this was like a 46 and 47 Plymouth Way back to those would meet Carson did.

It was a two door for the I don't remember those were neat. Jerry didn't my father had this 36 model a Nash and it had this funny kind of roof that was like vinyl in the top but it was almost like a sunroof that there was at like that and that will Plymouth. I have no idea. I think I probably with eight or nine years old at the time and the only reason I know about this.

It written up in later life stories actually my mother's life story that she well how many people got to win a Carmi next to someone.

I think that is so cool.

Sharon got bless you. Appreciate you so much calling and ensuring your father's favorite this morning. Thank you. I love your program and it's on KCI IES 6:30 AM in right near Edmonton. Okay well that's what we are up early this morning I really appreciate your call thank you thank you I like your program. We have a lot of listeners out there in Washington, but we have a listener who is in and no blues Creek, North Carolina this morning.

Very special in my own father, who I was sad we didn't get a chance to hear about his father's favorite car you thought you had some kind of condition you got some told that you're on the Christian car show that our you. I am so excited.

It's like the original Christian card.

Well, I wanted to call him about my father's favorite car yet so old but I remember the favorite was a 1940 and dear old dad would be 113.

They were so so but I want to talk about the 40 Dodge just for second now.

You remember the Nash really well and in the how you discovered the overdrive yet it is not that okay I know in the middle of the right front of the windshield and I thought the handle for that you I was driving an old angle down the map clearly the gas pedal over the overdrive creek note, have overdrive so grandpa's 40 Dodge was that of the eight or six, not all that was. I don't think quite sure the gate at that point it was the great, and so we can stay tuned and stay with us for a minute, that number again if you want to call and ensure your father's favorite 866-348-7884. Would love to hear back car guys show this morning. We are the little continuation on what was your father's favorite. And then maybe even the bit of what you goes into restoring a car if you decided to restore your father's favorite.

Or maybe your favorite winter weather and some of the decisions that you make what might you be facing the good news is that there could be a tremendous payoff if you've watched what's the name that show dad you like so much Jackson auction show lectures I can't write what TV think when they show this car is going to the auction. The interesting thing we saw last weekend as I was watching it with my dad was that some of the newer cars you know the muscle cars and Corvettes and stuff like that bring way more money then you know say 27 Nuno Ford or whatever that was kind of shocking to me gone out a little. The the 60s and 70s of the one thing to be the more popular the auction and that's a lot of cars from the 50s 60s but in your cancer you think old car.

Your thinking model to you and stuff like that right right right and you said you saw some outlays running around. Just the other day and it is its private care close to losing like I thought my life old door to door word being so bad. Do you have restored some cars in your time and what would you say is a major consideration before somebody's takes on that challenge. In your view well because how we restart our and how it's being done in a different the day.

Most of the really great respirations are vehicle off fancy and completely restore their using have a lot more I need to go but the project I ran into as I was told Jerry we have this mutual listener friend that that called want to restore this, 84, and when I call that they talked about take all the panels off the car and go dip them in acid and that was $3800 before you get Sturgis to stop the rest from going on and that that's part of what's taken a damaging yeah I mean it's just that you know when you're doing something like that first thing you need to do is get a cost that get a good realistic what is in the cost because a bad thing is I see so many people who start a project then realize that the cost just keeps escalating nestling and they never had an idea it was installed, run that kind of money and its then all the sudden you're backed into a corner. Yeah, you know the especially in this area.

You know the rest is a is a factor and acid dip and it is that is ask of what it does it neutralizes all the rest in the panels and it sorta eats elders read wherever rest is heated out of it. And so the bad thing is love times. You look like you have a whole car a whole frame until you dip it you come back and you got all my goodness, what in the world am I going to do now me because it will certainly only down to good metal.

It's an interesting dilemma because you a new car.

These days you can easily spend $40,000 on a new car and to restore one of these cars may cost you 20,000 but at the end of that. It may be worth 30,000. It may be worth but you still have all these issues are one of the other big issues besides how much it's going to cost and there's a Bible verse. Along those lines, which King doesn't sit down The cost before he gets in the war or builds your bread so his embarrassment gets halfway through and Finish but is when I am I can even be able to find the parts for this because there certain parts bit, you know, in the old days in the model to ease the malaise you could fashion those till the cows come home, but when you're talking about cars from the 70s and 80s unit is not quite the same deal as a gag. You know that the other issue is are so many aftermarket parts available.

But there's a lot of quality issues on some of that. So some of you think you're getting well. Case aquaculture. But this much the quality of the part is not really what you would want to be put know so I mean there's good quality aftermarket parts in the near some cheaper knockoff part is not as good of a quality so all this is what you need to really is a sit down you even think about that is exciting. Get your cost together talk to somebody who has some experience doing it and also where to get parts and what part you, you still can make a lot, especially body panels so restore the car you better have somebody who can fabricate body panels because that's going to have to be done in the job will not venture leisure you restored it. Don't use now you have enough seem to have gone to bring the pictures where one thought I could do this project at home in the garage and then I have got the biggest mess you've ever same on then talk about the pain. My dad is my dad was Sammy's new paints boy, would you look at the depth of of what they've done and whatever the material itself is an inexpensive Thalia humming you know your talk, but a urethane system in some of these candy colors and glamour colors mean there is some cause a halfback repacked paint and it is not unusual for me to have one or two of them come to the shop a week that has some pain on that may be $800 a pint with a base coat that doesn't count your under kosher sailors and primers and then your clearcoat on top of it. Because of this, like, you know that that's in it, the pearls that are in it is just I mean this really ain't hundred and that's your cost at 1 pint, how many times does it take the pain, but if you had to do a call you talking about you on all over. You're looking at base coat at least a gallon of base cancer then you start bringing that out of me your talk and price of a car almost to where the material that goes on it that it adds up quickly and I went and Mitsubishi has this red Pearl and is one of them. That is about $800 a pint for basecoat Nessa factory color came down. The eclipse is one of, trying to him having to do my math Kim can you help me out. Is it full-time to the gallon for gallon 4 quarts and four points in the court or courts in the gallon 16 pints and 800 and it is that you write is lower. Dad, thank you so much for sharing about your father's God. And maybe you've got one do this episode of Christian guy.

Her project survived right after this break for the last segment you can call us with your father's favorite. Would love to hear a sound like fun. Thank you dad 866-34-TRUTH 7884 so much more?

I show now time for Christian. Today's episode I Jimmy walked back towards his Jeep absolutely brokenhearted the under the hood gang are concerned about this right crane crankshaft French even my world things blow up in circular arguments. Now we can't get her bearings with no truths to hold on to know Jamie you really smell Jimmy. That's the way it is these dogs especially noticed themselves and now part two Jimmy heads off. Allie heads in the strip mall to look for those shoes.

When who should she run into Dr. for the fair vanity agency.

She told me about Mel again, remember me. I gave you my car the other day. Remember your name is Brad right to good memory and I'm sorry but I am afraid I forgot your name that's not good when I forget the name of a pretty girl like you all years we saw rye the it looks like fate that I keep running into you and just to let you know I did get that project lined up here for the next week or 20 know there I'm late for an appointment.

Sorry to run Allie but have a feeling I'll be seeing you okay perfect gentleman. Jimmy was wrong.

I know a good guy when I see one. Meanwhile, Jimmy is driving along talking like this. This girl she's dumping me something really scary medial domain to the sheriff about this doing that might be constructed. Just don't get it right side for sure she would see Jesus in Pastor Jack or inmate who is this like I did. The Sheriff's office walks in the Sheriff and Eustis are behind Jimmy you look like someone just killed your dog boy what happened you just how I feel. Sheriff just dump me for things preaching to ensure that enough the guy from some crazy fair vanity photography modeling agency during the coffee shop the other day to take some pictures for a magazine on your easily pretty creepy if you asked me anything about a stranger like that yes is another suit the other day when we met Jesus. Weren't you supposed be taking those wanted posters over the post office wanted to run on over there and let me speak to young Jimmy here. You know how postmaster Snyder gets different and when you don't keep those things up to date. Let's go over there just like something see, this is what I've been waiting for police work… It is just way. No Eustis.

We will keep the postmaster happy. This is really that big a deal sister stranger in town. It's not like it's a crime scene or anything but a good doing Eustis know the postmaster be calling any minute gone no it will take you that long gone postmaster Snyder now federal response of those posters updated every state. Jimmy boy should not to dangle that kind occurred uses.

Believe me, you have us on shutdown. Eustis would be contacting the governor for National Guard backup and a beaver County met.

Yes there I'm sorry your head about that. So let's go back to Allie the photographer, I have noticed California plates most of the coffee shop in the strip mall is around the license plate just to make sure strange though it's a rental car with enterprise so I thought to myself why would an elderly photographer car to come to beaver County. That's good work Jimmy. I'm really glad you told me about this.

Thanks, Sarah. So Nellie broke up with you. Looks like this is really anything you want to talk about, like somebody punching him in the stomach?

Right way to put it. Sheriff really is hard to figure out. I mean I just got nothing to be better than to share my faith with her now look at that's got leave me. I walk in the shoes of time or to myself trying my best.

Someone I really care about with the most important thing I could share with you.

They not only rejected Christ rejecting me along with what I'm going to thighs. Sounds like the last thing you want right now son, if you ever need Jesus's help. This is where Jesus really shines. This is working is really visible.

It's kind of his thing to touch hearts and this is a heart issue. You need to ask for his help and get quiet and just listen for your next step I promise Jesus has 140. Just don't get it. I totally understand where you're coming from Trinity almost a job one time a really good job at work for all my life.

The last thing I wanted right then was to pray, but you know a dear friend told me that I just needed to get quiet and listen.

I said to my friend quiet. I'm telling you, Jimmy never voices screaming to me to get even. It was going to be my turn to go all the way to the governor, but you know what, by God's grace I got quiet before the Lord and Jesus told me that he had a new place were he needed me to be right here County. This is where I met my wife and seven-year-old son lost. I can imagine my life without Susan as a side note, Jimmy.

Two years later the boss I was sharing Jesus with called me out of the blue to let me know he accepted our Savior and he told me he wished he wouldn't listen to me years ago that was the best advice I was ever given. Jimmy's so go get quiet and listen. Think I will go and do just that.

Sheriff you got Jimmy what you say will start you out right here Jesus. Jimmy and I need to come to know and I know whenever two Jimmy jumps into his Jeep and heads towards the mountain gang under the hood is certainly all is well French offender will not wish shack one more pain and what he means in his spot on. They don't call me Wally Jimmy right now here something to help his heart. This he reminds me of known as only it was but I loved this all this is that we given Motorola's humor is usually his cause damage to Tammy, don't be so strong month for another exciting installment of pride right here and now. Here you can review today's going on in all some stuff down the red light with me and jamming home will not fail.

He sits on you, Rod, Megan is our father's favorite last week that also you know what would it take to restore your father's favorite or these older cars. Some thoughts that go into that process and maybe your questions or comments. We would love to hear from you. 866-348-7884 866-34-TRUTH for the digitally gifted write that down fast.

We have Carrie is in stem North Carolina. She has her father's favorite Carrier on the Christian Car Guy show you waited so long. Thank you.

Well I have so much fun to go that I get to get paid to do something so fun at what what was your dad's favorite and all my heart. Colleen went to war in 1939, 40 and on. So he had it fixed up to be a hot oh man is cool, you know, Bob from 19 you politely had a show with some of his sons favorite cars out there and he had some of those hot rods parked out there, but that but I bet your dad spent some time out. You spend some time with you and I think that that's invaluable father son father daughter you know so many daughters are called in the show. Over the years at the time they spent out with their father. Note, change the oil or work on the front suspension or whatever.

You know it's it's valuable to know that you, your father wants to spend the time with you, but it's also valuable information to learn you know wow this is what a dipstick is at the stuff you take it apart. I'm afraid I am to bless you Gary thank you so much for calling and I look for to send out your certificate you to abide.

We still have time to get your father's favorite in if you'd like, 866-348-7884.

I'd love to hear it. But you know we are talking about, you know, this is the section where I do my appraisal by the real black book where we search the Bible for hidden treasure and cry out for the sermon this week I had a phenomenal thing. Interesting that when you restore a car or you see a car that's been restored if if you watch the old movie, which I don't it's it's it's not a very clean movie but it wasn't for those of us are in the car business. It was kind of classic movie called used cars and he would always talk about that this that this taxicab was coming out from underneath the car used to repaint taxicabs and so they would say all that's not a taxicabs yellow primer so underneath the car sometimes is underneath that original culture. You know what I'm saying now you have a lot of is an indication of what may really be there and taxicabs in not used car you would normally want to buy.

But the Bible has something for that. It talks a lot about masks in the New Testament, but there is a passage in the song of Solomon and those who know me well know it's my favorite book and I have studied this passage for years and years trying to understand exactly what it meant and it's it's song of Solomon chapter 5 an interesting thing I get to preach about this whole thing tomorrow.

It these church in terms of anybody wants to join us up there that be really fun but the passage talks about. At the very beginning since I've come into my garden.

My sister, my bride, I've gathered my mother with my spice in this picture of this and I've I thought for some time that this is likely a picture of our husband Jesus coming in to his garden. What garden did Jesus come into what we came in to consenting and there's another hint that this is probably a picture of Gethsemane when he asked me knocks on the door and he says my hair is wet it's it's damp from the date of the night. Well, if you remember in Gethsemane Jesus prayed so hard that he sweat great drops of blood and and so some clues inside of Avila says she slept, but her heart was awake.

What happened to the disciples. You know when they are in Gethsemane. They Fall asleep. They couldn't get up, which is kind of what happens to the beloved in this picture of the song of Solomon. Is she can't stay awake enough and they're not lovers knocking on the door and Jesus is saying get up get up.

You know their stuff going on and then he disappears and she can't find them and meet a chapters of the six verse except it's the fifth chapter of the six verse it says I opened my lover but my lover departed he was gone. My soul went out to him when he spoke. I search for him, but he didn't find.

I called for me didn't answer the guards made the rounds in the city they found me they beat me they bruise me the guards on the walls took by Vail from now I those sets of verses right there have puzzled me for years and there's time, Jerry.

I would spend weeks just trying to figure out what that meant and this week as I got ready to just share this message in Durham. It finally hit me if this is the sentiment Gethsemane and if this is a picture of this likely no matter what. It's a beautiful picture of what happened to Peter because Peter he was asleep, but his heart was awake right and then he followed Jesus and the watchmen on the walls. They did. They didn't beat Peter physically, but boy did they beat him emotionally. They said are you want to him and they took away his cloak. Think about what they did.

They took away his veil in Peter's heart.

He was not a point yet where he fully trusted what Jesus was telling him he obviously didn't fully believe that Jesus had the Solomon control and things can be knocking on his door and three day so honestly Peter was a taxicab.

He was painted yellow underneath you didn't know it and Peter didn't know it, and so at first you think with those watchmen on the walls, which are always a picture of people praying the Bible.

These watchmen on the walls did them wrong. But no, they didn't.

Whatever present they gave Peter so that he could see what was real. I've always thought of the denial of Peter's being a really horrible thing that I never thought of it being at least, it revealed what was true so that Peter knew how Satan wanted to sift them like wheat that Peter's heart wasn't right.

At that point when he denied Christ and it showed Peter something about himself when they pulled the veil off. They beat him they bruised and they took away his cloak. Now the question for all offices when were you beat when were you bruised in your mascot taken off and you saw what was really true about how you felt about Jesus that's present because then Jesus can can begin to do what he did for Peter.

He restored Peter remember the whole fireside chat things that happen when you have Jesus asking Peter do you love me, and asked him is what he's doing is he's trying to give Peter a real heart, not the one that's being covered up with the with yellow primer deal. You see the picture Jerry. Have you ever thought about that you know when your center saying that and and and you do what passes came to mind for me is Matthew 722 where where Christ is saying you know and and people come in here that judgment day.

You know why I did miracles I was a believer, I followed you, I had the bumper sticker on the car the fish. I did all the stuff you tell them you don't even know me. So that tells me is the same thing is sometimes we need to reach about responsibility as a Christian, make sure we pull that veil off of ourselves and others around us that we do have that true understanding of what Jesus Christ is and what the gospel is so amazing passage of time and enjoyed my time there this week and thinking about what my veils may look like in and some to repent up to seek out what would be revealed if you could really take a look if they put the pressure on me so primer is an important thing is that Jerry was a bad interest in car guys show in sharing your father's favorites and over the last weeks it's been so much fun and I certainly think? I think your team may do so much work is all volunteer. By the way they do it at all, just to glorify God and they are so talented and so thankful for that. Thank you for you to you for listening and for sharing the Christian card as you remember.

Slow down. Jesus walked everywhere he went, got it all done
