My 409 well proud car owners I found tend to name their cars by proud parents. So if you haven't named your car yet. So I wanted to eliminate that for a minute with a couple of stories years ago, many, many years ago.

Actually, I was a young new car sales manager who is responsible for trying to pump up dejected and disheartened sales teams and I discovered a simple but fantastically effective way to restore enthusiasm. I called it my mutual admiration society meetings and a website like this I would just look out across the sales team and I would think about two salespeople that were rivals were someone that didn't get along so well with the other one and I would ask them. I would just say hey Bill tell me about Sam and what you think why it is that you think Sam is such a tough competitor.

Why is it that piece of so many cars and course and often they were joking. Whatever. But it was my job as a sales manager to try to get something that came from the heart that Bill would actually say about Sam that was true. That was really what you know Sam did as a salesperson to be effective. What that did for obviously Sam was amazing, but it also did that for Bill and I would see this tremendous unity that would come about when you try to bring people together to see what essentially they do well and what they do better console for puma's ever get any compliments in life.

So years later, many years later, but still 20 about 20 years ago I taught high school Sunday school and at at our church here in town and you know it seem like that group was kind of bickering and whatever. And it seem like there's a place where we needed unity.

It was in the church. Oh, I came with it up with this idea that I will never ever forget II thought we need to do the mutual admiration society and Sunday's go, but we need to do it a little different way and so it looked really funny. My kids tease me a lot about it because of the time. My kids were middle school age and they saw me take these paper plates and I had just plain white paper plates and I'd taken a red piece of yarn that people could hang around each other's necks, so their plate would be on their back and then I had all these magic markers and I ask for the kids to write something on their classmates back you really see Christ in them when they do this whenever it was you. You think about that person and go right on their back. How you see Christ in them and they all in a week. We had this thing. Of course my kids that was Larry so that this bill please.

High school kids are gonna laugh at you. They're never gonna do it. This is stupid but it wasn't in fact it was amazing to see the effective what this did for the Sunday school class and the kind of unity that it brought out in everybody. And so it was an amazing thing all the stuff that road on these plates actually spent most of the class time that week doing that and a fantastic thing about that story that I love even more is a couple years later we had a reunion at Christmas time.

Of all the kids are graduating from high school there and they been on that Sunday school class and somebody mentioned the paper plates and would you believe that there were about four students that were there that day that still had their paper plate that still had what people said about them, about the way that they had reflected Christ because we get so few cop gets you so few people tell us what we did good or what we do well, you know that these things stand out in our minds and it's an amazing thing. And so today on today show. I would just like to take a few minutes and think about maybe there somebody you want to praise and talk about how you see God in them. I would love that.

And then there was the stranded couple.

I wish everybody could heard this mom's phone call to me when her family you know her daughter and her husband and three kids in the van were stuck in Waxhaw, North Carolina. But she is from New York and she was trying to figure out how to get them an alternator there on the side of the rope broke him. We we were not the winners of most dodgeball contest like this. It was a struggle and we are looked down upon. We were called the rattlesnake patrol but then a year later they had with called Klondike Derby and Boy Scouts take up a sled concert like a dog sled only.

We carry the slits in the way we plant with this group that you know we had one kid that he seemed like he was a complete nerd, but he had the gift of reading a comp and Kenny had could navigate and he knew how to do that. We had another kid. He may have been a bed wetter, but he could lash like that was nobody's business who has it.

He was a pyromaniac and no matter where we went, he would start a fire well is as we started out in the Klondike Derby.

As you can imagine that particular day. God picked it that it was such a snowstorm in the whole tall pine counsel all the is like a jamboree all the Boy Scout troops from all over the area where there everybody competing and is snowing so hard you can't see 2 feet in front of you, but there we were, and we had that one kid. He could navigate and he got us to the to our first checkpoint. We were the first ones to get there, but we didn't think much about it. What they want to do but start a fire. Well you I can still see the look at Mick's eyes with all you do start if I were two matches and became natural to him and we had a blazer you know we we went on to our second checkpoint and there you had the last some stuff together and got it given us this person who could lash and it we went on to the third checkpoint did something a first aid and then it was such a snowy day in whatever we found a really cool hill and we decided since we were gonna lose by all means where the rattlesnake patrol we were to start sweating so we start sliding down the hills and after about a couple hours without will go back know we want people to think were missing or whatever and we didn't expect anything to be different but is we start to approach the finish line.

The crowd is cheering as we have won the Klondike Derby. Nobody else even found their way to two checkpoints. The point being that God is assembled such a team unity that everybody else could look down on one thing, but each person has a unique gift that God has given us. It is his glory.

In other words, everybody is made in the image of God. You never met a mere mortal CS Lewis with an God is in their and as Christians.

What an opportunity we have to be glory detectors.

In other words, like your car finding out something you love about your car. You can look at that person in your family. You can look at that person and is sure it's easy to find out what's wrong with them, but how easy is it to call out there glory to figure out.

Wow, that person is really good, but my wife is really good with babies and so I help encourage her to work in a daycare. I don't know what it is that you and your family are in the people around you, but I can assure you one thing, they are in the image of God. Neighboring reflect him in a very unique way and by discovering that and calling that out whether they're good with the compass or whatever it is a maybe good with the computer.

Or maybe there are writer whatever it is I can assure you.

Few people ever complement them.

In fact, Satan has been attacking them their whole life telling them they're no good.
