I need you to send me I need some new snow tires. My car is held together by a chicken wire. Coloradans know you know the way my line item that is needed and I start training man narrowing radio and a rolling and drive his ability to live. I think no.

Maybe you had something along those lines already this winter we would love to hear your story. Call us lines open and we've got one that we would love to hear your story on 866 the number.

Call 866-348-7884 drifting or sliding away adventure drama, adversity. I just love those stories and I'd like to hear how God came for you in the snow. Collis, 866-348-7884 in here to help us slip sliding her very own Christian insurance guy Bill Mixon with nationwide bill sliding can have consequences right at had many calls over the years were somebody said I couldn't help but it was a slate of ice.

It is to be comprehensive as it did you collide with something. Well yes I said collide collision. The most important thing in those conditions is to play first God.

Do you really went me out in this weather. If you hear God say yes I would challenge you pray to God again, help me with my hearing stuff but yeah there are consequences sometimes but you know you might have your snow story. I just wanted to share this with a bit comical maybe, maybe not. In 19 I would go back a ways. Bill 1984. If you can picture the scene.

The price of oil drops drastically and I lived at the time in Grand Junction, Colorado which the main thing that people did in Grand Junction, Colorado. 90% of people work for Exxon and Exxon. They mind oil shale and so on. The price of oil dropped Exxon literally in the middle of the night right by Thanksgiving time put lock on the gate, and nobody in Grand Junction had a job that 90% of well the Christian card I was working at a car dealership there and literally there were more cars being repossessed in the month of November than they were being purchased. It Was watching this mass exodus from Grand Junction and the apartment complex. I lived in at the time I was the last person is about 300 units. I was the last family to leave because everybody just left. There was no money because there were no jobs and I heard of all things, that there was a lot of banking in North Carolina. You wonder how Robbie ended up in North Carolina I heard that of the banking expert was excellent and the economy was great so I decided that I would pack up the Ryder truck and drive to North Carolina via the snow and at the time my wife had a 1977 Pontiac Grand Prix that we were in a tow behind this Ryder truck mount when we get up the morning was posted leave town.

It's snowing now Grand Junction, Colorado is on the western side of Colorado. Meaning it's on the other side of the Continental divide, and if it's snowing you need to get out of Dodge because you can't climb over the mountain after it snows, you know, 3 feet on it.

They won't go close to passes and you can get out and so were out of money without a tie fleet get going and were low. This Ryder truck as fast as we can while the snow is falling. I had to set the scene for so the snow is either and I totally love the moving van and on. It's a 22 foot. It's a big and when I did I get done I come to my wife, my wife and I say honey worst the keys to your car, and she says well you member that box. The first would we put the eggs. I love the ad where you put the boxes you know, at the very front and the furniture is at the back and I was like oh my word, and we don't have that snowing and it's snowing hard and I'm thinking I don't have time so I literally take the driveshaft on the Pontiac. This is real drive so I client I gotta take the driveshaft up until it that far anyway so I take the driveshaft out and then the steering wheels locked inside pull off the the horn coverings got these little fingers that keep the steering wheel locked and I bend each one of those outs of the spinning wheel can turn because in order tow car that father still wheels got him to turn so I could literally have no driveshaft I can push the car over and hook it into the dolly were amended. Tow it right and it's snowing hard and it's getting dark and I'm freaked out. It's been a bad it's been a bad day and so I finally get it hooked up and we started up the mountain and we don't go very far and I mean it's like for the snow and this tow truck this this moving truck had no snow tires. We didn't have any chains and it sliding around and were talking about going over the mountain Colorado. This is serious and a lot of edit dollar you didn't pray before you start. I was given a Christian to live as though it's rare that God would've really tied to so I've got my wife, my son in the car. I am terrified as you know, every time you go around the curve in the course you going up the mountain and in order to get over the past you get a bill of speed with the challenges. If you've ever driven a Ryder truck down the mountain. There is the tale. You gotta be in a lower gear. In fact, it would be really good if you could be in second year and is a standard transmission, but you have an SP going up the mountain in order to get over the top without it sliding on the ice and so it's really a challenge.

So I'm I am trying to go as far as I can so I can keep my momentum to go over the top of the past and as I clearest the top crest the top. I'm going to fast to downshift and I'm grinding out of you know what I mean by double clutching, but that's what you gotta do latte at a solution like JLI a you know what I'm talking about you revved up the engine because now I've got to somehow another get this rig, which has the Pontiac behind this 22 foot stomach hurt. I gotta get this thing. It's a good year and I'm going about 25 miles now and it you've heard some the grinding of gears in your life that you never heard anything like this but it was panic time because if you don't get it in that gear you are currently in the ice and snow you listen, this is with a car swinging back and forth. There they go.

There's a picture from another God came through four means by the fact that I didn't know him and I didn't pray that he would do it a little play it at that point but I will guarantee you I will never, ever, as long as I live, ever forget those moments on the ice that my favorite cashier. My favorite U-turn in the second my first have to tell the listeners that we do have an episode of Christian card I theater Jesus jeeps and jubilation coming up.

We got an appraisal by the real black book, like how to get traction in the word of God and we need to hear your stories and 866-34-TRUTH 87884 866-34-TRUTH. We would love to hear that we can hear from the Jesus labor love participant when, the break, but Bill go ahead now in North Carolina when I was in high school high school students drive the school bus.

A month after I got my drivers license. I was driving away.

Hello Chuck a battle not yet the we had better safety records and the old folks down in South Carolina. We didn't do a bad job but picture this brand-new kid new driver is never ever driven on snow before crawling behind the steering wheel of this great big PC yellow metal and for some reason and wake County. They didn't believe in putting tread on school bus tires. I've never had a blast with tread on the back tax.

So I tested it in this great big parking lot and you know if you're driving a school bus and 2 inches of snow and you hit the break really hard back into the bus will pass the front end of the bus. Your experience that the aim is really really really fun. I think it was 75 Allied that was it was right after I got Bella there were no students in the bus upon another note, I did a little practice in before I did that and it did.

It was an experience I will never forget or your parents like what they say is you left that morning like bill if you prayed and I really had a deep faith that did not buy Boy Scout troop took us to quit Fellowship of Christian athletes function and I accepted Christ. There's development and Moose wars. Who is it NC State football, basketball and baseball star but it it was still an interesting the so what is your story.

When God came through for you in the snow. 866-348-7884's number to call him we have an update on the Jesus labor, love of family that really receive some wonderful help to have her overcome anomaly come back. We need your story 866-34-TRUTH you call so much more for show, he is the one where were you slipsliding away in the snow you listen to Christian Car Guy show. We would love to hear your snowstorm course. We have some snow tips coming up and some ideas insurance wise on ways to protect yourself, we need to hear your snow story. 866-34-TRUTH 87884 and we would mention that all this information as well as the next episode of Christian Car Guy theater is a Christian card guide.com as well as hundreds of articles and podcasts of previous shows one of the things it Christian Car Guy.com is the Jesus labor of love in the Jesus labor love's car repair labor for single moms widows families in crisis and you know that part of the ministry of the Christian Car Guy show never ceases to really just amaze me and blow me away at what God does in these circumstances, and I thought you might want to today hear from one of the I guess applicants is the best way to put it. We have Christian Caskey witness and she made an application just this week is her family was struggling with a car that they just purchased a Christian I let you tell the story I want to think it might start evolve from our family really don't know the blessing that it then I'd enjoy that and brought into our house just in the past hours spent in our car fake it started this timber about the member first my car down and you really don't understand how big of an issue that is until it there, you know, we've got four children. I have been had been out of work that we were kind of behind in it with the holiday season. We we had one means of transportation and that was that.

And you know we we thought well and I will make it through that goal will kind out gay and I can't say they can't participate in their afterschool activities and their things and and as time went on we got further and further behind. And you know it County becomes the whole that you can't really get yourself out event then you know that stress level. You know it's it's a burden on my Bennett that burden on Alpine and of course being happy to be dependent upon you and everyone else in our family. My dad hated it. He went in at half to get I can take back to the grocery store take. I know wherever we would need to gather like a family at Dagestan unit we'd have to cut back on thinking my little Preston and Ashton and eight-year-old they let you know think mom want to go here and mama, you know, can we play coherently break my heart might have a willing police can't be that we can't do that with you guys in that last night we got we got in the car for the first time.

I think all of us and them only to mind and not my two middle children prep and Ashton there kind of the voices of our family.

They cut mom Tina.

We don't go anywhere but get to school and I thought all my goodness and he said I'm so happy we just went to go get pizza and and and and you would a finding that we take us back to how you heard about Jesus labor.

Love the house how that happened that you got connected to. Well, not my dad that we were did I get it yet. I kept praying and praying and would get that fixed. Get that fixed that my dad is a delivery driver and get that happened to be listening here so and I can hear radio station and he called me up and that lesson I want you to try care and apply for that I want to call or do whatever you have to do that fee if they can help you it Christian Car Guy I and I thought well you know I don't have never heard of Bannon.

You know maybe I'll look into it and you know I thought well it's probably something that may help. Then I saw the website now looked on it and I started looking at everything I thought to myself and Ellen I thinking out. Well, maybe this will work. Maybe we can get that belief in an application and you know the next morning you called me Ronnie the next morning that I will. I mean II back to how fast God largely been fitting let out a car from next to my and and this pending application, and the next morning he called and how it that I mean outline away. I can't believe how fast everything I thought I told my dad I thinking out at we've been struggling this long and then pinning an application to you and you know it for work through and some of the details that I think you're amazing that since husband got a job but his new boss was very anxious on how he was given be able to get to work, especially coming Monday because Monday is going to work every college and play that long and we can keep our faith in the next been the main thing in our family. Keep your faith if you can just keep your faith even through hard times like that.

I got Connie yesterday. Robbie and I can throw in some else a quick hello hello this is awesome I really really appreciate but the other thing that happened was obviously because her husband starting the job Monday we I was really stressing that we needed to be able to pick up the car yesterday and they called they said to get it done while the way that it happens is we have a PayPal account that's connected to Christian card.

I.com. We also have donations that come in by mail that we had the money to cover the repair the part of the repair that we were planning Christian pay part of it, but the money was in our checking account, not in our PayPal account where I need to use the credit cards we had no way in the short timeframe to get the money from my checking account to the PayPal accounts that I could pay the bill so she could pick up the car web I been through this before and where I was like oh now I need to have that in the account this afternoon, or otherwise we can't put it on the credit card after mail a check or what wealth the fascinating wish this were put into this and actually Kristin liar talking about the situation. A donation comes in over the PayPal account of the exact amount. I will exact amount that we needed came in on the PayPal account and we were able to immediately call the people that helped us and and get the thing set up so that she could pick up her car and I got it.

Just tell you that it was just a moment of faith for both of us right asking like the right guy watching slightly negative and he will make it happen again. All this information is a Christian Car Guy.com under the Jesus labor of love is autocratic and sees the limited the right. Kristin was here. I think family murder. Thank you. We got a story come up in the snow we need yours call us 866-34-TRUTH welcome back to the Christian Car Guy show today.

We are slipsliding around in the snow. We would love to hear your story of what happened with you through his may have been your challenge. We got some tips coming up on how to drive us there was some insurance tips but we'd love to hear from you. 866348788 force number to call in 866-34-TRUTH 87884 and is always all this information is it Christian card.

I.com all about the Jesus labor love, we just talked about Kristin and what's going on with that Christian card I theater there so many resources there. Check it out. We got Harold is in Knoxville, North Carolina. He's got a snow story for snow on snow always in Knoxville, but maybe Harold where did you see the snow prove it it done snow all that often hear about you many years ago I walked down snow ball in a little while. Probably not for the road so I don't than my Little euro headed out. I got a phone how it for an out behind somebody that was going about 30 miles an hour.

I thought this thing to work. We got a big client before so at the first opportunity I accelerated all around them. Got up about 45 Rear Engine Way over my drive wheel barrow. I was just tracking beautifully and I thought okay this is working and but counter to what I really knew which was about 30 to 35. Well when I got down to the bottom of the hill before going up the long hill toward the National Guard Armory first thing I know I'm get back. I didn't have a chance to correct or anything and I split it up. Luckily for me it was nothing and I split up the hill a little like backward and all) by and course the plastic backend of my little hero and sat there all week because records were so busy and on Monday when I pulled it out from the crack Wingfield wanted, but anyway was one of those things where the world moment activity overwrote good judgment of many years of practice driving my Lyons I down in Alabama where I grew up but we really didn't know it turned out okay. I didn't have any injury or that Les must know story that's cool things that you know that intentional life that you never forget. So God bless you know I appreciate you calling with that today okay thanks for your I also need to dad a little caveat to that the story I told about coming back from Colorado but you can imagine what a 1977 Grand Prix might look like after it's been behind a writer truck through the mountains of snow in Colorado. It it had about 2 inches of salty residue. All dirty so you can really see inside the car.

In fact, you can see around it all. So I had not noticed something that happened that I had put my grandmother's African which is that that sort like a blanket that she had actually crocheted are made by hand in the front seat of that Grand Prix well remember the story where I took the fingers of the locking mechanism and bent them out so that I could just twist the steering wheel or if you are in a car that was being told, you would see the steering will twist back and forth, back and forth every time you go around the curve and if you're going up a mountain that steering wheels turning a whole lot was somewhere around I don't first two or 3 miles. Apparently, I don't know because the car was so covered in salt that I could see it. It picked up my grandmother's African with these little pointed fingers and it proceeded to whip the African into lint because you can imagine, it went back and forth so you can see inside the car, but you happen bill when you're out when we finally will desired will Shirley I don't know what your driving was like the what you're going up the mountain road is real twisty and so we open up the door the Grand Prix. As you might imagine, I mean it was all in and there was no nothing left my grandmother African so we do need to get these tips and and and Harold brought up a good point. My number two tip which are moved to because it was along his line slow down yes but keep enough momentum and speed to go up hills. You don't want to power up the hill, but you want to approach the hill enough speed to keep even on the accelerator going up and down the pathway. The cars creeping at 10 miles an hour to tend to get stuck on the hill and the worst thing you do is stop running the number one tip I have is triple your following distance at least if you're nice even further than that and triple the distance at which you begin to break because you don't know how long it's gonna take when you're stopping the ice and you don't a lot of people when they're first driving on snow. I noticed about my kids when they saw the ice patch coming. That's when they decided they needed hit the brakes don't do that when you see the ice patch coming. That's when you don't steer you don't touch the brakes.

You just ghostwrite over that whole thing and everything still be okay. I always need to say. Never ever ever use cruise control and slippery weather of any kind, because it cruise control does not know what the actual speed of the car.

Is it only knows what what speed the tires returning and so you can get in a horrible accident using cruise control and slippery weather. Some never ever ever use cruise control and my last tip of my five tips or don't stop if you can avoid it. Especially on the hill. Try to anticipate stoplights changing and you take this take it easy come up the stoplights we don't have to come to a complete stop because it makes I've got to tips that this is coming from a person whose first experience on snow was in a school bus driver. Wait until you have to go somewhere in bad weather.

If you know there's bit. Good try out your driving skills in a nice big open parking lot. Find out what it's like to step on the brake when you don't have anything around you and please with your young drivers when it's bad weather let you young drivers drive let them experience what's going on with you next to him in the car taken to a nice parking lot when there's ice or snow and let them experience all that we can find are flat part yeah wait until there all by themselves in a nice expensive oil in the summer emergency happens, we have to get out into it is nothing like experience, you know, again, for me at and I was old is the guy that Kristin will talk about him 61 but still after every first snow I like to test my wings a little bit before I get out budget because you lose some of that edge that you get by driving in the snow so that first snow of the year. You gotta be extra cautious because it takes you a while to get back in the swing that Mott might third suggestion is to put that young driver in the car when it's below freezing and let them turn on the windshield wipers let them hit the button where that water sprays of the windshield and the world disappears is the scariest thing in my life was driving down the highway that will be a clear button had the world disappeared yeah yeah and that the fogger certain circuits handed. Now those are all things that you got a test but were to move into our appraisal by the real black, but that's because we got a Christian card I theater episode coming up in the last segment. That's where we search the Bible for hidden treasure in your talk about how to get traction in the word if you're slipsliding in the word.

How is it that you might get traction doing that and start at seven tips dominant share real quick and Bill Scott wanted to number one.

I recommend playing asking the Holy Spirit to help you because you don't stand much of a chance without his help in reading or for God so prayers number one number two is misunderstood words do you know the definition of the words in the passage so often I I sit there look at the reason I don't understand it is because there was a word in there.

I just really didn't understand what that word meant. Number three is a good commentary. I personally love Matthew Henry, and there's nothing like reading somebody else's opinion of what it says. Not that I necessarily take that number four is if you get a like a reference place like blue letter back Bible they will show you every cross reference to the passage a blue letter Bible. It's a wonderful nothing on the Internet for me use a lot, but on any given passage or any given verse they'll show you every cross reference to that verse and cross-references to reverse have a lot of teaching you of what's going on in the verse, and it also that same black blue letter Bible Apple give you the interlinear which is the original language whether his Hebrew, Greek, whatever it was, and it will show you those words in those definitions and what perhaps they mean and anyplace else that they were used in the Bible, which is extremely helpful. Number six, tip is right down what it is that you think it means there's nothing like writing it out and number seven is go teach it sign-ups to teach Sunday school or somewhere and there's nothing like getting into that and deal you got a couple tips real quick to figure out he's talking to. They're talking to, whether they're talking this saved person, a Pharisee, deceitful, and then put yourself in that all the blessed the point you get traction of the Scripture and in a minute. You can enjoy another edition of Christian card I theater and jubilation that are coming up on the Christian heart time, now Christian. Today's episode Jesus is the unchristian card I theater we heard that Allie Jimmy's girlfriend escaped Brad her evil kidnapper and is now recovering and safe at home with her grandparents while Pastor Jack and Miss Annie have arranged a little celebration party at the church rally grandparents of Artie gone to the church to see everyone.

Jimmy's parents and grandmother. Jimmy picked up Allie in his Jeep.

It's been restored since Allie's rescue is a whole lot of celebrating going on at the church. You and the sheriff were so heroic. Eustis and boy were we praying for you guys how we were trying so hard and you're right.

The Lord was with you guys. He treats amen to that. We were really feel those prayers. I see out there and then I decided I was just going to mark down the my only got my hand out amazing is financing. Pray that he would duck your head that didn't work. Miss Bonnie unintended and she seems to be the operative word uses all you wish not sheltering the time you Eustis can't understand is how did you see Jeep in the dark with entreaties year and that she found Shinichi got a story for not going up there.

I think we believe just about anything at this point, Eustis. We serve a God of impossible possibilities. You can say that again honey and that the fact that Jimmy's Jeep went crazy and beat upon that word miracles she just sort of blew out that that guy Brad the photographer didn't know what all the parts where all come fluently.

But what was amazing is that the reason we spotted the Jeep is because the sheriff and I saw yeah I know it sounds crazy right there where the laws we sell it.

When we drove by and headlights hit this crystal that was hanging on Jimmy's rearview mirror and I about and later we found out it right now to love another person is the same God, give me find one of my mother's personal I have a feeling we're going to be talking about these miracles for a long time, especially when Allie and Jimmy get here appraisal. Thank you honey and rain raised. Meanwhile, Allie and Jimmy are driving to the church is really looking forward to seeing you Allie fine. They were praying. I will not try to be pushy about prayer. Jimmy me I need to apologize to you need to apologize now just listen to you for this terrible stuff tracing your faith to me.

I think I do. Maybe really that's great Allie running spring. I would get some not even everyone real reason: because I can't stand help to turn control of my life over to someone else think is only backed my pants died and I ended up with my grandparents give me wrong I love them all my heart is awfully hard to be six years old until so helpless. It must've been my life.

I need to be well maybe a little box little I make jokes sorry no it's okay now this. You know stuff with Brad photographer during the kidnapping, everything.

This is absolutely helpless allowing Jimmy this time it was kind of different ways you had to drag him right. The car parts of been listening as Allie pours out her heart. I have some opinions of their own. Jimmy tensioner says time I need to I don't like to admit it: the right we don't control nothing but drive you think race against thing.

Now that I think I'm really in the shallow man here in line in great we all know the whole weapon will we about one and leading the way and the way that while he would owe just please join in action will you and a Jimmy's program to calm down the wind you want me to stop you something Allie Jimmy mean me.

The Lord will we tune in next time to see what Allie prays with Jimmy, it might have something to do with bad people and now Randy radiator in any dipstick that had their jubilant thoughts to the show kidnapper will be spending time Jeep first preferred joy like love you really like a pineapple believe in but Falcons sweep inside Whitmore. I like that the pineapple in one way or another kidnapper.

Thank you. This episode of Christian card I theater Jesus jeeps and jubilation was written by an old, produced and directed by the Christian car guy.
