He has instructions that are wide so wisdom instructs us that death is life's mode and the increase of life is through repeated death.

Alice met death is life's mode and increase of life is through repeated death. So with all that. How in the world can we bury our car dead in hopes that it will bear fruit. Well, first it has to die. In other words, you have to pay it off. Be that one payment at a time or two payments are altogether.

As soon as possible, and that by the way, I never advocate going crazy on this and and and and just make absolutely sure that you don't have absolutely no card that I'm not necessarily advocating a be good if you don't, but sometimes you have to understand, but then you don't have to go crazy. If you tell others the benefit of being out of debt you have change the form and taken your cross by sharing your story of death in bondage and share life and freedom. In other words bear much fruit. If you think about it you know it's really a beautiful thing. So in order to get this out of the dark and into the light. We've got to share the story night of our failures and so we've got some of those failures that were to share today. We don't want to waste a good weakness.

We want to like Paul said therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so the power of Christ may rest upon me.

Yes, I was foolish of me personally. Robbie, I was foolish.

I ran up all kinds of debt. I had card that I'd credit card debt, yet Christ set me free from what not trusting God to meet my wants before I could afford them. And so if I tell the story. People can relate to my foolishness so much more than they could relate to my arrogance or my self-righteousness. So don't waste a good weakness so it and bear much fruit. Don't let your failure not see the light of day by never tell anybody about. So on this Mother's Day Eve. This is my first Mother's Day with my mother in her honor. So for the people to relate to life story while I'm in the middle one really what you have and maybe you could get by purchase the vehicle that I'm in back in September. I'm sorry. July 2015 2013 found out purchase it with hundred and I'm sorry with 52,000 miles on it and I purchase it, purchased it to become a newer driver and I did become a neighbor driver and I think I'm I guess I bought it for about $25,000. That's what the original debt was an agreement for two years now I have 152,000 miles on it.

It is a Honda so with if I remain a grace car driver and I get enough grace may still get out of that that I still ($18,000 on and that very probably only in the neighborhood of thousand dollars. Yes, I'm you find yourself asking questions for small okay is do you still need that much vehicle. Well, I've got no drive regularly and and it does pay me real well okay that's not how I make you sick $700 a week driving which covers the cost of the car and heard that the payment of the car that what what bothers me about it is it seems that that I am depreciating the car much faster than the normal car would depreciate and instead of saving up on that appreciation I am spending that to make my house payment.

That's part of life and I know Dave Ramsey and I would differ right here but that's okay.

This is certainly got a lot of stuff going form and by no means but I disagree with him on most things, but right here is a place that I would think that if you keep making the payments on the other thing now that the vehicle has is that many miles on it. The maintenance on it is going to begin to increase to and so you gotta kinda set aside some money, and even think through okay I'm in a be in a paying for a transmission at some point in the next 40 50,000 miles. Maybe I might be needing a timing belt.

I might be needing this and that and so there's there's cost that are coming at you. Besides the monthly payment and insurance and stuff like that. There's no doubt about that but the way that the loan was set up, you will pay it off and when it is paid off, you will have a car that you've known since you originally got it is meeting your need. If you need the extra space and it is a struggle ended.

You do have to kinda dig to figure out ways to meet all your obligations because you found yourself there. But for a lot of us the way that we eventually got out of the bondage was with.

We paid off the original loan and then we we kept the vehicle that we had without going crazy and you know in a second mortgage on our house and things like that so my my advice barred me. My advice would be first of all, pray a lot and and and ask God is this is this still the vehicle that you think is this make sense and and and and clearly his leadings way more important than mine. Along those lines for a lot of folks if they just pay off that car and don't do it again and then share the story on how God helped him through it.

Also on know what's your story of of something that literally was your failure but God brought you life from it. And now you're going to use that as a springboard and so into other people's lives. I promise to tell my mother story if she was here, which only she was this Mother's Day you see her. The weakness that that she would boast about. Quite often, if you know she had an opportunity to share and I've heard the story many times and actually if you listen to show for years. You probably heard the story before two but when I was about 11 years old my mother attempted suicide and she really, really struggled and I won't go into all the details of how bad it was, but it took her a number of years actually to recover from the attempt that she had an what happened was, there was a pastor that asked for a very direct question that really made an impact on her being able to die to what it was that was causing her so much pain and what it happened was her grandmother had died and she wasn't allowed to mourn and actually she lost a baby. My big brother was well before I was born I had a brother that died and she wasn't able to mourn with that and she really, really struggled and apparently she wasn't able to forgive herself and so this pastor quoted my mother, the famous you know to love your neighbor as yourself.

And he said Margie which is my mother's name Margie. How can you love others. If you don't love yourself, and she realized it inside that question was. I haven't forgiven myself For not wanting for my grandmother. I haven't forgiven myself for what happened with my son and and it and it really comes down to Jesus paid enough for that that I could forgive myself and that struggled our conscience is one of the most difficult struggles but as my mother learn to love herself is where the recovery came but had she held that all inside.

She never would've sown the seeds of life that she sewed to somebody Methodist women's groups and places that she would speak around the country are after that because you see she took her weakness and boast about it. She would tell people that she attempted suicide.

She would tell them that she learned to love herself so that she could love her night you see in doing so she brought life from death row we have. I wanted to share one other, and then I've never told the story on the air, but in order to post on my weaknesses and get the stuff out of the dark. I got to take certain tell sort of a difficult story for me. Probably one of my weakest moments was when I wanted to buy the Chrysler dealership in Marksville, North Carolina and when I originally was approached by a Chrysler told me that they would give me the money to biotin so I didn't see that that was a probably told me to go get a buy sell agreement and it was like 1/2 $1 million that I didn't have that. They assured me that they would loan me the money. Well, when it came time to actually get them on from Chrysler. They were like Robbie, we thought you had more money than this you knocking to be able to. We can't tell you that much, or can have to go find some other investors or something like that and I went and met with my attorney and he said Robbie what you need to do is working to set up the scheme. It was a scheme where you go out and get investors because we only have $35,000 and we needed a half-million, he said, but we will ask everybody to put in money for the shares of stock and we we will give you half of the stock even though you're only buying you know essentially 1/10 of the amount of money that we needed in order to get it and we won't tell the other shareholders at their desk and assume that you must have have to start because your paper. At the start since you had 50% is essentially it was a scheme and I knew it at the time and I was a Christian at the time but I was so scared because he was afraid the people in assuming that I went in the buy sell agreement with and I felt like Chrysler and told me the complete truth of what was going on and unfortunately I went along with the lawyers idea and oh my word, and we we bought the dealership and it worked just like you said it was gonna work until about three months into the dealership.

It came out what I had done the other stockholders while the other stockholders were like my mother and my best friends and people that worked with me and it was it was like Robbie if you just told us the truth. If you trusted us as you trusted God in all this with the bit is likely so unfortunately I think part of the reason that my dealership failed was that it was built on a foundation of fear. It was not built on a foundation of trust.

I didn't think God would meet the need.

If I was honest and asked that I feel horribly but the truth is that he's received me and now I get to do this car. So in spite of the fact of this horrible for my life now realizing that I can most of my weaknesses, because Jesus took those nails on the cross to forgive me for that is that all my stockholders eventually forgive me for what I did and we went on and ran the dealership for 10 years at but again it's Christ the hero of the story and by planting and selling these seeds and in transforming our failures by the light that God gave us and bring them out of the lights of the people see him.
