Today's episode jailhouse that Brad is been recaptured and back in the hospital at the good bad news is that the nefarious new ours now planning to move next door to NATO's garage doors business of buying for auto parts you might wonder why I knew Warren inside Lou are afraid of being recognized by Brad's daughter Christie since they did. After all, kidnapper, but you are in lieu and disguise themselves when they are with Christie that set up new ours archrival crime boss Angelo and his like you may need to take the rap for kidnapping Christie and now some more good news, share framers finally back from Denver and his deputy Eustis, let's just say Eustis. You got some explaining to do. You provided Mr. so much will thanks Eustis, I'm still flabbergasted about what's happened since it been away. According to Georgina youth jailbreak kidnapped dog. Not to mention the kidnapped girl in Glenhaven that turns out to be bad. Brad's daughter and now Brad is back in the hospital.

Maybe I just need to go back to Denver because I understand you handle board the last week than we did in the last two years locked up Brad to begin with.

Before you let me tell you a lot prayers have been answered since since you were gone and now is prayer for me was my prayer for you to get back, I learned the hard way that the bullet yeah it's hates TB DTP shortcut for yes I remember Eustis but I want you to know how proud I am of the job you did here. It takes great faith Eustis to believe God is with you in such life-and-death situations you confronting Brad again after he almost killed you took phenomenal courage which really shows how your faith in the Lord is growing, Eustis. Let's talk about this kidnapping business.

One of the world is this about Brad's daughter and some crime boss named Angelo, and his many and any what we have on them. How are you keeping Christie safe okay share the scoop about Angelo and now the state trooper got the one who Christie is to send the sheriff fall into the trap to go after Angelo has been inventing wire himself has come to town to meet with me about purchasing the property for their new fine for auto parts plan next in the garage. I'm guessing you must be Mr. good morning call me out. This is my assistant is a peaceful place already.

Michael you know you match a young feller now what you named after the Old Testament prophet. Peter's hometown there, so fascinated by that story in the Bible where you know those friends lowered the man through the roof. It she'd love you so much even fancy Batman name in Hebrew means that you actually came along well yeah Jesus caught everyone by surprise when he pulled his even before Jesus healed, especially the Pharisees sees don't like Jesus too much. You know that I can see why your mother and speaking of that property over there is the perfect acreage for what we need for a completely pollution free fight for auto parts plant would be completed position to the beaver County employment possibilities talking hundred and 25 jobs he all great the way my friends call me may go away. And that's right knee, whom know who is the Hebrew pronunciation is more organized but when in America may whom it is it a real pleasure to meet a man knows his Bible looks like the new R has made it out of his hand.

Later that day the know are in lieu, discuss their strategy was. It's like taking with this Bible stuff you knew nothing about any Christian cross and sign with a name like that big fish in the barrel sea of Galilee patient that I'm a genius. Allie Perkins, she's just a means to an end.

It's a grandfather, Bob, I need to know years ago he invented a rubber compound that last twice as long as conventional rubber tires, wiring insulation, and things like that I could've made millions what he will share the plans. Would anyone. He said he would never what bio degree and it would hurt the environment.

Please boss yeah I tried and tried to get the formula out of put the squeeze on his son. 15 years ago I was trying to make a son, Bob Junior, not that he could refuse killed trying to get away ran off the road. That's why Allie lived with her grandparents yet. Bob Junior should've cooperated. But Bob Perkins seen never what happened. So I just figured I'd bide my time to that little girl… Close and I think the time is come.

You know what I mean. I think this will be a great negotiating pool while Jimmy Herring figures he can finally get back from Eustis Sheriff Mike Eustis was born in the police manual. It's okay, you did a great job of the sheriff is gone.

Can I get my Fernando fuel injector start spring break for a change around here all see you also very funny, very funny when it's no wonder we get in trouble.

We do mostly motor boy increasing gas tank was approach the Lord one single rinse fighting right here on the radiator to review no claim one. See you Christian Robbie use them here.

It is my partner, but this morning he has taken a trip somewhere behind the wheel and have a great show this morning. Also in the studio with me is Darren DeWitt with colors and talk a little bit about you know the industry as far as applies to the body shop and also just the supplies that is available just two individuals in doing the stuff at home on their own to talk about that. What also been talk about some training and how important that is. And also with the colors – they've had been a busy year this year and they've think about a lot of things going on, don't you build a new facility here in Winston-Salem mandates its it's been a challenge and a blessing all riflemen to get the first we have Sam with the Ford Motor Company.

I want to go ahead try to get Sam Sam to hear me okay Sam here now I I will I hear there's a lot of changes also with the Ford Motor division. In particular, you think you and talk about the expedition we got it 24 to becoming probably closer to the end of fall. We want people to be thinking about it because right now with Labor Day being one last summer travel times for family as well as back to school and a you know you get tagged for carpal duty and you have a three row vehicle you're pretty popular first. Now the key with the expectation and I think where I feel comfortable in the data. Three. And I know some of the National Lampoon's vacation movie look like a documentary approach. If we cannot help. Yes, vehicle you probably the best job in the second row to the cargo area back to the vehicles and their interclass sport-utility large very popular item right now for you and I know you talked to one of the things which connect to believe that's available next edition because I know when I load it happens best when my daughter was younger and Franzen is a buddy fighting over that one.

One plug in some of these vehicles have more activity than my first apartment we've got Wi-Fi hotspot with 10 different device that wants to get away from the vehicle. Now you know kids in device days with the exit games or movies friend you know it becomes a very quiet ride in a stress free ride down the road for a few hours with those with kids occupied. Also in that second row can help with that kind activity or at least a product of that byproduct of his gift to rear seat headrest screen they are on the second seat facing those pastors must like you are planing you know you're going for a long flight. It's always a relief. See those because you know it it's great way to fill the time. Catch up and PlayStation never looked at this pretty happy kids that there just a piece of the notice of the stuff is just that when you fall down the season basically use it is a cargo van. Helen Sants, that is actually my favorite features because in the back cargo area.

You'll see a series of and those funds are configured like the road dwelling pushingbutton ending in different configurations you can bring it down to 4040 40 split brain down so you do have that flat load floor. If you have the extended version which is our expedition Mac or by a piece of plywood in there and still shut tailgate when closing that based on yet another inch. Moreover, our current model that the things exciting and just drivability across the right ability. Maybe he's better way to put it. I mean it just seems like now you just more more comfort into that vehicle. Well, absolutely.

And you know I'm I'm 5 foot nothing right so I need a running start to jump up and way you get on it exactly right drivability feels very curly and you have with the addition you have the ability on the turn of a dial dial in specific row conditions are coming for paper example of the rainy day or rainy evening and you put on the slippery mode on that dialed the bench and just give you that much more tractor that much more stability to get you there.

And if you're in muddy condition. Same deal. You're able to turn that dial any kitchen to these different mode help with the drive sounds great and you know I'm just glad you called this morning to hear little bit about the new expedition. When is the only car lot you go to the end of November sounds great and once again thank you for calling for let you go.

One thing was the one feature that you think is for you. The most important feature that vehicle one. I love second row seat and that second row she had not only flip forward because of that flat load floor provided by the independent bench track is longer, therefore, that flip farther forward and allow for greater access to the third row have 1/3 row getting back there again. It doesn't serve the purpose this with the push of a button left even keep a baby in there not have to take baby with feet. I would recommend taking the baby out by but the idea that that can hold that much forward and allow that much greater access to the third row with the ease of a button.

I'm a big fan either by old age so that my faith okay to be a lot of Pearson will brief you on that young kids crawling over each other try to get third row back grateful colony and glad you gave us a call and look forward to seeing the new expedition on the car lot now on the road soon. Once again thanks for giving us a call. Let me think. All right. Thank you once again will be right back with a couple of paint and then training and all the goes to that and also some poor transition forest pain industry in the automotive industry is will things not to do one never to do your vehicle.

Once again, this is a call-in show, give us a call 866-348-7884. Once again, welcome back to Christian radio I'm hearing his body shop and wrecker service.

In this video with Karen to whip me how can the cause. Also keep her hands in her eyes on the road okay right off the bat.

I want will things to never do your car not computer software jump in there whenever I go through them and while we shouldn't do these things are car the first thing is never put off recommended maintenance on your vehicle.

Pretty simple question how easy is that today I mean all changes you have checking your fluids.

So many people just put it off and then we see the results of that pension are in the towing industry because with toe in those cars in I with a broke down side of the road another thing never do never ignore any warning lights on your – there's a reason for those lights you don't you don't want to just stick some tape over them and or just pretend they're not there because you get big repair bills coming down the road and this comes from a guy that has a fleet of vehicles and when I will when my drivers kind of ignore those lies, because I sometimes feel it's not there.

Car sometimes and all of a sudden it just breaks down on them and work on Ray's body shop wrecker service to come to our car back to the store and that's when you realize that hey these lights serve a purpose and sees just over overlooking number three thing never rib your engine doing the winter on a coat, cold startup and you know what never rib your engine when you first crank the car up anytime and to be doing the winter that vehicle, the agent, all is not circulated and you can do some real damage to the vehicle. I revving the engine.

You think that by revenue.your eating it up and warm it up really just do a lot of damage there for thing never run your gas tank down the empty and I'll admit I and you know what happens is when you run your gas tank down the empty was in the bottom that gas tank. Darren a lot of dirt sludge oil somehow letting any kind of contaminants that have been in that gas settle down to the bottom of that tank and then that starts really kind of making that fuel pump really really work overtime get plugged up and then now you got even a bigger issue to be heaven replaced your palms you can have all your filters of the clutter. Plus the damage of running that step through the engine. It messes up the firing of the vehicle you put in more particles inside the engine.

So you just never run anything low. Go ahead and keep you not for me that the best thinkers try to keep it.

Never let it get down past that I like to give at 1/4 tank having my my mom told me growing up in 1/4 tank hits it's time to go find a gas station and go fill up that once you get it in your mind that the empty then it is no different than it being empty so mindset.

The other thing to do is is when you're pulling in these gas stations now with the ethanol gas in the 85 another at what he 15 or E Tanner or anything like that. Some of the newer vehicles deftly take that, but that's a really kind of almost from the service departments and stuff they say is more like a dirty gas and so that makes it even that much more critical to make sure you're changing your oils and in doing mate regular maintenance on your on your car but to you if you got an older vehicle, you know you can get kind of sideways see in those those options at the fuel pumps now because they do a good job of putting signs on there but now there's a lot of times when you pull up and some of the gases I know going into sheets. For example, some of the gases like a dollar a gallon now or something with the T5 or whatever that is. And he winds up to be tempting to to look at that sometimes hand but always know your car in and know what it takes with fuel and that point something that is easy to overlook. And I think about is the fact that a new driver he is learning driving go out don't think gas in the car the first time for them. Sale now. There's so many options that you need to make sure because you would be amazed how many cars we have to pick up that somebody actually put diesel fuel when car and you have the right there and you just don't think about it, so it's always a good thing today when you get back a little bit about colors edge of what's going on just little bit. What's happening with your Knee over the last year we've we've been very blessed over the last several years with with growth and and every time that so the last year so we purchased a building down in Winston-Salem to help expand our area little bit wound up getting a very nice building and remodeling it, and I we've been asking about the last year. Kind of a working on that. Getting moved in trying to get it at work trying to forecast you know everything that we could possibly do to help service our customers the different collision centers in the area, such as having a conference room for training and I know we'll get into that were a big believer in in training both ourselves and our customers to make sure that the best possible service gets gets on down the line to the end user and it's it's it's deftly been a challenge trying to build almost from scratch on some stuff so it's it's it's been a real challenge for for slaying for guys, but we've worked overtime and in my guys of really effective have done a fantastic job this past year and trying to get keep up with our growth and in making sure that our customers get the hundred, you know, get hundred percent service. Make sure that word performing the best that we can be. And they've they've done a fantastic job during that time, and it's just kind of an exciting time right now for for us across the board. There and yell or a distributor firsthand what a company thanked industry before then. Also, what's the difference because I know there's distributors and every city and town, but some that distribute for PPG are distributors and wholesalers. But then there's also platinum dealers must kind of the difference yeah I want to say about 2025 years ago. PPG came out with a program called platinum distribution. Her platinum distributor. One of their goals on that was because there's there's a lot of paint distributors all across United States. A lot of them carry different lines.

PPG is the one that we do someday. Both PPG and say like BASF for what used to be called DuPont is now called exalt an event that and what PPG had seen in any seat in the other paint companies to a little bit but they saw that the yellow the emphasis on their on their product and what their services can be to the to the end user wasn't really being addressed as as much as they would like it to be across the board so they came out with a program to where we are single-line. That's all we distributors is PPG paint automotive paint industrial paint light industrial custard coatings and stuff that somehow in and they've given some some advantages with the platinum network and with both product availability and different access to training set because PPG sees that you were making were making a commitment because were an independent, you know, owned company were not owned by them or anything. That's a weird where making a choice to use them to our customers. So in response they are making a commitment over to us and giving us different opportunities that aren't necessarily available to our delight competitors so it's it's a fantastic network. PPG really puts a lot of emphasis behind it and a lot of in anything. Allow yourself for that. A lot of different programs that we've been able to come out with her are there to enhance the body shop experience because we know Mike anything customers don't want to come into a body shop customer walked to the door of our shop in India. The body shop near the middle of a crisis that point you just have to make sure you put yourself in their shoes and understand what they're going through.

As we talked about with colors edge and other retail markets (people think that those are the just set up for body shops to be able to go into purchasing get some knowledge and step we come back to the fish go to break, but I want to want to do is just speak on the fact that if you're out there in the do-it-yourselfer are just going to do a project on the weekend try to do some touch up on your car just a maintenance type of things talk about you know if yell can be a resource for that and also of the next segment wanted deftly speak a little bit own training and the type of wise important. I mean really and truly is important now with it every talk to Ford earlier and the technology in cars, not just inside the car and under the hood of a car, but just the bodies of the car paint is put on the car and the way that car. That material takes paint is changing rapidly without training it makes it awful toughened and then it is you said I think is the facility now that be able to have training go on their way try to make an emphasis on that than I get into that on this next segment. All right, once again Christian Car Guy radio. This is a call in show give us a call 866-348-7884. Welcome back to Christian college radio and run down these remaining things never harm next one is never continue driving your car when it is overheating and I know Darren is experienced this firsthand. Mr. just think I'm just driving if I just drive to the next, etc. just driving to the next gas station are just they try to limp along in lines of biting you after the fact so pullover you may have just had a water hose that the heater hose or something blown and into the day if you keep driving the thing you put an engine in it which is not a not not a good move. Now, not at all. We've done that before and also continuing to drive on the spare tire longer than recommended because one thing to blow out the not made to go but really to get to get the tire fixed at the nearest facility to get it repaired. But man people get on the road and run those things for ever and and and there also unsafe because they mess up the stability of the vehicle on the steering and that everything about its alignment and that winds up making the other tires where wrong and now you're placing four tires soon and then the other thing I have is never have to much weight on a keychain and you know what, that's when the people do not realize, and I see it all the time and people bring the cars in and were taking the key off for their when they leave it and they have a 10 pound ball of keys on their I got admit I've been guilty of that.

So have anything what what is ended on me and I just keep them all together.

But what happens is there wearout that which real quick so that weight is just just just eliminate that weight if you can never neglect washing your car this keep the thing clean as they submitted will help you on the resale value and you'll see the minor things that need to be done in a just our knowledge is to paint your car, your everything will last longer special in the winter yeah and what a lot of people don't understand is, even when it rains, that's not necessarily clean water, sometimes because it's coming through some of the smog it's in the air in and that becomes what they used term acid rain that will start edging in your clearcoat and really doling out the finish of your vehicle and in thus reducing the resale value of it and never use never used a brush at coin carwash and use go to a carwash that has the bristle type one thing Gavin just pulled out of that carwash ahead of you have been mud and the weekend so he has all this mud caked in that brush, then you really do some damage and think that with the bristles on the draft of carwashes, yet has a tendency to you do scratches on the paint itself and you notice it because of some some some damage on your paint. Sometimes you'll see a car that goes through this type of wash houses just like the shine is basically gone just like just you didn't find icy sand and on it, never wash your car in direct sunlight correct. Yeah that that's actually a baby that not a lot of people quite understand sometimes but with you know when you're using water and water spots on the vehicle.

I found that you know when the sun is coming down your luscious magnifying the UV onto the paint finish and and and same thing with the soap that that people use your sometimes the use the wrong soap even though you said dishwashing detergent or worse or have seen some people try to use laundry detergents and on and in that stuff just it it it's photo of the reaction I guess or whatever they call it and it it winds up edging into that vehicle and and causing more of a problem then washing in the shade that you say and what I don't want all the spots on the McArn you know it's that's in there is Internet use into the clearcoat other thing to never do. And we see this more than you. It never think you would see it best to wash the exterior of the vehicle or spots only if you get bird droppings are sap taken a Brillo pad are our soap pad of some kind are you would be amazed some of you will come in and have done that have these big goals place for half the size of your hand that are dull in a Y was just the spots off. Hopefully most of time you can hit In re Sandman buffet and bring it back to. Sometimes it goes so deep on thing you do is you summary finish work on Jack as long as they didn't break through the clear. Yeah, you can usually have it at least a chance to bring it back, but once they make that clear and had to that basecoat.

That's there's there's no really saving that and number 12 is to never put off the simple things and when I say that is just the simple things because if you don't get torn into our safety see a little chip in the paint. You go ahead and clean it and touch it up if you see your door hinges are popping in and you hear this metal rubbing on metal sale.

Note reads your hinges.

Whatever you can do does the simple things as save you a lot of bucks moving forward. And then that goes back when I say do the simple things and never neglect them.

The touchup and stuff that goes back to Gaza can do that on the weekend is it is the shop that had all this that that the retail store that sales to the body shop is that a resource that an individual go to to get some information is simple supplies to get the job done. Yeah, a lot a lot of people think that you know companies like mine in and and others that we just cater to professionals as far as the body shop and collision center. But no, we exit welcome walk-ins is what we call my dear yourself person and and just people that are trying to trying to save some some money to because they've got something just very minute that that that they really can't do on their own.

Yeah, we invite them to come in and that way we can kind of lead them to the correct product products to help with their with certain situation right there and then kinda go step-by-step to give him the best information help them be successful at that yeah and you know was so good to have always say you know relationships so important. If you type a store in your area fist in the Winston area clergy did our Greensboro Burlington are both Wilkesboro or bone area covers ages a perfect resource testing people down there all the time and they get the information they need. Also find a body shop in a mechanical shop that you build a relationship that you can go by every week at Ray's body shop and wrecker service somebody of stop in for simple question where's reattaching a mold and not touching up something that they can do on their own encourage you to do that and I did want to make sure I didn't. We don't run out of time, but with your new facility and in the past you've always had the emphasis on how important training is costly PPG and other organizations don't have done a lot of training and stuff and I know we've been involved a lot of the training and are grateful that you all do that. But why is that important for the consumer that people getting proper training yeah will you know one with the changing technologies both in the automotive paint and in the automobile you know, we feel that it is very important that the technicians out there have the state you know basically the most current training available to them so that they can be successful in the repair of that vehicle to where they connection make that vehicle back to you when you bought, you know first brought it off the lot so yes we we try to make we exit make a big emphasis on training, making sure that you know our customers. You know at least that that the painters are certified and in the paint that they're using and then and then we exit try to team up with companies like my car.

That's where you know they can continue getting education.

As far as what's some of the new stuff for new techniques in there, that are coming out with these new vehicles yeah and in know what they think is just building relationships in the so many things you can do as an individual. One big thing is to pray over to make sure you know what when you're talking about what to do, where to go get something repaired.

Know what else to put that in your daily prayer list. Gaza lead you in the right direction. They are not certainly appreciate you coming in this morning. Look forward to all the changes coming in the paint industry because they are changing rapidly. Thank you for your company colors edge once again great with this morning. Hope Rob is having a great morning and cannot been Jerry Mathis at Ray's body shop and wrecker service in studio with Darren to wit, with colors edge
