Halo Cars

You Christian Car Guy radio show what Halo cars represent in you today on the Christian card whole concept of a Halo what Halo cars represent in you, you know, halos, cars and halos in general are amazing things. I am thinking by the end of the show today you will agree that you got one you have a Halo click that's the critical thing to your identity and to understanding some things about God.

I'm really really excited to show the stuff got a share with me this week to get everyone on the same page, first let me explain.

The branding strategy of Halo cars, if you're familiar with the term but it's a branding strategy that did. I think General Motors perfected years ago when other people are taking them up on it so it works with branding and oh by the way, I think you'll see it was God's idea originally. So when you're looking to make a profit which most car companies are if you get down inside of them and you spend any time with them to find out the prophet is what it's about. So Halo cars are not necessarily profitable ideas right when you're looking to make a profit and auto manufacturers. Halo cars are actually big time losers the Corvette.

The Viper those kind of things they don't make many of them there big time losers yet they remain in the lineup simply the only reason there in the lineup is to bring a Halo to the brand name. In other words, you know, the Corvette shines brightly over the entire Chevy lineup for the Dodge Viper really brought some image back to the Dodge line and approved if your me. If you're happy Gilmore, the Buick GS X did you know it what it brought to the Buick lineup for me was amazing. When I was a kid and I saw that GSX for the first time so limited production high quality high content.

Those things mean high cost aminos things are expensive with little chance to recover their expense rights. He got it at production enough to sell many of these cars. How you can recover all the expense to make the prototypes and to create all the parts to make this car and you're only going to make you know 4000 of them how you going to recover that expense. While the idea is that the Halo will bring close to the whole brand. So, image and identity. A brand that loses its image or brand that loses its identity dies.

Notably, fortunately for those of us who love certain car lines. Think of Pontiac they lost their identity. They died Oldsmobile Studebaker list could go on and on of cars that lost your identity, but is a toaster that think of brands that have phenomenal identity, resilient identity. You know Jeep is a perfect example that whether Kaiser rounded or willies own American motors under their human list. The French alternate for a period of time, but whoever is on Jeep because the brand is so strong because it has that strong identity. I was looking at Jeep commercial last night and they still show you out on the forward right now. They still show you out is is you know that adventurer that makes Jeep well just let the enemy of your soul knows all is well and in his temptations right if you dig into them at the core of them, you're gonna find. He's been coming after your identity comes after everybody's identity and and clearly became after probably excited that he knows both what but look at how we came after Jesus in the wilderness. Time and again and you'll see it was clearly he was gone after Jesus identity what'd he say if you are the son of God, like you're not really the son of God Jesus if you're the son of God tell these stones become bread.

If you are the son of God, throw yourself down and out that's who you really are. Satan is coming after Jesus's identity and dig a little deeper into the third temptation in your gonna see the identity is at the core that as well. All these things I will give to you if you fall down and worship me. The question is what the son of God, take a shortcut to the kingdom and fortunately for all of us the answer is no, not the son of the father, and I believe inside Jesus identity there is at the heart son ship and opening up that is really was a blessing to me this week is unbelievable. I started studying the word son, which in Hebrew is banner bar. You may have seen that in in in different translations but a Strong's number 81121 and if you look inside that Strong's concordance and see one of the things that son does when you think about it.

It's a builder of the family name.

A son is a builder of the family name and it comes from the Hebrew concept of the rib that was taken out of Adam Bill eat and and at the root of the word son is this builder and so God built Eve out of this rib of Adam and he is still building his name out in You know when you think about it, you are the Halo car you personally. You are the Halo car for your family name.

Low production like there's only one of the high cost of mandated cost a lot to make you think and what Jesus paid for your and quality right in high content. In Psalm 139, it said, you are fearfully and wonderfully made quote Psalm 119 will spend a moment with me on the fact that you are fearfully made just just think about that word fearfully.

Well it's the same word that they use for the fear the Lord. That's right, you strike all you have a Halo when you when you are fully in your identity, the way God made you, you will strike all and you know is true because when you were born, everybody looked at you and I went off.

I'm sorry it had to be that God gave this morning I was left alive but it is know what it really is true that you have a Halo special sauce God designed you to reflect unique part of his glory he really did. And if you don't reflect that glory. No one else can.

You are unique and you are fearfully and wonderfully made, and you have his glory shines. Think about Moses, his face coming down the mountain was that not a Halo, you got the same thing it's in there like Prego spaghetti sauce it's in there you have a Halo and it is for the purpose of building God's brand. If you're Christian right if you're Christian and you become a son of the father.

I Galatians 326. If you're a son, then you are building the family name and your gonna do that through reflecting him through your Halo the way the God designed you at special sauce of Jesus, the ultimate sign in the ultimate builder. The family name right was the Halo of Halo cars yet that Halo that identity of yours. Like Jesus is been attacked your whole life and really one of the secrets to discovering your Halo guy get the thing polished us. One of the secrets to discovering your Halo is to analyze the assault that's been on your life, your entire life and tell your story along those lines coming up and today show, but I would love a Halo experience, share some Halo experiences with me were God allowed you to come into your glory and and do something that really kinda blew your way and and not only did other people get to see God's glory in you. But in the way those Halo experiences that you've had your life show you what that caught in you which allows you to walk further into that identity that below that builds the family names on today show. Now in after the story before how you know I ended up in the Christian Car Guy show but I can't help but now marvel at all the ways that God is worked on my Halo up with the young man and I've never share this story on the earth on the air before but God brought it to my mind this morning is is is sort of a Halo experience that I've never really had put together but years ago I was in car salesman at Les Shellenberger Chevrolet in Grand Junction, Colorado.

The town was actually going bankrupt because Exxon and pulled out. I think this was 1981, and so there was a lot of bad stuff going on but Chevy that year had the national walkaround competition and the idea was that every salesperson in every showroom in America would have a chance to show their show off their skill at presenting a car or truck.

There was a car championship and attracting championship and they just come out with the S 10 and I really like that car and I always love how to present a car well and so you know God can encourage me even though I'm not a public speaker at this point, all in the whole thing kinda unnerved me thought I could like I could present a carcass and just presented to my fellow people in the in the dealership so the idea was the first round of the competition. You had to beat all the salespeople in your particular dealership in Les Shellenberger at that time probably had 12 or 14 salespeople and you know I thought, well, you know, at least in their put my hundred dollar bonus. First up was left will go for it.

You know, and so I really studied and in and I did the S 10 and they and they brought that out and I did and I wanted the dealership for the next level you had to go to the zone, the Denver zone because we were in Colorado and so I had to compete against all the other salespeople in the Denver zone and this time it was little different in that you didn't know which truck was coming out in your kind of in a soundproof room and then they would bring you in and then in would come your truck that you had to do a presentation for, and fortunately for me it once again was the Chevy S-10 truck, which I love that I knew that truck backwards and forwards.

I pick I knew all the polymers and the taillights at 10 o'clock effect, and so you know II gave the presentation, I was blown away Army. I was literally blown away when I won the entire Denver zone, which meant that oh goodness. Now you have to go to the regional competition which was in Phoenix Arizona now here I am a salesman. It blessed that I never would have dreamed and I knew that God would take me on this particular venture so I went to Phoenix. The dealer was so excited that I was gone. He bought me a brand-new state brand issues with the and I went down there and again they had us in the soundproof booth and once again outcomes the Chevy S 10 and in are so excited to present that car and gave my presentation and while I want to reach couldn't believe it. And when I want the region. I won a trip to Hawaii. I went also them it was a big deal that was huge and it men that I got to go to Detroit and give my presentation and tour in front of the president of General Motors and is matter-of-factly were going to do a video that they would show all the salesman the country of how to do the white rock walkaround around these different vehicles. So next thing I know you know all of the Denver zones behind me course to Western regions behind me consider fly me to Detroit to do this walkaround competition, which is still just blown my mind, but it clearly was.

God was showing me something about one of the gifting's he had given me which was know to be able to present to be able to speak well and so this is a funny store we get in there and at the time Chevy made a pickup truck that was at 350 diesel which I don't think there are many limits in this world, but that particular truck with the lemon I have sold several of them and the people which they were just disasters the heads would crack they would start what is called there were all kinds of problems. Chevy had not done their homework they had really tested the engine they tried to make a diesel engine out of a gas engine is.

It was a flop. And so I am sitting in the soundproof booth supposedly waiting on the car.

This cannot be bring it brought into for me to present and I hear the clear clatter of this diesel truck and all of you ever heard me say this, but it's a Robbie is the first and most important sale you make is the one you make yourself.

And so since I was sold on the S-10 I can sell the S-10, but I was not sold 350 of the pickup at all. And here I was face-to-face with having to present this vehicle and as you might guess, I lost.

Which is really okay because now I look back on it I think you know it was showing me something about the gifting that he had given me and it and it built in me a confidence to be able to be in front of people in the speak that I really did not have before me that cameras makeup and art stuff and little that I know is my life with progress that that Halo experience would be a big part of how God would use me to promote the family may pay to build the family name of the son so hearing that story. I wonder about your Halo experience. I'm not the only one it's had on these obviously Moses had one as he certainly had a glow on as he came down the mountain as you've been able to walk into your glory is in God should make use shine like the sun somehow and he realized it was him. I really like that a lot to story and able to buy equipment Halo thing and let Mike if it that I know what the Lord when I left it did and it break me great joy to do it. I figured it at the guy that how it states when I was 30, and 81 on the landscape here get that term on anything whenever they fear relevant to get that when everything is online to witness to people and I, and a divine appointment because when I go out that you thought of and in grocery toys and department stores where graphic outlet that God will grant and one day I would coming through the Walmart and when the workers withholding limited track that I had put out previously and she looked at me and she said down you know so strange because one of my coworkers came at the mean and look what I found on the shelf and she could think you need. Told her coworker.

I think you need it and she said well think you need. I'm just standing out listening to all of the and she said actually I'm already a Christian. And so I don't need it but you need to read it. You just take it and read it and as it will get one last said when we write and gave me a test by the whole thing. She said I will be wonderful time of fellowship and she didn't need anything. They know that she had already witnessed in her coworker but handed her the correct beat and it ain't your estimate to go out that I never know what an empty parking lot door restaurant or people only care, patient, and then want to engage me in the conversation about Jesus and you know being born again and leading in God's light.

It looked exciting adventure.

Anybody could ever I just have to tell you that you reflect that light really well anybody listening could hear the joy in your voice and the peace in your voice and and and and clearly your shine. And I mean it is. People would see you. You know they would feel that light, they would feel that Halo their American and feel comfortable but there's an interesting thing II had a dear friend. His name was Lester and he was he was like 87 and he was very much like you and that every day he would tell me some story about how he would pray and God would put somebody in his path and he would have that divine appointment. The very same thing and he had the same joy that you have it. It was like all man and it was so clear, you know, for those on the outside looking at the Halo and on.

That's why it happens because who wouldn't want to come up to this man and find out you know their story because you can see it's you can feel it. It's it's right there. Linda and I I would just commend that the your Halo is shining really brightly when you're out there doing that and that's attractive they can be near your boy and I hear laughter is contagious and so it just know I don't think we have to put a name to it necessarily whenever it is like to experience God working through it earning money can buy in that cool you bring an amazing feeling that I just been marveling and ever since I saw the builder of the family name. The Galatians 326. We are all sons you know it. It doesn't matter are gender because when you're out there. Linda you get your clearly building the family name and you know II realize that physically in order to build the family name in our culture you know the man's name passes on the whatever and so my son recently had two boys and. Accept it because I was like okay the family names going forward. But that's that's nowhere near as cool is it, Lord. I really about the opportunity God think the word may in any way he looked.

It ended alleged joy while I'm doing it well.

I understand that but as you could tell from her testimony and brings the father glory and it builds the family name so call us at 866348788486634 truth is the number and you know I mentioned that there's another aspect of this that your identity your way that you are a sign that builds the family name is been under attack the enemy does not like what's going on one soever to walk in your identity. And so if you look at some of the tags that people are put on you your whole life there. You're going to find. From that point of attack. Perhaps an idea of what God made in you uniquely and wonderfully, and one time I asked Jesus after boot camp that we've gone through the maximum journey. You know what he called me and he said he called me faithful when I went back and studied and I didn't really buy that idea originally was like really got a get a cooler name and faithful I'm like that sounds like a geyser or a dog or something in and he was like work with me here, Robbie.

It's really a good word.

It's it's anything. As I started to study the attacks of my life and all the betrayal I saw that that part of my identity had been under attack.

My entire life. And so therein lies a little bit of that as well. We have Roxanne's and Germans in North Carolina.

You're on the Christian Car Guy ship the moment I am excited to hear your story and you and second floor looking down on the balcony and my knee shaking really back in, like anything ago well and my child and child. Children I am. I am afraid even to think in front now I'm trying and eat. I can do all things crime in one fell going and I think in California and I called Magic Mountain's all my and make when it light on any I can do all things maybe 1920. I thought you would set in 1920s so I was like holy macro that was a long time ago if you're at Magic Mountain 1920. I didn't even know inspected but you are 19 or 20, and magic Mountain and I'd love to know. Philippians 413 the set up for that Paul is talking about. I've learned to be content in all things and to be content. When you're up at a height when you're scared to death and and have you ever heard me tell the story of how I used to be afraid of the dark.

Roxanne well similarly right here III didn't come to Christ till I was in my 30s and I was terrified of the dark and my wife is 5 feet tall would tell you that if there was a noise in the house Robbie sending her I was a big chicken. I would be terrified and I you know is new in the faith in my wife and children had gone to Pennsylvania. The visit some friends and I was left in the this house in Winston-Salem. It was real creepy a lot of trees in the yard. You can picture the stormy night. What love thunder and lightning it start and I am absolutely terrified and like you I just looked up and I said got. I know this is supposed to be sin for me to be afraid and I just I don't know what to do this, but I somehow missed us to give it to used to tell me how I give you this fear is not to give it to you because I know that is wrong and he said he said to me, Robbie. What's the worst thing that could happen and I was like was only good company with a knife and you know like shower scenes, time, or whatever, and he and he says to me Robbie, what would be so bad about and all of a sudden I realized it. Oh you're threatening me with Jesus you're threatening me with heaven. I mean and and and that's how I began to work through that story and and to add a little comedy to it. Roxanne, about three months ago maybe four months ago. Somebody that was actually high on drugs climbed up on the roof of our house and I was the one that actually went outside and fronted him in the middle of the night when it was dark and my wife was like wow you've come a long way but anyway I would love you were to tell me more of how how you learn to be content through God who gives you strength. Yeah, I really like to be able to tell my children trying, and I trust you got to be playing in my online knee and what not even thanked me for thinking and waiting to jump out like be. I think I looked down and got large when we were going to go on the I was waiting and I can't looking at my mate coming out trying all my everyman back into often ignored down. I know you might even train show me how absolutely and I went and I remember what my 80 don't dump all over you. There, I'm not any call you know why I went very anything I got another limb here and try to just observe what I see in the way of your halo Roxanne, it's pretty obvious maybe is not everybody but it is to be number one. The call into a radio show takes the normal and and so in it and it sounds like your courage is been attacked your whole life and so I must say that part of your glory partier halo that God is the special sauce that God is given Roxanne is your courageous I mean you are courageous which that I don't think courage has to do with not realizing that there's something to be afraid of courage has to do with walking in Christ and and and realizing he's on the gives us strength to go through that stuff. So wow I love it. That's what I was going on. All you know I love it. You know I love it. Thank you Roxanne God bless appreciate your call to once again these stories just just make my day and I think of all the different ways that God has made us all uniquely and wonderfully made it and I can sure this this last story, which you may think I'm nuts but it really really just makes me think that is so cool God that is so cool I have a friend who sees angels at times and ill tell me whether or not you believe or not, I can assure you he believes he sees when he says that he was in church and he was about but it was really a great worship experience and all of a sudden he saw this like cold cloud of angels and he said Robbie there, like minnows in a pool when you throw a piece of bread there like flying over the NE they would there be a big glow of light and then they were gauche and and they were going to cross the sanctuary like wherever the light would flash than the angels would go.

I think what he he asked the Lord what for an interpretation on that one.

He felt it was was is that people would come into their glory, when there halo would emerge with Mayor Moses shine would come on. You see they're going to reflect something that nobody ever gets to see the angels long to see that stuff and they get to see an aspect of God and only can be done when you reflect that special sauce that you have and so what my friend saw something that the angels are longing to look into and that is your halo you were fearfully all you are fearfully there some all I knew. I'm telling you and the angels are longing to look into that and so as we process our identity was not be like Pontiac and fall on her face was let's figure out how to how to get into our identity walk into that and so that we can advance right. The family name. The name of Christ. That's right, were Christians in advancing the family name is what we as sons do well. I just had so much fun with this is really good.
