Getting a Lift from a Lion

This is the Truth Network and I was the radio show and from a lion brother that was variety at his Spanish right there.

I want to compliment you on the intro music there. Well you might be wondering Robbie were in the world are we headed today work and all sorts of different waters will be patient with me as we try to outline the idea of the day that we have as were getting a lift from a lion, and this Memorial Day weekend. I thought we could honor the courage. Certainly those who followed by sharing a bit of heaven that really they are lives gave us an opportunity to do that and so I'm just going to say it's really good to be with you. This really excited about all the things come in the next hour. And you know I just want to pinch myself. How is it that I got so God blessed me to have all these listeners are calling with such amazing stories every week and this Memorial Day weekend. I'm hoping you got some special forces.

Would you believe that history paints a picture of Solomon's throne. That would be like Disney World and I was not even close to where this I came across this the more I studied it, the more I became fascinated by wow Disney had nothing on Solomon. Once again, and there were seven spirit, and these are the seven spirits of God also removed the foot throne that Solomon Stern had the six steps and on the six steps for all these golden lines in all these different golden animals notice what's in front of the throne in heaven. I there were four living creatures are better covered with eyes in front and back.

The first living creature was like a lion, the second was like an ox, and the third had a face like a man and if you'll note that what was lifting up Solomon in his deal right so yes we are raised to heaven. According to Ephesians chapter 2 verse six it said, and God raised us up that's in the past and is not towards you. If you're in Christ.

You are to get you got your lift this morning on the German right and seated with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, not we don't lift herself up on the throne. I've done that plenty heaven you but know that Bob and the line kicked my butt.

Yes, that is where we if we allow the lien to raise us up right were seated with him in the revenue in the heavenly realm. So would you think with me for second let your imagination go and let's just say you're standing on the cherubim. It raises you up on the throne and can you imagine the sensation of coming face-to-face with Jesus Christ and the father on the throne to all the different colors. The seven spirits of God, blazing. It's true and it's amazing. But if you're like me you are like wow, if I am seated up with this authority and I need wisdom. Like Solomon, I'm praying God, I need wisdom so here's some wisdom that I got from John Eldridge which I think is really really helpful since were all seated on the thrones is John Eldridge teaches in an actually in his book of father by God. The when you get to the king stage. A good king makes every effort to make his kingdom is much like heaven as he can and that would mean shalom peace right.

But we also have this ability to curse and so with all that said, now that I've said all that listener is a Christian card. I would point out that is, Jesus lifts you up on the throne behind the wheel of your car. You now have a chance to be a king of the road. Although you don't have the trailers for sale… Sale. We have an opportunity to make that like our car inside and out. Now we come back. But Lila was seeing her grandfather or great-grandfather as it rose just you know going crazy here that it was just one of those moments that were just going to be an eternity for me. It was heaven. Bob and is now eyeing. I'll never forget it has really good staff and when you were sharing that with me before the show this morning that it brought back so many great memories ran around with our family in the vehicle and and my mom at Christmas time.

She does love the Christmas carols and she would start singing and next thing you know, the whole car sitting in an I can't envision doing that when my brothers and mail but at that time it was the coolest thing my mom and I were so very close.

I was the baby in and after the other two were already in school. We spent so much time together because I had to go with her every Friday need to get a hair deviated and go do groceries get the groceries and everything and we had so many great trips up to Elkin and back from Dobson North Carolina and just some great great great hours spent with her and she loves sitting and and this would break in the song at any time, but I can remember sometimes at Christmas time would break in the song in the and the whole family join any and on the loan family trips to to the home place really good stuff and and Robin. I were just very apt to break in the any, song written and when he was young. I may. We had certain cassette tapes that we would put in and we knew everywhere and Exxon and ASIS. So many times and there's times that we were in the house and he would have his little air guitar and with little plastic guitar there, and he'd be playing the guitar and and I'd have the microphone it wishes rock in the a real serious concert for somebody united and just you brought back a lot of great old memories for me and he touched me in. You made me think about and he done it for years and I was going to say this to the last segment but I've had a lift from a lion many times in my life and salon name Robbie Gilmore and and you know you don't view yourself that way and that's why you're such a line for some of the people this close to you and and gets raised the people that get the lift from you that you give us like this morning I had so many things in my hand in our sons just got back from Korea and we haven't been able to get up to see him yet for a couple of different reasons and in a had just semi things going on and then okay, I get in here with you and and you raise me up and in the get me in the right frame of mind for life. I mean, we don't always get to do things in our time, but when it gets to be God's time and it works out. That is so much better and it says so much more uplifting. I mean, here it is Memorial Day weekend and the way it's going to work at work will be spending Memorial Day with the directive, the service man and and his wife who is active in the he's in the Navy she's in the Army and in them had so much on my mind and I was wary that my wife might be freaking out because you know he's home. Wayne seen them in six months and we hadn't got there yet that were going to get there and work on anything. God's time and no brother.

There's just been so many times that I've sit down in this chair I've came in in pure turmoil I've remembered to show six or seven minutes before it started before and get here and just be so hectic and so and then I'm calm when I leave and I have a clear outlook on life and I was one thank you for that. I was going to say that but it just seemed like the time to say thanks for all you do for me while I go to tell you that as I mentioned at the beginning and Seventh Circuit to be with you and so good. God gives us these visions. I want to do.

He's been working on me. Actually for two weeks with this whole thing is Solomon's throne and and I've been thinking about while that in a Disney himself. Our grandson Gardner and Pep Nesbitt had been staying with us and you know I get see him tomorrow to let them it's amazing how much you can can fall in love with an animal you know I am here to my father start. And it's not a hard thing for Corky to go through lost my father but now every morning and it was you know every morning when I get up to pray. I have a chair that I sit in and Corky knows that is that you know it's a big deal to me, to be anointed by God. In other words, I want to get up in the father's lap and I wanted to stroke my head and tell me he loves me that's that's part of my prayer experience in it Rick I hope you experience something similar to that. But Corky knows that he gets his pending before God gets, I get mine so as soon as I sit down in that chair, he's gonna put his head in my lap and look up at me with these kids eat luck, take it's time that Linda Cooper's routine was that you know outside first thing and then then he wanted some immediate 11 and he gave my wife so much attention and you know some he wanted to always be touching her and sometimes he wondered just come and squeeze right in and he's a full thousand dollar he's a German Shepherd boxer makes and that he just craved me in writing between the two of us are at least touching. I was not a good brother for years and years and and in all this in the past, and we can't dwell on the past but I just realized what I put my brothers through especially my middle brother and I was not a good brother.

I was in and have some regret about that and I'm relatively positive he's forgiven me for although they like the younger brother right you Turn come down the road and have a steak dinner and and here's the cool thing that sometimes your car can be that little piece of heaven and God gave me an opportunity. Just this week to buy new resident take a trip to the young man I knew wasn't a Christian, or at least hadn't yet come to the conclusion that Jesus was the Savior, and those kind of things for me.

I want to make sure that you know he didn't end up in the wrong way you know that that he wants to spend eternity with Jesus and that he is a chance to do that kind of thing and so I had a trip to Charlotte with him and oh man, it was like having in the car. God just gave me a question to ask him here about you know how used to do this and how you know what he was looking forward to in his life and all that and and I just began to see his eyes light up and to see God in lights that he hadn't seen before. While not can't say we set there and got on the running board to the car, practice it, but but I can tell you that it was heaven for you know an hour and 1/2 or whatever time it took to make that drive when there's no better feeling than thinking that you brought somebody a little closer to God with the get him all the later part of the way it if you're just a stepping stone. If you only get a seed planted and maybe a drop of water on it. It is such a great feeling and that's just something that that nothing else can ever replace and ascend and sitting here saying all this it a wake something up in me that I haven't done this like I could recently and I've been a bit more self-centered and and you know if were not have been others. Then we get caught up in our sales and an affiliate I'm right with you, I'm her, I'm completely right wing values to have a friend and I know part of his prayer every day.

Every morning was God put somebody in my path that I can share you with and in that was in.

He was so sincere and and he would tell me all the time about people he ran into just on the blue and he got to share that you have love God with them in some way shape or form, because I know that it was his heart. Every morning when he woke up that man I gotta get a chance today and I II think man. God give me that passion because of the way allows Rob and the opiates in the addiction and everything. I just have a lot of opportunities to help people that people discount me out of the blue that Colin get a hold of me in the and talk to me about an and I try to get people direction then and in this sum strengthen and little Cheryl something within the China have them through that day in the and chatting and get them in touch with people they can help, but the and I haven't had as many opportunities for that recently and is still out there is still out there and and Galactic ladies in the this the event. I think I kind of miss being able to help folks like that. Now I know I miss being able to help folks like that. Well I know that I'm for me, as a matter of of of prayer of asking God while in a what what kind of adventure do you want to take me on the raised up and so now God in a you put all this amazing world at my feet. You know what, where, to where we going what can I do today would you put me someplace where I can share what you once you're done with me and just keep asking and it's amazing you know it doesn't have to be anything big, just whatever you have gone into something that that will be there today that that will make an impact in somebody's life because you are he raised up. You got on that on that anima Tronic thing and I just can't get it out of my mind.
