Financial capital financial. This is the gold show Dennis chose to play the 147. Best Billy Joel song coming out of the break and I appreciate that you got a lot of great songs you can take that for what it's worth, the last time we spoke with Elliott Johnson we were lauding his success against Knauf former Angels manager Joe Madden after he was fired. Madden was at that point with the Tampa Bay rays. One of the many teams that Elliott Johnson started 40 joins us to talk about another angels manager. How are you Elliott Walker will break all day.

Looking forward to hearing what we got on the docket today Ottoman certain bigotry sure I let's talk about the eight the Angels and Mariners got into a legitimate fight over the weekend.

There were there was a pitch that buzzed the tower of Mike Trout the night before everybody was angry, justifiably so.

One of the best players in the game nearly getting hit in the head is certainly get a raise a few eyebrows among other things, and then the next day the Angels through twice, at its Angels battered rather Mariners batters early in the game.

There was a pitch that I do for you. I forget who got hit in the back of the leg, which is frankly okay if you can hit somebody quote bright but so then we had a real fight. In fact, one of the Angels got hurt front of the front right the wood there were there, but I think the closer of fractured elbow of fracture of his abode in his elbows.

That's bad. Have you ever been in a brawl like that. No, usually it took pushing, shoving and barking.

You know right of the most embarrassing thing that could happen is you get hurt from scrum yet though I feel bad for Bradley.

You want to bother anyone support you guys but you don't want to get hurt. You know and and every doctor will tell you after you get into a scrum like that. Pro user off throwing him but he got hurt on falling off the railing on his way into the scrum Adam so that you can have a talk.

You know you can be looking at a huge walking to the call about your connected poorly in the site you got hurt late in the wake of the fights, but still it speaks to the issue that what baseball is the only sport where in a way that's condoned. Yeah guys got suspended for the most part, suspensions are with 162 games you not to make a suspension really stick written to be really matter only lets you suspend somebody for 20 games which may be that would be a smarter thing. But these things start now. Yes and started the night before with Mike Trout. I don't how much how much weight do you give to the managers involved here. Phil Nevitt is an interim manager for the Angels. He got a 10 game suspension. Maybe that's not even enough how much weight do you put on Phil Nevin's part in this quote it even.

Above him. Oh, think about then cognitivism okay not of neither team is meeting expectations right so like every other organization. The owner Tarquin pressure on their right hand person, man or woman in the medical pressure and electrical down okay so neither Matt neither owner is happy with things at this point they invest a lot of money and have high expectations of expectation target met all the teams are playing well both being target in the playoff and and I can defeat as what to say that the mariner started he could do up a a childhood playground thing. They started it right here.

We are pro at your back wire anyone buckler. I can promise you that Nevin remembered in charge. If he doesn't retaliate. He actually loses way more respect than when he dug, and this is just the way the game works okay so you were not were not playing the game in the big league where all it was just an accident. It doesn't matter. It really doesn't matter. The fans need understand another matter killed in accident longer.

Right: Mike Trout were our best player work, you know, really want to get a really good team with a good culture if they throw at you for any reason, there is retaliations just the way things work okay now we you may not like it but an eye for an eye.

Okay, so maybe that after that the mariner take it too far or the angle taken too far by your hey you buzzed our God powerfully bugged doors. We should be even and always where the scrum began because the mariner feel like I took it too far. The message was received. We got it, but now you can't drill it. However, all give the Angels credit for hitting him in the butt because getting hit in the butt cheek by far the best place to get drilled. Speaking from experience with it like without a professional hit job if you want to call so what I don't get is why we had if if both sides understand that why did what happened.

So they they wanted to exact a little bit more. The angle wandered back more than the mariner felt would do and they were going to feel satisfied until they drilled somebody and once a girl Jesse.

He felt like obviously that it was over angle didn't and that's why we have a disagreement where were gonna grow your vertical hand that he felt real slow sunflower seeds under the sea which was how the love that was a bit much work that map. The problem is 15 gonna feel like were even the other one not, and that's why obviously get back to that point because it's not like there's an exchange paperwork like a ghostly good, not good until I get played out on the field and you never know how barking to go because even the commander said the garden hit somebody that the bullpen or whoever has the ball back to the one that can execute on that and you never know what kind of conversations are happening in the open, but I can tell you the teams that are really good team are the ones that look out for each other and they don't even need the manager to say anything that you do it on studio with my friend to capital financial advisory group.

We are talking retirement is longevity risk figure into our retirement and income plan. This is the best of times and the worst of times and longevity risk live to me everyday lives not too long we want to money to outlive us and unfortunately many people have seen you out there listening. Maybe one of them.

Your money is not designed to outlive you.

You might outlive your money and that's not what we want to have happen as we get to that day after you run out of money not to be a fun time. Let's design a plan that guarantees will never run out of money.

We call it the GPI plant growth protection lifetime income for the next 10 people is a golden ticket out of the snow. They were to do it at no cost or obligation, and all you have to do is call we make it so easy. Would you like financial independence into your retirement and beyond it.

800-661-7383 that golden ticket is a $1000 value or you could text Adam to 21000 for Coach Pete to root Elliott Johnson is joining us here on the Adam culture all right to a situation that you and I talked about Josh's now what three months ago maybe more.

Freddie Freeman never wanted to leave the Braves and ultimately left the Braves contrary couldn't come to an agreement on a contract. The more we read about this the more we realize what what happened comes back to Atlanta. I have never been moved by a baseball players press conference as I was listening to Freddie Freeman try to answer questions in front of the Braves media at a press conference and then the outpouring of love from the fans to Freddie was just incredible dirt beetle when he received his World Series ring. And now he fired his back is agent Casey close is was is lead agent oblique Casey close was Derek Jeter's agent forever. With the extra over over a poor contract negotiation session. I guess the best can can do a poor job. Is that how you read this that Casey close did a poor job in a different direction.

No inbred country will create an interest on your end. Okay look you're in charge. Okay your guys going to give you advice you going to broker a deal you can survey the market is going to tell you what the market is telling him that he ultimately is is in charge of that.

He is the CEO of a corporation and you could say the Casey is at the about you, but right deal.you going to bring him to Beale as they come in inappropriate but the person that give the thumb up or thumbs down ultimately is the player we all know that Britain wants to be in Atlanta okay.

Don't let anybody tell you otherwise the outfall posturing, one where the other. He clearly wants to be there motioning for court so he's wearing amounted on it please. Okay, Clayton Kershaw is one of the young Beth unit best competitors in the game.

If you think something publicly it because what he said privately has materialized out on the field that make that yes that so the fact that were even here speak to the fact that Freddie should've taken the deal that the Braves offered him.

Whatever it is 541 30 Beale okay and move on with your life okay but he didn't do it. He wanted to test the market and it like musical chairs and you know it when the music stopped. You got have a place to fit. The problem is that you said no to the brave.

The Braves and populace given credit on went and got mad open from the eighth and back back he got taken. Rizzo got take the spot with Yankee.

I think the blue Jay demonstrated and found somebody that they were looking for is the only thing left was the daughter. Not that it's a bad deal. But a lot of that money is deferred, but ultimately Freddie had to make that decision early on, the Braves were to hold the door open for the entire time. You know, and populace have to do it best for the brave. He moved on David Beale to Matt Olson and we are where we are so you know, a lot of kind of a lot of poker but at the same time. I think Freddie thought there know they were to Beale to keep everything open and there were to come down to the deadline and it didn't work that way. And so now you delivered it.

So this is on Freddie, not on Casey close but Casey close, Scott got as Freddie Freeman moved on the numbers and ultimately from the Braves would have been at least 140/5 and that would've been a better deal then he ultimately got even though it was for next one more year with the Dodgers which comes out to 162/6 by 57 million of that money is deferred. That was a 5% of the broker-dealer right. You may view operating under a different representation but you have to pay the fee to excel and that's good to be a tough check to write, even if if he even writes a check is probably direct deposited. This probably already taken care of right final thing I do is good. Clearly they are man about Trevino error in judgment on himself bond phenomenal. Good grief… By the back door like they click as much as I was raised properly to hate the Yankees lot away.

You have to respect what to do and quite on his brilliant forecasting done is been pretty good. I given you got credit because they really don't need it.

They deserve all the respect in the world. Hopefully it enter.

Pretty soon we can stop talking about about unfortunately we have to and they are very real. They are very good and no I think I think they still probably can even make an acquisition here that is any question and the second best team in baseball might be the Houston Astros that's going to hurt you to respond to a just and let you yet find say what you want. I want talk about the Martin Alvarez is unbelievable.

He should not sign that contract is worth way more unbelievably good and yell paying it back. He's healthy. I don't get a good career but you fighting a lot so will be how they how they come out and up down Stratford audit the uptake of doctors that they are good. Elliott Johnson is best man appreciate your time.

I'll talk to you very soon I will be you got Elliott Johnson here on the abdomen since he hates the Astros.

I did notice, I couldn't tell and I'm okay with. I'm okay with hate, hate, right. I don't think he would like if they were stranded on the side of the road, drive past them, they might think you're think you might be right there. June 19, 2006, but it all started May 6, 1997 with the announcement that the Hartford whalers were coming to North Carolina transition of heartbreak.

Figuring it out on the fly became 25th anniversary of the presented by the Carolina listen before you get so in the category of which we should be tired of talking about this and we are sort of that's and that's me getting my yes, I am not to get tired of talking about issues that pertain to sports I care about so that there will always be times where we will talk about it. It seems the same thing over and over and over again. Like how many times have we talked about Baker Mayfield Jiminy way too many right but people are interested in football in the Panthers so I get less people I should say fewer people are interested in professional golf and I understand that I am wildly interested in it so live versus the PGA Tour speaks to me because it is an interesting story in a sport that I care a lot about when I said I don't want to spend a lot of time on this because it is something we talk about it seems every day but yesterday truth was spoken, and I think it's it's good to point out truth in the first set of press conferences in London. We were making fun of all of the evasiveness from people right you were just trying to not really about this like a man. It's about money. And if that's okay. It's fine for it to be about money and yesterday they introduced three new players Brooks Kappa Pat Perez Patrick Reed were all on the on the poet at the podium being having their introductory interview and in the case of Kappa and Perez really spoke truth and I appreciate that because that's what it that's what this should be looked. We can sit here all day long and talk about whether or not what these players are tacitly doing taking Saudi money is a good thing or not but that's not really for us that much to what extent it is, but I'm not interested in having a conversation.

I'm interested in having it about the sport. So Kappa was asked essentially is a guy who's had major surgeries.

He was asked essentially why he's doing this in here was his answer turns to go through last two years my knees praying that we have all the stuff realize now I need a little bit more time off.

The first sadist on something easy.

Last year's income little more graceful, more time at home to make someone a percent for supply and I was getting back to spoke to DJ my brother everybody was very nothing but good things to say so now take your word and scheduling is a lot of things is so he's had a bunch of injuries. He's only played three times since the last three months 23 events.

They played all three major slave masters played the PGA blade U.S. Open and then played really all that well at any his body is just its body is breaking down so yes Brooks Is a four-time major champion, but Brooks Kappa also could be a four-time major champion whose body will not allow him to play so I'm not saying that that you change your opinion of what the live tour is or what it's trying to do just saying that it makes it more understandable that Kappa can make more money for less work, which is frankly should be a goal for all of us right now. Make the weekend for the least amount of work. It's amazing if our the say Adam you do a show 15 hours a week writer on air by the dozen got all the prep stuff. Sure, but you're on 15 hours okay were to cut that down to six yeah right. Have you do three to our shows. I am going to quadruple your money yeah exactly okay I get it.

Sure I totally understand.

So that's what that's what Is coming from. I will point out seven days ago There was asked about playing less as a why would you why would I go because he said why would I do that there's like six you could playlist goes I play as much as I want now see, so he addressed them seven days ago yesterday.

He addressed those questions and he was indignant about it.

I play whatever I want now.

I've only played two times since the euro since March. What changed. We know what changed money changed right now to money Pat Perez is a guy who has been on tour for a long time top 50 money with her. By the way, without being great these great but without being great compared PGA Tour player's guide.

Think three career wins, but he's made it home to money and for Perez it came down to one simple fact: 46, 550 events on the roads is like 98 laundromat world is alive. I have I have almost 4-year-old. I miss my son's birth or last year August 18, was for the labor, and Jersey start for the playoffs, hundred and 60 nonetheless. I can't believe I can't miss it. I can get back there and back without 150 grand private flight.

I'm not doing that so I had to suck on them and I do miss my son and you know for sure made the cut I moved my status by playing all right, but it still sucks and I told him one day. Why I wasn't there.

Once again I move 3233 week guide every year and now I don't have to be with family. My family, my applicant an opportunity for me. I get to play as my Capt. to play seven this year. Whatever else the future no-brainer forgot my register on the road.

I just have three weeks off. I feel great. More excited about this. That's the bottom line. I'm wise. I'm tired of you just so this this this descriptors opportunity is when a lot of I mean I just say thank you for the misty right and it's true it's it's hard for guys like Pat Perez it's going to get harder based on the way the PGA Tour is going to evolve because they have to. It's going to get more difficult for players like Pat Perez to stay fully exempt on the PGA Tour is just it's just going to.

That's the trade-off they make to keep the stars where they are giving the stars more money a bigger slice of the pie. It's going to squeeze the rank-and-file in every sport, though that's the case in every sport there are stars look what quarterback salaries do the NFL quarterback salaries in the NFL squeeze out the middle class.

Just it's just the reality of sports all sports but I keep hearing though that these guys are independent contractors. They're not really independent contractors. If you are a PGA Tour member, you have to operate under certain rules until the courts tell them otherwise.

I don't know if courts are to do that but you can pick and choose the tournaments you play.

But if you play outside of the PGA Tour family you need their permission. This is why these players have been banned and the reason why the PGA Tour did not give them permission is because they recognize that the live series is coming for them that it's coming after their players and their tour so let's I want this to be a completely honest conversation and knocking to get into the source of the money other than there's a ton of it and it is endless and that is tipping the scales in their favor. There will be more players to go. There's no question in my mind, the fields will continue to get better on that circuit. They're never going to be awesome, but the fields will continue to get better that field this week is probably better than the PGA Tour field at the John Deere actually did for the first time in a long time. The PGA Tour field will be the second best field above recognized source.

The European tour stop in Ireland actually has a better field this year, this week, then the than the John Deere it's just not a great field. It just is not but anyway, I appreciate the honesty for Brooks Kappa and from Pat Perez.

This is the gold shell June 19, 2006, but it all started May 6, 1997 the announcement that the Hartford whalers were coming to North Carolina transition of heartbreak. Figuring it out on the fly became the fifth anniversary of the presented by the Carolina listen
