The Carolina Panthers trimmed their roster to 53 players with no surprises with their moves. All NFL teams finalized their cuts, with not many moves that caught anyone's attention, including the San Francisco 49ers NOT releasing quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo

Mike Birling, President of the Durham Bulls, joined the show to discuss the purchase by Capitol Broadcasting Company of the Coastal Plain League, and how a Minor League Baseball Players Union will impact minor league baseball and how it could impact Triple-A baseball.

This is the gold show a lot of excitement around those around campus and within our locker room viewing this game, we it is seasoned the gold shell don't show. I am not sincere.

My gosh we had to do a rewrite of something right. I mean, in the last two minutes. AutoZone saw the same like it's not even a major story, but I want to get it right. Okay. And in doing a little late. Research I found that dogs and cats are living together. No preposterous is this is sort of a tease and it has nothing to do with Duke and North Carolina is nothing to do with Duke and North Carolina but could your statement.

Carolyn met doesn't matter what you were talking about arch rivals Iraq.

Do you think UNC and NC State could combine into one entity to oversee a business.

Now I've always found it to me. I guess it that it's it's common that Carolina fan. Mary's Duke right it's common and he gets a little touchy couple times a year, certainly not in any sport of basketball.

But it's a low touchy will you sure twice a year. The spec sometimes four times they put four times less or no would be three times larger right and play in the ACC tournament again. They played twice the regular season that of course. Oh unbelievable. Still great. So there's we have a situation where to archrivals are combining to own a business will explain a little bit later on. I'm fascinated by this now.

I didn't realize it was the case because the headline I saw was misleading. Of course yeah I mean I don't I understand, but a deeper read unless the second story I read was wrong and I don't believe it is a deeper red light. Wow I can't believe this is so we'll get to that in a little bit, but we have a lot of football. We are closing in on week one. I can't wait. Let's go cut down day was kind of an event right there. PJ Walker still here. Obviously the injury to Sam Donald has allowed the Panthers to hang onto PJ Walker and Giroux. While baccarat was always good to be all hung on to write these out for the year. They already put them on our so corrals good to be here rehabbing. He will not count against the 53 man roster, but if chorale and Arnold do not get hurt PJ Walker is looking for work mean fact, only that's what is but chorale gets injured and to be honest.

PJ Walker was still going to be looking for work until Sam Donald got her Donald's ankle injury which will keep him out. My guess is at least a month really opened the door for PJ Walker to stick around that that that doesn't mean that PJ Walker will stick around.

The Panthers might in the next 10 days between now and the time they set their roster for next version of this but the 11th September 11 they might find another quarterback after that they want, maybe they want that David Blau guy that the other lions cut of the line to try to bring back the practice run. Maybe they'll trade for Jimmy J demonstrated for quarterback and more than a month. That's been a minute so who knows what the answer to disobedient walkers back Justin Burris did not make the cut. Former NC State got safety who some people thought might push for a starting role was release printed zoster is more of a specialty with anything else. He was waived with this condition knows some of acquisition moved out Keith Kirkwood and Eddie Pinero is the new kick in year. I'm so near. We have a new idea.

Great start to the college football season with already started the college football season for some people look some of us are still basking in the glow of Northwestern over Nebraska because were huge Northwestern fans, but we appreciate the schadenfreude of what's happening in like locally speaking we talked about yesterday. We will discuss it more today as well, State, and Caroline are on the road. ECU and Apple respectively. Both new kicks on Saturday, which makes me mad but whatever ex-wife why Al Gore invented multiple screens way coasts, but he invented the Internet. I know I know you're very way.

Coasts VMI on Thursday.

Duke opens Friday at home. The temple back to Thursday night looked locally. We've got a bunch of FCS goals, said Alec Campbell, Campbell's candles taken a step forward and go to the CAA. They announce the move to the colonial.

They will be, but citadels at Campbell Gardner Webb hosts limestone tickets good seats still available. Mars Hill will visit East Tennessee State Saturday E lines at Vanderbilt said out loud, winnable game for a yeah okay for the Phoenix Western Carolina travels Charleston Southern Davidson.

The Jacksonville state.

Davidson might be good this year and of course the big E at Bank of America Stadium 730 Agee Eagle, classic awesome awesome spot for that, but nationally Thursday night backyard brawl West Virginia pit Saturday Florida State at LSU. These are either these teams are ranked Florida State won't nobody surprise and forsake the right LSU is a three point favorite exit. Really Clemson's at Georgia Tech. The Tigers are favored by a lot Oregon to Georgia. Cincinnati's Arkansas Houston Texas San Antonio Utah at Florida Notre Dame at the horseshoe against Ohio State. Should be pretty.

So I'm always good Jim out to fiddler on the roof and that style cut down the across the NFL. What I think cut down day. Find out what I said in the brave of the men cut down day across the NFL produced really a collective yawn.

In most places they really were. While that guy got released in Las Vegas. However, Alex Leatherwood offensive lineman out of Alabama. I think he was a starting right tackle drafted in the first round last season was one second the first round pick last year raters are. And this is surely football the rate is all right but I'm sure there's often no longer remissions, but the raters are eating almost $9 million in debt. Wow, right. This guy can be a backup for a serious look all three first rounders from last year are gone not on the roster. Two of them have nothing to do football, you know that one of them is Henry rucks yeah but Alex Leatherwood. I remember talking to Mike told her about whether we loved Alex Leatherwood. I have to imagine that Leatherwood is going to be picked up now. I'm sure that there are is already been a claim on Alex letter. Amazing stuff, so there was another raters new sort of get to more of this in the second but John Gruden speaking at Little Rock Arkansas touchdown club and he asked for forgiveness said it was a good person will let you hear that in a little bit fast Jimmy garrotte below wasn't traded wasn't released by the 49ers.

He was retained.

This is causing a lot of people, confusion, I will simply ask this. Why wouldn't the 49ers keep a good backup quarterback but we got Jerry Jones stuff to talk about just a few minutes. Sorry I was before and I'm fascinated by this. I know I don't know what it what there is to say about it other than that's cool the Yankees and Red Sox are going to be friends. In this way, Fenway sports group owned by Ron John Henry is the owner of that as the other partners including Lebron James.

By the way yeah Lebron James is a part owner of Fenway sports group they have completed the purchase of AC Milan, who is the I believe the reigning champions of Siri the Italian footballing so they play enter the Derby and they probably don't call it a Derby in Italy Saturday at noon.

The Yankees are a minority stakeholder in AC Milan, the Red Sox and Yankees both own AC Milan that's awesome to me that's tremendous. I can't wait to write $1.2 billion purchase price you and I were talking about this before the show because Fenway sports group owns Liverpool one fourth of the premier league are owned by Americans. The other four clubs that other than Liverpool are owned by NFL owners shotgun owns full stand crime kilos. The Rams checked out of the Jacksonville Jaguars should stand crime kilos. The Rams they own arsenal uncertain there's a baseball angler Todd Boley ordered part owner of the Dodgers just bought Chelsea this year.

Yeah and try to remember at the top.

I had the. The other one that I'm drawing a blank on Malcolm Glazer, Buccaneers owner owns menu yeah okay this is why we watch football, you can spell it how you like, as opposed to American NFL owners. They know they with a really just kidding.

No wonder that Jack's voice was going over all they know. That's got to Wembley. That's a real think yeah that God has done that. They've also they don't sell out tickets in Jacksonville or enough tickets so they can take their home games over there and pretend that their growing game horse.

They're not there making money which again is fine. Speaking of growing game admit it or not, and making money shouts to Harold Vardy what did you want to play some sort of a transition year I jumped the gun on this is yesterday bunch of live golfers Harold Varner cam Smith others. Couple of very quick things about this because I again this is not an anti-little thing I have no problem with people don't do this zero Varner said the this stuff out loud that nobody else seems to want to say he did it for money.

Thank you. That's really what anybody's just don't don't give us the book the BS line. I almost said something I should give us the BS line tell us the real reason we don't really Harold Varner said this was financially life-changing.

Yeah, cam Smith said not a lot money was a big deal really, really, he said. The schedule also mattered to him will see if you're still good before supply 14 events so I can give you as much time at home as you think that's what lease they said money quick story about live none story about Lou but this is a lot of these players are to be playing at the DP world for the European tour top event which is the BMW championship. It's sort of their if there players championship and to be about 20 of them in the field from the from the live from the live tour. The DP world tour sent a please don't wear live gear at our event saying you can't wear it they said we would prefer if you didn't because you can't prevent you can't ban somebody from wearing a sponsor logo and they are sponsored by live just think this could be if Cynthia is all right back to that is not a ton more to say about Panthers cut down day other than well.

Eddie Pinero, I'm sorry to near was he good for the Bears. I mean he wasn't terrible.

The Bears haven't had a good characters since Robbie go so just leave it on to the college football season and the beginning we talked a lot yesterday about we we heard from Dave Dorn about their trip to East Carolina. Shall we listen to Mike Houston, the head coach of the Pirates and this is another step in the growth of this program.

This is year five.

Know your 417175 last year, and these are the kind of games they want to play will be a challenging matchup but the ones were really excited about excited about the response part nations had since I got here and we talk about this when I was hired getting getting program back to where you know this is this what we expect on game days, so it's a good seek that come to reality. I'm excited for fan base and her kids are they 133 games.

I believe in your one or maybe it was for games that they were under 500 in the first two years. How do you compare that to now. We were outmanned badly on that day in 2019 company that going in the season, you just you can only do so much and six months you gotta come about as much cam which have but you obviously it was a spotlight on were our program was at that time in comparison to the audience. He states now think that there's been a lot of work done in recruiting and development and growth in the year there's a handful of guys are on the field of the game in 2019, nor will be on the field Saturday and just seeing how they groan and see how the program grown, you know it's it's a different program. There is a lot of players from both teams that will be on the field that were on the field. 2019 is the last time state and East Carolina played they played in 18 and 19. Both games at Carter Finley Stadium. Look, I'm fascinated by it.

I still think NC State, by far, has the better team will hear more from Mike Houston a little bit later on, but it really is part of a really fun I think opening weekend of college football. All right, citizen NFL salad that we are making here. There are just a number of stories that I think a really fascinating and we will start in Vegas was not really in Vegas this were to start with the former head coach of the Las Vegas Raiders, John Britton, who you may recall last year was what he resigned. But of course he was fired by the Raiders when emails surfaced in which he referred to Damaris Smith, the Executive Director of the NFL's players Association as rubber lips an email with then Washington, Pres., was that Alan, one of my forgetting is 1st.George Allen, George Allen, son, anyway. Regards. It was it was an investigation into Washington and it revealed these emails from from John good so he got bounced and rightly justifiably so.

So he is sort of asking for forgiveness at the Arkansas Little Rock Arkansas touchdown club here. Well, I appreciate I'm not going to say anything but honest things here.

I'm ashamed about. What is a come about in these emails shall make no excuses for his it's it's shameful. But I am a good person. I believe that I go to church been married for 31 years, three great boys. I still love football. I makes mistakes, but I don't think anybody else in here hasn't I just asked for forgiveness and hopefully get another shot. Jim Jones also go to church maybe think so. I I don't even know what that means. I'm a good person. I go to church.

I don't know what that means.

Does that mean that that denotes good people mean I'm sure everybody who is a churchgoer in the audience knows somebody who is also a churchgoer over was a jackass and a mean-spirited person like this is not a well here's proof like not even say that John is not a nice person. He obviously has thoughts that got him fired.

You called Damaris Smith rubber lips not because he lies.

It used to call them rubber lips, no, no, I don't even know if it does John Gruden deserve another chance. I don't work.

He deserves another chance.

If if he's a really good football coach and you're willing to look past whatever these thoughts are. I will also say that I'm pretty sure that John Gruden is not the only coach in the NFL who has maybe not.

Didn't use the term rubber lips but has said something else incredibly disrespectful, racist and stupid. So I don't know that that disqualifies you from being a coach, but is he worth bringing back the leak. I would argue no. I would argue that the Raiders and the.net in the first place.

All right, Jerry Jones why I'm fascinated by this story and how this plays out because there's so much unspoken meaning here Jerry Jones that his weekly hit with guess it's the fan in Dallas, 105 point something 153105.

Doubt and I Jerry sort of laid down the law like that continually reminded that we need to not only get to get quite deep into the playoffs. So we got a chance to statements reflecting think it is a narrative of the patent they get reflected in our decision-making spring Let go grotto so that is there yet in a better spot stay longer in the playoff. I assume, is that a directive at Mike McCarthy have a better regular-season go on a deep playoff run or else may I write maybe. Maybe.

So I would I would point to this for Dallas.

This might be a reflection of the organization as a whole like. First of all, no offense, they should've never hired Mike McCarthy in the first month Mike McCarthy as a higher is literally the equivalent of like running off tackle on third infantry. It could not be a more conservative higher than hiring Mike McCarthy. I'm not saying that you should Jason Garrett because Jason Garrett was a draw play on third and eight but there is we have like competing themes within that team like they have enough talent they should just let it rip. But I would argue that it's a really an organizational failure. I think Jerry Jones is becoming good general manager I don't think he's a bad general manager, but he is decision-making with head coaches and with when to get Jack Prescott signed have had ripple effects.

They Jason Garrett too long to hire the wrong guy Mike McCarthy and they waited. I think at least one year, maybe two years too long to deal with that Prescott, I think they try to sign him early writing desk deck Prescott played the longer he did what sewing there's always two sides the street if if deck Prescott read the room.

He knew where salaries were going Jerry Jones and company didn't read the room Baltimore ravens are making the same mistake.

The quicker you if you identify him as your quarterback of the future and it's clear after year one.

The Cowboys knew the deck Prescott was there quarterback in the future. Whether it was a top-five quarterback or not… When you identify them as your guy as soon you can get it done. You get it done because it saves you money in the long run that Prescott salary cap hit next year is $49 million Galway Dallas can stomach that there will be a restructuring which means that that's getting paid again. Yeah, the cowboy screwed that up from jump street fighter guy getting paid outside again.

I think Jack said I'll gonna wait right doesn't matter what your offer right now I'm waiting you can't just be a contract when I consider and say no. Not great but at the time, Jack was looking for in the neighborhood of 35 year Cowboys wanted to pay them 30 right. If you do the deal for 35 year right and you stretch it out long term. The Pits that are coming up aren't there. The cabinets are smaller ultimately cornerbacks in this league are going to get paid ridiculous money everybody knew this, apparently, except for Jerry Jones and Skiba shot he is going to have the same problem. I like I said this two weeks ago three weeks ago Lamar Jackson. He wants the Sean Watson guaranteed money right given still in give it to them. You don't guarantee all contract. Yes, yet you tap dummy years onto it, to lower the Same hard $40 million guaranteed. He's a ridiculous football player. He's better than the Sean Watson given the money he's your guy. It cost you money did not do it. This is not this is not brain surgery. I did, I don't understand why teams are doing this but they do and they get burned in the long run golden studio with my friend Coach Pete through it with the capital financial advisory group. We are talking retirement coach house longevity risk figure into our retirement and income plan. This is the best of times and the worst of times and longevity risk to live too long, but to me everyday lives not too long we want to money to outlive us and unfortunately many people have seen you out there listening.

Maybe one of them. Your money is not designed to outlive you. You might outlive your money and that's not what we want to have happen as we get to that day after you run out of money not to be a fun time.

Let's design a plan that guarantees will never run out of money.

We call it the GPI plant growth protection lifetime income for the next 10 people is a golden ticket out of the snow. They were to do it. No cost or obligation, and all you have to do is call we make it so easy. Would you like financial independence into your retirement and beyond it. 800-661-7383 that golden ticket is $1000 value or you could text Adam to 21000 for Coach Pete to root Mets and Dodgers at Citi Field last night did not go the way of the home team that bums me out. Mets lose for three of the Dodgers. But the play again today and it will be Jacob pogrom Wednesday. That's exciting.

Maybe not as exciting as owning an entire league and that's what was announced today as full disclosure company that owns us capital broadcasting now owns the coastal plain league college baseball wood bat summer league, which is fun. There's a team in Holly Springs.

The salamanders infected Scott, you are wearing a Holly Springs salamanders T-shirt you stab the set, the savanna bananas in the lead but they went on their own that there like they were like Beyoncé and they went out on their own.

Mike Burling is the general manager of the Durham Bulls durables also owned by capital broadcasting there to run the coastal plain league you went from from running two teams to running 13 teams no more 15 teams are you ready or whatever the number is 14 are you ready for no pillow could ever be ready for our work. Pretty cool really enjoyed owning the Holly Springs salamanders team and really learning about the coastal plain league in all the changes that we have the durable, gone through with with minor-league baseball that were really excited about. So is this very simple question. What what are the differences other than college kids don't get paid which great scam for the for the coastal plain league. What are the differences between owning and operating a high level. One of you know, one of the two or three best triple maybe the best AAA franchise in the country and a team in a college you wouldn't bat college prep league really not a lot.

Not now. Like the changes that we got through it. You made it different than what was previously highly popular, more like the old minor-league baseball but that's what work that's why were excited about owning the league because I think we can take that expertise that we have with durables and with just our history of Marley baseball that we can work with you and your incredible owners that own all these different 12 of 13 to Holly Springs to work with them in and share, that expertise can dinner today we want to grow their business. We want to grow their fan base. We want to grow their impact on the committee on their different community and that's what excites us about owning the league and working with owners completely's been around for about me. I'm just getting all parked here about 20 years or so and it's become one of the best summer leagues for college kids want to get experiences the hitters using wooden bats. I guess it's experience for pictures to because pitching inside has greater benefits then that it does with the composite bats, but just how is this product grown over the last 20 years. Who are you trying to look at what happened.

College baseball 20 years ago nobody was going to college before going out look around our country members 40, 50, $69 million stadium and built for college and the college baseball is really come a long way and just the whole dynamics of scouting players has changed so dramatically with analytics and with our relationship with my joy. Baseball with the greatest yet we think what what were looking at this in two different levels.

Baseball side which we can have far more of an impact on the baseball Marley glove work environment level. As you know, we are told to write weekly. You were the ones developing the team were the one deciding which players we want were the ones working with the track man companies in the Bureau trying to get our analytics out and that's a huge Boulevard we want to have as many players drafted as possible out of the coastal plain like that only grows what were trying to do and then you do the flip side of the business. The hardware thing thing we want to do what we do over here in Durham in Holly Springs to try to get as many fans as possible to really engage in the sport of baseball because as you know, that's changing. You know the demographic of of major league baseball is much older than a lot of other major sports and we feel we can have an impact on that more up to lower level communities where minor-league teams have left over the past 10, 20, 30 years. The most recent major league baseball restructuring will use use that term took about 20 or so minor-league franchises out of the minor-league professional minor-league system and encourage them to become know college wouldn't bat leagues in the summer you guys the Cape Cod league.

I think there's one in the Northwest they have had come along a long-standing head start six of the other 12 franchises are in North Carolina, most of which do not have names as cool as the Holly Springs salamanders.

What were the plans that maybe you have kinda circulate some things around the league to try new, different things. Too bad the savanna bananas are out they become like the Harlem Globetrotters of of baseball. I think that's what they're trying to be now. They were part of this of this whole thing, but you have plans to like try some different things gimmicks around the game.

One column gimmicks. I think we you we are very much part of the game of Marley thought, I don't think were looking. Believe me, I'm a big fan of Jessica all of three years. I don't not going to go in that direction, but you are there things that we can try the what what what made you fall, trying to hold especially this year with Clarkson you know shifting and things like that. The good thing we have is with such great relationships with college coaches from Carolina Duke into state week we can ask them and we can really learn from them are what would you want to see in a college wouldn't bat league that you would you hope could eventually become part of the ACC or become part of the FCC limited bigger conferences. We want to look at that and that's something were not in control of owning a minor-league team but we would have control over that owning a league like the coast point. So I think target that you probably first on the right way. We have to work with the owners and and really get comfortable. What that vision is long-term but but yet I do stuff like that we think is something we can try out and testing and see what the reaction of the parent. II actually like it's a sand castle style ball euro.

I like that is out of school. I also like no bunting.

I love that you know that well yes, but they still allow it without penalty of group of incarcerations that let me ask you one. This is a bigger picture baseball story. I'm just curious, and I there are probably things you cannot say, for a lot of reasons, but minor-league baseball players have essentially are are being offered unionization. Major league baseball players Association basically hired a staff of people that were all working on as advocates for minor-league players in there to try to bring them into the base major league baseball players Association is even how you answer the question, but how does this impact what you do. Is there a way you can like skirt or skirt around this issue without getting yourself or the bulls in trouble. Let me what is this mean mean anything for AAA baseball. But what does it mean overall. Yeah I think that's what I would say what it means for AAA or Carlos Irwin for a lower rate. You know, and have been fortunate enough to work in singling and AAA writers different players here are are paid much differently, yet there have been great steps made over the last 2448 month especially on the housing front, but you think of the bus at our level you're flying around your buses are really nice. Labor buses right there.

There are some things I think everybody would agree to be changed now. You have business catch us off guard sure that you sound like a lot of stuff that was in the works, so I don't think the train was already heading down the path of trying to fix a lot of this now there are some concerns on our side.

You know what, what does that mean we just lost 40 Marley continued to lose some more now that that's an obvious concern, but I hope everybody at the end of the day the best interest is that we have an incredible game. Here we have incredible players yelled at what they do is special on the field the best of the best and we have to figure out a way on both sides from the business side and from health and wellness standpoint how do we make sure that that will take care of any players talk about this being a priority for them. I'm just I don't I don't know that you have discussions you really I really, been my years in 27 of my never heard anybody talking about but now the last couple years deftly on the forefront stuff like discussions that I have on the field and in the locker room and I think for the first time you major league players are really looking down and saying hey we need to fix this and we need to help them in whatever that means going forward in yeah hopefully we can you know collectively work on a path to make sure we just continue to strengthen this great game anymore. Guys like conformable pitcher David Price who did me pay all of the Dodgers minor leaguers during the pandemic year that the guys who couldn't get paid because there was a game right yeah and I and I think our servers on the executive committee. It was just down the where AA got out of rehab. It had the love of what the impact is back at back 50 and 50 years ago yet to be a league baseball player yet is so different now. It is stuff you guys are nonstop working whether working on yoga health impact the nutrition impact all that is so new of the last three for five years the analytics. Back in the day you finish the games that are on the call about now you can game and you are good. No, reports to analyze everything you did during the games try to make it better so different that it was even five, 10 years ago – I hope that doesn't come the radio Mike Burling, general manager of the durables and the Holly Springs salamanders and now I guess you're running entirely. I appreciate your time.

A final talk to you very soon. Thank you, thank you, Mike Burling here on the atom gold so the others. Another element about this that is, again, I'm not trying characterize it as troubling or one but we've trimmed from like 160 minor-league teams 220, but the draft went from let's just say conservatively 45 rounds to 20 rounds, so there are more undrafted players than we've ever had. Who would otherwise be drafted and maybe have some options. Maybe get some bonus money so there like maybe the college leagues are going to be popping up in more places.

Because these kids still need more development and development with wood bats and there is fewer opportunities at the minor-league level to develop, but it is kind of scams. Although NII will get these get some so will be able to earn money is baseball players in the off-season. June 19, 2006, but it all started May 6, 1997 with the announcement that the Hartford whalers were coming to North Carolina transition of heartbreak. Figuring it out on the fly became 25th anniversary of the presented by the Carolina listen I just report on Twitter writer in Boston is on site for the live golf event which is this weekend in Boston and I we see this every time a live golf event happens like they are amazed that like at the driving range and putting green. There's like a DJ set up and he's playing what house music. Whatever it is club music like yeah so what is fine I I am an advocate for sustained noise in golf for since I been doing radio like I don't believe you should have to like if Islam is were not doing things to distract the players in their back swings, then like sustained noise.

How come athletes at the free-throw line can shoot free throws with people screaming and yelling and even people doing strange things behind the basket. Yeah, they did they not need to concentrate as long as the noises sustained. It will matter it just becomes white noise in the background so Phil Mickelson's putting is on the putting green like yeah he just I'm sure you don't even hear because it's just all background noise, but we get we get kind of like this. Can't believe this is happening like that big a deal this is.

I think also not that big a deal, but we are in a I guess this is the we've always talked about.

Not as much goes on as you think in the off-season to be NFL. Which is why we talk about Panthers quarterback situation for eight weeks. Yeah. So Jimmy garrotte below is no longer the starting quarterback in Sanskrit 49ers and Kyle Shanahan head coach didn't waste any time in the off-season, they basically said Trey Lance. You're the guy Jimmy G to get got you to get Don. They tried to trade couldn't you want to release him because asset so now they're keeping him they restructure his contract and they are trying to put the best positive spin on it as they can. Here's Kyle Shanahan on the quarterback situation all will see the first part of that was the real truth is that Jimmy garrotte below because he has been a successful starting quarterback. I don't want to call him very good starting quarterback as I don't think he is but he has been a very good game manager. He has led the 49ers to the one Super Bowl and two and an end to NFC championship games sounds about right is okay that he has been the reason they got married, but he's been.

He hasn't stopped them from getting there.

He's an asset. It's that simple. Otherwise confuses people.

He's not locker room problem sure Jimmy wants to play, but he also understand that he won't. It's Trey Lance's job. So unless Trey Lance gets hurt Jimmy garrotte below will be the backup. Even if Lance plays poorly. Jimmy garrotte below will be the backup. Kyle Shanahan made his decision. He is willing to bite the year if it means a much more successful future for the 49ers and Trey Lance, that's fine.

That's their decision. He and John Lynch, the general manager had made that decision. That's the way they're going and okay I respect that. But all they're trying to do is get something for for the asset they were going to cut garrotte below so I team could get him for nothing.
