Janie Greer gospel dominatrix and let it come out a report in your face, praying, thinking it's love and it's on the spiritual to do that everyday so you all the different pieces which will apply the gospel yourself every day you learn to think through the implications of the gospel for you. I Friday here on life. The Bible teaching ministry of pastor, author and theologian Jeannie Greer. As always, I'm your host Molly, but events were those nightmares where you shop to presentation in her interview, and you're not wearing your I mean it's terrifying. And of course we would never do it in real life.

But today pastor JD explains that we often forget to get dressed. Spiritually, we show up naked to the battle, scary proposition.

If the conclusion of our series called mystery and clarity.

If you missed any part of the study. All Janie Greer.com now here's pastor JD with a message titled, being strong arm on Jesus, take up the breastplate of righteousness take on the breastplate of righteousness means two different things. I think the first is you allow Satan room to mess with you.

What you think about your breastplate of skill to cover all your vital organs and that means that you let God's righteousness saturate every part of you until he has claimed every part of you because Satan will take whatever part of you is uncovered and exposed to him. He will take it and he will use it against you. So you put on yourself a breastplate of righteousness God's ways is righteousness saturate every part of your life. I just think how you relate what you do all of it.

Not another word. Righteousness clear some of you because of several religious not right just as one of the musical got a weird holy sort of the opposite of that word lawlessness right lawlessness to be a part of their life.

Righteousness means that what is right what God sees is right, the proper things to know and love become a part of who you are. Also cover yourself with it the same as that of any place that he can take a habit he could take a relationship they can take a loss of self-control thing a private temper and you should to destroy you or your children. The second thing I think this means is that you begin to feel like God feels we look at the world. Your heart begins to beats with his sense of justice's sense of mercy is righteousness.

I learned something this week that it know about this passage that is the phrase breastplate of righteousness with the Jewish image for somebody that God used to bring justice somewhere when somebody puts on the breastplate of righteousness there becoming God's instrument to create righteousness. Isaiah 59 is a good example is a 55 is talking about injustice in Israel. In verse 15. I think the guy says this in the Lord. Saul the injustice and it displeased him that there was no justice for 16 and he saw that there was no man to stand up for the afflicted. Verse 17 so he the Messiah put on righteousness as a breastplate and a helmet of salvation on his when you put on the breastplate of righteousness you begin to feel what God feels when he sees injustice.

This watch this is how God motivates his people to go into the world to engage in warfare because they see situations of injustice. They see situations of poverty to see situations of suffering and something in them just how could I not go and be a part of making that stop. How could I look at the sex slave trade.

How can I look at people who suffer. How can I look at one 20 billion people in the name of Jesus and just do nothing about. I told you before that when God called me to go overseas.suddenly opened my eyes to 1.8 billion people never heard the name of Jesus time I had prayed pretty sure I was sincere. I pray God, whatever you tell me to do, I'll do it, thinking I was right something in the sky you have some random person on the train to tell me what God wanted my Cheerios after all. Clearly spelled out rather everything out only got told me got over my eyes to one 20 billion people never heard his name. It didn't make sense for me to be waiting on God to tell me to do something that he only told all of us to do we know how he feels about this one. 20 billion measurements a way I compared it is no walking downtown Raleigh walked by us train tracks and on the train tracks is a three-year-old kid who's paralyzed his lantern train track is alive, they can't move you see a train coming we doing a moment to get on your knees like God is you will and the situation what you calling me to do God right in the sky and more I get off the tracks you know will is in the situation you talk about finding God's will. It's not lost. God is not willing that any should perish. We know how he feels about the nations we know how he feels about injustice.

We know how he feels about people that are suffering in our city around the world right put on the breastplate of righteousness and called which way to the next thing he tells about warfare, as shoes for your feet, put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace. Readiness means you understand God's purposes in the world ready to extend them. You understand how God feels that he's only paid the price for every human being in the world to live in peace with him to live full of him in his blessing, so I see over a billion Muslims who think that they observed the five pillars of Islam enough that God will take them to have see millions of Buddhist to think that every cycle of life or having to pay for their sins on their previous life and instinctively you want to say no. There was already one live the perfect life and died a sacrificial death and broke the cycle of violence and having to pay for your own sense if you understand what God is doing in your feet are ready to go when you're looking for opportunity. Nothing about this is when Paul says in the context of warfare is your feet are covered with the preparation of the readiness of gospel of peace means that Christians are very quick to forgive because what forgiveness is what breaks the power the enemy wipe their feet are covered with peace and ready to put peace where there is not peace.

Pete wasn't forgiveness for the believer is the most powerful tool they have in breaking the stronghold of the read a book recently about the genocide that Took Pl. in Rwanda where if you are familiar with this years ago that the Hutus massacred over 800,000 of the two Chase the book I was reading was by Tutsi pastor who wrote this account of how the country of Rwanda.

What it did afterwards and he talked about the fact he meant to say this is the only way to overcome the work of Satan is to forgive not justice you seek justice and is continuing to break it is to forgive even before the people you're forgiving or sorry for what they did. The only way to break the cycle of violence and to overcome the work of the enemy is to forgive them in advance of the story of one woman could watch this one soldier burned her husband and son alive after this genocide.

After this stuff is over. The soldier brought into court confessed his crime, and the judge listening looks at her and asked her what she wants for justice. This elderly woman in her 80s said this is wonder that God forgives this man so I can forgive this man and she said approved to him that my forgiveness is real. I want to know if the court would allow me to embrace him here in the middle. This courtroom at the court would require that she come to my ghetto where I live twice a month so that I can give him as a mother. Some of the love that I still have to give the guy writing this account said justice was not served on that day, but the power of evil was broken. This is the most powerful tool that you have in breaking the cycle of the enemy working your marriage in your family were you work.

Many of you deal with the works of Satan in your marriage on a much lesser scale. Most powerful tool to break his power at work in your family in your marriage is to forgive even before the person who is wronged you, has asked for forgiveness.

You had an ex-husband you got past boyfriend you got something it's your father, mother. You forgive because that shatters the power of the enemy until the cross above all, taking the shield of faith by which we extinguish the fiery darts of the wicked one, fiery darts are the lies of Satan, that he lobs in okay but whatever he lobs in these flaming arrows to you. For example, he tells you the situation you're in its out-of-control government darkness and misery ahead of you retells you notes. That's it too much.

Your divorce you messed up too much to come back and have a significant life. Your future full of failures like your past is been because of mistakes you made.

God's give us for the rest of your life. Try to pay you back for screwing things up.

Those lies are extinguished by faith. Faith in the God that is revealed in the gospel told listen to your heart's gospel doesn't come out your heart gospel because I haven't sometimes contradicts what your heart tells this phrase in Ephesians that have really been enamored with you know that as I say, like every other week right always and everywhere that I'm sure with what he said is in a private twice they would get. This is, I pray that you would understand the link and the height of the breath and the depth of God's love. Belief means God has loved you from all eternity and will love you for all eternity and nothing can ever change that the hide has loved me to understand the intensity of the love that he has for you. The intensity says that is measured by the highest star compared to the earth.

He says the breath of God's love, which means how God controls every molecule of the universe in every circumstance in your life to work his plan in you, of working things for good so that you could know him to be like him, and then the depth of God's love is knowing how far God had to reach how far he had to go to save you to the cross confidence in that extinguishes every dart of our enemy confidence in what the gospel tells you about the length and height and breadth and depth of God's love is what would put out the lies that are coming to you from your circumstances and from your conscience, you extinguish it by confidence in the love of God before we go on to this next one.

That's a good place for you to stop and consider where are you the most likely not to believe God about his forgiveness of your past the security of your future about his ability to guide you in the present, where are you most likely do not believe God situation your marriage or family. One of the things Ron moved to the next one is just too good to pass up shield of faith to the Romans you notice the Romans had perfected this battle technique with their shields using gladiator right mate Mel huddled together, they put them around the umbrella so you see that you the bow and arrow. They'll be that big dome in the tent fortified in every side you check that reason number 838 to be a small group right there. I got in Paul's mind because I knew that Romans made that famous is what happens is sometimes my shield of faith is not large enough to keep me away from his fiery darts, but the person that I'm connected to theirs where I can Tammy times are prayed in the midst of just being discouraged, submissive anguish is hearing somebody pray somebody believing in God and his goodness and his love and his promise for me suddenly covers me in their faith becomes part of my life because we share faith with each other. That's why you should be a small group right. Can we give this non-smoker your non-smoker is the big group nobody knows you clear right take up he says. Next, the helmet of salvation is like I'm being repetitive here, but so was Paul so do it with the knowledge of your salvation dominate your thinking all apply to the gospel. This, sums up all the others in Omega five time come back to the very end we go on the sword of the Spirit's take it, which is the word of God.

We take the word of God.

He said we use it to speak life into people's lives because it is the word of God that creates faith in us creates faith in our children and creates faith in the people around us now interesting here because the sword a life-giving sword which is kind of a contradiction. I normally don't think of sword and life-giving like a scalpel scalpel is a life-giving sword. Now here's the catch.

You gotta know how to use it is not life-giving. I'm sick and I'm at the doctor sums all my heart when I was or what will cut you open them in there with a scalpel. We cut something out. The pictures you you know it's like no do not cut me open you that Scott will meet you know what you're doing now you use it. Here's my question for you again.

How many of you believe that spiritual problems are less significant than physical problems. You should raise your hand.

This is certainly okay.

I know that you know that you believe spiritual dysfunction. Spiritual problems are worse than physical problems.

Physical problem can only kill the body but spiritual bonds can kill the soul master?

Would you ever take your child to a doctor who studied the physical body is a lazily as you study the word of God shall want to hear you say to me. Yes, I believe spiritual problems are more significant physical problems.

I want to say get humbly to you liar, especially your parents. How on earth could you not devote yourself to the word of God, which is much more significant in the life and future of your child, and simply where he gets in the college whether or not he's healthy when he 17 years old you to phone yourself to that word not here yet. Don't walk your that Dr. JD will wait for sure the guy that is the exporting God's word and it's like coming to the doctor you applied.

Thank you for that conflict. Okay should I related here's about I can't be with you when you need to apply the word of God situation you want to make you fight your spouse laid out in your bed your weight on your head in your pillow at night. You want me either one okay process that through the Bible. No, I can't be there. Your kids we can 40 hours throughout your 40 hours is all we get you tickets 3000 hours. I can't do 40 hours which you parents have been commissioned as God's chief surgeon in your kids like to do 3000 hours you have got to know the word of God. Reason number 839. We need to be in small group small group will help you learn more about how the word applies to real-life situations about a group of people around you will help you do it.

Finally, praying at all times. He says in the spirit, praying at all times in the spirit because prayer is the instrument's lesson that releases the healing power of God into the world to praying at all times in every situation about what you're up against.

Pray in the spirit that's an important qualification. By the way, in the spirit and a lot that meets Bobby Binkley's in the spirit he just live in some trance right brain think you okay and maybe a small place in the Bible to talk about the wheezes praying in the spirit people get this idea show heroes to work with a guy with a sharp pain in the future.

He slid his eyes go wide many pains like six hours later he wakes up and he doesn't know what is the spirit as you start playing eight hours later you wake up you know what you prayed and prayed in a language he didn't understand. Anyway, that's not we talking about in Ephesians in the spring he told you in the spirit meant Ephesians 3 verse 21 is in the spirit you understand the breath of hyperlink.

The depth of God's love. When you spirit me watch you bring the love of God. You bring the knowledge of how he feels about situations. You bring the knowledge that he loves people he wants to bring healing you bring it into a situation and he release his power in it because you pray in the spirit you pray with knowledge of who he is and what he wants to do. Jesus's miracles. Most of them and I met a lot of work done because somebody perceived how much you love somebody in a situation and just ask him. I know how you feel about this. Would you release your power when my favorite of these miracles is the one with that woman comes up to Jesus.

Jesus walked to some city on a note in his room and walked to some city and this woman comes up to him and she's an old lady from Cy refinish sure wherever that is. She's a Gentile and she goes up to Jesus and says hey Jesus, would you know my daughter, she's really sick and Jesus in the most politically incorrect thing ever set a record of the Bible looks at her and says you know I can like to stop for me to take the bread that was meant for the children, which is Israel and give it to dogs. I was a footnote on that will meet the dog touchy-feely Jesus, you know you know what happened in you funds of these commentators but left on the number of them which say when Jesus said dog bear didn't dog it met little puppy saying little puppy it's okay.

Commentators are actually the biblical language like no dog called her a dog. The woman responds with the most remarkable statement by human being in the Bible, we know that Jesus said it was yes, I'm a dog she knows is not a racial slur to know it's a statement of her unworthiness.

She says I'm a dog. Yes, but there's enough bread on the Masters table that even little dogs like me can get some crops translation what you said is I know that I'm unworthy, but there's so much grace and love flows off of your table. But even somebody like me that's unworthy there's enough love that you care, even for me in my sick which you release your love here Jesus torturous and I've never seen faith like that anywhere your daughters alive and well. What prayer is in the spirit is when you perceive the love of God and you release it. I would go so far as to say watch this prayer and how much you pray shows how much you get all the rest of this because prayer lists mess is the sign of either extreme arrogance or extreme unbelief, extreme arrogance, regionally thinking he got to help you strong yourself or extreme unbelief you normally convince the gods love is real shield asking for. If you are prayerless.

Okay. If you are prayerless, which by the way what I mean but I pray five minutes a week. One minute a day or you know one time: five minutes you very lackluster prayer life. If you are prayerless. It's not because you're not self discipline. It's not because you will need to form some better habits you are prayerless because you are arrogant and unbelieving and you need to build a real problem if you were not arrogant, you would know you needed God's help. If you are believing you know how willing you to give it and you would find yourself praying at all times and all places because you know how desperate you are for the power of God are prayerless. Don't blame it on your lack of self-discipline put in the residual diet you put in the category that you have a belief in the gospel problem and when you understand that you can be strong and confident to God and we can yourself you will pray Paul Miller disguise book I read. If you're not praying you are quietly confident that your time, money and talent are all you really need in life is the gospel dominate your thinking dominate your thinking. Let it come out a report in your face and your body praying, it's thinking it's love and it's put on the spiritual to do that every day so you think of all the different pieces to join apply the gospel yourself every day you learn to think through the applications of the gospel for your life every day once a week not want to be free regionally to communion every day. Apply the gospel to you the gospel is the power of God unto salvation make it preach the gospel to ourselves every day as he pray do so.
