The Creative Word - The Living Word, Part 7

Today's message as part of an in-depth study entitled the spoken word series, which includes teaching on the creative word of God because everything that's created, visible and invisible God spoke into being.

Well, today is our final session of our series on the spoken word of God and our first session we talked about the creative word and last week we began with the living word and that part was about revelation.

The revelation is the two mouths sword of the Spirit.

Amen God's now speaks to our spirit, a Rhema word, a word from the written word quickens it or makes it alive in our spirit and then we come into agreement with God. And we say the same thing that God says and when we speak it out of our mouth. It then and only then becomes a two edge sword and it is the one weapon against which are adversary, Satan has no defense. Amen. And so today we will give our final session on the application. If you have your Bibles turn with me to Luke the fourth chapter will be spending time in the Gospels today and will begin to Luke the fourth chapter, beginning with verse one and Jesus being full of the Holy Ghost returned from Jordan and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness being 40 days, tempted of the devil. And in those days. He did eat nothing and when they were ended. He afterward hungered, and the devil set on the him, if thou be the son of God command this stone that it be made bread and Jesus answered him, saying it is written, that man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God and the devil taken them up into a high mountain shogun.

It is said, thou shall not tempt the Lord thy God, and when the devil had ended all the temptation he departed from him for a season for a season. Now we are all familiar with the temptation of Christ. But I wanted to read it again. Number one I wanted to be recorded, but also generally speaking we always think of the three temptations that that we were given by John in first John 216 where he said all that is in the world is the lust of the eye, the lust of the flesh and the pride of life, and that would be correct. He was tempted on these things.

These are the three temptations.

However I see here not only those three temptations. I see three challenges Satan challenged Jesus on three things his identity, his authority and his faith. Notice how he said in the beginning, if thou be the son of God he challenged him on his identity who he is, amen, the son of God, and then he challenged him on his authority because he said all this lender all the glory of these kingdoms and you notice that Jesus did not dispute him when he said I can give us all to you dispute him amen. He challenged him on his authority. Amen. But Jesus said it is written that will only worship the Lord thy God. Amen. And then he challenged him on his face and I think this is where he gets a lot of people that are season Christians.

Amen. He said why don't you just jump off here often the pinnacle of the temple and you know what the Bible says is going to send angels and the bear you up in their hands.

Now Jesus was to accidentally fall off something. Amen. Then the angels would come and the same with you and me if we happen to be in a precarious situation and danger.

Is there something catastrophic is about ready to happen to us.

God sends his angels the barest stop but we wouldn't get up there and jump off on our own. Amen. Because if we do word like a priest the other day you're going to find out that the law of gravity is not rescinded Christian. Amen.

And so he challenged him on his identity, his authority and his faith in Satan's going to come the very same way, to you and me.

He is going to challenge you on your identity, you have got to know you must know of a surety that you are a child of God.

And when you know that you are a child of God you know Satan has nothing in you. I love this verse are quoted to you have to turn their first John 48. Whosoever is born of God, that would be me anybody else. Whosoever is born of God keeps himself and the wicked one touches him not another word to be read in the whole chapter he keeps himself from the world. Amen. I don't purposefully go out there and get on the devil's territory doing the devil's thing. I'm not trying to prove anything to the devil. Amen. I keep myself from the world and the wicked one cannot touch me. I like to put it together with with second printing the six chapter where he says, come out from the world and be a separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing, and I'll be your God, and I'll be your father will be my sons and daughters.

I like to put these two verses together and I say touch not and you will be touched the world. Amen. And when the devil comes after you. You shall not be touched because when you know you're a child of God, the devil is already starting off in a losing position. Amen. Because when you know that you're in the family of God. You know you have the family name.

Amen. You know what your family name is in the natural and when you know you're born again and you're a child of God, you, the family name when you're in the family of God. The family name gives you the over all the power of the devil you know what Jesus said in Luke 1019 behold, I give you power over all the power of the enemy, but you know well that this course power is really at Susie in the Greek and it means authority you would do well to just write in your Bible in the margin narrative because the power every time authority trumps power. You know you had the family name Jesus said in Mark 1617 in my name in my authority, they shall cast out devils. They shall take up serpents and scorpions and nothing by any means shall hurt them if they drink any deadly thing, it's not going to hurt them. This does not mean that you tempt God by going out there and get a rattlesnake and and and and you know and and pray over it and let me tell you something that is still alive and well in some places in America today and people die regularly from such idiotic things as bringing snake sitting chicken almond and all that in and handling them in believing they're not going to die, but the snakebites then and they'll get the antidote they die. So what is that say about their faith. It really doesn't say so much about their faith, as it says about the stupidity.

Amen not Satan is going to try you on this. And then he's going to come against you with your identity with your authority and your faith no matter how long your saved you will always have the devil challenge on your face sometimes is going to you don't have anything that is not too little faith that we faith. Amen.

The devil is a liar because Scripture tells us in Romans 12 three God has dealt unto every man the main measure of faith. That means means it the necessary measure whatever I need. Well, I know that I have had faith to get a amen by grace are you saved through faith and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God is not of works lest any man should boast not just quoted Ephesians a second chapter around verse eight so God sued the faith to get saved now if that is good enough to save your soul from hell is not good enough for everything else you need to receive from God.does not get the job they think about puny faith and anemic pain that kind of thing that they give comes down from the father above make you believe that when you are going to take some kind of bait you believe you're going to happen when you die, how many believe it well is not strong enough will not. For everything else and challenges you face. Here's another good one.

First John 54 for whatsoever is born of God cometh the world and this is the victory that overcomes the world, even our faith. God only has one kind of faith, overcoming faith and if you had faith and that's what kind of faith that you had.

Amen. So we have to use the same weapon against our adversary that Jesus used all three times in the devil tempted him or challenged him. He reached all the way back into the book of Deuteronomy and he quoted from the written word. Amen we read that he was full of the Holy Ghost. Amen. And so because he was full of the Holy Ghost. The Holy Ghost was able to give him what does a amen because we found Ephesians 617 that it is the sword of the Spirit.

The reason why all the sword of this marriage is because it's the spirit of God that will quicken that word in your spirit and give you the right word for the right time in due season. Amen. He takes that word that's already stored in your spirit you deposited God's word in your spirit.

This is something we do on a daily basis and then the Holy Spirit is able to quicken that and bring it up out of my mouth. And when we get to our adversary becomes that two mouths sword if you were not here last week and you really should. At that CD.

Amen. And that's what he did word for Jesus. In fact, Isaiah 49 to prophesied about the Messiah and said he has made my mouth like a sharp sword when he comes back in the in the book of revelations we see.

He said then out of his mouth went a sharp two edged sword is the one weapon against which Satan has no defense. Jesus had fasted for 40 days he was hungry.

We read that. Let me tell you something the devil does not fight fair doesn't jump on you when your strong exercise in your spiritual muscles.

That's not when he shows up becomes when you're down when you're discouraged when you're sick. Maybe you are in the hospital or maybe banana church because you can get to church because you're sick amen or something is happening in your like that and that's when he comes the jump when you waited the Jesus was waking a splash. But what he didn't know it, is that we was weak in the flesh.

He was strong in the amen matching power for power or strength were spread about what God overall the power of Satan not mean to fight back with. He had to leave. He had no and when you stand and speak the word of God. He's going to go the first time the second time and speak no now he may come back.

In fact, he probably will come back we read that he departed from him for a season and this is very important in the Greek it actually means he departed from him for an opportunity for a particular opportune time he realized I failed this time I failed I got to go so I'm going to wait for another time when I have an opportunity and then I'm going to come back at him and you know I believe that probably that happened when when Jesus was in Gethsemane but it didn't matter how many times he comes back, if you found out the sword worked the first time. Amen.

Use the same weapon, when he comes back to continue to use the same weapon. He will come sometimes when you're so weak in your body but you cannot allow the weakness of your body to cause you to clam up and become withdrawn you to be bold in your spirit, because faith resides in your spirit, amen.

And when you realize that you do what James 47 says reason devil and he will flee from you. I love this verse. First John 214. You are strong and the word of God abide within you, and you have overcome the wicked one. That's how we overcome is with the word of God and our strength is not dependent on how we feel in our body, or even our emotions but our strength is dependent on how much work in God we had in us and you know all of this message came out of my own experience, and you know note many of you know and I will going to detail but all the years, the many years in which I was housebound and often bedridden. There was here's what's been like 18 hours a day in bed with back pain and the thing that brought me out. I had that I had to come out of the despair that I had to come out of the hopelessness of it. I had to come out of the mental and emotional fatigue as well as the spiritual and is when I begin to latch on to this truth, and started using the word of God.

And so every morning when I would get out my Bible and my devotions and things and before I would even read one word and that might begin to this and I still to this day, do it every day in the morning before I open my Bible, my devotions, this is what I say I say a word to keep and a word to give, by every proceeding word I live a word to give an award to keep a rainbow word. Deep calls to deep deep within me for this word in my mouth a sharp two-edged sword lie against this weapon, you have no defense. I say that every morning before I even opened the Bible and the word of God. I already prepared myself and I've already serve notice on the devil I would read something like now. I read it 100 times already but what I'm about to read is going to be sharpening my sword. Amen. Because your victory will be won or lost by the words of your mouth. This is a powerful proverb.

Many of you know it, but will quote it, you can turn your Bible if you want to.

Proverbs 1821 life and death are in the power of the tongue, and they love it shall eat the fruit thereof.

Proverbs 1312 and a man shall eat of the good fruit of his mouth basically what this is saying is what you speak will either bring life and healing and deliverance and blessings or it will bring curses and sickness and defeat. It all depends on what you speak your words my words affect our physical bodies, whether to the negative or to the positive. For instance, how do lie detectors work.

Amen.

How they work, because when a person is lying there blood pressure goes up there heart rate goes up.

Sometimes they even begin to perspire and all these things can be measured. It electronically. Amen they can measure it in so that tells them you're probably lying amen because her then ask all kinds of questions. You know what your cats name all my cats name is Shakespeare and your cats name is Shakespeare. It would be fine to ask all kinds of mundane questions, but when they start zooming in on the matter at hand and they begin to ask you questions if you are trying to hide something if you're trying not to confess something and you will I chances are it's going to show up on that lie detector thing is the wound because your blood pressure went up in your heart rate went up. Amen. And so you can see the straits to what how influential are our to our physical health. I just heard this literally almost as I was going out the door and I thought oh I got remember that because I hope it will fit under throw it in here.

Hope little step. Anyway was a story I was doing the radio about a surgeon who was a Christian surgeon and he was doing a open heart surgery on a lady who was I think the member of the church. He went to an she had a very serious to a defect with her heart and it required open-heart surgery and he told her upfront that were good have to stop your heart while were doing this but when the surgeries over all I have to do is touch the heart and it'll go back to be so that the operation was in progress. It was finished and it was successful and but when he whatever he did is the heart didn't beat and he did it again. It didn't beat.

And so it didn't matter. Every time he touched it. Nothing happened and he finally walked around the head of the bed, took off his surgeons mask and bent down and whispered in her ear and said Mrs. Johnson, your surgery is successful. I've repaired your heart. Now you tell your heart to start beating what happened.

It started beating. Amen. Because that help our thoughts and our words are to us that our health amen out of the abundance about heart are now so that means that whatever were you knowing, whatever were thinking. No one is going to come out our mouth and our bodies are going to respond whether good or bad. Amen. It's in your life that that sword is forged lighted begin. So what are you feeding your mind, what is the menu that you have your mind that's another whole message that I don't have time for, but let it suffice to say this meditation on mouse.

Can become the medication of our flesh, so if you pay, you can meditate. Amen.

Whatever you meditate on because it tells us in Proverbs appointments 23 423 seven so shall he be another words, whatever you think is what you're going to become. Amen. What ever your good night you're going to be what you think you're going to get what you speak so your meditation is important because out of your mouth. You're either going to speak that which is going to bless and make you healthy and whole. Or that's going to cause your problem to only get worse. Saints listen to me when you speak thou and fear and unbelief is like to take the sword out of your mouth and stick it in the devils because there are no let me tell you something you're either gonna get the good or the bad there is no neutral neutrality here. You understand that the Bible says where ensnared by the words of my mouth. That's Proverbs 60 wears ensnared by the words of my mouth and sometimes more believing God for healing and were on our way.

We snare our own selves by things that we say things that other people say that are negative, we cannot let them get into our spirit. I don't know how many times I fell for that. I repeated that mistake. Many times I would get in the service and that God would touch me and I would touch and I would really be encouraged and some would say something and most the time they didn't even have any idea on the talk nothing. Something real real bad but you say something a little something that would strike fear in my heart and then it seemed like it just undid everything that I had just received from the Lord and I had to get smart I had to get smart and begin to realize when I got really touched. Get ready get the shield out there who just got something really good from the Lord. He really touched you. Now get so that when times are immediately shipped in your heart. Amen, amen. I really hope you're being blessed and spiritually enlightened by this teaching the spoken word series. This revelation was forged in my spirit during a time of prolonged suffering in my body, which triggered emotional and mental anguish. I had always had a strong spirit of faith. But after being homebound and bedridden. I despaired in my distress I begged God for a word to hold onto and he gave me. John 15 seven if you abide in me and my words abide in you, you will ask what you will and it shall be done. Honestly, I was disappointed I wanted something more dramatic, but then I began to get this revelation of God spoken word and gradually as I put it in the practice.

I overcame the attacks of the adversary. The foundation is the creative word.

The word of God literally spoke everything into existence.

He framed the worlds and he upholds all things by the word of his power. The revelation is the authority that Jesus the word of God made flesh and dwelt amongst us had himself and gave to us to speak the word as a sharp two-edged sword against the enemy. The literal Greek says to mouth to sword one mouth is God's.

And the second is mine or yours. When we speak forth the word that God quickens to our spirits. This creates the one weapon against which Satan has no defense. Rhema is not a magical formula. It is the active living word of God. A word from the word that comes out of our mouth.
