Follow the Ark! Part 2

Everybody thought well you know undergoing inerrant, we won't bother them, but the Lord set it up so that he could use Rahab to protect them.

But here's what I want you here and let's look in second chapter verse nine.

This is Rahab speaking and she said the man.

I know that the Lord has given you the land she know she's not Israelite. She is giving you the land is upon us, and that all the land because of you, for we have her child, the Lord dried up the water of the Red Sea for you when you came out of Egypt, and what he did under the two kings of the Amorites that were on the other side of Jordan Psion and utterly destroyed by an giant energy went on, she said, and as soon as we heard these things are and neither did the remaining work, courage, and any man because of you, for the Lord your God, God in heaven above and in the earth beneath my goodness. So now it's time chapter 3, and Joshua rose up early in the morning and they removed from and came to Jordan this is the river he and all the children of Israel and lodged there before they passed over. They make at the edge of the river and it came to pass after three days, that the officers went through the host. Now that would be you know there was 12 tribes in every tribe had leaders in the army was made up of men 20 years and up that would be the host and they commanded the people, saying, when you see the Ark of the cotton of the Lord your God, and the priest of the league, but by burying it then you shall remove from your place and go after it. They come to the Jordan River and boats they had going as far as they could go just like their parents and going to the Red Sea could go no further and God had to do a miracle.

Let me tell you something this group. This generation you're this new young generation here they needed their own miracle if they were going to get across the Jordan and so Joshua commanded the leaders to go through and prepare the people, and here's what he said you CVR carried by the priest.

The goal is not real, not only the presence of God and how we going to go after the presence of God. We want to see God's awesome power, he has not changed. When you have on our you want that holy conviction more than anything in the world and I love God's blessings and I love his joy and I love when I just feel the Holy Ghost all over the till almost 10. So if the Holy Ghost is the spirit of God. And when God and I was face to face with and then what is my response. Lord forgive me Lord, cleanse me Lord, help me. I didn't love you any less. When you were in the middle of but I can bless you more and I can give you more of my personal presence and not dwell amongst those were holy. Amen. Sanctify yourself.

You can follow man's religious programming of any kind what you want but you can follow God's. He's not gonna dwell in them holy temple in Reno.

When you understand you been bought with a price. You're not your own. You are the holy of holy all right, let's move on. We got we got to this Jordan River get over okay verse seven and the Lord said to Joshua this day will I begin to magnify the in the sight of all of Israel that they may know that as I was with Moses, so why will be with me as thou shalt command the priests that bear the ark of the covenant when you are calm to the brink of the water of Jordan. You shall stand still in Jordan and Josh was that of the children. This will come hither and hear the words of the Lord and Joshua said, hereby you shall know that the living God is among you, and that people without fail, drive out from before you the Canaanites, the Hittites, the highlights to parasites that garbage. I the Amorites and the Jebusites. Behold, the ark of the covenant of the Lord of all the earth passive over before you into Jordan.

So God said to Joshua, he said this a.m. but begin to magnify you for the people said that they will understand that as I was with Moses, so now I am with you and this is very important. First let me say no one can magnify or promote a person's ministry of the Lord, and he doesn't with his anointing and the gifts that he gives you men can put lots of people would lots of offices and positions, but if the Lord is not given that calling that anointing they can sustain it. They cannot sustain it for a while, but after mother gonna run out of whatever it is they're doing. Repeat the same three messages start, you know, the same old thing. Same old thing. You're not going to see the anointing to break the go. Amen. Wednesday there too long that only God can promote a ministry and it was extremely important, it was necessary for God publicly publicly before the people I let his anointing and approval be upon Joshua because they were getting ready to take on a tremendous undertaking, and there had to be unity. Amen in order for there to be unity to be someone who has the word of the Lord tells him this is what were going to do because if you leading up to the people. All we like sheep going astray. Amen. People come under that murmuring and complaining and they're all think about what you're saying is they were ready to get a leader to go back and you knew there would be now facing causing this Jordan and you might have a action step in and that Jordan was supposed to go that way. I think we need to go another way. I think we need to stay and so God knew that he had to put Joshua out there is the man of faith and power.

Amen said that they would not know chided elect somebody else and I won't go into it but actually before Moses died died. He actually laid hands on Joshua before all the people and said this is the one that God's chosen to lead you in. Amen.

Okay. So he said to them. Joshua now says here's what I want you to see when you come to the brink of the water of Jordan.

You shall stand still in Jordan and he told the children of Israel, when you see the ark of the covenant go before you. It's going to pass before you, you're going to have to follow it. Let's drop down verse 13 and it shall come to pass as soon as the soles of the feet of the priests that bear the ark of the Lord of all the earth shall rest in the waters of Jordan that the waters of Jordan shall be cut off from the waters that come down from above and they shall stand upon the waters going to stand upon any change in the past when the people removed from their tents to Passover Jordan and the priests bearing the ark of the company before the people that bear the ark were coming to Jordan to feed the priest that bear the ark were dipped in the brim of the water for Jordan overflow with all of his banks all the time of harvest that the waters which came down from above stood and rose up upon each very far from the city. There was a city named Adam okay that is beside the Sheraton and those that came down toward the sea of the plain. Even the salt sea failed and were cut off, and the people passed over right against Jericho and the priests that bear the ark of the covenant of the Lord stood firm on July ground in the midst of Jordan and all the Israelites passed over on dry ground, until all the people were passed, clean over Jordan so I want you to see that this is their Red Sea experience because every generation is not know the miracle working power of God for themselves, he said as soon as the soles of the feet of the priest that there are rest in the bottom of the Jordan River. The waters will be cut off, not before. When now, this generation as I said had not seen the parting of the Red Sea.

They had not experienced God's awesome power. Now I want to tell you the children of Israel to go back and read it when they walked over and crossed the Red Sea, walked over on what drive around but on that ground until after God had caused the waters to roll back.

You understand, Moses went down there and held out his rod and when he did the water separated huge on amount of water here in the water and had a pathway to go through and they walked over, but nobody but no one stepped there there until the waters had operated but not here.

Not here. God said that the priest in the now. The ark of the company was a box and it had big rings on the end with poles that went through either side so that the priesthood lifted up on the poles and heaving up on their shoulders and carry it like this because they were not to touch the ark itself. They were not to touch the box itself.

Amen.

And the priests were holy and sanctify. They had both of their own protocol of sanctification, which we won't even go to but be assured that not any real person did it have to be the priest of the Levites that had the necessary preparation and sanctification. Now here they are carrying this box on their shoulders and walking down to the brim of the Jordan and all all the priest him not to get all the way all of them were standing now in the Jordan. Now you may be thinking to yourself well, when you know the Jordan River's is not the Red Sea is something. It was springtime.

Amen. It was springtime and we already read here were it says that it overflows and harvest time. Cannot tell you what that means in actual facts.

The Jordan River during the spring was a torrent of water. The Jordan River begins way up north in the most northern part of Israel even up to Mount Herman and it flows down okay. We know gravity pulls you. What down it flows down from the north, about 200 miles and goes all the way to the Dead Sea. How many know what that means that Dead Sea is the lowest point on the face of the earth. Something like 1300 Psalm 80 or something like that miles below sea level below sea level. That's how far down the Dead Sea goes. So the Jordan River is flowing from up north all the way down. Gravity is pulling it down to the Dead Sea, but now it springtime and all the snow was upon the mountains and all ring ranges are now incorporated in the Jordan River and when that happens every single day. 6 million times I don't even know what that means 6 million times. That means 6 million×2000 6 million tons of water empty from the Jordan River into the Dead Sea. The lowest place on earth. The water drops 600 vertical feet on its way down to the Dead Sea. Now normally the Jordan River. In some places is only 5200 feet high.

Now that's not very wide how my sister Betty okay from the back wall. This wall is 75 feet so let's say that that's about as wide as the river would be that they would have to cross but not so during the spring season. During that time. The Jordan is still overflowing its banks that it can be a mile wide. A mile wide. Now I don't know how far that is maybe from here down the Washington Boulevard further than that amount that's how much it increase during the during the spring. Not only is it increasing now when I talk about this, but come on folks, the velocity of the water of the current is not some nice little tiny little soft. You know pleasant River know they were resting gossiping torrent of rain and water we see on the new people that are getting all this land and on the southerly state they are having delusions because they are getting into days what they were getting a home on as far as Ringo and the Brown and the rivers are full and when these past months, they come up so fast that people any time any warning, and we see him hanging up in freeze help rescue them in the cases are the ones that are in their cars in the park to come somewhere in and they try to get out in the river just take some they can't and are going. This is the type of thing that was happening here. I don't want you to think some nice little river that's up to your waist. Anybody could wait over if they don't mind getting your feet wet. This was a fight when you will you will. Amen. I hope you are encouraged by today's motivating message, follow the ark.

Joshua was a fearless fighter and leader in the troops of Israel serving faithfully under Moses. But when Moses died the mantle of leadership fell upon him. Now Moses had led them through the Red Sea. What a spectacular event, eternally etched in the minds of the Israelites, but now it was time to leave the 40 year trek in the wilderness and enter into the promised land. But first they must cross the Jordan River. By comparison, the Jordan River was nothing like the Red Sea.

But while God miraculously divided the Red Sea and they crossed over on dry ground. He instructed Joshua to send them through the waters of the Jordan.

And it springtime. It was a raging torrent as the melted snow from the northern mountains overflowed its banks you see every generation must have its own Red Sea experience and these April Israelites were born in the wilderness and had not experienced the Red Sea, but God had a different plan. He told Joshua to send the priests bearing the ark of the covenant on their shoulders into the raging waters, and he told the people follow the ark follow the presence of God. They had to step out in faith.

God said as soon as the soles of your feet rest in the waters. The Jordan will rollback so if you're facing the Jordan River experience in your life.
