Special Counsel Jack Smith levied a superseding indictment against former President Donald Trump that centers on Trump's supposed removal of surveillance footage from his Mar-a-Lago home concerning the classified documents scandal. Trump's property manager allegedly deleted the security footage and informed another co-worker that "the boss" wanted the server wiped clean. Trump has been outspoken that this indictment is "election interference at the highest level" as he remains the frontrunner for the GOP nomination for the 2024 presidential election.
