We're witnessing a renewed and fervent call by the Left to expand the Supreme Court. Congressman Hank Johnson (GA) originally introduced H.R. 2584 which aims to add four more Justices to the Supreme Court bench. Rep. Johnson has called the court "ultra-right-wing Republican" and stated that at the Supreme Court, "basic freedoms are under assault." The bill has 58 entirely partisan co-sponsors. Jay, Logan, and the rest of the Sekulow team discuss H.R. 2584, what to expect as the Left attempts to move it through Congress, and what you can do to stop it. This and more today on Sekulow.

Jay Sekulow breaking news Democrats in the house pushing the bill to expand the Supreme Court keeping you informed and now this is to be proactive, much the other side would not hesitate want to hear from you Sharon, post, call one 800 68 tell you what I learned over again supporting movement organizations.

Those on the ground that no state standard with members of other believe and what were trying to do, which is expanded for now, your host Jordan secular vote of the secular we are to your calls. That will excite for 31 to 164 3110 joined later on the show by my part, I am Logan Sekulow you know you don't.

That was just delivered you if you still back so limited what's going on so as we expected decision comes out in the Dobbs case so is there any hesitation in time between when the Democrats get that decision, and when they say we got a pack the court yeah about three days so Hank Johnson, Democrat from Georgia as well as Jerry Nadler, Democrat from New York have proposed a bill entitled the Judiciary act of 2021. What's interesting about this bill. We got them up on the screen for those of you watching what's interesting about to me.

Anyways, is that they are now proposing and not just be 15 justices. Now they're saying I think they say any where they sensed six or three milk for yet.

I came up with four which would put us at the court 13 so still keep me in on numbers.

I have a number but realize folks. If another of Republican menstruation did this a conservative ministration of this the screaming would be from the rooftops packing the court by the way last time quarterbacking was tried, of Franklin Delano Roosevelt that did not work out for him so well that fail but but look there to try to do it Logan that's crystal clear.

Yeah, absolutely. It's unbelievably when you really think about it is benign. Justices 18 69,007 I was writing my own and is a couple cases go don't go your way right you decide to change fundamentally the way this is rule just so course, the President gets to pick these four justices is present which is the whole point of a lifetime appointment is so politics doesn't necessarily impact this it in a loop in a long-term way but but but of course it does. But this is a reaction to a couple Supreme Court decisions going the wrong way. So that's what that's what they're trying to do here absolutely in a course. They now say it's because the stops decision and the radical right wing and justices that did did bad decision, but they did a great decision. The problem is a doubt disagree with the justices they disagree with the Constitution is the problem and are trying to get rid of the justices that are trying to actually follow the Constitution it the way you get rid of them as you pack more of your team on there and now the teams are not. It's no longer concerned. This is why your preferred branch of government was also interesting looking as though these coming to you from the same group that leaked a Supreme Court opinion yeah absolutely gob's opinion before was out. There's a lot of people who are asking one big question which is what it can be done what Candace was out about that how the director of government affairs in the moment. I think in the Senate is where the stop will come in place very concerned what will happen in the House of Representatives will take calls and all this by the way, 1-800-684-3110 and were to fight this on Capitol Hill, but you just need to understand that this is a moment in time where ICC is what you said, I think you're right. It's totally reaction the case is going against what they want absolutely itself political. It's come in rightly political which is exactly what the Supreme Court should not make so your support of the ACLJ could not be more critical than it is right now. Why, because when the matching chalice campaign were actually ruled behind lesser Bristol are, but we are closing the gap any amount you donate will be donor that's in a match that gift. So if you donate $10. Roosevelt cemented $10 $50 think we effectively get 100.

I encourage you to make that donation or match until you do that as well. If you and your voice heard is a great time to call in all our phone lines are open right now. 1-800-684-3110 that's 1-800-684-3110 replanting calls on the court packing issue as well as plenty of other topics in this at 1-800-684-3110 sports work ACLJCL J.org on the website make a donation effectively. There is another donor waiting there to match your donation to talking about the new move to pack the Supreme Court. It was a flashback to present Joe Biden for his present center is back in 1983 when this came up as clearly as we said, just like road just like any of these topics. Nothing is new nothing is new in Washington DC. It's all cyclical.

It's all in in in unpick loop. So what Joe Biden meant to say 1983 just about 40 years ago and Pres. Ronald Reagan was the Presidents' Day tankless.

Pres. Roosevelt clearly had the right to send to the United States Senate United States Congress a proposal to pack the court was totally within his right to know that he violated no law. He was legalistic lay absolutely correct, but it was a bonehead idea it was that terrible, terrible mistake to make and it put in question for an entire decade the independence of the most significant body, including the Congress, in my view, the most significant body in this country. The Supreme Court of United States of America. So Job called his lycée said court packing is a bad idea. When using the term court packing me think about that for a moment to quarterbacking me. The court enough so that it basically overrides the term of course it is. It's a pejorative term glycogenic then Bennett is with us and not them. Let me ask you this. So we got this legislation, HR 2584 at four justices we have Sen. Ed Markey talking about the United States Senate were to sustain in the house. Well, okay, I'm concerned that there's momentum building behind this. This legislation was introduced back in April and I really think it was introduced as a placeholder for this moment.

They were in now. Now that the Dobbs decision has come out no there there are members of the House of Representatives on the Democrat side that say they have concerns about this project. We we've seen this story before. If you were to go on the floor of the House of Representatives. I have to think it would pass and then of course it would move to the United States Senate and at this moment you're correct. I don't think it would pass United States Senate. At this moment you got people like Sen. Mark Kelly Sen. Jon tester saying that they are opposed to it. Interestingly enough, J. Even though he's not a member of the United States Senate. I think you it illustrates one of the problems that the Democratic Party has right now even Gov. Newsom says that he's not in favor of this as recently as last year, but JI think about the clip that Logan just played. From then Sen. Biden in 1983.

Of course he was correct then and the White House Press Secretary reiterated that position last week but J think about another issue that Sen. Biden was good on for 40 years. The Hyde amendment. He has recently flip-flopped on that and it followed the same exact track where the base of his party moved ahead of him and then that provided cover for him to move.

So what you can't can't take this for granted. By the way, the make of the Senate changes in November as well. How do you feel folks about the President of the United States. If you were to get the bill signing it and to change the Supreme Court outcomes. He simply adds more justices you could add or maybe men and then another concert at present when maybe then the next time around.

They decide they want at that we 50 or like an European Court of human rights, for they got or the ICC were the full chamber can be in a 14 2030. I mean it's just it's such an obvious political move cc because what they've done is done this in response to a decision that they not only don't like they subverted the entire Supreme Court process as was coming out even before it was coming out right. Ed stairs now adapt. This is completely political, I mean that they're not even hiding that fact alike are Logan said packing the court they want to pack it with justices that go along with their political ideology. We need to pack it with people and we didn't have it right now with people who care about the Constitution and doing looking at every case through the eyes of the Constitution which this court did in Dobbs and there is no there is in fact no constitutional right to abortion, but the left. Obviously once they are to be one created and they're willing to put the justice on the court that are willing to do that.

As such, it is obvious political movement. I got concern than when I heard Ed Markey the senator from Massachusetts say he doesn't like it either, and he would basically cosponsor this in the Senate yeah right to be concerned specifically about Sen. Markey because he also said that we need to repeal the filibuster so that we can expand the Supreme Court look you talk about this on this broadcast many times before. This effort is not unconstitutional.

J.

The Congress can change the number on the court.

Now it would vary between five and 10 early in the 18th or the 19th century since 1869 it's been at nine but when you have someone like Sen. Markey say he's not only willing to add justices if you don't like a decision, just add more numbers and to get the requisite number but he's also willing to change the rules in the President of the Senate to do it J that's how you get something like this done out today if that boat takes place. I don't think a senator like Joe mansion goes for it. But what if they had one or two senators come November J. This could absolutely be accomplished by doing exactly what Sen. Markey is proposing circumventing the filibuster and enacting it VP Harris a mantle of the filibuster stand in the way. Take a listen and the President has been clearly will not let the filibuster stand in our way of our most essential rights and freedoms so that this goes back to this idea of removing filibuster on legislation here would be an injustice. As the court looked at the Constitution does not say nine because she said judges of the Supreme Court on MacCallum justices in the Constitution, but we couldn't. That's what we call missed is is justices but took the President got the legislation to do it yes is no constitutional challenge to that. But even Ruth Bader Ginsburg and that we have that bite said nine was the right number but what is so painfully obvious here is that they are willing to politicize the court because they view the abortion decision as a political decision rather than cc a constitutional one right and that the pro-abortion side loves to span that abortion is the norm across the world and this court got it right that there is no constitutional right to abortion. But guess what, there's no international right to abortion either, and the majority of countries across the world have very strict restrictions on abortion, but the pro-abortion group does not want you to know that you want you to think the norm yet and interesting. Ruth Bader Ginsburg, one of the most liberal members of the screen court in the United States. When asked is nine the right number. Take a listen mentioned before court appearing body signal. If anything, would make the clutter. Plan to send it would be that one sign saying when Larry and Pat currently selling tonight send them candy selling more people lately lent them to sell and not all in favor absolution should just give her was actually correct nine has served the country well listen their decisions where I wish we had more conservative justices on the report but that's not how the political process really designed to work. If you start adding just based on political decisions you currently intro the court until Congress in the menu to Presidents only do a few other things took maybe that way we redesign everything but if that's the case, then we can to start would just pack of equipment was going to call 800-684-3110 Michelle North Carolina on their Michelle will will will morning that's exactly and the problem so if the next person comes in and they put say the Democrats add for.

So they got a majority now. So the next person comes in computer-controlled house in the semi's as a team. Let's do this we need more justices. So let's add three more that'll give us a little bit of a majority yet the answer is it wouldn't stop jamming. I think eventually this would be a day one activity for a new President he'd had seats to the Supreme Court. He nominates justices. Any work to get them confirmed and you know I expect this view will probably change day, but that's essentially what Gov. Newsom said when he was asked about it I just last week he said isn't a opposed to it because then his kids would have to live with the Supreme Court that's larger than Congress. And it's not just about the number. I mean, what is the one thing the Supreme Court needs to uphold his did its duty to the Constitution. It needs the validity and end the confidence of the American people. I can't think of anything that would undermine it more than both parties saying we don't like this decision were just going to add justices so I really do think this ado is a door that if it were opened JI don't think it would be closed and you would just see a constant expansion of the court as the political cycles waded through well I think we have to be realistic. Working have to be on this very aggressively because you never know how the listen to members close, but it's a long way away and you're looking to try to move something Logan in between which would totally politicize a core return. According to a legislative body unfortunately disallowed for the country that doesn't mind that they know about. Don't mind the fact that things will get completely underwritten just to assert on values, not understanding the damage it can make course for them later all in and that's that been the hardest part with dealing with people when it comes to these kind of issues is not a fundamental misunderstanding of how the Supreme Court works is that it's never an issue that comes up very rarely in campaigns. The record is largely overlooked until moments like this happen where it is been divisive and divides the country and then all of a sudden it's only a trigger to rewrite everything will start the conversation before you really want to have this note is used as a political tool. If you decide you want to go from 9 to 13 or whatever would be, don't do it right after a major decision have to make it actually look like you care nothing. You're just trying to get your political life… A.

This will coming up organ about the major case of the ACLJ figure 1 will become followers joining us in uniform this that don't forget filter matching challenge campaign. We are more than halfway through a little bit behind last year's we could use your help if you're able. The way it works is this. If you date donate $20 we get some of that matches that so that 20 becomes 40. We encourage you aclj.ward@aclj.org whatever amount you're able to give we get a matching grant for that's it ACLJ.org back with more and just go over some ACLJ cases.

So if you want to enter social media applications. We encourage you to share this with your friends Christie from Robinson DC is on and she is got a case that we've actually got resolved.

Christie, I want to go through the facts.

First, because this is this kind of case happens all the time. It doesn't get a lot of getting media attention, but we do these routinely what happened in this particular case in Arizona right you will have a small white cross yard 3.5 feet tall and there were several other statutes and declaration in the neighborhood that were even minded and extract that he was told the claimant handcrafted not generally accepted decoration to challenge the boys and was told that the cross is too tall to be a regular decoration also told that it could be a display for holiday Christmas, Easter, need to find decoration by subjective approvals on a case-by-case basis here because I understand okay sounds really like really, basically, why would this be a problem right you got a 3 foot cross. Are you not talking about loading and talk about the good size list is that such a garden that she'll be a bigger bulldog in my front yard. Okay, so if you talk a 3 1/2 feet their little are you having a quick constitutional crisis. At this homeowners association over 3 1/2 foot small white cross. So what did we do Christie wrote a letter ballot out right. Several black slope and target the HOA cannot discriminate under the HLA decorations but not religious here. There were others catching the Angels they were the giant pickle display. There were large rocks with other work on that yet. Everything has small cry because it was a cross that was recently censored letter for the client and then what happened several mind to go back and forth in board meetings, where he kept going on making his argument. He was really shy. You know for himself because that's what he wanted to finally just on Friday that he can have very good Christie would appreciate an update. So here's what happened. So sometimes it's good looking people in the community don't want the lawyers descending one of the lawyers do we write a information letter basically had many legal brief on what the law actually is is up there on the screen and we get a result.

Sometimes we have to go to federal court. Sometimes we have to go to Courts of Appeals and in this particular case we had to go to them, right now we been in the Sixth Circuit and the 11th circuit so Abby Sutherland, senior counsel for the ACLJ you had a series of cases been very busy. Let's talk about the Ocala case for support case weekly facts on that one and the status Amanda were in the sole court of appeals and I'm glad they were before the 11th circuit Court of Appeals sweep was a community crisis right and then what happened at the crime spree officials called for prayer in the community citizens organized a prayer vigil on everyone attending the city was then saved by grace and atheist in a lower court actually held officials cannot call for prayer and that chaplains cannot lead citizens in prayer. What you think about that for a moment decision crisis. The culprit mean you had that horrible situation involving course people are praying and they decriminalized, so to speak, and be civil but get it stopped now at the US Court of Appeals for the 11th circuit argued the case were waiting for a decision.

If you're pretty optimistic, especially in light of the Supreme Court decisions that have come down the summer find holding that a task is really one of tradition and history. Do you think the atheist group would take it to the Supreme Court if they lose. I think they will think they might think this one could be destined for the spring were living up to a polite matter.

We talked about yes go ahead and crazy as it feels like such a waste of time and the way the culture is right now the way the world is right now you be protesting a prayer vigil to go to is it just the time spent in the money spent to do this.

I think most rational human beings.

At this point in the current state of her country and of the planet you would say how is this where to time. We have to be there and you have to stand up against it. Take the Supreme Court which is filed literally in your pack, the court will we just had a good decision for Kennedy.

I met Shirley would try to undo that I want little pro-life situation and cover it yesterday, but this is important and what one other case we crisis pregnancy center focus on me. I was out of town and it is in the local news all over the country. The attack these crisis pregnancy centers are under and Chris write the FBI director who you know I'm not been a real fan of that sound from him okay when on the sound. He said he said these crisis pregnancy centers are clearly subject to an attack and they always are when when you have a win for life and the left the pro-abortionist go crazy.

The people that are at the front of their attack are always the crisis pregnancy centers the pregnancy resource centers because they're the ones that are effective in saving lives right so back to the Court of Appeals here so the last case was handled. HOA level. The cases he sees talk about is a national campaign that were involved in get these matters handled for these crisis pregnancy centers and report on those issues by wearing the brace bring centers in a half-dozen times successfully now is interesting you got this vision warriors case talk about that one represents numerous nonprofit and estrangement that find themselves, and subject to ending discrimination and fortunately there are several federal laws that protect them from that is ending discrimination sleep to cases right now one before the six arc circuit Court of Appeals and one before the 11th circuit Court of Appeals right now with regards to zoning discrimination in egregious acts and vision wires on our I guess they seek zoning approval from the county.

They neatly setting officials.

They are very clear about what vision and purpose. As for the property. They are granted zoning approval and then neighbors began to complain because the neighbors found out that this ministry provides help to vulnerable community are more vulnerable members of the community and then zoning officials respond and read that there zoning approval so we got the religious land use protection act wears a case right now, so everybody stays the nature and scope of the Sherwood court. There 11th circuit Court of Appeals. We will finalize briefing SMR and then likely oral arguments will be in the forecastle. We have taken you from literally a homeowners association meeting to two cases at the 11th circuit court of appeals, both of which could end up in the Supreme Court and see she was talking about crisis pregnancy centers bring in a crisis.

We offer our resources nationally to help them by the one with these crisis pregnancy centers. I was upstairs in our office here and was signing some recently filed and cases I write donors notes from time to time and we had to stack of briefs that we filed on these crisis pregnancy center cases in the last was about two years ago which we want at the Supreme Court, but they keep coming New York. There was a bombing at a clinic in Buffalo and what are they do and they try to pass a law limiting crisis pregnancy centers. Elizabeth wants to shut them down so we got about government affairs office on our lawyers are handling it. But at the courts. This is serious. Your support of the ACLJ allows us to continue despite George Lopez will let you know what you can do right here for this matching challenge campaign.

We really need your support. If you're able. If you are not able. I totally understand. Think every family take care of your needs.

If you have the resources supporting the work of the ACLJ cannot be a better time of July. Every donation is likely doubled by another donor waiting to make that matching donation seen that a lot talk about every few months really special matching months.

This one right now school ACLJ.org make a donation effectively doubled back for second get on your local station finds broadcasting live a life in the social media platforms ACLJ.org American Center for Law and issues at home and abroad purchase the ACLJ challenge for every dollar you donate $10 and €20 gift becomes 100 protecting the constitutional and religious freedoms you forgive today online keeping you informed and now is a broadcast with that interesting first show will program we talked about this move by the Democrats, both the House version is by · Congressman Jerry Nadler and Hank Johnson of Georgia during Nadler of New York, trying to add four justices of the Supreme Court, the Constitution doesn't specify the number of justices so the state set by the Congress. So that's what we call court packing up the ark. Friday wasn't successful just to get it through the legislature with this ministration may try and use of the guise of this, of course, the decision in Dobbs now at the same time in the Senate they got a more difficult task. Although center Ed Markey from Massachusetts said this is really important and he would like to see move forward and the vice President has said and I will play this again when talking about the filibuster on this issue. Take a listen and the President has been clearly will not let the filibuster stand in our way of our most essential rights and freedoms so there you have it. I mean X exabytes cleared Logan as you can get what they will do because you're so obsessed with the Dobbs decision, yet it is become one of those situations where the rules don't matter any precedent doesn't matter. Throwing out everything to try to reverse this look. I think this is a big concern when you hear things like codifying Rowan what that community of midterm elections coming up and utilizing that go beyond that you to packing the court meeting to add additional Supreme Court justices, even Joe Biden said a number of years ago was a boneheaded idea, but now it's not suddenly it's not a bad idea.

They referred that over and over you seen Joe Biden go with a more progressive front than he ever was when he was the only was running himself.

He was being a sinner before he was been controlled by everyone around him. And now you have these issues with Supreme Court essentially just want to add an additional group of Supreme Court justices, which of course will be picked by you to by the voters will be picked by the electorate.

No more news from court justice picked by one President. What is for do well for undermined everything gives you 1313 if you had the poor to the three you have, that's amazingly 77 is more than six bus to the majority of the Supreme Court goes from conservative Supreme Court to a liberal's report, and I guess the next person comes into their consumer leasable will add three more titles will get a majority back and you turned in 500 justices intern in the House of Representatives turns the Supreme Court into a legislature and then Supreme Court because Parliament and without but not elected unelectable right separation of powers, and over its understanding of the role of the judiciary, missing the broadcast coming up were to be joined by Mike Pompeo. We talked as you know, the ACLJ with an office in Jerusalem that offices active we been to the international criminal Court in the Hague more than once on Israel's interest we handle a lot of issues globally boycott the best in sanctioned issues. You just had the trip by Pres. Biden to the Middle East, which really Natalie did not produce anything because I read this headline will and I know we were to say the point that I read this at length.

This headline missing from a former Palestinian cabinet member Hassan asked for.

He said Biden is so weakness the Palestinian Authority's member. Biden is so weak he cannot even come up with a plan for us to reject. He then said even Biden's predecessors employed a more just political language with regard to political solutions from presented a deal which we rejected.

But at least he presented one. Biden came empty-handed. He did not even offer a solution for us to reject.

Imagine that he did not bring us an offer that we could read and reject because this.he does not consider you to be a force to be reckoned with interesting dynamic that frankly talk to Mike Pompeo about this. He knows a lot about this. He was instrumentally Abraham courts. The course was a subliminal office in Jerusalem. The rebroadcasts of Jerusalem regularly of singleness broadcast folks whether it said local school district, Supreme Court, United States, or office in Jerusalem. American Center for Law and Justice.

Is there a record telling us they live from her since that's what we're doing here at the ACLJ in excitement as you said Mike Pompeo will be joining us to make sure you stay tuned.

I will be taking some phone calls later in the show lined up right now. One 800-6831 1020 now it's time to do at 1-800-684-3110 four the work of theaclj@aclj.org again Mike Pompeo joining us next just a moment here on look on the air live. We are to get some phone calls.

There are couplings open at one 800 684 31 tabulation comment the court packing became in for Corey Hon. He said they can't make up their mind. We call this court illegitimate now. They also want to talk. Will there be review is will will make it legitimate by packing it, which is an illegitimate way to have the court change in our view now having said that, there is nothing in the Constitution that prohibits us and we gotta keep understanding that's where you have to be able to fight both on the judicial front and on the legislative front. These are not mutually exclusive.

Just precedent are not necessarily right all along was five, so now it's midnight for a long time and you're talking nonsense you know hundred 4050 years.

It serves a control generation see you but but I think it's fair to understand that this is all in reaction to a Supreme Court decision that came out in favor of life and that was enough for them to say hey were into somebody leaked the opinion and then I had to intimidate the justices that you don't hear a lot about the protests in my melter going on it like that and I think they probably petered out now for the summer is hot in Washington DC in the decisions outage and change how the justices voted, but it just shows you the nature of the hostility is so high I want talk about when my Pompeo joins us what this whole little Middle East trip at the present, just to because we saw progress in in the Middle East in the last two years of the Trump administration very significant way and that was the Abraham courts. It was a huge moment for our country and was huge because you started having allies come together. The Gulf states majority Muslim countries, Jordan, Egypt already signed some peace accords with this was that whole new level trade Saudi Arabia allowing Israeli aircraft flights in between Israel and Rihanna. I mean, these are big moments and it was interesting meet to me is that they by demonstration didn't really want to build on that.

It seemed like but then when they got over there, they started saying we we may want to build on it will course want to build on it.

It reshaped the Middle East and they acted and listen, you don't understand the Middle East unless your there. We been there a lot and we have an office in Jerusalem.

You've seen the broadcast from just loading you mentioned that Rick would know was there yesterday. Yeah he was there during your CPAP Jerusalem it's happening right now he is over there. He was calling us from from his hotel there in Jerusalem and getting work done as well. Jabal Bonner Senior Counsel database placing the amount set up some some interesting stories or regular cover in coming days that are coming out of that office with the really wild stuff. So in Rick will be back on the other broadcast on Thursday sure to discuss the remainder of the strip without yes I mean this is all happening simultaneously so again to understand the Middle East you have to you have to admit that we should take a group that reminisces this is the way we used to do it. We haven't done that selfishly since Copen but hopefully when they will be able to do it again. We are getting a lot of calls coming in on the court packing issue. People are very very concerned about it yet. I think our comments are coming in as well. A lot of people are just concerned as it does seem like it seems achieving things like that the Democrats like 5 Will Get Our Way. You saw that reaction to when Roe was overturned because you had even the celebrities right. Why do we even campaign for you Joe Biden you let Rogan overturned when you go you fundamentally don't understand how the court works in here.

Maybe that's your problem. I leave my company was now joining us are great so Mike I wanted to get you thinking me with this. I want to get your take on the Presidents trip to the Middle East. You done a secretary stay tremendous amount of work bankruptcy. I direct you were involved in the lease to an and member of Congress, but his secretary said we had the this great success of the Abraham accords the Palestinian Authority. It's interesting the headlines coming on at this time.

Former President is so weak he cannot even come up with a plan for us reject that was from the Palestinian Authority's leadership what your assessment of the trip. First of all, it was after the trip to the Middle East and that I can remember in every dimension made of immediate covert really think that Bob you have that much space he made when he used the wrong work to get them peridot. What the media focus about because there was nothing that came from it. That was good for the United States to mark all or to reach it that the Saudis don't trust in the Iraqis don't trust the Israelis have no cop with the bike they all walked Afghanistan to your point even without that authority basically that we didn't get anything there to pay people to commit care act in Israel. It was it was calamitous in terms of prosperity and security in the region and that's bad for the American people. Check ACLJ.org. It says present vine continues to disrespect our vital allies on his Middle East trip so what was your assessment on that got our allies and the disrespect explain what you're talking about the people on this planet. So we built with our friends. Israeli relationship. It was deep and strong, and we hope lactic.

We had been told that we were going to help secure them from the threat that the Middle East comes from the Islamic Republic of Iran and that regime and that enabled us to build out relationships between not only United States in the air all states but between Israel and the states as well codified in the Abraham accords you disrespect them by saying that we are still going to try and do a diplomatic solution would be waiting to get rejected the decade, and who continue to have as their primary mission. The destruction of the nation of Israel so it's it's disrespectful to our ally that they were going to negotiate with Uranian cloth thing that will get to make that body a pariah patient and I think we saw that on full display last week. His listeners wonder what can be done to be done in these situations to stop Iran from building and using his left said Mike that they had the patient may have enough of you know they could do it but they said they were there they could do a nuclear weapon and written material to their claim when we knew there were quote that made a lot of progress. Lastly, look at the heart problem.

The case at birthday gift to do it, starve them of the resources that they need.

What is that that the ability to create the ability create a well paced scientific to purchase the things that they need and we sanctioned them in ways that really put pressure on the regime and slowed down their capability to build up these exact nuclear program by the second thing you have to do you have to be prepared to engage in activities that create risk for them. We get that did what I was the director working alongside a Middle Eastern intelligence agency, and then you have to be prepared to make clear that unacceptable creature actually have a weapon or a weapons program and all that. That portends, I was happy only happy note I struck was the President Biden that that you would not remove the military option from the table that part of that it anybody believe that they can anybody think that it actually credible. The present by the court.

Israel and Arab nations, ensuring that Iran never got a nuclear weapon they knew for our four years.

They knew that we would that confident that trust is absolutely gone today is really the same time as Great Britain when talking about Russia in those days, but it was a lot of Middle East discussions going on that had the whole Eastern question was a big big issue when he said you know what these countries understand power and force. If you don't have power and force you're not going to have an impact. Now we got the Palestinian Authority as you mentioned, rewarding families of terrorists, now President Biden is talking about releasing cash assets back to the Palestinian Authority that doesn't start them out. It's almost rewarding them Mike for bad behavior. Likely the opposite of power report.

It. ^ Out there that going to bed without authority Dr. Terrace way you been around and forget that that is simply not in the cards. And so it takes power to force those followed leadership, not without risk. But if you are determined and resolved you that only The outcomes that you're looking for, but you will build friends and partners and allies in the region that will support the things that you know matter to the American people you can you can begin to reduce the risk that we may have to send their kids over there again someday to fight much better. Historically fly region by Mr. Nesbitt precisely backwards there rewarding Uranian rewarding the Palestinian Authority and even refused to tell Israel. Israel is that the right to defend himself with Hamas fired rockets into Israel of both the kind of mistake that the absence of power.

The apps report and the negative implications of that are our really really important. Dr. states. We appreciate your insight is always talking coming days about China that that is a a a growing threat domestically and will get into that my things remain with us. As always we appreciate it. My Pompeo for secretary state and senior counselor global affairs at the American Center for Law and Justice, which lets me explain to everyone gives us a chance.

We appreciate any donations you can make an ACLJ.org middle environment middle of our matching challenge right now, which again means any donation made his doubled by another donor who is waiting to unlock their donation of ACLJ secular startup and taken some phone calls were removed to the topic but loved him a call about court packing situations was take the calls go first Richard in Arizona earlier Richard, I thank you for taking my call. I just wanted to date that I felt like our congressman and the wrap should be required to pay classes on the Constitution because it seems to me, many have lost their way.

When it comes to how they define what the Constitution stands: there is divergent views on and in that you know you had they been the Justice William model which was this textual's originalists what the Constitution mean one word say they had Justice Breyer who believe the Constitution is a living document but on the court packing issue. We need to be clear, there is nothing in the Constitution, saying the number so Congress could change the number and if you got to pass the House and Senate got to present one assignment they could sign. Let's take one more calm this topic Stephen calling in Kentucky line to your near a single egg on their involved in court was interesting. Could they lower the number that's one question someone asked. Could they lowered the number and the truth is, it's a lifetime appointment so once on.

I don't think it would be unconstitutional to remove them subject to no legitimate removal from basement so the realities they can set the number.

I don't think you can subtract from the sitting justices.

I want to turn our attention to a very troubling meeting that took place in all places Iran attended by Vladimir Putin and the President of Turkey one W. Smith are military military animals is with us here was what is it spells what the meeting first thing you want anytime there is a geopolitical vacuum and a good foursome backed away another force will fill-in over their back awareness of the context.

The background of this meeting in Iran today is that there's a perception that the United States was backing away from the Middle East, retreating, causing the Palestinians and backing away from our Arab neighbors in the Gulf states who are now allied with the usual as well give some examples of that early on in the administration President Biden suspended arms sales to Saudi Arabia.

They were defensive weapons. They also during the same time he took the Hutu rebels in Yemen off the terror list and they're still off that list even though this group has bombed civilian targets in the UAE and in Saudi Arabia last week, Pres. Biden announced that in spite of the provisions of the Taylor force act he was going to give the Palestinian Authority $350 million. So we have this kind of changing geopolitical dynamics going on.

Other forces will step in Russia and Iran, China.

They want to be an influencer in the region and so what you have today is one in prudent and Uranian is a NATO ally West dissolute shark turkey, supposedly a NATO ally yes and that's what makes it so strange and troubling order. One is on very friendly terms with prudent for a recall Russia and Turkey were nods yes, he bought the AS/400 missile system right from Russia, over the objections of all other 20 numbers of native to this day.

One has yet to sanction Russia over his invasion of Ukraine whenever the war first started the invasion of Ukraine, Turkey, under international treaty actually controls access to the Black Sea. They can stop any combat ships from going through there if they want to they did not start Russia sending combated naval ships toward Ukraine so that meant Lemaster. This is the symbolic significance of the meeting in Iran and who do they meet with in Iran. They met with, nay, the supreme leader and they also are Russia signed a $40 billion energy agreement with the Iranians as well. I think Juan and Vladimir Putin share this in common, relatively speaking, smaller economies, less influential nation nations, but they both have big egos and so there meeting together with a sworn enemy of Israel in the United States, and it is not a good omen.

It truly is an urgent want as an Islamist, of course, has a great relationship with Iran.

Even though he is supposedly a NATO ally so that in the course we wrote about this kind of axis of evil developing. This week we going we call the unholy alliance involved Syria rush Iran a turkey. We bought a book on turkey coal burning bridges because we knew they were forced to bridge to Europe. That is not the case when and under one thing people understand Turkey was more of a secular country enemy. Now they've converted historic Christian churches into mosques. They have the Islamization of Turkey really was and is unprecedented unprecedented. The religious climate in Turkey is not that much unlike the religious climate in Iran, and of course now in this meeting this going on a rant has agreed to sell drones to Russia which they would use in Ukraine and it there.

There are gathering together in making agreements even with Erno Mann who is a NATO ally.

I think anytime they perceive weakness or hesitancy on the part of the West, especially the United States. They will try to step in and take advantage of that and do things that that are to their advantage into the disadvantage of the United States, it is unprecedented and it should be unthinkable that a NATO ally with all this going on in the world. Ukraine Aranda on the verge of getting a nuclear weapon that one of her allies would fly to turn around and sit down and meet with Vladimir Putin and, nay, the supreme leader. It is a very troubling symbol of what's going on that part of the world loose another example though of the breath of the work of the Americans have fallen just that's why we're doing work all over the world and the government you hear American central line just as you may not realize our international impact of her having an international impact her having all over the world. We just had my Pompeii on which your sense of the trip. He came back virtually was no accomplishments. He did not accomplish anything. Maybe, just maybe because it is meeting in Saudi Arabia and Israel. Maybe he's trying to reassure her allies there that were not disengaging you say maybe maybe what you say maybe because there was nothing definitive that he read that he got that he brought back to America. He spent a lot of jet fuel a lot of money and spent four days in the Middle East and came back with not a lot to to brag about exactly. Go West with the Carla Smith coursing a military analyst for Merkel cell phones are supposed to be close as broadcasts of your getting a email today from us on the life cases and we got a whole plan we've instituted nationally, helping states, lawmakers on the post Roe versus Wade approach to defend life your support.
