Sankyo capital Hill is on lockdown as police investigating active involvement in human form. Now this is what I hear from you Sharon post, call 1-800-684-3117 other issues. Well it will take your phone calls on it 100 684 31 today doing the right capital Hill Washington DC with a bit. It is our office. The ACLJ office on Capitol Hill that we know the other bits of evacuations of congressional offices of the Supreme Court use a picture of the police activity outside of our office there showing this truck for pretty far away idea of the Library of Congress. Just what are they told people Capitol Hill who just remained in place, at least for us Jordan were inside the perimeter.

They're asking us to stay inside asking law enforcement to be allowed to move about freely. We seen quite a bit of law enforcement actually going past, including some pretty big vehicles. I assume to respond to that. Suspected vehicle that there suspected explosives in there. I guess I'm enduring this is one of the things that does happen in this area, but it's a bit of an active situation right now are at 60 to 90 minutes into it right now the perimeter that they've evacuated is fairly small and we are outside of that, Jordan, but at this moment. They are asking everyone in this area to stay inside to do throughout the show will keep you updated.

Obviously got people there that that the little fella guard harms way down the police there very good about your cover to the door if if if that evacuation order is issued, and it RT will be there but they will be Jordan throughout the show. We will keep you updated their best breaking news happy right now in Washington DC. I do want to go to Afghanistan you I would bid all the air since the fall of Kabul and we see this massive takeover so quickly by the Taliban of the entire country of Afghanistan and all the questions surrounding the moves by the United States. Specifically, the Biden administration, member of the of the other people try to put blame on Pres. Trump for drawing down the troop numbers but I he is not the one that initiated this this final withdrawal from Afghanistan. This was done by Pres. Biden and it was his team.

The blame is going everywhere left and right so it's hard to figure out exactly who is to blame Linda West Smith because West you serve your military you evaded these assess situations before where we rely heavily on the local population and ultimately guess the American people.

This should simply pursue the American people want this war to end. But when we say in I think that Americans who are not in the service. Sometimes think about that a different way.

We would wind we've ended other wars, they may still like to be active comments as we kept a sizable troop presence, so that what were seeing in Afghanistan does not occur exactly we Troops in Germany of the last 70 years in South Korea of last 60 some years ending the war doesn't mean you withdrawal everyone. The thing about the whole withdrawal fiasco and this what is right ethic is a chaotic fiasco is that when Pres. Trump set this in motion. His withdrawal was very, very, very much. Conditions based he let the Taliban know he put them on notice. We will withdrawal, but there are certain things you cannot do two of those things were to attack American forces and they have not.

In about 18 months, but also you cannot overthrow the government and you cannot take the capital city of Cook of Cove Kabul and they have done both of those things. So Pres. trumpet Artie told the Taliban if you cross these lines, you will have a huge price to pay.

Joe Biden comes in note speeds up the withdrawal with essentially no conditions as of the tell a man ran through the country will one provincial capital falling after another, and finally the capital city itself with absolute impunity. Nothing is happen to them how to take your comments on Facebook, YouTube, periscope, and of course by phone if you want to talk to us to be on the air.

1-800-684-3110. I would love to hear from those of you who served Afghanistan. I this doesn't take weight off of your service that you were there you made out job.

You are tasked with pate this the policymaking. That's where the blade blazed. Ultimately, the commander-in-chief tried love to hear your thoughts if your military family served Afghanistan, one 800 684 31 tended toward a study that's what 100 684-3110, just an update on what's happening. Washington DC stamped out to simply by tax that there's a Capitol Hill police press conference shortly on this vehicle so we will again update you on what's happening. Washington is what we get back on sink, the American Center for Law and Justice were engaged in critical issues at home and abroad.

Whether it's defending religious freedom. Protecting those who are persecuted for their faith. Uncovering corruption in the Washington bureaucracy and fighting to protect life in the courts and in Congress ACLJ would not be able to do any of this without your support for that. We are grateful. Now there's an opportunity for you to help me way for limited time you can participate in the ACLJ's matching challenge for every dollar you donate $10 gift comes 20 oh $50 gift becomes 100.

This is a critical time for the ACLJ. The work we do.

Simply would not occur without your generous take coordinator matching challenge today make a difference in what we do. Protecting the constitutional and religious freedoms most important to you and your family. You forgive today online ACLJ only one. A society can agree that the most vulnerable invoice is certainly protect. Is there any hope for that culture to survive. And that's exactly what you are saying when you stand with the American Center for Law and Justice, defendant the right to life.

We created a free powerful publication offering a panoramic view of the ACLJ's battle for the unborn is called mission will show you how you are personally publication includes a look at all major ACLJ cases were fighting for the rights of pro-life activists. The ramifications of Roe V Wade, 40 years later Planned Parenthood's role in the motion industry and what Obama care means to the pro-life side of the many ways your membership in the ACLJ is empowering the right to life question free copy of mission life today online ACL data/17 to 40,000. That is the number estimated of American still in Afghanistan that you have been told things by the Pentagon like it's easy to get the Kabul airport no problem with the other reporters who are the grant would be just be honest and been seated due to good job.

Two of holding that the accountable. These US officials because just not true that I hope that you maybe that could change for those Americans who need to access the airport right now this is how it's been described the Taliban and controls the outside of the airport. The check points leading into the airport. If you're American you have to then three Taliban checkpoint. This after 20 year war with the Taliban. The came to a close, four days ago at with the Taliban and seizing basically the entire country of Afghanistan.

All the major cities at the same Todd that if you get inside the airport give the US troops who are in control and if you got. Of course the massive amount of people from Afghanistan tried to flee. That's a very difficult situation, but present Biden it with Vince this whole interview has been placated set that would George Stephanopoulos from ABC News take Alyssa were getting some of the interview data will air tonight and home of the session could've been handled better in any way. No mistakes, no I don't think it could've been handled in a way that there you go. Back in hindsight and look at the idea that somehow there's a way to have gotten out without chaos ensuing. I don't how that happens. I don't how that happened. So for you. That was always pricing the decision yes you know if this was. There was no mistake here.

If this could not have been handled better. Wes I think your little white house press briefing today. There's not they would've had those out of office emails, they would be prepared for at least some chaos, some chaos to that to the situation we we know that Joe present Biden and his said the oats not to look like us. I got it looked exactly like Saigon to people who remember those or just for those of us who see the images before of that that the military helicopters landing on the top MC the exact same image occurred and were seeing headlines like this from seated at seven months into his term present Biden's no longer getting credit simply for not being Donald Trump. This this is I think the first time the media has been in unison and holding this administration accountable. The border didn't do it. So the covert miscommunications didn't do it, but certainly this has it when he says that that no mistakes were made. This could not have been handled without without chaos, what it would've been a crazy inapt kind of statement is not that operations like this are not complicated right are complicated but I remember being in in command and Gen. staff College for the Army and we talked about these kinds of scenarios. It is military operations 101 and so if this is been bungled and mishandled by the President and I'll be honest with you are the senior leadership of the Pentagon in ways that I've never seen this or read about this in my lifetime I've never done this before, but I'm at the point of saying that Jenna lost in the secretary of defense, and generally, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff should either resign or be relieved because this is crazy. A brand-new Army Capt. Jordan could've figured this operation out there several things you do. First of all you get the civilians out first before you move the troops out and you put a covering force with superior firepower at the airport and then you put armor at the entrances to the airport not to tell a man guarding the entrances to the airport and then you put in for tree on the major highways to guard that the routes leading to the airport and to guard the civilians use US airpower to hold the Taliban and check to keep them from taking the area around the airport and the capital city and by the way we built Baucom airbase, which is a huge airfield and then gave it up and let the Taliban take it the Kabul airport has one runway. Baucom has several we gave that to the tell a man's there were just so many mistakes made along the way and and so again for him to say this was unavoidable is absolutely categorically wrong, like a sitter. Brand-new Army Capt. out of the career course would've known that you cannot do what the Pentagon leadership in this present have tried to do, and they're paying the price. Stephanopoulos pushes at present Biden on this.

This will air later tonight but is the clips that they Artie sank. Was this a failure present by listen carefully almost use the term of the get tries to move away from it as a politician doesn't want say that take Alyssa when you look at what's happened over the last week. Was it a failure of intelligence, planning, execution, or judgment. I don't think it was a fair look of simple choice charge when you had the government of Afghanistan.

The leader that government getting the plane taking off and going another country. When you saw the significant collapse of the Afghan troops.

We are trained over a month to 300,000 of them just leaving the equipment and and taking off.

That was you know I'm not. This is is that that's what happened is simply what happened. I he could see that simply what happens is trying to blame Afghan troops.

You would think less than a limited fan but west it. After these 20 years.

Our military should avail to give a pretty good assessment of these troops of the leaders in Afghanistan were they going to be the type who would risk their lives to fight to keep these cities under their control to keep at least the major capitals at prompt provincial cities and towns under control and obviously were not willing to their their President fled left the country that military disappeared, but you would think that maybe we would pick that up that something you would picked up as a US official try to deal with some of this Afghan leadership. Well, it was picked up by by commanders on the ground.

I was picked up by our intelligence agencies. Just yesterday the special Inspector General for Afghan reconstruction issued his final report is an assessment of the entire 20 years and he points these kinds of things out there was a lot of denial going on and wishful thinking on the part of the senior leadership in the military that this Inspector General points out some of the things that you alluded to, including the fact when the present says there are 300,000 Afghan troops. We know that that's not true. There were so much corruption in the Afghan government what was happening in many cases, that they would have basically faked military units and fake military personnel because keep in mind were paying their salaries and usually in cash so the commander of the unit would inflate his roles and then pocket the cash. This happened all over the country. I doubt seriously that there were 300,000 troops in the President he gets briefed by the Pentagon and the CIA. He should know these kinds of things I'm mystified as to why he doesn't know it when you hear these had numbers fan.

This is why we are Artie seen on Capitol Hill that this would be Democrats calling for hearings as well about bipartisan call. Nancy Pelosi said this could be hears as well so that event at no less than four congressional committees looking at holding hearings at coming back to Congress early this month to hold hearings on this, but I know that we talked about before. It is one thing to hold hearings on what has happened. The problems here.

It's another if you got if you if it becomes a partisan breakdown that everything else is become an issue is finger-pointing. While Trump wanted to do this by did this in and that's not really what we need right now is solutions. Yet Congress is you have to remember we're in the midst of this emergency Jordanian. We still have tens of thousands of Americans and other allies on the ground also vulnerable's that need evacuated. That's where the focus needs to be your right we've heard from at least four committees on both sides of Capitol Hill. Both the house and the Senate that have said they're going to get a hold hearings on this next week when Congress turns returns to town of probably shift the attention away from the infrastructure and reconciliation bills Jordan, I think there could actually be up to six committees that will ultimately look at that she would have armed services on both sides of the hill you would have House foreign affairs Senate Foreign Relations Committee likely the Intel committees on both sides of the hill, but here's my concerns were in any you not have seen this. How many times before you get into these hearings. There's a real emergency. There's a real situation that that Congress has a very real duty to hold the administration, counseling, and what they should be pressuring Pres. Biden as well as the administration to make sure that these priority evacuations happen, but what it was my concern that I'm very concerning to get inside that hearing instantly all political unity all finger-pointing and will be a giant waste of time and a distraction from what needs to take place. Now look, I'm not.

I don't want to say that's can happen but I want our voices to be heard, that when we get into these hearings next week. They need to be used as leverage to make the administration's understand the American people will stand for nothing less in every American getting out every ally that's partnered with us in the vulnerable's that were responsible to. That's where their focus needs to be Jordan we come after the break.

Don't worry, as you hear from the national security advisor to the President. They talk to the Taliban and everything will be fine. So no J Sullivan really said that this is a guy negotiating Iranian nuclear deal, so I think this is what this is doing is putting the spotlight on the officials we've warned you about for so long as being people who just have bad ideas, bad policies that have no business being in these roles after failure after failure, but yet they were brought in and actually promoted under the Biden ministration. Since this is really if you would appoint figures it's Obama by this is because the same people moving. I guess you had for years, a present from when there was a troop draw data they ultimately wanted to withdraw, but they never put they didn't pull the trigger on that because I think they realize that the complications involved in the prep present from his talk to what he would've done differently with their plans were like it was, of course, getting the civilians out given the Afghan to assist us out. Taking out the equipment or least destroy it if you have to, even destroyed, ports if necessary. We come backwards to take all your phone calls. Bill and James will get you first, as well as update you on Capitol Hill was just an update for the Capitol Hill police view that cute wee comeback Is still active situation.

There in Washington DC will be right back on secular only one. A society can agree that the most vulnerable invoice is, is there any hope for that culture to survive. And that's exactly what you are saying when you stand with the American Center for Law and Justice, defendant the right to life, we've created a free hour for publication offering a panoramic view of the ACLJ's battle for the unborn is called mission will show you how you are personally publication includes a look at all major ACLJ cases were fighting for the rights of pro-life activist ramifications of weighing 40 years later Planned Parenthood's role in the emotion industry and what Obama care means to discover the many ways your membership in the ACLJ is empowering the right question for economy mission life today online ACLJ/the American Center for Law and Justice were engaged in critical issues at home and abroad. Whether it's defending religious freedom.

Protecting those who are persecuted for their faith. Uncovering corruption in the Washington bureaucracy fighting to protect life in the courts and in Congress.

ACLJ would not be able to do any of this without your support for that. We are grateful. Now there's an opportunity for you to help me way for limited time you can participate in the ACLJ's matching challenge for every dollar you donate $10 gift comes 20 oh $50 gift becomes 100.

This is a critical time for the ACLJ. The work we simply would not occur without your generous take part in our matching challenge make a difference in protecting the constitutional and religious freedoms most important to you and your family.

You forgive today online ACLJ update from Capitol Hill police they are investigating and we can we have the image up there image up of the individual on Capitol Hill is by the Library of Congress, so will put that up on the screen for you and admitted of the individuals in the truck they are determining whether or not he does actually have a detonator connected to fuel police are negotiating with the suspect Fox is also fostered was told it's an old figure to law enforcement. So I get what will show that foot. Here's the photo she sees the light cascaded around us were holding their phone not moving the truck. The question is, is he does he have a database of devices is real or or not working cucumber amulets were on Capitol Hill. Got police outside our office I were thin and is now really continued up to you throughout the show because again, this is happening at a time with security very high Washington DC but you still see that there still vulnerabilities and whether or not these are actual individuals making threats or if they can make good on their threat tape that you have to act as if they can let me go out to the fall 2000 684 31 two that's what hundred 64 3110 Bill in Wyoming first online what he built. Welcome to secular you're on the air line will cricket five-part printing what happened to your uncle. I'd like to read Isaiah 66. 13. I would read it.

But it would break me up while living there and I don't want to do that. I want to get my question out these pavilions that are left over. My concern is that they might wind up being bargaining chip for one way or another in the future to the 40,000 very vocal people right now without US military think they could call on to evacuate her sleep with the need, but they're being told this, this is Bill.

What is so surprising is it being told this by Jake Sullivan in the US government right now.

Take a listen by 46 Taliban have informed us that they are prepared to provide the safe passage of civilians to the airport and we intend to hold them to that commitment. Okay, so if they don't always looking asking for part two because I don't I would trust Taliban writings a passive city would but especially not these Americans could do magic. The influx of the subject did not all in Kabul but there's obviously a sizable amount because of the boards of Kabul, trusting the Taliban in the work and hold them accountable. While that sounds like another possible war well yeah and and I doubt that that will happen and I would if I had been a reporter there. I would ask Mr. Sullivan exactly how you intend to hold them accountable.

There are a lot of civilians in the country all over the country. As you said a lot in Kabul.

If the Telemann is going to provide safe passage. How come you're not letting the civilians in Kabul make their way to the airport because there there are reports now from people on the ground that is a try to go through the entrances to the airport on the side of the airport there quickly turned back if they show a passport or papers. Those are confiscated their cell phones are broken in many of them are beaten. That does not sound like safe passage and yet we're at a point that the US Department of State is imploring the Taliban to help us were depending on the good graces and the word of the Taliban to to get Americans out. I think the color has a point. They could be used as bargaining chips attain what else I think will happen to in this most most unfortunate and alarming.

We still have prisoners at Gitmo, and I suspect that the telegram will also try to use that as a bargaining chip that we will cooperate will let everyone out, but you have to let the prisoners out get most of the can return to Afghanistan. This is this is a dicey situation and it still has the potential to get even worse than it is right now. I pray it doesn't know what what's shocking to out of this sound were getting from the Stephanopoulos eat interview is the present since he can't remember if he was told by the military to keep those 2500 in place and I know we have a conference I was served in Afghanistan James in Arizona.

Let's get that sound guys at me the idea that this is a President who is his ability and his unit with its been questioned it's pretty questioned whether he was up to this job and then he says he can't remember if he was told by his top military leaders whether not been a good idea to keep the 22nd, 2500 troops there that kept things relatively calm in Afghanistan during this period were the US is figuring out what a withdrawal look like and that could've been what withdrawal looks like 2500 troops remaining in you can still say this is over there. Here keep the peace for our US personnel and services, their interest in the region. Let's go to James in Arizona he James welcome to secular you're on the air. All I'm an Afghanistan veteran I serve Fort Worth between 2001 and 2008. Thank you for service. I feel like this abject failure by this administration just rented to all at once pulling our people out.

I feel like the friends that I lost over there, died for nothing, but they didn't know that it's it's tough right now understand the American people at the pre-I appreciate so much your service. Your friend service. Those were lost. You make the ultimate sacrifice that we have the freedoms that we do and I think that the average person. We all understand that Wesley, but I can understand that if you serve their use and you and you you lost friends he lost love ones. I gloss you your body's and and now you see this kind of bungled withdrawal which which seems likely at the present saying he remembered what he was told by his military advisors and and James my heart with you and is easy to feel that way. It is understandable to feel that way, and I've been asked by families by ghost our families who have lost loved ones.

There did my love when my son or daughter, husband, wife, did they did they die in vain. And my answer is any time that evil's fault and faced encountered. It is not in vain. But I understand his emotion to you wonder about it as as soldiers and sailors, Marines, airmen, we do our job and the guys and gals there did their job faithfully. They have nothing to be ashamed or embarrassed about.

I the mission is been bungled by politicians in the past and by the administration.

Now, I would encourage James and others to know that you know the sacrifice was not in vain. Duty was done and anytime he was confronted. It's never completely in vain. But I feel his pain absolutely and for everybody serve ready to say at your thank you to everyone serving right now to all who have served out unit with ACLJ a lot of veterans on our staff but but again I know these could be tough images to see tough to process. I reach out to clergy reach out if you need help because it elicits its tough seeds for people like me who didn't serve whose deliver this conflict for 20 years, the life to see it in this way, with all those images that evoke other images of other conflicts that were not handled correctly and so I understand as best I can and I still will totally understand what you're going through, but I know you got support.

I know you got that the American people have you back as well. We come back a second half-hour coming up will get more to the sound where the present.

He kind of makes the did not note.

No one ever said this to me. No one told me to ever keep troops there, and that the last point he says will not that I can recall. So yet again hee hee hedges at the very end of play that for you. We come back to the break will tickle your calls 100-684-3110 if you serve in a safe your vendor that conflict love to hear your thoughts on what is going on right now. One 864 3110.

I don't wish to have new piece going up in ACLJ that are today right idea about the Inspector General's report on the 20 year war and how this this withdrawal is being totally bundled unnecessarily right folks, we come back again. I encourage you to cut ACLJ that don't support the work of the American Center for Law and Justice will update you with Bill as well.

SRT was there. Of course, event office right there support the work in ACLJ Dürer matching Township ACLJ.org W the American Center for Law and Justice were engaged in critical issues at home and abroad for limited time you can participate in the ACLJ matching challenge for every dollar you donate will be managed $10 gift becomes $20, $50 gift becomes 100 you can make a difference in the world who knew protecting the constitutional and religious freedoms most important to you and your family.

Give a gift today online ACLJ.keeping you informed and now, this is Jordan secular back to secular reports that the what is developing Afghanistan to cover and I've been off the air so bloated to be able to respond to the stupid. It's an ugly situation. Second, there is breaking news out of Washington DC a few George is there still active situation Bob threat on Capitol Hill. Near the Library of Congress, which means near the offices. The ACLJ, of course, three quarters been evacuated some congressional offices been evacuated as well.

The there is that I think we put the image up on the screen says individual to truck that's right by Library of Congress. It looks your phone but there's the Capitol Hill police did one briefing where they sit there trying to determine how they know this individual. They did get in more detail in that whether or not there is actual detonation device in some kind of fuel are connected to it. They are still in the midst of set is still ongoing situation to Afghanistan as well ask people who would serve Afghanistan to call for ledger full right now but I'm sure some will clear up at 164 3110. This is our toll by seeing it politically. Jake Sullivan first. This is the national security advisor is also as a guide or Obama, who put together the miraculous of wonderful Iran nuclear deal, but that was the national security advisor to present by the very important position inside the White House. This is what he had to say about those Americans and people trying to get to the airport in Kabul trying to get out.

The Taliban have informed us that they are prepared to provide the safe passage of civilians to the airport and we intend to hold them to that commitment.

So, whatever that means. I very scary. That would Juergen have to rely on the Taliban to provide safe passage for you. Take a listen to Clarissa Ward from CNN about what the seat is actually like outside the airport first parameter which are special forces here are still working with time, we are hearing reports being pretty brutal as well. Some videos online and independently verify that they do appear to show also beating people back so we got US troops back in harm's way, but was also clear is that the Taliban is a charge the first.

I get 10 airport unless you go through Taliban checkpoint and that were supposedly working with the Taliban. Now people that we were shooting for five days ago and now people are supposed to be trusted.

Yeah me. This is incredibly naïve and crazy in Nutley that were flying in thousands of US troops and from the military you know perspective you're going to fly thousand. I know we have to and I'm never doing it your flying thousands of troops into an airport that is completely encircled by the enemy and you're going to rely on the enemy's word to let the civilians in and not to attack our troops think researchers are armed and they would return fire. But this is insanity on steroids. Jordan to headline a daily mail right now is Joe loses his grip is been a lot of criticism from the right about Joe Biden's fitness to serve. Now the left.

Now you got people like George Stephanopoulos pushing him hard seated since I for the first time seven months into his presidency that they not just giving them a pass for not being Donald Trump take a listen though to this folks as Joe Biden if the question definitively twice and then gives the big hedge the end military advisers warned against withdrawing this timeline.

They wanted to keep about 2500 for now.

They didn't split that one to. I was dating tell you that they wanted troops to stay.

No, not at not in terms of whether we were going to get out to the timeframe. All troops they didn't argue against Sunil and no one told you military guys not tell you know we should just keep 2500 troops. It's been a stable situation for the last several years.

We can do that we can continue to do that know no one said that to me that I can recall. Not that I can recall. So after definitively saying no, no, that's not true. Now which I can't remember that pulse series of question activity it be very to see this entire report by ABC because again as we've seen in the media Wall Street Journal headline the Taliban and capture Joe Biden. She got daily mail say Joe loses grip. This is not good for our American because this is at the world stage is different than just squabbling over domestic politics. This is international geopolitical.

This is what makes you breaks you as a superpower will be right back. Take your calls, your comments on secular American Center for Law and Justice were engaged in critical issues at home and abroad.

Whether it's defending religious freedom. Protecting those for their faith. Uncovering corruption in the Washington bureaucracy fighting to protect life in the courts and in Congress ACLJ would not be able to do any of this without your support for that.

We are grateful. Now there's an opportunity for you to help me way for limited time you can participate in the ACLJ's matching challenge for every dollar you donate $10 gift becomes 20 $50 gift becomes 100. This is a critical time for the ACLJ.

The work we simply would not occur without your generous take part in our matching challenge make a difference in protecting the constitutional and religious freedoms most important to you beautiful gift today online ACLJ only one. A society can agree that the most vulnerable invoice is, is there any hope for that culture to survive.

And that's exactly what you are saying when you stand with the American Center for Law and Justice, defendant the right to life, we've created a free powerful publication offering a panoramic view of the ACLJ's battle for the unborn is called mission will show you how you are personally publication includes a look at all major ACLJ cases were fighting for the rights of pro-life activist the ramifications of Roe V Wade, 40 years later Planned Parenthood's role in the emotion industry and what Obama care means to the many ways your membership in the ACLJ is empowering the right question free copy mission life today online ACLJ/headline Joe loses grip that's that's daily mail, Wall Street Journal, the Taliban capture Joe Biden seated seven months into his term, Biden no longer gets credit simply for not being Donald Trump. The media pretty united in their questioning criticism of the decision-making that went into this withdrawal from Afghanistan by the Biden administration as we played for you in the last set in the light saber for it with this idea of who did the military be at seems like George Steph office got good sourcing on this that there was a lot of military leadership saying you need to keep the 2500 troops to the bin, they can still draw down the conflict, but keep those troops there so that things remain relatively peaceful. The government can continue to function their military to continue to function their but he said no that he said why I can't recall that then you have a Jake Sullivan national security advisor, the President of the United States of America telling Americans and others who need to get out of Afghanistan. Trust the Taliban we talk to the Taliban. They said they'll provide safe passage me this is this is getting toward a level which we have not seen in a long time ago if they have been Washington DC because they have, it has been a while since we've seen both Democrats and Republicans say we got a hold hearings on this. There is a concern that the series become absolutely political and not about that that mission failure that we are say right now and how we can improve the situation because we also know on top of all this, yes, who is ready to go right into Afghanistan yet again. The Russians with the Chinese.

So this time around the think about the Russians think they can do better because it would have the Chinese working with them as well. These government still going to try to build up governments or militaries are happy to work with the Taliban happy to work with human rights abuses they themselves are human rights abuses that in the Chinese are carrying out their own genocide in their own country. They think their problem dealing with the Taliban. They work well together, but that Congress wants to get to the bottom of this because I think that if these numbers are cognizant been there for a while they been authorizing this tape.

They have they been there before. They thinks they know the troops in their own districts. They know those who lost their lives they hear from veterans of this is it's very important to Congress to why I'm always concerned hearings or hearings again become political because they so often do, but here's the hope that I have Jordan that it won't go that way.

There was a pretty strong bipartisan support for the withdraw. This was true during the Trump administration was true during the Biden administration and so I think you have a bipartisan concern that why with while withdrawal was the correct thing to do that. Of course it had to be done in an orderly fashion to me like here's the proof that Pres. Biden wasn't out to destroy me. If you do if you backup just a few weeks just a couple of weeks. American forces a very small amount of them were keeping the talismanic day. So, of course, by definition, that would've been the moment to make sure that all Americans all allies. All resources were out.

By the way, you're not something we haven't talked about a whole lot today.

West touched on it, but you have prisoners that were released from the American base. You have a weapon you had buildings you have ports you have vehicles.

How many of those Jordan are now in the hands of the Taliban and I think those are the questions that need to be asked by a bipartisan group of of committees next week. I hope it doesn't become political and I will tell you this. Here's one question that I would. I would like to see asked of the administration you played the sound of from Jake Sullivan that that the Taliban was responsible for providing a safe passage to the airport. I want to know if Jake Sullivan or any other member of the administration would trust the Taliban and to provide them safe passage if their lives depended on it to an airport because I certainly would not know.

I mean I get why would you trust to tell baby been an active conflict. I went west I would play the spy for this is Bill Haber talking to a Democrat member Congress for the foreign affairs committee, Susan Wilde from Pennsylvania. Since the Democrat take a list has he indicated him enough and effectively with what's happening there on the ground a lot of communication from the lighthouse.

I don't think we've had enough communication on Afghanistan and situation right now we deserve answers.

We intend to get answers you've already heard that the House foreign affairs committee plans to conduct hearings as early as next week we will be in Washington I working there a lot of questions. I know Mike my colleagues on both sides. I am doing well. I think this presents an opportunity for Congress to work together to not make this partisan West like the military itself just to get into. Okay, who said this would be a good idea to do it the way we did it was done. Obviously, you can always point you know it's it's hindsight, it's always 2020. That's one thing but here it does appear that we were already had such a small amount of troops there. This pulling of the plug that we did with up with the equipment with the guns we see everybody see the pictures of the Taliban, with all the new that they've now. They went from old AK-47s to updated weaponry to aircraft. They can even utilize necessarily but they'll try add an Afghan military that was trade.

They can also enjoy this.

This is a presidency defining issue for Joe Biden. We have not been this embarrassed as a nation since the Iran hostage crisis in 1979 in Pres. Biden's failure to acknowledge mistakes to take responsibility for God sake, to show empathy about what's going on is arrogant is a break from reality is like the Emperor has no clothes and either doesn't know it or won't admit it and he needs to get dressed into his personal defensiveness about this is inability to remember stuff is shameful and shocking either when he says he doesn't remember what his military advisers told him about 2500 troops either is not telling the truth or we have serious serious problems with the man who was at the top of the military chain of command either of those is is pretty alarming it and by the way, want to set it up that the Pentagon leadership have been as disingenuous and is broken as the White House is on this issue in my opinion yesterday when the secretary of defense was asked about whether or not we go out and help bring some of our American citizens to the airport's response was well. We have 2500 troops here, but their job is to guard the embassy and so they can't go get the civilians. I'm sorry the US Embassy closed days ago. Essentially, there is no US Embassy for for him to look at the American people say we can't go get American citizens were trapped but by the way, will trust that Taliban to give them safe passage.

This is craziness, Jordan, and I know that while Facebook talked about the 2000 US his nephew Sen. Roberts had a question about the activity or hey Rob and welcome to secular you're on the air from four other poor nations are the military and yellow humanitarian organization chart and civilians are they able to get out of Afghanistan and has the Biden ministration given consideration to that all listed talking about it now we know other countries are doing the job that they by the way, I know that in the UK they are. They are extremely upset less again because every told David get that the info would sit there now having to take there there there.

Of course, and in the role as NATO. It is our ally, tried to do the same thing were focused receipt. All this US attention, but the other countries while they got issues with getting their people out now safely to yes there are all these Americans are working there for for for nongovernmental relations for governmental organizations that are not military like USAID and in all the rebuilding of structured the go to the place after the military's been through had a build up civil society sees all those people were left. It was at at and they thought that they at least had 90 days which is a long time to figure out how to evacuate all these people and he said it took for you and not only that some of these aid workers in missionaries and other people are all throughout the country and over the last couple of months. The tele-band has taken the majority of the country. So for some of those people. It was not safe to travel even weeks ago.

I still think there's a way for for this administration. If they had the courage to do it and the clarity to say to the tele-band look we are going to get our people stand back.

We have the military power to do that. Unfortunately I don't think this White House has the will to know what your reaction to because we we heard from Pres. Biden set a failure delete we hear actual reports on the ground from seated by 31 yesterday in his comments to ABC News that this is not a failure and I think a lot of people outside the airport, particularly those taking the kind of extreme actions were just talking about would like to know if this is failure. What does failure look like exactly something I will write you on this because we know the there. There are this idea that this could be bad around Washington DC, but this to me to see that there was wide bipartisan support to withdraw from Afghanistan and there was also support for the country simply pursue the country thought so.

I think everybody's idea of what that actually meant was that Germany situation was. This is sick. Korea situation this or was it look like Vietnam and this is looking like me that this is a failure. Jordan and I would add to it. It's an ongoing failure to an ongoing failure because on the ground right now. We have American citizens.

We have allies we have contractors we have vulnerable's whose lives are on the line right now. Jordan and we don't have a lot of time coming to newsbreak their fathers who don't know where their young daughters are now because the US pulled their security forces away without warning is not acceptable. The United States of America has to better than that dog. We haven't even got into the issues facing death to people who for 20 years.

They reopen schooling for girls that women having active roles in civil society of life and business in the government and now all that again said to the Talbots control Christians in Afghanistan 20 years at this protection. Now tell they were poorly going door-to-door there were only touching the surface of the atrocities that are only one. A society can agree that the most vulnerable invoice is, is there any hope for that culture to survive. And that's exactly what you are saying when you stand with the American Center for Law and Justice, defendant the right to life. We've created a free and powerful publication offering a panoramic view of the ACLJ's battle for the unborn is called mission will show you how you are personally publication includes a look at all major ACLJ were fighting for the rights of pro-life activist ramifications of Roe V Wade, 40 years later Planned Parenthood's role in the abortion industry and what Obama care means to discover the many ways your membership is empowering the right question free copy of mission in life today online ACLJ/the American Center for Law and Justice were engaged in critical issues at home and abroad. Whether it's defending religious freedom. Protecting those for their faith.

The work we simply would not occur without your generous take part in our matching challenge make a difference in protecting the constitutional and religious freedoms most important to you. You forgive today online ACLJ issued basically really followed very closely because they impact our office in Washington receive in this individual on Capitol Hill this truck I say gets loaded with explosives as he is live streaming of businesses world we live in a doubt. But that they just update you don't RT was still in this perimeter has not been told.

Evacuate yet there's ongoing negotiations with this individual is making a lot of threats again. The law enforcement has to figure out how much of the threat they try to take this individual out what could they do. Unfortunately comes a time of this high security prison. Washington DC a lot of tension. He had urinated slightly expand the area that was a good evacuate and were still outside that perimeter were inside the perimeter were there asking people to shelter in place.

Essentially so unable to stay on the air with you. We don't have to evacuate. I'm sure we'll get a notice.

If that changes the look I would tell you this, especially after the last few months and exit the last several years. Law-enforcement round years been under a lot of duress. I would say thoughts and prayers of the folks are negotiating with this individual at the moment you absolutely immediately be doing one thing after another is always action like this on Capitol Hill. It is, but it seems to be more regular Ed nowadays in a more extreme and that's unfortunate because again it's our nations capital and you want your nation's capital be a place that can be welcoming open… Possible during everything else the country doing with the pandemic, but not unit this is a give rivet stay on this.

I will continue to update people as as well I wouldn't go as we had the sound yet from this is that ABC was putting out a lot from this bite interview which they can put out this much if you would like.

What else is there but it's by begin being pressed on the security situation that airport situation. What were all see with our own eyes. I was, not obviously on the air abuzz with friends Washington DC sub work in the government somewhere outside the government now they suggest the images alone of the people try to cling to a plaintiff fall off a plane was a reminder you know of of kind of what we don't want as Americans. The opposite of what we we we what we fight against take this out Bible explains what it's like at the airport in in Kabul a lot of pandemonium outside the airport with her love. But no one's been killed right now God will forgive me for if I'm wrong about that, but no one's been killed right now. We got a thousand somewhat 1200 out yesterday couple thousand a day and is increasing working to get those people out the we've all seen the pictures are seen as hundreds of people packed into the C-17 leasing Afghans catalyst four days ago five days ago get knocked I would get the second thing is that you tire for five days ago, but we know right now the reports are the US troops are having to engage as well with civilians with the Taliban and trying to work still with what remains of the Afghan special forces. This I didn't know is been killed. We know at least a dozen people been killed, so that's not true that he says everything like a politician like he like eventually he says I don't recall if I was told to keep 2500 troops there. He says it that you know there right now know what is been killed. I don't know what he means standby right now. That's probably him being a politician to say the second that I'm talking to you don't got killed. We know people are being killed and we know unfortunately that with this withdrawal we got reports that the Taliban is going toward.

We haven't really even gotten to the human side of this subtype outcome of the US side of this, but that the Taliban is going door-to-door looking for Christians. Specifically, they will eradicate Christianity once again under their rule out we know the situation, but father of two young young girls. This is the worst of the world. The worst of the worst places to be, is under the Taliban's control as awarded hoots who experienced 20 years of freedom. Jordan, this is not a time to talk you about the timing of Michael losing their lives. He knows good and well.

People are losing their lives right now. He knows good and well. People will continue to lose their lives to security forces back out. It will be those who are minorities will be women and girls.

It will be Christians. It will be a Muslim minorities.

He knows that good and well Jordan, this is not the time to be a politician, is the time to be the commander-in-chief and do something about it while the United States still can. And look, I would say the two groups of individuals that I really get me a that that the church in Afghanistan definitely gonna be under siege in Jordan I'm also a father of two young girls and I think about the father's that at this moment are having their young daughters taken away to be quote unquote married to Taliban fighters. Jordan that's a fate that's worse than death.

In many cases, so look I need my commander-in-chief.

All Americans need our commander-in-chief to stop talking political to stop talking cute and to engage the strongest military, the strongest government in the world to do something about this ongoing emergencies, not in the past were not finger-pointing were not doing AAA by an autopsy, so to speak.

This is an ongoing emergency in people's lives are on the line.

I don't say that there's many around the world that would love to say of this is the death of America as a superpower as we know it, but you do have to look at the situations like post-World War II earlier. Clearly, the superpower we got to Vietnam looked a little bit you know it was it was it was also a chaotic time domestically now today 20 years into Afghanistan chaotic time domestically around the world are the pandemic at home with the pandemic.

We saw the protest we had a kick at election comfort all those things that have happened so a little bit of history repeating itself. So this is a defining moment how you before do you move forward and correct course so that you do remain the superpower because the fact that the rush of the Chinese are right at the back door there ready to work alongside the Taliban tells me they see this they see this is that moment to do and I hope next week is the beginning of that moment. It it can be if my concerns about the hearings becoming political doesn't come to fruition. If that is eight opportunity for in a bipartisan way the American people through their elected representatives to remind the administration what we expect of them, because again there is consensus on this withdrawal or lease very close to consensus. We wanted executed in a way though that protect American citizens are allies in the vulnerable's on the ground. I think next week I can be the opportunity for that Jordan. But it's gonna have to get past political games.

It's good. I have to get back to executing a proper withdraw, and I would tell you this just to be optimistic yet. You're absolutely correct that we can still be the superpower the world and we can still pull much of this disaster from the brink. And again, I would point you to the proof Jordan two weeks ago was the Taliban in charge know the force of America was keeping the Taliban at bay and we could've executed a safe withdraw it.

It's harder now than it was then we can still get it done. I think that we all have to consider this to from the White House that said you were to be transparent were to be friendly with the press.

What are they doing now with the press has the most questions is the press briefing today. Now I'm Impreza bite is sitting down for we haven't heard anything from VP Harris really on this we hear some from Jake Sullivan, the national security advisor, but there was also mixed messaging covering any of the military leadership are not exactly on the same message points as the White House.

You would think it's something this important whether it went as planned or not. So whether you would but when you're the planning stages. Part of that is okay with her communication strategy. We know this is gonna be contentious. It went better than this, that we need a plan for how were going to talk to the American people about what they're saying how we talk to our our members of our military about what they are seeing after they've lost friends after they have shed their own blood for these Afghans to keep us safe from the terrorist threat that becomes Afghanistan. When it becomes rapidly once again, it looks like a safe haven for those that want to do us harm and they will commit those groups but I think it's even bigger then I think this is defining moment for America moving for are we the that the shining city on the hill are we able to to recover from this and continue to be the world's leader to get elections have consequences that this is just to give the one election supposed to update you off course on this throughout the week and ACLJ in order to be pleased by what Smith also continue to follow the news what's happening on Capitol Hill. That is not come to a conclusion get hope that one everyone safe.

We will talk you tomorrow on secular the American Center for Law and Justice were engaged in critical issues at home and abroad for limited time you can participate in the ACLJ matching challenge for every dollar you donate, it will be now $10 gift becomes $20, $50 gift becomes 100 you can make a difference in the world who knew protecting the constitutional and religious freedoms most to you and your family.
