The ACLJ's battles for you in court. Washington DC questions right now: 1-800-684-3110. Your hose to secure the broadcast you a couple ACLJ one legal battle. That's all going one legal battle. I think a very appealable you see the victory did already in the victories case this the case involving the, the, the stimulus, the economic stimulus within the provision with the Biden administration got that stimulus through included a provision that in that status is. If you accept these funds as a state you can't lower taxes are cut taxes at all and so states said weight belt where we we should build to accept these funds from the federal government that their offering states for relief etiquette during the pandemic, but you don't in our state level. We should be was deciding if it be good economically cut taxes, change taxes they were cutting this tax increase in the southern type by cutting that one. You would then be subject to this provision, which would which would make you no longer eligible for these funds so Ohio and and other states have fought back. We represent 74 members of Congress and thousands of of a seal J supporters ACLJ members and at the District Court level, the by the ministrations lost a bit. They were told this was unconstitutional by the judge will be obscure, likely be appealed by the by administration but were fighting back and were representing members of Congress and you. This is the what's so important about this is that the idea was to get economic relief into the states of the states get economic relief to the people a part of that may have been that the state symbol got this economic release coming and let's lower tax burden on people that may increase taxes and others that was up to the states, but that's because we believe in federalism and that the federal government doesn't control what the state does with taxation, but in this particular case, they decided to find ministrations and were to bootstrap the state governments and tell them what they can tax and nontax and they take our money they cannot lower the taxes he didn't say if you take our money. You can't increase the taxes on your citizens are suffering under this pandemic. But what they did say was if you take this money, you can't carry lower your taxes absolutely. So essentially the Biden administration has engaged in an asymmetrical move. Basically that the approach that the Biden administration has selected is to grant high tax blue state governments shelter from red state competition and they've done so by essentially in my opinion violating the Constitution. So in other words, the Biden administration says we cannot grant this relief to write states if they will use reds if they will use tax relief or funds relief. I should say to reduce their taxes and so if you notice over the last 18 months or so there has been literally an influx of American citizens, particularly middle-class citizens from California from New York from Connecticut to Florida to Texas to Tennessee and the Biden administration was very very fearful that if they granted covert relief, which was really designed to bail out blue states that blue states would still lose revenue in the long term, and so they've engaged in essentially an unconstitutional process. The idea that they would put a provision and it's the basically and as I said they were fine by Mr. big S tax on people know the pandemic that was fine, but don't lower taxes because that would be bad. And why would the federal government to determine that related to what happened on that we come back from the break. Don't forget post rate will fight these cases because of your support of the ACLJ that's right. And we have a matching challenge right now at the mixer from Justice the entire month of July. Support the work ACLJ financially online ACLJ.org double the impact of your donation was that we $25 donation to ACLJ that's what you charge your credit card that triggers a matching donation, it triggers a matching donation from our group builders to match all the donations about the July effectively like donating $50 a seal J but only be charged 25. You really can make a difference with your financial support. This month to the ACLJ Fidelity online ACLJ.org very back of the American Center for Law and Justice were engaged in critical issues at home and abroad. Whether it's defending religious freedom. Protecting those who are persecuted for their faith. Uncovering corruption in the Washington bureaucracy fighting to protect life in the courts and in Congress ACLJ would not be able to do any of this without your support for that.

We are grateful. Now there's an opportunity for you to help me way for limited time you can participate in the ACLJ's matching challenge for every dollar you donate $10 gift becomes 20 oh $50 gift becomes 100. This is a critical time for the ACLJ.

The work we simply would not occur without your generous take part in our matching challenge today make a difference in the protecting the constitutional and religious freedoms you forgive today online ACLJ only one. A society can agree that the most vulnerable invoice is, is there any hope for that culture to survive. And that's exactly what you are saying when you stand with the American Center for Law and Justice, defendant the right to life, we've created a free powerful publication offering a panoramic view of the ACLJ's battle for the unborn Gold edition will show you how you are personally publication includes a look at all major ACLJ cases were fighting for the rights of pro-life activists ramifications of Roe V Wade, 40 years later Planned Parenthood's role in the abortion industry and what Obama care means to the pro-life in many ways your membership in the ACLJ is empowering the right question. A free copy of mission in life today online ACL data/security well and what ACLJ of victory one ongoing case but to what we believe will likely be appealed. Of course this is a victory. There were just type it out of the the stimulus legislation try to hamstring states ability to cut taxes are lower taxes if they accept any of the stimulus funds and that was it that the law was passed by Congress and the Biden's for sure.

They were told that the victory there at the district court level. We represent 74 members of Congress and a thousand ACLJ members and that likely will be appealed, but it's great to start off in District Court with victory. It's always good to start off with the wings. Let's go to thin Bennett office of government affairs before talk about the particulars of how we got on the briefing and how that happened. Let's talk about what this law actually did fan that was passed and its furniture first important to lay the groundwork of the political atmospherics they were happening. Remember, there were six stimulus bills passed during the pandemic J the first five of the number pastoring the trump administration.

All of them were widely bipartisan Republican administration.

Work with Democrat members of the house and the Senate. I J each of those first five passed the United States Senate with more than 90 votes that give you.

Just an idea of how closely the two parties work together. But when the Biden administration came in and there was a need for a six stimulus bill. Rather than take the bipartisan deal that was on the table. They decided to use the reconciliation process and pass a bill with only Democrat votes and why is that important in this conversation. The reason they did that J was to get language like were talking about today language that says if you take stimulus dollars, which by the way, every state is gonna take those dollars to try to help their citizens recover from the pandemic. If you take those dollars, you cannot reduce your taxes in any way were not just talking about income tax. You cannot have a net reduction in state taxes in any way. And J. One more key point here is not just for this year. You can't do it all the way through 2024.

If you think they pulled that the date of 2024. Just coincidentally out of the air. I got another thing coming for immediate selection here so that's why the time and why would they do these things it so transparent what they're doing. You have to be a degree in political science to figure out what's going on here with the federal government tell let's say Tennessee or Georgia or or New Hampshire. Here's the money but you can raise taxes on your people during a pandemic, but you can't Laura make any economic sense.

No, no, it doesn't make any economic sense, but it does make sense politically, and I think plan is absolutely correct in his analysis a basically this is a political power grab by the Democrats in Washington and are basically saying we are going to try to rebalance the entire economy of the nation by preventing interest or state competition, which is possible under the United States Constitution. Bill explicitly bars states from cutting taxes. States shall not use the funds, the bill says to either directly or indirectly offset a reduction in the net tax revenue that results from a change in the law, regulation or administrative interpretation during the cover.

That reduces any tax you any tax but in addition to doing that.

They grant arbitrary caprices authority to Janet Yellen to decide whether or not the law has been violated, but what I got up economics question about legal question economic question is why would they do this what it what is this helping well it prevents or they hope it will help reduce the level of white from blue states and that means blue states will in the long term loose tax revenue from the citizens that are flock who are fleeing to Florida to Texas to Tennessee or other states. So if you look for instance at tax revenues in the state of New York. They have gone down precipitously and they've gone down even faster in the in New York City. Now there are many reasons for this including a certain crime and other problems, but basically the Biden administration has said what can we do to slow this flight. What is the political advantage or joint assistant to not have demographic shifts in the states that the demographic shifts to do what the they don't want the states to be able to say okay will we got these funding so we can decrease the tax burden to hear site and the easiest to hamstring the states abilities to its best for their citizens what they think is best for their businesses.

Citizens of their economies and at a time. Pandemic I think just the idea is if wasn't that everyone was trying to rush to two cut taxes everywhere. The idea that they they would try to limit the ability of states do what is is inherently the states role, which is this to decide. Should there be tax cut here tax break there because of what businesses are going through right now and and we know that that was a reality and so the idea that you could put this kind of hamstring in the court said no, and I'm sure they will feel that what they want to have this kind of power to put It's as if you if you give us this, you can't. You can't cut taxes sweep to keep fighting on this about representing a lot of leadership is about. Yes, we won the case at the District Court level so the good news is, the court said this was unconstitutional, but then your team in Washington was able to put together quite an impressive group of members of Congress that were representing in addition to her ACLJ members yet J very fortunate to be joined by 74 members of Congress in 19 members of the United States Senate and 55 members of the United States House, a JPEG is quickly mention a couple of the meat we selected the leads here specifically for a reason in the house side you had Jim Banks is the chairman of the Republican study committee. He was a co-lead in the Senate side, J yet to colleagues these are very important.

Each the ranking member of the Senate Finance Committee, Mike Crapo, this is the committee with jurisdiction over this program, he co-led the brief and then this goes to Jordan's point about other tax reductions, not just tax cuts.

Tax reductions attend Scott from South Carolina co-lead this brief with us today.

As you know, he's a champion on the issue of school choice. Think about this anytime in the next four years as states are trying to deal with how to educate children coming out of the pandemic. If they are if they pass any sort of school choice measure that results in a stay in a reduction in state taxes that would trigger this provision. That's why Tim Scott was on the bill with us a J one other name Steve Scully's the majority whip in the United States. House is also on the streets of 74 members in total, very strong showing no I think it's fantastic in the court's conclusion was also fantastic thing that this was a totally unconstitutional what they did but as Jordan said that that is not over because what happened now is going to be an appeal to the US District Court for the District of Columbia. Having said that, this I get this is this this will continue. This battle is not over, but ate a Guinness example. I will act as the work that we do. We talk that will be signed on the brief weak side of the rivers of Congress, but to come back with you to report on this victory at the District Court level starting at that weight. The district court level you obscene will make its way through the Court of Appeals, but ultimately here it's about putting down markers say when are we going to fight back against this administration's overreach. Try to take advantage of our that during a pandemic of states abilities to be flexible if they so choose. Of the legislatures of state so choose to baby I get the same work in the context of this business are taxed out of the this industry right this industry because they need it right now.

But where were also to raise taxes here, or property tax again to go up or sales taxes get adopted. They have no problem going up there is no prohibition on raising any taxes. It's always about cutting or limiting the tax liability you just said something very important princes as they could.

So you know what this particular mistreatment harmed tourism, a restaurant will give them a tax break for the next 18 months.

On the other hand, real estate values are continue to go up and in the sectors doing really well serenely may want to just taxes on that and they're saying the federal government stating to the state. You can't do that absolutely. And part of the reason for that.

Of course, is what we have is a bailout of labor unions, but also at the end of the day what we have is the centralization of power in Washington. Washington believes that it knows brass it knows best with respect to state taxing authority. It knows best with respect to state elections, security laws, election integrity loss.

It knows best with respect to time, place and manner regulations with respect to regulation to buyout with respect to elections as well. So at the end of the day. What are we doing we are centralizing power in Washington. It's a power grab and I think this judge was absolutely right in rejecting it.

This is again this battle is not over.

Note the biometric second give up at the district court.

A appeal may appeal it in word and be there to fight that appeal but that's where you come in. Folks and help us by standing alongside us. We can continue this fight in this sick a great types Fort Worth ACLJ. So whether you you financially support the work regularly as a seal J or whether you are new to us, you found out about our work, you will want to support your it should make that first financial contribution. This is the time to do it because during the month of July with a matching challenge and double the impact of your donation is online ACLJ.org it safe and secure its quick make a $50 donation right now@aclj.org is effectively like $100 for the organization because of a group of donors a safe the entire about the Bart July will match the donations.

The covenant will match. Every donation comes it's double the impact of your financial contribution to the ACLJ. Think about $200 donation like $400 for the ACLJ think it during the month of July will be right back secular. Only one.

A society can agree that the most vulnerable invoice. Is there any hope for that culture to survive. And that's exactly what you are saying when you stand with the American Center for Law and Justice, defendant the right to life. We've created a free powerful publication offering a panoramic view of the ACLJ's battle for the unborn is called mission will show you how you are personally publication includes a look at all major ACLJ pro-life cases were fighting for the rights of pro-life activists.

The ramifications of Roe V Wade, 40 years later Planned Parenthood's role in the worship ministry and what Obama care means to the pro-life in many ways your membership. Seal J is empowering the right to question your free copy of mission in life today online ACLJ/the American Center for Law and Justice were engaged in critical issues at home and abroad. Whether it's defending religious freedom. Protecting those faith uncovering corruption in the Washington bureaucracy fighting to protect life in the courts and in Congress. Seal J would not be able to do any of this without your support for that. We are grateful. Now there's an opportunity for you to help me way for limited time you can participate in the ACLJ's matching challenge for every dollar you donate $10 gift becomes 20 oh $50 gift becomes 100.

This is a critical time for the seal J the work we simply would not occur without your generous take part in our matching challenge make a difference in protecting the constitutional and religious freedoms most important to you. You forgive today online ACLJ ACLJ picture. The District Court level in federal court that involving fighting back is the bite administration and other ACLJ cases bit of a long-term battle out of Florida involving legislative prayer, but at the local level and dates back to again 2014. The city of Ocala experiences a crime wave that the police chief works with local community leaders including NAACP leaders who say you know we should do a prayer vigil.

The community together and the American humanist Association, which is the most radical atheist group comes. It doesn't just threaten the city but serves the city of course they find a District Court judge that agrees with them that even though we have a long history of the United States with chaplains in Congress chaplains in the military, courts have a number of times the back it said is no issue with legislative prayer space I stop sending us these cases, the reason why they keep getting these cases because of radical District Court judges who add that we've appealed to the 11th circuit Court of Appeals. Abby Sutherland is a senior counsel for the ACLJ she's handling this case and has been for a while now, Abby. Let's go back and set up the facts of what happened here. What created literally a federal case that resulted in several children actually need to share what and difficulty collecting money and import community player and chief grand who regularly practice that community policing policy where you work with community leaders. You all work together in the community, and a blank EP grade collective grandpa game and down and community leader, which he then dad meeting at a private sheet in the Police Department and allow the community leaders plan okay so let's talk. State money wasn't bought by the county they were involved in delete what tell us about the prayer vigil. What happened at their hourly gathering at the town square, which is where the parapet telehealth and volunteer chaplain for the police department that they don't and helped me develop another volunteer to which the plaintiff indicated that they understand that they were not official and/or paid employee impeding their on the part of the past. They didn't want individual mailing content and participating in current injury intentionally was there any allegations that the allegation police chief was not himself doing the event was deleted and that was the one thing that they pleased.

He did was post a letter encouraging unity and prayer in attendance at the vigil. Where was I posted on the present and so does a letter to encourage this meant the community suggested he is encouraged not saying you must do after you got to attend. He simply just saying hey work. This event can take place in our community be good for people to attend if they so like him. It was a basically a billing and payment OPD that she Ocala Police Department finding that there was no government finding that they that all private things that they were responsible for planning and finding the NMT communication event. He reached out to him to inquire about the event he reentered Police Department planned and commanded that private event within the community's sake. Again, 20, 21, 2014. These battles and is why we exist because these.

These are not you can is the place of last resort is a quick and get some of them were during a pandemic, and in the Supreme Court. Is it weighing in on issues of court cases get help, but that this is good somewhere where the court has tried to make it settle.

Maybe they haven't been clear enough yet that we can have chaplains we can have chaplains and I hear there's no even there's no money exchanging him, but in the US government. There are paid federal government chaplains in the military as they exist in in Congress and they are paid at the end in the military.

This is their job, their only job is to be chaplain's use it every day.

Every time they're in session. The open sessions with prayer jamming as a chaplain in the United States Senate. The United States house.

I'm actually on their email distribution list so I get there devotionals that come out on a weekly basis, but JI mean those have been challenged and attached to and we have defended those as well and interestingly enough J members of Congress on a bipartisan basis have stood with us in that they want these chaplains there and I'm sure that's true in the city as well.

So you got have partners on the ground talented. Fortunately, we have so what does Judge say Abby with the judge to hear the district court) government itself and I write that court for here to determine last year that the plane court reiterated actually risky and yet another category of cases monument important prayer case and in our appellate brief along with three other nations later local calling for prayer during difficult times in history. Here is a prayer proclamation that means this is really not even legislative prayer in one sense, because this is prayer being given by private citizens at a private gathering before the appellate court and finally found it incredibly important to build a case of this case is important now that appeals to US Court of Appeals for the 11th of Abby things are working with us running at time of the assignment. Thanks for your help on this. But this one could end up at the US Supreme Court unique example 2 or we don't just represent individuals, but here representing the city of right so it's not always the ACLJ suing the government's suing state suing the federal government suing cities, towns, often times it is defending is representing the cities themselves and have themselves come under these attacks. Usually they are just threats by these atheist organizations, but occasionally they file suit. Maybe they do something about this judge that the judge of this district could be more friendly to their radical position so they were willing to file the lawsuit.

I we have to defend this idea legislative prayer chaplains anytime they care these groups. They want to get all that they one of them: really costly 54 ways and in this case representing city and that's why your support of the ACLJ so critical right now to Matt Jones campaign ACLJ.org have you give Matt a the American Center for on critical issues at home and abroad for limited time you can participate in the ACLJ challenge for every dollar you donate $10 gift becomes 20 $50 gift becomes 100 you can make a difference in protecting the constitutional and religious freedoms you and your family today. Online ACLJ live from Washington DC on the broadcasted ACLJ victory. The district court level. I would represent 74 members of Congress.

Thousands of you in the fight against the vitamins free for the idea that the stimulus funds they could limit states, abilities, band states prohibit states from lowering our cutting taxes and if they wanted to except to the stimulus funds.

The courts have agreed that that is unconstitutional is the state's role to decide if if it's proper to do a tax cut or or tax benefit to someone and ended that second to be that that federal government can hamstring states that way. We also talked about the case in Florida where we represent that the city of Ocala there fight for a prayer of it that that I court a deep, unconstitutional, were fighting that at the 11th circuit Court of Appeals representing the city and you may have noticed that the ACLJ we launch a campaign this year during the pandemic that, but but it so that we believe is very important because the current administration is the ACLJ more than ever campaign so now more than ever, we believe that the work the expertise that the team that we have the mixer flaw justice is needed audit on one of these issues is education specifically on school choice, but one thing that happened during the pandemic was that we launched our school choice initiative on education at the pandemic hit and people started to have real issues with school district.

We assisted over thousand families that was of various issues. Are you from food issues, childcare issues, to not having the right Internet ability or the right to attack the actual hard hardtack and where they needed to use laptops and tablets it to be able to continue their education. You get the credit for reversing this short because it was early on and Jordan led this initiative and it started out with. I will be helping a couple of dozen families around the country end up being. I think we got inquiries of fat thousands we actually help.

I think 1400 families or something close to that and it was his Jordan said everything from computer access to the kids in the inner city that that's where they got their meals. How will you get those delivered mobile devices and we were just really successful. Our team did a fantastic job so we put together a part of her more than ever campaign it was an exact reason why more than ever. The ACLJ was needed and we were able to help literally thousands and thousands of people and of course the next issue that you see in the last thing the broadcast is on the light picture, something we been involved in literally for 40 years and this is a good one at a time with. We are dealing with administration has the most pro-abortion lot probably HHS Sec. in history for Congressman and Atty. Gen. California business, a cabinet secretaries who in Congress. You voted against that the ban on partial-birth abortion is the most radically pro-abortion. Javier Becerra radically pro-abortion cabinet secretary ever when it comes to HHS or he is in the back pocket of Planned Parenthood crisis pregnancy centers women health centers that offered wildlife is the as an alternative wanted them to post affirmatively that where they could wear these women to get abortion you violate your conscience and he is the HHS Sec. shall we talk about the ACLJ now more than ever, and you're the life issue we been involved in it. We got one the biggest appeals going on right now in the US Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit so we are totally engaged in defending life on Capitol Hill in Europe around the globe and in your neighborhood. That's how aggressive this and that. What will show in this which are to see the last segment of the broadcast and are now more than ever series which is to be available for people to actually see it's ulcers were putting together over the next several months. That's right, it's we could check this out today on the broadcast as well get a peek at what we're working on this.

More than ever I campaign. It's a great time to support the work ACLJ we really do believe this ACLJ more than ever with a matching challenge ACLJ.org W. Patrick, we have more than ever.com is also a website that will have these videos posted visually number the 6 to 10. I think what they're looking at. That's more than ever.com but his Jordan. Also the matching challenge campaign that means anybody donate to the ACLJ were getting a matching gift for our encourage you to do it. Going to the weekend here. The work when he saw the case that did not go away that were appealing to the 11th circuit involving Prairie senior activity in school choice you see on life staying with us as we stand with you now more than ever ACLJ.the American Center for on critical issues at home and abroad. Whether it's defending religious freedom. Protecting those covering corruption in Washington fighting to protect life courts and in Congress ACLJ would not be able to do any of this without your support for that.

We are grateful. Now there's an opportunity for you to help me way for limited time you can participate in the ACLJ matching challenge for every dollar you donate $10 gift comes 20 oh $50 gift becomes 100. This is time for the ACLJ the work we simply would not occur without your generous matching challenge make protecting the constitutional and religious freedoms you forgive today online okay only when a society can agree that the most vulnerable in voice. Is there any hope for that culture to survive. And that's exactly what you are saying the American Center for Law and Justice, defendant the right to life, we've created a free publication offering a panoramic view of the ACLJ's battle for the unborn will show you how you personally. Publication includes all major ACLJ fighting for the rights of pro-life activist ramifications 40 years later, when Obama care means many ways your membership is powering the right mission life today online/check out our more than ever series you can learn more about that more than ever.com with the right to it. Americans in flaw justice for the ACLJ life is always been a top issue since our founding, I am here at this site because your office as you will want a dramatic effect.

Got it. There are thousands of people and millions across the America that disagree say abortion is murder and the fact of the matter is what this case is all about of people speaking out to core issues force at the bursar flaw justice 100% course number one religious liberty in the second issue which I think is core to the ACLJ's mission sold to us since our founding is the fight for life. The fight for the board had all or supporting their three new when you talk about the defense of innocent newborn life. I really think this sits at the very center of everything that ACLJ does and it's one of the things that inspires us and drives us forward. It's a fundamental issue for the ACLJ the unborn child is a human being. It's that simple and course, the science clearly establishes that that unborn child is a person you can agree on life and the right for everyone to have a chance to then everything else really doesn't matter. This is a very very difficult to park because the ACLJ has had to deal with progressives during the trust administration with a lot of success I found on the first President. March life.

Anything that the President could do the executive order was done.

They restate Mexico city policy so that US taxpayer dollars are not going to farm organizations that were funding abortion. That's all been changed. Now Biden administration has affected the Mexico City what the Mexico City policy did was to for bid American aid going to countries where they would use US taxpayer dollars to perform abortions will have to work really hard to ensure that no American taxpayer dollar ever comes to underwriting apportionment to stop funding from going to abortions anywhere in the world. This is been a key part of America stands for life for the value of human life or morality itself. This is now you know a program in question simply because of the change in administrations. Biden administration has appointed Pixie your Bush era.

A radical pro-abortion individual to head the health and human services department to the HHS Sec., former Atty. Gen., California Congressman Javier Becerra is up to you to become the nominee. He is now the Sec. of health and human services. He gets asked about his vote on partial-birth abortion. I will tell you that when I come to these issues. I understand that we may not always agree on where to go but I think we can find some common ground on these issues because everyone wants to make sure that you have an opportunity to live a healthy life and I will tell you that I hope to be at work with you and others to recheck common ground on so many different I think all of us when it comes to partially delivery a child and killing there's no common ground HHS Sec.'s most pro-abortion HHS Sec. Health and Human Services in our nation's history. He try to shut down in silence crisis pregnancy centers try to make crisis pregnancy centers advertise where the worsens will be performed in the state of California that you had to do that if you rent a crisis pregnancy center spring 49 states there setting policy.

One of the most ardent pro-choice people in Washington DC so when Pres. Biden picked him to be the Sec. of HHS.

We knew that these issues would be front and center believes that the Biden administration's camp sold out to the proportionate leasing ties to Planned Parenthood.

We seen with funds finally into abortion. We seen that with appointments that Pres. Biden has made, I support a woman's right to choose. I support it's a constitutional right. I've supported I will continue to support it, and I will in fact move as President to say to that the Congress legislates that all of our pro-life work that we do at the ACLJ is more critical now than I've really ever it starts here at home with the United States government holding them accountable holding the Biden ministration accountable so that all Americans are able to have faith in their government.

People think well if Republicans are charged did you party platforms pro-life so it would be easy to defund Planned Parenthood this early how Congress works.

Not every Republican is as pro-life pro-life President in office controlling the executive agencies that's where you can really see some some movement and we saw that under Pres. Trumper said let's look at all of my executive power to do everything we can. But here's the good news.

They are setting policy that gives us the opportunity to go to court to challenge those policies and we have a conservative Supreme Court.

Another great test of how conservative the court is is about to happen.

My hope and prayer is that it is again where not taking anything for granted sonar briefing to the Supreme Court. We are really detailing the legal arguments on why life should be protected. The pro-abortion group are on relenting they know they have a pro-choice administration. They know they got a pro-abortion administration there to go as they can and we have to be there to stop. We are for life. Life is a precious gift of God is a precious gift of the Holy Spirit is something that we believe in very deeply and have for decades upon decades.

We do not believe in abortion on demand. We do not believe in killing children.

If you look back at the whole history of the abortion movement. It is tied in with Margaret Sankar who was very active in the 1920s and the 1930s and she wanted to shrink the population of the United States, and perhaps of other Western countries grounded in the perception that certain people are either unfit to live or they are unworthy of life.

The ACLJ strongly believes that every life matters and that means that we have been front and center in supporting the pro life because life is under attack and we have to protect precious innocent lives that the Biden administration deems where the two main issues to the fight for life that were working right out the ACLJ one is receiving the refunding of Planned Parenthood to Planned Parenthood was defunded to the extent that the trumpet ministration could do it they did.

It was everything was all the defunded oversee a refund Planned Parenthood more powerful Planned Parenthood, Planned Parenthood gets more money to get more powerful, and when they get more powerful Planned Parenthood gets stronger and more aggressive court.

When you have a radical HHS committed and HHS Sec. is radically pro-abortion and administration full of pro-abortion advocates try to do is whittle away at the conscience protections so I think you see a lot so the last group that was.

Not that many because the ministration is fighting and thousands of pro-life charting so legislation that was anti-light was that change. We will continue to fight against these abortion initiatives.

We will fight in terms of sending FOIA request to the federal government.

We will fight these initiatives and hopefully we will bail before the United States have about more briefs now than ever before. Where in court now got a major appeal at the Ninth Circuit by defending those who spoke out life soon literally by plaintiff, NARAL for simply exposing the fact that these were involved in this, the allegations in the videos and the sale of human body parts and they really didn't deny it just said it was legal.

We take a different view, but they went after the videographers the reporters the investigative journalist that case on appeal Ninth Circuit. It may well end up in the Supreme Court. The court will be the fight. Courts are a place of last resort, and when you talk about our work in the Supreme Court. It's the last court of this court's last resort. So you want to be the case for people who have exhausted every other possible remedy for their situation and they still are seeking justice we wouldn't be there warriors for justice. If you will, and fight alongside the United States is one of only seven countries in the world that does not restrict abortion at any stage of the pregnancy. That is a list that you do not want to be on and there's a way that we can get ourselves off it with the ACLJ had been advocating for a piece of legislation that is called the pain capable unborn child tech connect. It's a very simple bill. It simply says at this stage of pregnancy tried about 20 weeks where a child is scientifically proven to be able to feel pain, we will not allow an abortion after that stage. It's a very common sense piece of legislation.

It catches us up to where the rest of the world is that is a piece of legislation. It is being blocked by the House of Representatives right now. Specifically, Nancy Pelosi, if 218 members of the United States house would go down to the floor and sign with scalding discharge petition that bill could be passed on the house and move on to the United States and it is something that should absolutely happen.

It's very important that we remain hopeful that the courts that the trumpet ministration was able to impact will give us good rulings that are based in law and sound reasoning not just liberal rhetoric only when a society can agree that the most vulnerable. Is there any hope for that culture to survive.

And that's exactly what you are saying the American Center for Law and Justice, defendant the right to life.

Forgive today online okay check out our more than ever series you can learn more about that more than ever.com was he right to it. We've been working on school choice and defending it in court for decades: secular told us that hundreds of families have contacted the ACLJ about doing school closures coming to the education system was not a new move from the American Center for Law and Justice for the day. We've been doing it since our founding school choice has been an issue that we have cheated on. We've argued all the way to the spring for decades, not just one that came in decades, and now are starting to see real results when it comes to school choice child is very interested in creating a foundation of education for those folks in the middle income arena as well as kids living kids like myself who perhaps live in the wrong ZIP Code going on performing schools. I'd love to give parents the tools choice when parents have choice in education. I think their kids have a better chance of success. More than 1900 families contacted the ACLJ during the pandemic looking for help to get educational options for their students and more than anything.

We just wanted to be an advocate for those families. For those students who wanted to find real solutions for real problems for real students that were facing adversity and so we were faced with a lot of different issues for people contacting us regarding their ability to let the kids go to school. This is administration commencing shutdown charter schools only have public school options and in private schools for those which most of their kids go to the ACLJ occupies a very special space. There are lots of other places to do lots of important for America ACLJ has taken up a lane which is more than ever campaign is all about reminding American now we need the ACLJ more dumpling two new cases in Southern California County, Arizona.

CDC confirming travel to what happened with the pandemic. Obviously, everything. So you had the need for alternative school situations which involve everything from school choice to during the pandemic getting special needs of students met by their counties.

There were just scores of students who were left behind during the pandemic. There were countless students did not thrive in a virtual learning setting and they did not have the means to select different alternatives to either hire a tutor to find an alternative way of learning school for saying where to go online. People could afford iPads for kids and we literally have schoolchildren who were sitting on her near police cars in order to steal the Internet from the police cars so that they could complete their assignments in this country you are in a rural environment or world, not world broadband had significantly hurt our special needs children with special needs have special rights under the law.

In one of the things that they have the right to is an individual education plan and many of the children in this situation during the pandemic were not having that individual education plan administered.

We were able to come alongside families and make sure that school districts found a way to give those children educational options during the pandemic.

I am very proud of the role of the ACLJ plate. They were trying to pass.

What happened was it was a skylight broad-based one-size-fits-all approach to education.

When you had special needs students that had special needs in the county had the resources to do it. They just weren't forthcoming. And that's why we went aggressively on that is one of the things we want to impress upon people is the need, especially during this pandemic to get kids back in school that's very important for us is to make sure the children are back in school, provided of course that the environment is safe all around, have the option to tax dollars allocated to their child to send someplace else that is open if they want them and we need to get our schools back. Open again with most innovative nation can do if you will.

School is accepted your child. It's your money, why should you pay for service you're not getting schools gave me my school money back adults and children from this isolation.

State school district and that's the whole problem with our education system should be about where you live or what neighborhood. We are not having a problem based simply on resources were not having a problem based on ZIP Code. We are having a problem based on imagination problem based on the circumstances that the adults find the kids the kids find themselves so we teach to where we want them to go, as opposed to dumbing down high-performing students high-performing schools and the poor ZIP Codes. The best way to serve underserved communities, especially minority is allowing for school choice. So the parents have real options is to worsen. We have a lot of people's scores get nervous when I hear school choice. What is that mean that the public school.

I like that and they're all going away teacher. He's going to be decreased so we believe the a lot education. Keep in mind during the pandemic. A significant number of schools close entirely for support, disproportionate burden, particularly on lower middle-class families and poor families often lack resources not been for education. I would not be sitting here today I think of education gateway to the American dream open that gate wider for kids living wider for those folks and middle income Americans who are sandwiched. Think about taking care of their parents and their kids need access to a better occasion system sometimes it cannot. Why not give more parents choice is a way you can actually take care of people who are suffering in the lower income areas could really use choice as we emerge from the parents are realizing just what their students have been taught and honestly over the pandemic.

There were countless school districts that took that opportunity to revamp the curriculum there that they are teaching to their students and so now more than ever, parents are waking up to the reality they need to be making educational decisions. People really aren't. But always tries to our radio show which helps our nervous please write who are then indoctrinated with whatever they want influence teachers times seem to care more about their own agendas and safety and education of our children school systems. I am calling upon members of both parties pass in education that funds school choice for disadvantaged including millions of African-American and Latino children are part of education under Pres. Trump was in favor of school choice, but a variety of choices within that family should be free to choose the private charter or homes that is right for them.
