Jay Sekulow live in breaking news. Pres. Trump expands his list of potential Supreme Court nominees any calls on Joe Biden to do the same thing to the American people know talk about that more today on Jay Sekulow lot live from Washington DC Jay Sekulow apart from matters of war and peace. The nomination of a Supreme Court justice is the most important decision in American President can make phone lines open for your questions right now. Call 1-800-684-3110 by the end of my first term we will have confirmed a record number of federal judges.

Over 300, all of whom will faithfully uphold the Constitution as written and now your host Jordan secular Jay Sekulow like this Jordan secular, so we are going to go through that list that broke out yesterday afternoon, Pres. Trump adding 20 additional names to his initial Supreme Court list of those who he would choose from.

What if there is a Supreme Court vacancy during his term, and if he is reelected.

Of course, so being very transparent, giving every body as we talk about plenty of time to look at these names to go through their their their backgrounds… Not afraid of the other side having the time to go through their backgrounds as well is also calling on Joe Biden to do the same and by the way, that is, liberal groups calling for that. You know what though. I think Joe Biden Basic life which had to do something like this. Those names would end up being ads on their own because the people that they would pick would be so out of touch with the mainstream of the American people's thinking. You could literally probably run ads just about who he might pick to be on the Supreme Court. If you put a list out like that. But Pres. Trump's trying to start a new precedent that this isn't going to be a game of hide and seek. When it comes to Supreme Court nominees so notable on new additions to this list. Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas Sen. Tom cotton of Arkansas. You know he said immediately said I would take it and the first thing we need to do is overturn Roe versus Wade. This is a new world were living in when it comes to a potential Supreme Court nominees Josh Holly was offered. He said that's not probably gonna be his role.

He believes more about serving the public other than the judicial branch does of people there like Paul Clement and James house on the Fifth Circuit and don't forget, from the old list of people like Amy Barrett as well that that that list still lives as well.

Since, in addition, if you want another Joe Bynes list is gonna look like you want to know what it look like I just suggest between eight and 11 o'clock at night, turn on over to MSNBC and CNN and see who the legal commentators are that some seriously, that's his listeners on the solicitor Gen.'s on that milk. Hell, I mean that that you it's it's a stark difference of judicial philosophy that will become really self-evident. If in fact he wouldn't admit in output for Liz. I'm not so sure he will. The thing that I like Jordan. The most about this list is it's not just judges. It's not just in exile writes appellate judge others. There are plenty of judges is on the any but there's actually District Court that is nonlawyer judges on their workforce, which by the window. The concertina not reward items report but there's even a District Court judge, which I think would be a bit refreshing to have a sitting District Court judge actually sitting on the Supreme Court.

Nine states – which predicate I think would be great because we have too many people who have not been in the courtroom as judges before jury presiding over jury trials and actually sends defendants in criminal cases who actually preside over discovery disputes in civil cases and have the practical experience. I also noticed that he has indicated he is eventually going to appoint among those of candidates, Christopher Landau, who is the ambassador to Mexico so that not all of necessarily practicing lawyers or powers or incumbent judges on the court also noted Gregory Katz's who happens to be a Greek American am very proud of is on the DC circuit is an executive counsel's office who would be a very good point David and how big of an issue think it is politically is always an issue to conservatives, especially when it comes down to getting out the vote and so when it's this clear. He's the kind of people.

Donald Trump, but on the Supreme Court when vacancies come up, and they certainly will. If he is reelected, then it's a huge it's a huge motivator to the base to get out and vote. I think it's a great challenge to Joe Biden's as I said, Joe Biden had to put this list out watch out because you could run ads against Joe Biden with his list we write back. Ricker now or acting director of national intelligence, will be joining us live special advisor to the ACLJ going to miss that as well go to ACLJ.org got a brand-new piece of right now ACLJ.org challenges facing Americans for substantial time and are now free to sort constitutional rights are under attack more important than ever to stay with the American Center for Law and Justice for decades now ACLJ on the frontlines protecting your freedoms defending your rights and courts in Congress and in the public arena and we have an exceptional track record of success. A society can agree that the most vulnerable invoice. Is there any hope for that culture to survive. And that's exactly what you are saying when you stand with the American Center for Law and Justice, defendant the right to life, we've created a free powerful publication offering a panoramic view of the ACLJ's battle for the unborn gold mission like it will show you how you are personally publication includes a look at all major ACLJ cases were fighting for the rights of pro-life activist ramifications Roe V Wade, 40 years later Planned Parenthood's role in the and what Obama care means to the program life in many ways your membership is empowering the right question free copy of mission in life today online ACLJ/Jay Sekulow live joining us as soon as every couple a couple times a week on Jay Sekulow live I Ricker now. Special advisor financials in foreign policy, and again, former acting director of national intelligence in US ambassador to Germany can be joining us. As you know, but if you just kind of getting back into with Labor Day joining us every at about twice a week on the radio broadcast live in is also writing a piece for ACLJ.org exclusive for ACLJ.org each week as well. He is a special advisor to the ACLJ for national security and foreign policy. Ricker will talk about your new piece we just posted it@aclj.org and it's titled NT foot targets pro-life leader tell people about this. Yeah, look Jordan, thanks for really highlighting this.

This is, you know the situation. I think everybody needs to really look at go to and see what happened was a pro-life leader young guy who has been doing remarkable work. Some of the listeners probably have seen his work is been painting murals all around cities on the ground that say baby lives matter is Taylor Hanson and and this is a very serious situation because he was out in Portland watching China chronicled the the NT thought rioters and they somebody recognized him from Instagram from his local celebrity of you know celebrity nests pushing this pro-life message in cities and they passed around his Instagram picture and lo and behold by four guys jumped and beat him up and we got exclusive pictures there that show what happened to Taylor.

It's quite remarkable that in today's world, someone who's doing such great work for trying to get the younger generation to recognize that that abortion in the ninth month, for instance, is barbaric and this is something that that Taylor felt really compelled to do because he is watching Congress do these kind of borderline bills and he thought, you know, when I talked to my friend, who are you know twentysomething people they don't go for this. They're not down with this. They think that that it's barbaric as well and so I think that there's a whole new generation of people recognizing that we gotta have some sort of limits on Rick. I said that that this generation is I think the most pro-life generation in our lifetime on part of it is the parents, and pro-life part of it is they, the medical technology has made it undeniable that the left can argue that it's not a baby but when you look at groups like NT foot because that's in your article to as when you serve as the acting director of national intelligence signal to disclose anything. These groups are really dangerous and it these are not social protest movements, it's not. This is not civil disobedience that you saw with Dr. King and Operation Rescue in the pro-life movement.

This is really anarchy. Yeah, I try to do in the pieces is distinguished between the Great American principal of protesting an end. That's so unique to our country.

When you don't like something when you don't like a lot. You're allowed to go out and and assemble and protest against that and that's that's the whole idea of being an American. We have to protect that and I know that conservatives and people in the middle and people on the left all want to protect that right.

We also protecting that peaceful protest right. We have to be able to bifurcate the peaceful protests from the anarchy and NT thought is really crossed the line out to beat people up there out to to send a message of violence. They have been desecrating many of the federal buildings. It's really out of control and I know Bill Barr is focused on is trying to figure out where they're getting their money because clearly they're getting their money from someplace and you is your in your role previously as your acting director of national intelligence when you have a group like this that has sprouted up but it's grown and is grown in intensity in its organization and its capabilities to carry out these violent attacks. Obviously, like you said has a funding source.

It's has to be treated like a domestic terror organization. These examples like what happened to this pro-life leader Taylor Hanson just because he was noticed as you said it was probably some in the media, passed along this info to NT for that he was there so that that he was then beaten up and that yes they needed law enforcement needs to handle the on the ground at the moment situation.

This is like something needs to be done bigger like your tie with Atty. Gen. bar on a larger scale to shut this group down. There's no question I think were looking at the funding and were trying to figure that out as you guys know were were in this intense political atmosphere in this political circus of Washington DC where everything is politicized and I think that that Americans have to understand that Pres. Tromp, he's absolutely outraged by what's happening in some of the cities but we do have this philosophy in America that were not going to make one-size-fits-all rules from Washington DC.

You know what works in Seattle doesn't work in Tampa and so the President I've been in the Oval Office where he's really trying to figure out what's the balance in these are difficult questions, but the balance is trying to allow mayors and governors to to localize these issues and to have a little local flavor, but clearly we have several mayors and governors who are failing to be able to keep people safe. I think if you're in Portland or Seattle and you're in the suburbs and you're watching your largest city kind of meltdown your thinking is a coming to me next people are coming up to me and say it. Sitting next to me in the studio. Rick is 80, senior counsel for the ACLJ also has been a district attorney and a US attorney and I asked the standing and he just quickly because I got a question for up I want to parlay off what your mastery was local law enforcement is also being overwhelmed right now, it's impossible for local law enforcement to handle the situation that we find ourselves in local law enforcement is working 24 hour shifts why I spoke to two police detectives in Washington DC who say that their working night and day trying to cover this, that the city our nations capital and to preserve and protect law and order and out in the suburbs in the rural areas. Particularly, we are not able to handle other protests of the violence that is taking place and to the regular policing of the regular criminal activity, which by the way, doesn't take a vacation from engaging in criminal activities not during the times of the mob violence and protesters so Rick, when you look at the violence NT from these groups are causing, and as again is a former acting director of national intelligence. How does this impact our national security because it does divert attention thought about this week we Portland Pres. Tromp with. He's really cross these caliphate sees even really been there and ended the justice in your office at DNI really focused on the terrorism and receipt we sought. I mean a real dropping in international terrorism affecting United States, but boy, you know that there still cells out there and they're looking at this as a book and it doesn't create a vulnerability point for the cities. It's a great question because you know Donna caliphate were focused on has below, which is what I really tried to do in my short time. You gotta watch these domestic terrorists who are rising up and clearly their train there taken advantage of the political atmosphere we got the entire left that are pretending like they are just peaceful protesters and in its excuse making J it's excuse making for this rise of NT 5 and then you even got Congressman Jerry Nadler, like Jerry Nadler saying you know well this is this is all just smoke and mirrors.

It's not really real and teeth doesn't really have these type of tactics.

We see this and go to this piece on our site and look and see what kind of brutality.

These NT rioters start it's really outrageous, great piece on NT for great piece from the canal by weight Melanie on Facebook something God Rick Grenell is on the team at the ACLJ what an asset which is been the overwhelming, but this is the cool thing about having Rick on the team because Rick final question was is not about the article articles on the ACLJ.org will share that on social media right when the broadcasters over us and we always click Rick's interviews to seek and share those as well, folks with your friends and family is a big deal also internationally erected Arab League. The Palestinians failed to get the Arab League to condemn the Israel UAE accord. I thought that was a huge deal diplomatically here to let me also make a little news here that whole what I'm hearing rumblings is that Donald Trump will be nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize for another issue that he worked on and I hear that that's coming and it's it's going to be breaking soon so my fingers are crossed that that will actually happen, you know, these are both great results Rick. We appreciated one thing because you guys are talking about Supreme Court these many I'd like to have a a Rick renown nominee Patrick Bouma to my friend Patrick. It would be an amazing amazing Supreme Court judge is present is held as a I think Patrick like 42 days in the zone disappear like if you might forget it.

You're done.

It's a great lesson for this degree be a great candidate. Let me tell you this is a great list and be prepared if there's a vacancy who knows them in to be a year from now to be six months may never know what thanks for a dollars at Rick yeah and so folks every time. Got Rick we click this so you can share with your friends and family. Check out his new pieces, often ACLJ.org and T5 targets pro-life leader by Rick Grenell. Rick is always great to have you broadcast folks, we come back we'll get into this list a little bit deeper whose audit the potentials. The older list to reminders from there.

The new list as well and take your phone calls, 1-800-684-3110 that's 1-800-684-3110 tacos Jay Sekulow lot only when a society can agree that the most vulnerable invoice. Is there any hope for that culture to survive. And that's exactly what you are saying the American Center for Law and Justice, defendant the right to life, we've created a free powerful publication offering a panoramic view of the ACLJ's battle for the unborn is called mission will show you how you are personally publication includes all major ACLJ were fighting for the rights of pro-life activists ramifications. 40 years later there would Obama care means many ways your membership is empowering the right question mission in life today online/challenges facing Americans as time went on our freedom for constitutional rights are under attack more important than ever to consider for Law and Justice on the frontlines projecting your freedoms defending your rights and courts in Congress and in the public and we have an exceptional track record of success. But here's the bottom line we could not do our work without your support, we remain committed to protecting your religious and constitutional freedoms that remains our top priority, especially now during these challenging times. The American Center for Law and Justice is on your side, you're already a member. Thank you. Well, this is the perfect time to stand with us ACLJ.org where you can learn more about her life changing, member today ACLJ Jay Sekulow like this Jordan Sankyo regarding your phone calls 164 3110 important the judges art audit yeah so I obviously election-year.

The Supreme Court is usually very important to the base of both parties, especially the conservative conservative voters and what present trumpets try to do. I think even try to expand on that and make it even more transparent is to say, here is the list, and now we've added a 20 additional names. The list not hot, not hiding the ball. This is the kind of people.

These are the people I will choose now I'm see Dr. Phil 20 seats, but this is the list that I will be working from you, not hiding it from the media is not hiding it from you the voter. So how important is it to you knowing that express United States can get a couple more. At least we know that a couple more at least one 800 684 31 to if you want to talk to us and at 1-800-684-3110 inches above the bald Eagle program that will so we we we launched on Monday officially this summer to say yes bald Beagle which is a channel dedicated to teaching kids American history in a way that young kids can relate when you just saw the Sunday saw the promotion that we just did during the regular watch under social media platforms. The idea there is using puppetry there using all kinds the responses been really strong and what were trying to do now is gauge how much we can actually produce so when you support the bald Beagle.com and donate by lay, it's an ACLJ donation is being targeted for the bald Beagle project why we called bald Beagle.

You know the bald Eagle is the American's are American symbol I had I had a dog when I was a law school and a bagel who is a beagle, so they kind of put that all together and came up with all people kids love it. They tested with kids. He saw the promos it's doing great support.

I discovered a bald Beagle.com and donate me an email that went out yesterday on it and in the pilots up that the power get the promos up there.

You really should take a look at that advocate.

Watch it too because it really is. It's that engaging let me take some you learn from this, all of us were actually teach history why schools are trying to get rid of history but yet so I again this is a great asset. You and I can bald Beagle.com to check it out and if you donate their support. There, make sure that we know then your donations going to support that specifically cited there to begin production on these napping how to get also taste of what it's like at the website@baldbeagle.com. I want to play this at this is from Pres. Trump yesterday and his tongue met his original list and adding to the list by 11 my original list of potential justices include many of our nation's brightest legal mind such as Bill prior Amy Koning bear and Thomas Hardeman standing people like those distinguished individuals. The 20 editions. I am announcing today would be terrorists in the mold.

Justices Antonin Scalia and Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito.

I think that that's become the theory you don't need.

You never exactly know how it nominees can be want to make the court but what we called on we been pretty aggressive about taking that Josh Holly Tom cotton kind of approach which is no more of those and I can't really answer the question nominees because we you know that's how you end up with maybe a Roberts type people adjuster kind of dancing around question. You never clearly especially if they didn't serve the judiciary right. I think they need to answer more questions about that and were no longer going to accept that as an answer and pour resources into the defending them from whatever allegation the left comes up without the your right and I are you take a look and he mentioned that in that first list the names of Bill prior Amy Connie Barrett and Tom Harmon. These are judges that now have a long track record so there still relatively young, with a picture for long time but look at me and I'll take the religious liberty issue. As an example and you and I talked about this and there's been a couple cases that a bone of this report, we got one that right now is in the District Court are representing churches because they're still Disbanding Pl. in California where even if you can meet your sanctuary can hold you know a thousand people. You can have more than what was the number 2500 was it was 50 and the cipher they can literally hold 5000, and there's two things you can't do sing or tent. We thought that's absurd. We filed suit now. There's been two other cases that have gone to the Supreme Court, and both times. Any the Supreme Court by 5 to 4 vote rejected the religious liberty claims Alito, Thomas Boorse itch and Leo Thomas Boorse itch and Karen Cavanaugh voted to strike those provisions that is unconstitutional. John Roberts went with the more liberal wing of the court the next Supreme Court vacancy impacts cases like that directly. We've got to realize how significant the Supreme Court of the United States has become in the situation involving the culture of the since our society, the effects it has upon people. How we live, how we function what we do in everyday lives.

The Supreme Court of the United States has become a pivotal institution in American culture because it is the ultimate arbiter of what is constitutional and what is going to pass constitutional muster, and what is not, and therefore we've got to be very very careful who elect who we elect President because that Pres. will nominate people to the Supreme Court who will either be constitutional conservatives which is what we wanted was Josh Holly said he wanted even though he declined the senator from Missouri for consideration. But, nonetheless, that is, who were looking for and who we want to be on our court.

People who will be textual lists who will read the Constitution for what it says will read statues for what they say and will not gloss and put interpretations on them that are not there. I can't emphasize how important the Supreme Court of the United States has become as an institution in our American government in our American culture and society. It is the most important institution. There are no vacancies on the circuit courts of appeals. Right now the President has filled every single one of those vacancies and now he is looking for that and that and it district judges and even people who are not on benches refill the server having his bathroom confirmation vote set for today.

Then rubbing that's at the District Court level. I mean there lit literally because that there'd that there'sthe Circuit Court. So right now that there are three at the District Court level that would be a total number of confirmed up to 208 there's currently no Circuit Court vacancies for the first time and for decades in 40 years. No vacancies at this point in time.

About 1/3 of the nominees to the circuit courts, the United States are Trump nominees, not Republican. I know are Trump nominees. Imagine what it would be for more than four more years to be two thirds. Take a look at the Second Circuit Court of Appeals when the Second Circuit Court of Appeals. Traditionally among the most liberal courts, and thank you. It's not conservative court in the night movie. That was one conservative but yes it's good and I think the next one to go. I miss your singing over a complete overhaul now that stop of Joe Biden gets elected probably and probably stops right in its tracks, but it still very significant. What is Artie been accomplished. You can't take that away. Those are lifetime appointments and he's up for reelection. So that's were asking people are second-half are the broadcasts really is this issue, one that is driving you to the polls or there is it just there's so much unrest in the country you're sick of riots you're sick of NT for sick of promoting lawlessness on the left that you know this is one of the issues for the salon order issue, but you're going out to vote regardless and ended. No, it's not so targeted as it used to be to get people out to vote. Really what your thoughts on that 1-800-684-3110 that's 1-800-684-3110 we are live on the air remembers well I to share that new pieces up@aclj.org by our newest special advisor Rick Grenell.

It's called NT for target pro-life leader ensure that Facebook Twitter can email it out your friends and family. Great to do that as well. And remember, support the bald Eagle programming@baldbeagle.com will be right back Jay Sekulow live for decades. ACLJ is been on the frontline protecting your freedom is defending your rights in court in Congress and in the public arena. The American Center for Law and Justice is on your side.

If you're already a member thinking. If you're not well this is the perfect time to stand with us, ACLJ.org, where you can learn more about our life-changing work, member today ACLJ live from Washington DC Jay Sekulow and Jay Sekulow live silver type and of course prison trip yesterday announced expanded list of his potential Supreme Court pics if there vacancies on the Supreme Court. This expands the original list, which was announced in November 2017.

This list comes in yesterday's 20 additional names includes some well-known names people like Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas sinner Tom cotton of Arkansas Josh Holly Missouri sinner. He Artie said probably not likely the place for him as he likes to more about serving the people directly as a politician elected that way for wrinkles is a rake was clerk and he is someone who's I think will play a key role in the next confirmation battle because he is the one who I kinda said I agree with him and Tom cotton that enough is enough when it comes to these confirmations of abduction.

Answer the question Tom time came right out and said I'd take it and by the way my first hat I think our first has to be getting rid of that horrible precedent of Roe versus Wade and reversing that so it's a new world.

If present, Trump gets reelected, and these are the kind of people to get selected. That's not it on the list obsolete. You have a former US with her general good friend of ours Paul Clement I you and you go through the whole list if you want to James on the Fifth Circuit. No Franciscans at reformer STH with right meds just now former SG ended on the previous list you have people like Amy Cody Barrett you've got people like Bill Pryor as well for the 11th circuit Court of Appeals. So this is building on the first list and it's also a challenge to Joe Biden to show his cards. I'll show you my cards show your cards show the American people who you would put on the Supreme Court. Let me tell you why Joe Biden. I think it would be so scared to do that even though there liberal groups it would like him to because those people alone.

I think you could run ads against Joe Biden Kabbalah Harris just by using those people because they will be so out of touch with where would you go to what they've written.

The crazy stuff they've written it as law professors and is judges what you will see is they are so out of touch, not just would like Republican conservatives just mainstream middle America out of touch we do and and so I think he's good he's got will hide the ball that… Just pressured it has to it's interesting you said that because I know you want to cause 100 684-3110 a Carla Smith is joining us back in the studio against McKenna getting back type you like getting back close to normal here at our facilities were able to keep everybody sufficiently apartment able to bring the broadcasts west you serve in the military.

A lot of the issues the Supreme Court deals with end up impacting the military what you think of the list. So far I am very impressed with it and course being military on unbiased a little bit worse. Tom cotton not only is he a brilliant young guy. Harvard grad JD, but an army officer who even though he was jagged. It was under yet again that you know he was Jackie Jackie as yet.

That's the Judge Advocate Gen. Corps, the lawyers and military. He volunteered to go to Afghanistan. He didn't want to function as a Jag officer but as a line officer doing patrols. This guy is a sharp young man, and what a lot of people don't realize is he also clerk for Chief Justice John Roberts of the list is impressive.you mentioned Noel of Francisco clerk for Scalia you look at all of these people and they are constitutionalist there people that that they are there to say what the law means not to make the law and that is frightful to people on the left and I tell you what J I think the reason that probably Joe Biden will not release his potential judicial pics is the same reason.

His campaign won't let him do impromptu press briefing because they're afraid of the reaction of people to that lets tube either by your fruits shall you know that men and if Joe Biden were to come out with this list of Jordan's that it would be appalling to see that one of that list that the President Trump has indicated that he might choose from.

I want to call out specifically is Daniel Cameron who is the Atty. Gen. of the Commonwealth Rocky is a rising star in the Republican Party. I noticed him speaking at the Republican national convention. It was legal counsel to Mitch McConnell and he graduated from the University of Louisville undergraduate and law school bringing order excellent constitutionalist would be a great pick on the Supreme Court. Impressive.

Yet a lot of lot of folks here.

Here again, this is a supplement to the original listing at 20 additional names. Take your calls.

We come back 1-800-684-3110. Remember to support the production of fall being as we know so many kids doing this virtual learning we want to start helping assisting that I can learn about what fall being a Liz that the person never heard me say it involve the.com check it out supported there that support but it's a donation to the ACLJ as well. The challenges facing Americans for substantial time and are now free to start constitutional rights are under attack more important than ever to stay with the American Center for Law and Justice on the frontlines protecting your freedoms defending your rights in court in Congress and in the public arena and we have an exceptional track record of success.

But here's the bottom line we could not do more work without your support, we remain committed to protecting your religious and constitutional freedoms then remains our top priority, especially now during these challenging times. The American Center for Law and Justice is on your side, you're already a member. Thank you. If you're not well this is the perfect time to stand with us ACLJ.where you can learn more about her life changing, member today ACLJ only one. A society can agree that the most vulnerable invoice is, is there any hope for that culture to survive.

And that's exactly what you are saying when you stand with the American Center for Law and Justice, defendant the right to life, we've created a free and powerful publication offering a panoramic view of the ACLJ's battle for the unborn Gold edition life will show you how you are personally support the publication includes a look at all major ACLJ were fighting for the rights of pro-life activist ramifications 40 years later Planned Parenthood's role in the what Obama care means to discover the many ways your membership is empowering the right question for copy mission life today online/Jay Sekulow lie we are to your calls. It's a 2000 684-3110. I want to go right to the phones before calling in and out all morning also encourage you check out Rick are now using new special visor for national security and foreign policy ACLJ's been appearing on the broadcasts are about three weeks eyes could be on about twice a week and to please also be writing exclusive content@aclj.org each week and this week just posted as he was on with us his new piece which is NT for targets pro-life leader.

That's very interesting to get the perspective of a pro-life former cabinet member who was the acting director of national intelligence, and a former US ambassador and their perspective on NT for targeting the pro-life movement. So to have a special visor like that the ACLJ is excellent and to provide this kind of content to you. It ACLJ.org read it share with your friends and family on social media and check that out, but I wanted to go to the falls get a lot of calls coming in on the Supreme Court issue was go to Tom first in Ohio online to Tom. Welcome to Jay Sekulow live. Thank you so much for your calendar topic, I relitigate the case. I call gonfalon night that prevailed in married Baptist Kate circuit prevailed for one reason, a crop appointed judge wrote artificial for the lower level with Ray Carter appointed judge meant that the public has to understand that you don't bring the cases. I know you will notice you don't bring these cases. Unless you are right on the law and you have a compelling factual story to present but none of it matters if you don't have a receptive audience in the courtroom and so this election is, who had a call for shaping the future of this country and how will all gonna live, I can't. I can't think your story is in right on that yet. The District Court look at whether nominated, they go one way was the Circuit Court, you see how that that where they're coming from the go different way and writing their opinion and visit me can always predict them now but Andy what you want is to at least go in there now you got a fighting chance that the ACLJ we fought through and try to convince those liberal justices and and Sage and judges. It sometimes were successful, but the issue is that when you get to the Supreme Court level, especially with what presence talk about here we get to the sprinkler level. Unfortunately, on about every major case of social importance. The tightness in patent law case, but of social importance. I can tell you exactly where the liberal members recorder going to come down. It does not matter what the law is.

It doesn't matter what the precedent is they will figure out a way to get to what answer they want. I can't do that with a lot of the so-called conservatives. Some of that's good but I think some of the people are little bit sick up to you where we are sick of that. Another weird thing liberal justices have a have a view of what they want done in social engineering is what their ultimate goal is into engineering in a way that is with the liberal bent and so they're going to make that decision and then find the law or contort the law to meet the and that they are seeking to achieve. So in other words, if someone has sent on Facebook and I am reading the common I think a judge should be impartial on interpreting the law in all aspects significance of cause-and-effect interconnection between the law, people in society that is a very prescient and very good comment that was made by that person on Facebook, but it all has to be done within the context of the Constitution of the United States a document that was drafted in the 18th century, but which still exist today and is Justice Kalina says, and I think that what we want with a conservative justices read it as it was written. It is not a living breathing document that you can contort and interpret as you wish. That is our Constitution Art… The goal in Greek. That is what we live by and that is what we can die by if we don't really emphasize the fact that we want judges who live by that Constitution and the text of our statutes to Debbie and Texas you and talk to us on the air. 1-800-684-3110.

Our phone lines are open how important is the Supreme Court to you and how you cast your vote in the general election, and who you decide who to pick for President of the United States, give us a call. We have phone lines open 1-800-684-3110 Debbie welcome Jay Sekulow live on the air except been talking about going to court and well it takes a constitutional amendment to glisten FDR try to do that. He didn't like the makeup of the Supreme Court what's shaking his head, so he decided he was going and I think for additional seats maybe five to get the balance in his favor. That got terrible political reaction. So it really little to take a constitutional amendment. I think at this point to you to do that. The fact is that look the big legacy of any Pres. West is the Supreme Court fix absolutely out of all the things that the President of the United States does.

This is the most lasting of his task because these judges are appointed for life. The military's important national finance national security diplomatic relations. All of the things, but as the administrations change the emphasis on those various issues can change as well, but that the judges are there for life. What I find also interesting J with the previous quality attorney in Ohio and that is the judges who are appointed there more left of center are very predictable, we are almost never surprise, we know how they're going to rule every once in a while a constitutionalist judge will side with the liberals because that's what the law says, but you seldom ever see that go the other way and I think it's injured I was and she was question for Nancy was the beginning you got more campaign for us and that is always a big issue. Is it an issue when you got a pandemic learning.

Mastering this is the number one issue for the President was the pandemic and ice and at this place in an is what I said the pandemic is horrible as it is been, and it looks like things are going the right direction. God willing is going to be over with either a vaccine or something in the next.

Hopefully months or year.

These justices in a circle for decades now.

I think it's their short-term and long-term.

Short-term. Right now what's on the top top front of people's minds are cast their votes. Probably not going to be spring court nominees this year. I think on the short term, it's riots, lawlessness groups like NT for groups like black lives matter that are basically terrorist groups tearing the country apart as well because a group like black lives matter should be something we should all be to say yet we support that right but we can't because that's now a term of a group that's almost like a terror group and any early release criminal interactions and so you look at groups like NT for real antifascist yet were all antifascist. We live in United States of America. World War II is a good example of that and I and our anti-fascism but you can't say that anymore because of the connotations of that being a domestic terror group so you have people I think there wanted the economies always number one number two I think right now is good to be covariate mixed in with this unrest in our country, the lawlessness, all of me just yesterday, another police commissioner gone in a major city at music city after city or black and they're saying I cannot do my job. The state not be allowed to report that allow the police or streets. I'm done. And these are people who work hard to get to those positions as Commissioner and there every American in their giving it up. The sale of the Melbourne United is counterproductive to what they're trying to accomplish. I think they got to a point were no it's dangerous to be a police officer. They can't keep their police safe to keep the sheriff deputy state and are not allowed to do their jobs. You have the West has an police officers in your family and horse and chaplain to the police officer right. My son loves a police officer near Lanna Yami the lawlessness is Jordan says is is one of the key issues in this upcoming election because you mentioned the Afro-American chief that are resigning the American people are really really fed up with not only the lawlessness and the riots and the assaults that are done in the name of your freedom to demonstrate but also there fed up with the fact that that law officers, their hands are tied and that political leaders are actually by their action or inaction encouraging the lawlessness. I think that will be one of the key issues in the election coming up. I think he's actually right was it all ties to getting that's where the Supreme Court comes in. More so than ever now for social conservative voters Christian evangelical voters.

This is a big driving factor. It has been for decades and I think they really do like the fact that Pres. Trump would see list out so that they have time in organizations like ours have time to go through and say these are the people to be good and also by the way, it gives us time to say these words and you know that made the list, but I they would be on Mike, the top three had picked let's say put it that way so present. Trump does it that way for good and for ill. You know, just because you get listed as one of these potential pics doesn't mean your hundred percent actually gives conservative judicial groups like ours time to say I'd scratch that one. You know that's not what we would really get behind.

That's not what we put our resources behind and so he's willing to do that. I think it's much because a much safer issue as well. When you look at potential nominees will continue take your calls. We come back at 1-800-684-3110 people liked always right and Theodore were either view except about a Supreme Court mandate on the laws. I would not take it further by talk on radio every single day. Could you imagine pulling all those senators and 8080 8080 citizen Republican like Tom Patton, Josh Holly, baby, baby innovate, but to all. But again, the big question is, these are the ones who will end up there in present tense, reelected.

We have the list we know the names and I think that's great because we have time to research will be right back on Jay Sekulow live only when a society can agree that the most vulnerable invoice.

Is there any hope for that culture to survive. And that's exactly what you are saying when you stand with the American Center for Law and Justice, defendant right to life. We've created a free powerful publication offering a panoramic view of the ACLJ's battle for the unborn, called mission will show you how you are personally publication includes a look at all major ACLJ were fighting for the rights of pro-life activists ramifications.

40 years later Planned Parenthood's role in the what Obama care means to discover the many ways your membership is empowering the right question for mission life today online/challenges facing Americans as time went on freedom and constitutional rights are under attack more important than ever with the American Center for Law and Justice on the frontlines protecting your freedoms defending your rights in court in Congress and in the public and we have an exceptional track record of success.

Here's the bottom line we could not do more work without your support, we remain committed to protecting your religious and constitutional freedoms that remains our top priority, especially now during these challenging times. The American Center for Law and Justice is on your side, you're already a member. Thank you, are not well this is the perfect time to stand with us. ACLJ.org where you can learn more about her life changing, member today ACLJ Jay Sekulow like to make some calls and Facebook comments is so Chris and Suzette were to get your calls as soon but Lynn has a trick question. Facebook exit. She says a lot of people talk about bring term limits to the High Court you know that when the Constitution was written. People did not live to be 80 and 90 years old. 100 years old and in that capacity to be able to serve so it should that be changed.

I don't think so.

I the reason that you're supposed to that, the founder said life appointment was to be free from political influence that with the idea now, hasn't worked out. I'm not so sure. But the concept of right.

I don't think I change it by any other thoughts there in the Constitution says during good behavior.

In other words, as long as you you know, behave yourself and comport himself as a justice should you should have your thoughts influence and I and I don't believe in term limits for the Supreme Court, I think that you agree with Jay that we have a tradition in this country of life appointments and you get what you get. That's why the election of the President is so incredibly important as part of the balance of power to, and you want to completely independent judiciary related. I think if you were to talk about all about her living. This record it be like limiting it be like 30 years so something where it still very significant.

Like a minute all laminates almost like that's what I'm thinking more like my generation looks and says €85-€90 probably shouldn't be deciding rules about technology and a lot of them happen and they are. We had jumped so much that is not a lifetime of what it is until like it to like it's past your time really to be there at in-service and not appointing a single justice because that's what the role right now but I don't see that is like a limit like a term limit it's more of a retirement.

A military has a studio certain ages. You get to we cannot serve in this position any longer.

I could see that being is attractive to both sides of the aisle people in my generation is okay get to be with its 85 it's nine years old summer there it says okay that's when you've got to at least start that retirement process something like that.

But in would take a constitutional amendment so big a big change, either. Let's go to one that the phone calls as well. Chris in Nevada online one. Chris, welcome to Jay Sekulow live right near I think you I appreciate that the President put out an updated list of potential Supreme Court nominees, but by doing it now doesn't it. Also give the left lot of time to try and dig up dirt on the people. Whether that. Has any validity completely made up any doubt listed.

They will they will come up, they'll have time with nominations made to go after whatever nominee that is a go after the dirt remembered seeing it make the domination. It's a long period of time. In a sense is not that quick so they're always good to come up with something to oppose the neck to support any of these nominees. I think it's bold and brave to put the names out there saying bring it on left but also I'm doing this is a is a gift to those who are thinking about voting for me this is the kind of people I will point the they will come from this list from these names I will not surprise you, and their backgrounds will surprise you because I'm telling you who they are.

If you want to take the time to actually look and learn about the and so to the left. It's what are you hiding what are you afraid of Joe Biden in telling people who you might pick to be on the Supreme Court, and maybe help surprise us.

Maybe was present and he won't be but I would imagine that those people in the upcoming ads against voting for Joe Biden, and that may be the reason why they don't want to put out that kind of list for I think that the President talked about Job, I just refusal to do this by 10.

Joe Biden is refused to release his list. Perhaps because he knows the names are so extremely far left that they could never withstand public scrutiny or receive acceptance. He must release a list of justices for people to properly make a decision as to how they will vote. It is very important that he do so. You know you can say) remember him from the CNN thing on the present nasty thing is you are coming from you guys is for the times we nasty things about us most. Yes, that would be a good way to do it. Just look at people that say nasty things about us at the ACL. Jeremy and Jordan are in hard times acolyte.

Yes, so it may okay tell pre-Perera what's that there's another guy Ellie holding whatever his name is on CNN yet but there you go Lawrence tribe if it was 40 years younger.

His echo, but his acolyte his world.

And then of course you go to in the whole group of they from the ACLU they could choose from. And then, but I think ethic again if you look at these high profile once you Andrew Highsmith.

It's a fundraiser for Biden is a fundraiser for Biden is interesting because I'm reading all these books about the impeachment and about the mother report and you know is not in Andrew Wiseman barely mentioned that we are interested in knowing the black people and he was the running the show yeah was pulling the liberals absent, how can they pick it out today pick a Muller. They knew Helen was not competent. How did they pick him to do this. Yes it's interesting is interesting your Debian Facebook's and most important issue for the spring .9 states nominees how they interpret the Constitution in Republican sort of danced around this issue. I when I can ask you how you vote in a particular case with we never really to get a clear answer. Now somebody's like Toledo you had a clear record.

Thomas is a clear understanding that unapologetic and remember being a bill probably was up first Court of Appeals nomination.

He said what his position was yeah that's what I think people want to see now from the Supreme Court nominees. No more dancing no more. I can count on something, because, by the way Roe versus Wade is up for you right now it's I could be up for you right that moment your confirmed so you can use that anymore or if you're going to act that way. Fine.

Go ahead, but don't expect us groups like ours to spend the resources of our daughters and their time on radio defending you from accusations at all were not will let you go down. If that be the case because you are willing to fight the fight that were fighting so you want our resources to back your nomination you better answer the questions truthfully and if not we will let the left take you down because we know they can we know they will try take every one of you down to gets one of these positions. So if you fight the fight. That's why I might be safer with a Tom cotton Ted Cruz that world and then a lot of these others who we do know that I also know they come from the legal world and the legal and they are not from the they're not politicians that they've never been to the relief the people to the people remembered service. The people directly like that attitude to constituents.

I like the fact again of those kind of think Cody was yeah cotton all were Supreme Court clerks. We know was a solicitor general and no guessing and their young and so potentially they would be on the court for a long time. I think frankly is quite refreshing that some politicians they don't want people to know what they think or feel for fear they won't get elected President Trop is honest and open about this anything at all that on the table.

We think it should. When the President should do look the most important thing the children would be as present United States is in the pointer of Supreme Court nominations and then Supreme Court filling Supreme Court vacancies. Why because that's what's going to last. That is the part that is your legacy you think about the Earl what we call it the Earl Warren court. Don't we try we call it the Burger Court of the Rehnquist court those the things and you think about Eisenhower having appointed Earl Warren who really was governor of California and really didn't want but for political reasons. He appointed don't tell me that the Earl Warren court did not have a tremendous impact on American society because it did.

That's why Supreme Court nominees are so important and I applaud Pres. from propelling us who he will pick from rights of folks check out Rick rails knew of a poster ACLJade I will remember that exclusive content.
