Promise-Keeper

Daily bread would like to encourage you today with the reading titled promiscuity, which was written by Arthur Jackson, gripped by the gravity of the promises he was making to LaShawn. Today's Our Daily Bread devotional Scripture reading is from Hebrews chapter 6 verse 13 through 20.

When God made his promise to Abraham since there was no one greater for him to swear by. He swore by himself saying I will surely bless you and give you many descendents and so after waiting patiently. Abraham received what was promised. People swear by someone greater than themselves in the oath confirms what is said and puts it into all argument because God wanted to make the unchanging nature of his purpose very clear to the heirs of what was promised, he confirmed it with an oath.

God did this so that by two unchangeable things in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled to take hold of the hope set before us may be greatly encouraged. We have this hope is an anchor for the sole firm and secure it enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain where our forerunner Jesus has entered on our behalf. He has become a high priest for ever in the order of Melchizedek. Now let's pray. Dear Lord. It's during times of great testing and we were feeling immense pressure that we must make the choice to either uphold our integrity and valves or break them. Knowing that you set the highest standard and devotion to us, your children and we thank you for encouraging examples.
