Our Greatest Adventure: The Apollo Missions

On this episode of Our American Stories, when President John F. Kennedy declared at Rice University that we would put a man on the Moon by the end of the decade, the year was 1962 and, according to those in the know, America was 10 years behind the Soviet Union in terms of our capabilities to do so. Nevertheless, we managed to achieve that goal despite serious setbacks along the way.
