The following program is recorded content created by the Truth Network so is it over for Prime Minister Netanyahu and Israel stalk the line of fire with your host activist all the international speaker and theologian Dr. Michael Brown your voice of moral cultural and spiritual revolution Michael Brown was the director of the coalition of conscience, the president of fire school of Ministry of the line of fire valves by calling 866-34-TRUTH 866-34-TRUTH your job is Dr. Michael Brown thanks friends for joining us today on the line for this is Michael Brown. Welcome to the broadcast, it's thoroughly Jewish. There is that it means you've got questions, we've got answers, 866-34-TRUTH 866-34-TRUTH 87884 any Jewish related questions of any kind by all means give me a call 86634. We want to focus though on the elections in Israel there is a tremendous amount that's happened. I want to give you a recap and tell you where we are right now, many evangelical Christians just know if Prime Minister Netanyahu and he's kind of like the hero. He's the man in point of fact, he has served as prime minister longer than any other prime minister in Israel's history of term some years ago and then recently elected, reelected, reelected, and he is an incredible political campaigner and is an incredible politician and in terms of fighting for his political career in his life and he's done much good for Israel is help with Israel's stature in many ways around the world. He has worked to broker peace Accords. And of course when he comes to America and speaks in Congress, and he needs a hero.

He strong.

He's he's a great spokesman. Also, having studied in America, so he speaks English with a flawless American accent.

But while being an Israeli at the same time, but in point of fact, within Israel is not viewed the way evangelical Christians vehement America within Israel. He's a much more controversial figure. And just for the record, this not a big issue for Israelis is married three times, like Trump, their accusations of corruption and potential trials against him and what's happening is that even though Israel's go through four elections and appeared less than two years. Even though the recruit party has still gotten the majority of votes in the most recent election this premise, Netanyahu's party, and even though the overwhelming votes leaning to the right. The fact is, they could not form a coalition government. They could not get enough people together to stay with it on Yahoo because he has become so controversial and so divisive, so is he the best thing for Israel Rizzi unity government. The best thing so let me step back and just go through the last elections with you. All right, remember Israel you vote for parties, not people. Even though there reportedly was like Netanyahu and Likud still vote for parties. That's how it works so hundred 20 seats in the Knesset, you need a majority 61 seats because there are so many parties that run nobody comes anywhere near a majority which means you have to form a coalition.

You have to make a deal with some others see good people of like heart that you have a coalition government uses. So how does it work. Your vote is a block quote know what it means is you form the government in each of you gets a piece that's important to I want to be over this aspect of the economy.

I want to be over. The suspect of the military. I want to be over this aspect of education I want to be over this aspect of of internationalist what whatever the that the specifics are that okay so your party gets to do this in your party gets to do this and and it means and I've use this analogy, let's say that your kids you want play baseball in the street and and you got baseball bat put euros weight out old baseball have cycle ripped up with another kid. He's a really good player but he's got a bunch of bats and really good baseballs she have to invite him in. So he can, pick the team is going to be on. He does not think of the player because he's got the goods here so you all have these coalition deals where you have a party with only few votes, but they're the ones that make a final coalition work so they have to be given certain benefits okay so here's how things worked out in terms of both getting for the last elections there is parties Likud. You can see got the majority 30, the largest single block that a 30 votes. That's less than half of what they need to form a coalition. So New Hope got 60 amino got seven religious sinus got six United Torah Judaism got seven shots got nine Israel be 10 got seven blue-and-white got eight a fatigue at 17 merits got six labor got seven joint list got six and Rahm.for Ron being what ends up being a very very important part of this equation this with 4C sets the minimum threshold of you yet get enough votes to enforce its affiliate of the few 321 the new look and it was many parties are here thinking that Republican, Democrat, independent maybe you are libertarian you got all these different groups in any of many others that didn't even get on the map made like another 10 didn't get on the map because they didn't get enough votes to get four seats right so raw is an Islamist party. It's it's an Islamic party and they end up playing a key role as you'll see in a moment so let's look back at this again. Likud 30 votes so they were trying to form a coalition with United Torah Judaism was seven seconds 37 Schauss, which is not that gives 46 such a good group 4661 now United Torah, Judaism, and Schauss are ultra Orthodox Jewish parties so they will have very specific goals, they will want to make sure that the government continues to underwrite them so their men can can study and pray all day their men will not have to serve in the military, and they will walk very specific roles in ministry of interior, so that they can control aspects of Jewish life and and restrict messianic Jews coming into the country and make life hard for us in accusing the country so that's part of the key coalition so there were enough others leaning towards the right you Mina Naftali Bennett.

That's a right wing nationalist party that you work religious sinus at the man you know may be disrobe a Taino which is is is nationalist right and and with a lot of Russian you know you should have been able to form a coalition because merits there. There there left labor left Ron with our party would be left but most would be right.

And yet Netanyahu could only get 60 he could not form a coalition government is just the people and work with him. Some said if Likud had a different leader, then we form a coalition and Likud strength is been Netanyahu over these years.

So anyway that's where things stood is unable to form a coalition. So now you go to the next party that had the next biggest numbers of votes in education teach Hebrew there's a futures that's centrist rightly okay and by the way we talk in Israel about left center right as a whole is really Jews or more to the right that American Jews but that means in terms of national security and in dealings with the Palestinians and things like that it does it does not mean primarily say debate about abortion and or gay rights because that's that's hardly debated in Israel just liberal society. In that regard, the very religious are against these things, but those are not the subjects of debate so it's it's a much more diverse setting there and in that regard on by the way, others that the tongue I was looking to form a coalition with with so far right-leaning that that people consider them extremist said. Now the superior right wing extremist government so what happened is that your Pete who is the leader of geisha teed, he worked to form a very unlikely coalition. So here's the breakdown you're ready to go through this. This is the current government that is being proposed in the time now still try to undermine it by saying to people within these different parties you cannot do this.

You've got to step back and still trying to undermine this going forward and saying that this could be blood on your hands.

That's what some of the others are saying this is going too far to the left is can undermine security but let's let's look at the state parties now make up the new Israeli coalition. So geisha teed 17. Again, this is centrist right labor, which used to be labor Likud. Those were the two big parties like Republican Democrat.

The two big parties of labors shrunk down to almost nothing. Recent elections labor with with seven seats, and labor is is a centerleft okay then merits succeeds merits would be the furthest to the left and in terms of Israeli Jews very much to the left. Okay then blue-and-white. So the whole couple Lavonne that's the Israeli flag right blue-and-white that's a centrist right then you Mina which is is right and a and nationalist Rahm. That's the Islamist party then disrobe a Taino so center-right but strongly Russian based in New Hope, which is a centrist centrist right so it's little bit more right-leaning than left-leaning. But you do have merits you have labor and the need to have Rahm and you Mina. This was not tell the Bennett and he was very close with Netanyahu was closely associated with him over the years and he made very clear in campaigning.

We will never work with these leftist parties we will never form a government with these leftist leftist parties and yet the way it's set up that the two prime ministers even be alternating after two years as can be. Bennett and this can be a pizza summer give you Mina seven seats in the sum these numbers work out differently or to take the chart out for those who are watching will have a chart appear to try to sort everything out but but here's here's the big deal you have someone who's party got six or seven seats.

That's it. And yet he is going to serve as Prime Minister for two years and then got your P of geisha teed, researchers say How will that happen. The this is this down the list you got a bunch of parties with similar numbers of votes or 12 with even more how is it that he gets up that well because he's right wing and help form the coalition but here's what Bennett said so. As I look at this time. I have two reactions one is.

This may be exactly what Israel needs of voices can be fifth elections with the trauma of the war with Hamas, with everything else going on with constant threats from Iran having to do with the deal with the new by demonstrated administration without really having a strongly functioning fully functioning government but he wants fifth round of elections just a couple years.

It's crazy. So this could be just what's needed to bring healing to the wounds and to bring substance semblance of what we gotta work together is reality will work together. The flipside is could speak a dangerous compromise song come back. Use a little bit more and share a bit of what left of the Bennett said in his speech that he gave what was I think on Sunday. If you have any Jewish lady? Give me a call 866-34-TRUTH. The line of fire with your host Dr. Michael Brown voice of moral cultural and spiritual revolution.

Here again is Dr. Michael Brown my friends for joining us fire still use there is this that tells you 866-34-TRUTH and I doing a background on the video that we posted confronting the HUD law hysteria schedule background to that before we go too long in the show today so back to the Israeli elections not only Bennett began a man that would've been closely associated with Netanyahu over the years. Some of that would clearly form a coalition government with the Netanyahu that would certainly not form a coalition government with merits. The left-leaning is really party or Rahm the Islamist party this be the first time that an Arab party. Now, it would have been an active role in a coalition government as opposed to just members of the Knesset, they can vote like everyone else, which should mean that certain concessions would be given to them in the process right.

This is the first so not only Bennett made reference to Jewish tradition is the 2000 years ago we we were destroyed because of our divisions and and there's no more time for division we have to have healing so they were noble words and good words when your same look word a divider diverse country with varied viewpoints and backgrounds and just have to figure a way to get along together and work together for the overall good nation so everybody's going to have to make some compromise somewhere.

I was on the phone with the journalist today that called for my response to what happened with the elections in a significant you wonder America.

What lessons were learned from us because role polarized the minutes it's if there if they're the right similar to the rule of mine hand of the left civilian rule that iron had them is just it seems to be we was gonna pull the nation one way or the other in his that ultimately was going to work and just obvious questions come up so anyway, here's the Jewish tradition and in the Talmud states that the first temple was destroyed and the Jewish people in exile for seven years and the principal sensor idolatry and injustice and immorality that the second tub was destroyed even a tumbling time suited lay in ruins for hundreds of years now almost 2000's of the time and asked the question while since we did have idolatry and injustice and morality the same way during the second Temple time to begin the first. Why has this destruction in exile been so so so much longer and the answer is see nothing baseless hatred and it goes on to tell the story about factions with Jewish family groups and so on and because of that that was reflective of baseless hatred and they finesse what brought the discussion up when I looked at Alexa Gillett was baseless hatred basis.

Hatred rejecting the Messiah Jesus said that though he may cause snotty non-baseless hatred, but in Jewish tradition, obviously didn't see it that way and he was he was pointing back to that and then saying look if if I am to lead that I'm gonna pray.

Like Solomon for heart of wisdom. In the first Kings. The third chapter.

So many good things about the speech. However, you could say well we voted those of us who voted for his party. Aminah never in a million years voted for him thinking maybe part of unity government with these other groups so it's betrayal. So that's why I look at this ethically and wonder, is this a sign of a political leader who says we have to put our differences aside for the good of the country were all Israelis religious to secular Jews, Arabs, Muslims, the whole group here we are, let's figure out a way to work together or or is this a matter of political compromise is just a matter of someone who was offered a pot of gold.

You get the service Prime Minister that you have a tiny number.

Votes overall right less than one well under 1/10 of of the of the total and and you you get to be king maker has outwork so I don't know what to make of it.

I'm hopeful that he could be for good and even point a way forward for the nation and on the flipside, the ultra-Orthodox very upset over this because they are excluded and they know that those that are elected now or those of the formless government will be much less sympathetic to their requests and desires. On the other hand, their numbers ultra-Orthodox keep growing because of a high birth rate much higher than the population of Israel as a whole. So has I can work out over the years which way things could go in my mind Israel is going to go further and further to the right over the years primarily because of ultra-Orthodox birthrates and presence. We shall see. We shall see. So I I am not discouraged over this, like all knowledge. The worst thing he could have hope. But I really don't know yet what to make of it. So I want to go to a write up about this from Joel Rosenberg on his all Israel.com website is got a bunch of provocative questions in the headline to his article is Netanyahu really finished some of the lonely seven seas really going to become prime minister.

The Muslim brotherhood party really agreed to join Israel's government.

If this new government rises to power. Is that good or bad.

So reporting from United Arab Emirates said it was strange. I'll admit to be in an Arab country, while the biggest day in Israeli politics and generation unfolded back home. Indeed, yesterday was the Super Bowl was really politics, the Knesset voted to elect a new president, Isaac booty Herzog for seven-year term.

Meanwhile, the leaders of the opposition reform the current president, Reuven Rivlin's a president is more of a figurehead role that they are formed in the government after four rounds of elections in two years.

No state budget and ongoing political chaos and confusion. Yet, you will appeal enough to the Bennett only code Rivlin minutes before their mandate expired. Admit that so they're scrambling let everyone know I still use know you said yeah I know I get that note can just imagine was going on.

The wrangling is like I got I got what you need, you can move forward without me in makes the final decisions and so that's that's opposite was going on. So was only after Dave intensifies a brutal negotiations between eight opposition parties were very little in common with each other, except that they want to remove Netanyahu from power. Also on the $10 allies were doing everything they possibly could to stop or at least slow down their opponents from driving them out of power through without the fireworks over Trenton Biden over the past year were intense. That's nothing compared to Israeli politics which are truly a bloodsport was off it mean getting questions from telcos over the world and we try to answer some of them as best as I can.

First question Joel Rosenberg tackles is Benjamin Bibi Netanyahu really finished answer no, not yet.

Let's be honest, is in grave danger. But remember, Netanyahu was a shrewd political cat will become the longest-serving prime minister in the modern history of Israel without knowing how to engage in full metal jacket political combat or that having a few tricks up your sleeve at this point, I would not count Bibi out. Yes, many Israelis hate him, but he still the most popular politician in Israel as part of the coolest of the biggest, with 30 seats, most double that of his main rival in regular PVC for tea party of 17 seats. Keep in mind the coalition that Lapine and Bennett are formed as a hodgepodge of right of hodgepodge of right wing centrist and left-wing parties almost nothing, because this was an error party that is never participated in Israeli government before these are not people are used to working with. So some of them deeply dispositive his ideologies, so this whole thing could blow apart at any moment. That's what it's on Yahoo and his allies will work towards the verbal Decision to keep trying to undermine good people within these different parties to the backout of their support to undermine the whole thing. Question is simple, with only seven seats in the Knesset, Naftali Bennett really going to become the prime minister of Israel answer.

Maybe Leslie Bennett is the Aminah party only have seven seas, but actually five of his colleagues want to join his government one says he will vote against it. Never in Israel. History has the leader of party was so few C7 become premier reason can happen is that Lapine was 17 seats knows he cannot form a government without Bennett's help Lapine to centrist also said Israel's become a center-right country.

Politically, the sea could not depend only on centrist and left-wing parties douse Netanyahu and bring about change. He urgently needed right-wing parties. That's why Bennett became widely known as the king maker during the recent campaign because everyone realize Lapine could never become king without Bennett's help. Another kinematic maker is poised to become the king to persuade Bennett to abandon Bibi in his right wing allies Lapine offer Bennett the opportunity to become prime minister. For the first two years. The term of the P would serve as Foreign Minister than the two will switch roles after two years you only in Israel right Bennett would prefer to form a right-wing government with updates on Yahoo despite his immense and growing frustrations with Netanyahu, but Netanyahu could not persuade enough parties to join him to form an actual government so Bennett decided to take Lapine's offer to prevent the country from being forced into a fifth-round of elections question the Muslim brotherhood party Muslim brotherhood responsible for a lot of Islamic radicalism around the world. The Muslim brotherhood party really just agreed to join Israeli government answer yes raw almonds is an Islamist party of Arab citizens of Israel, led by monster Abbas. It only has four seats, the Knesset, but yes it is aligned with the Muslim brotherhood yet is all Israel news has reported Abbas destroying a very different path for his party. He has denounced our violence against Jews and Jewish violence against Arabs.

He is urging Israeli Arabs to become active in Israeli politics in order to get more funding private citizen education, more police protection to fight crime in our cities and so on. Not all Israeli Arabs agree with the direction Abbas is going. Indeed, most of his fellow error. Knesset members are actively opposed to what he's doing but on Wednesday night just minutes before the deadline he signed on the dotted line agreed to help form the next Israeli government to remove Netanyahu from power and make the right wing Naftali Bennett, the prime minister in this experiment work. Abbas may be fully committed to the smooth but on the other three members of his party will they hold up under intense media and public pressure from Arabs who believe they should remain in opposition to every sinus government and those who cannot stand Bennett saying he's more right-wing than BB. We shall see Joel Rosenberg at Centauri can read it on all Israel.com he's been sending these latest updates to make sure I am following the latest news. In this perspective does is reword stakeholder got him.

We shall see. For me, my perspective, it could actually be positive and necessary, but we shall see. For the Expo line of fire with your host Dr. Michael Brown get into the line of fire now by calling 866-34-TRUTH here again is Dr. Michael Brown locomotive and clearly Jewish Thursday, this is Michael Brown. This voice is not friend Marty gets is some wonderful anointed messianic Jewish worship leader, psalmist songwriters love ministry together with them over the years and we have the opportunities hate we have something very rare. On Thursday, which is open phone lines so if you want to call with any Jewish related question of any kind. 866-34-TRUTH 87884 okay switching from Israeli elections in the government and where things are going couple years back I get a call on the show. One day woman asked me is it true that under the no hide laws. Seven. Most of know what that Jews are going to start beheading Christians around the world, was one of the craziest things of heard my life and I've heard a lot of crazy things and I reacted with incredulity and II said there is is more chance of Santa Claus's coming on your chimney Christmas than that happening will. Next thing I'm getting people contacting us the very offended Brown.

How could you just say that and look at this YouTube channel is highly respected and it's got hundreds of thousands of subscribers and and and they're saying the same thing in teaching the same thing thinking one of where is this coming from what neurosis is this, and the cost of the seven laws of no is simply that traditional Judaism believes that God gave the tour. All the 613 commandments which were which are then explicated through Jewish tradition, God gave that to Jewish people. So Jews are required to keep all the commandments of the Torah, but the Gentile world is not dense, how old is not required to keep the dietary laws.

The Gentile world is not required to keep the seventh day Sabbath. The Gentile world is not required to keep all the purity laws rather Gentile world is required to keep the so-called seven laws of no which rabbinic tradition deduces from a command to Adam in Genesis 2 and God's commands to Noah in Genesis 9 know some of its clearly there in the text and others is by rabbinic exegesis, and these are commands not to not to commit idolatry not to blaspheme steel not to murder not to commit sexual sin. Specifically, adultery and others to establish courts of justice, and then there's law against eating that the limb of a living animal.

So these are considered to be seven basic laws and if a Gentile keeps them there considered righteous so that that's basically it. In recent decades, there has been more of a movement to spread this teaching to the Gentile world and for Judaism to save the rest are all hate you don't have to keep all the commands of the Torah, but Gentiles keep the seven and then you have people who were former Christians who just decided based on their own study that Christianity was an idolatrous religion that it taught a false view of God and exalted Jesus into God state and they should going to be Christians. They did want to convert to Judaism so they became what he called no hides no hide with tiny overall numbers tiny the people who identify as no hides so they actively say we keep the $7000 and we learn from Jewish tradition, but we haven't converted to Judaism and are responsible to keep all the 613 commandments of MM one Jewish movement in particular has sought to to spread the no hide laws around the world and then you have Muslim leaders Christian leaders Jewish leaders saying hey we all agree on the seven principles, so why not altogether sated that we see things is an expression of our faves as well as fundamentals of our faith as well.

So let's agree with this together so US presidents have said yes. We affirm these Vatican suggests referring this is a Wednesday idolatry thing commit well there's been a debate in Jewish history as to whether Christianity should be considered idolatrous or not, because after all it says God is the Trinity and Jesus is God and in among modern Jews today the majority would say no. No Christian is not adultery. For a Jew.

For some, like me, they say it is before Gentile. It's acceptable and then there are others suspicious of traditional views that would still say it's idolatry. So this is the. The logic of the thing okay of this notable hysteria hears here is that the logic I say logic with quotes that around the world people are siding on see. We affirm this we agree with this thinking that Christianity is acceptable and is not idolatrous but not certain point using Satan. Nope. Actually it is idolatrous and you sign on the line to support these so you BB had obviously beyond preposterous beyond ridiculous.

Beyond the impossible scenario in the short get to the time of the antichrist is beheading people, but he's in a claim to be God himself. So the symbols of dogs that can be the issue in the Islamic world. Radical Muslims already beheading Christians and have done so for centuries/ready happening. Okay as I can from Jews obviously so as I've dialogue with people and hold to this, try to figure out where is the logic. How could this ever happen.

It's it's been totally convoluted when I went to the websites ready. My Christian anti-Semitism book to try to see where they coming from it. This describes literally crazy stuff to be so outlandish, so out there is a no-no.

I've seen videos were orthodox rabbis say that the penalty for breaking syllables know the penalty for 20 idolatry is death by decapitation yet number one this is theoretical. In other words, nowhere in the world have Jews ever enforce this or tried to enforce this and in modern Israel today. There is not a thought or in the right religious community. We should start beheading Christians out there this summer thought of that, and I that I said the other day talking to someone then then Martians are going to come to earth to start beheading mice okay this is just non-realities about what it says and what it's all theoretical about what will happen in the messianic age so in Jewish tradition when the Messiah rules the world and brings peace to the earth that the entire Jewish world will keep all the commandments what happened to a Jew who said no I'm gonna violate the Sabbath you be put to death like under the Torah or having to a Gentile is evolving to worship an idol be put to death. That's the theoretical part of the here and now is as nothing to do with any more than the Jewish greenies putting Jews to death. Now, for violating the Sabbath. Okay it is is completely mythical, so one of the websites that that I went after just references is spreading crazy information of the. The owner of that site founder that's I contacted us and wanted to debate me on the issues is on background as interesting as a form of Jehovah's Witnesses now Hindu, but he said is that always interviews and debated rabbis in whatever and read thousands of articles wanted to challenge what I wrote. So I thought okay will have on the air, so we know the grimacing life, but in this case we had to prerecord because of his work schedules were happy to do if he found the time it worked really do it and to my shock once we got into the into the interview was he was signals can be Gentiles decapitated one another. Gentiles house.

It can happen while the rabbis can influence them to do. When I asked them for a quote over the actual source was he had no such thing. When I sit on the concert was what some no hide conference of Gentile former Christians Assam consumers with rabbis and was he says that even issue the battle when we got to one segment number of internal records for radio. It's really bad radio when when some try to talk over he saw us try to get information out can get information out from him it's okay so have to stop stop will take a break come back and I want you to give information. As you know, I wrote the book your challenging the wrote the book on I wrote the book is this myth that Jews your start beheading Christians of no hide laws which as I said, more likely, have Santa Claus coming down through your chimney or Martians, interested to be had mice. It's absurd that preposterous and it's an anti-Semitic ally. It's a another libel against the Jewish people at a couple people were upset because when when I couldn't get my guests to come forward with information to deserts to stop were done here. Dr. Braun you think this person is my part. What product what probably I'm trying to do be helpful to buy listeners and viewers so we only got to second segment ended their my team reviewed it and said hey let's let's go ahead and post this so it's on the YouTube channel. You can see it and asked her to reminisce get your brain on YouTube but watch what happens when we come back from the break on that to me now me on that actual show.

It's confronting no hide law hysteria is not as you watch some try to do a show that such as can be to watch but to listen to the battle that I had in terms of try to get information from this gentleman and not getting him to interrupt talk over and interested hate. I wrote certain things refuting a myth.

Now you now your vacuuming change in the store so this is some of what were dealing with friends. This is some of the madness that's out there in his work after the stent. If you have Bible Christian anti-Semitism. You know it. I have quote after quote after quote after quote from professing Christians questioning whether I'm really a follower of Jesus because of exposed the high law hysteria, claiming that I'm secretly working for the rabbinic community and that I'm part of try to Judaize the church.

I mean, crazy accusations. This is what happens when people drink anti-Semitic coolie is what happens when they buy into lies about the Jewish people. I actually reached out to a Jewish leader who is actively working worldwide an Orthodox Jew to promote no hide laws as a way to unite Jews, Christians and Muslims are the common rally is actually written in a major book on the subject. One of the chapters he wrote. I reached out to him and said do you have any idea where this stuff is coming from and some of the staring these claims could no I never heard that's crazy. Then an ultra Orthodox rabbi who is part of the very movement that helps spread seven laws of Noah to the Gentile world source ultrasonics rabbi part of that group and movement. He contacts me some hearing all this crazy stuff about seven laws, nor do you know where people are getting this from so the people within a site where it is coming from.

We've never heard of such a thing. I so want, and only get to read the comments on YouTube for videos, but I decided to look at some of these summits will need if you are well read on.

It will tell me what I'm missing similar missing please send this got relevant literature.

Duggan please tell me what I'm missing that our pride, it's a matter of trying to truth out to people. If I have someone propagating dangerous error and I can't get them to give a single clear quote back your claims say on the configurator time with all right since we come back and go straight to the folks of it's the light a fire with your host activist, author, international speaker and theologian Dr. Michael Brown voice of more cultural and spiritual revolution get into the line of fire now by calling 86643 here again is Dr. Michael Brown. We are scheduled to Israel and extra grumbling and more. We were scheduled to go last May would be made of of 2020. And no, I'm sorry Lee from early March scheduled to go and then things got pushed back because covertly about 100 people signed up for the trip. This got pushed back and scolded that I got pushed back again so we had to schedule three different times and then we decide in a rather than pushing for fall of this year so much uncertainty that few months back we decided to just push it to March of next year so will be announcing that more is as we see her way more clearly with with doors open for travel in Israel and what vaccine requirements are not going to be a vaccination. So what will sort that out will be announcing it, and I reference Bible Christian anti-Semitism adjusting on February so if you don't have it it it is really eye-opening in terms of what's happening today in the church in the world of real eye-opener than we dig into the the verses that are misinterpreted scripturally. We dig into the importance of open synagogue's role and purpose for Israel of the errors of replacement theology and an the significance of Jesus coming back to Jerusalem.

Why Jerusalem of God is finished with Israel as a nation. All right 866-34-TRUTH we go to the phone. Starting with George in Jacksonville, Florida. Walking to the line of fire doing good are you talking straight to the phone sir, your old yet that better. That's much better.

Yeah okay got held up a little waked up a little bit what Bob Altman about the problem and what Dr. Brown I want to tell your really appreciate your ministry and over the past few months. Your broadcasters been become like a daily staple for being so when you're not on the air. Really, I'm coming.

It will bummed out about it, but really appreciate you very much. My question for you Dr. is been on John chapter 2. You know the very familiar with the youth. The changes water into wine and the question I've got for you really have a look-alike Jewish culture and specifically help in women be called in verse four were his mother said, `Mercury's mom told a dental having or want and I'm waiting for the new international version eating the woman why do you involve me the short plot, my hour has not yet come, I guess. Can you help me understand how to put the phone and in its proper context.

Yeah it's it's actually an unusual saying.

In other words it's it's not a saying that if you just understood Jewish background. It makes sense.

Let's do many things like that when you understand the ancient near Eastern background of the Greco-Roman background with Jewish background. Then light goes on makes perfect sense that works. This is one of those that still a little bit unusual.

To my knowledge, this would not have been the typical way for a Jewish man to address his his mother and there is some there is so it seems a little drawing when we read it to my knowledge it was meant to be a little jarring not disrespectful but more more of you are outside of your role, you don't understand who I am or what I'm going to do. There is there's a bit of a a a pushback with an inner understanding of okay you just do whatever he says. You do whatever he says not. Either way, undergone a total tension here. I had friends are and who were missionaries in in Guatemala decades ago and Guatemala's as an increasing evangelical Christian population, but has been a very strong Catholic nation for many years and they were trying to get the Catholics to focus on the words of Jesus, and they knew that these Catholics really revered Mary and honored Mary so they had a gospel tract that accorded Mary saying whatever he says do it and then the inside of the track that was the cover the inside of the track was all the words of Jesus, but that was there. That was their way to do so. This is the total tension so let's say I was I was trying to to research this right and no fruit for Jewish background. So that the two main places that I would immediately go and in my personal library I would go to David Stearns of Jewish New Testament commentary right so dear Stearns, Jewish New Testament commentary. I go to John. The second chapter and here's his comment mother why should that concern me or you literally what to you and what to me and to you woman.

This translates into Greek and Hebrew idiom found the number of times in the Tanakh. The revival were thereby reminded of the Hebraic roots necessary to proper understanding of the New Testament the meaning of the city of his flexible renderings include what we have in common why you involve me.

You must not tell me what to do while turned to me. Your concern is not mine of the Greek gourmet means woman but saying good day to a woman in Greek is not nearly as cold and addresses woman in English that's Rev. mother of nebulous issues answering total no matter how translated puts distance between him and his mother Miriam was he do this.

Is he disobeying the commandment to honor his father and mother as opponents of the gospel. Suppose the answer comes with the following remark my time living in my hour hasn't come yet so that the. The point is that yes there is Jewish background, but it still is a little jarring and reading in English is still going to be the right outcome.

My time is not yet come, there's there's something different here. So as as Yeshua says you Hammons gospel often has issues speaking about his time in education is a reason.

Here the reasons that Yeshua's mother had been informed. Even before he was born that he was meant for greatness. He heard others prophesy about them. She is observed is development of a model is with understanding and she had known that future generations would bless her. She was comment is meant to aid her in the transition from seeing him as her child to seeing him as her Lord to keep her from undue pride indicate that he is Lord subtly determines when the link up in human affairs, etc. so as I said there is that putting a distance and it's helping her to recognize who her son is an and even that reminder of his destiny. Even his destiny to die and again so it's it is an interesting sent for sure. The other place I would go by the way is if just in terms of one simple volume. I would go to Craig Keener and his his Bible background commentary and he says here woman was a respectful address like ma'am but hardly customary for one's mother aside, said Jesus statement here establishes polite distance though. What have I to do with you is usually a harsh mental expression, biblical language, because Jesus our John refers especially to the cross. Here Jesus is saying once I begin doing miracles. I begin the road to the cross so again, preparing her for what's coming, so you ultimately honored her by basically doing what she wanted it out in it yet. If you want right right right. He he does honor her ultimately but is one of these things is this okay were now starting this. This setting where it's a different relationship than it's been up until now is remember he hasn't got miracles yet just beginning his ministry. Hey George, thank you for your question. By the way, on the days will not live on the radio said this on the disposal of small videos.

We get so many are cousins.

We will have to go through withdrawal over the weekend. God bless George.

I appreciated and let's go to Laura in Nashville, Tennessee. Welcome to the line of fire. You're welcome my relationship with art.we are not marriage. I think that are taking on a lot of thought that kosher burning deal get rid of that call. Just don't take it as we got limited time. Go ahead. Not sure about anything talking a couple of other law went into the ER invite me as I began selecting a orthodox cutie had been and how how that would look like as a believer unless you have a very specific call from God to do it and you do not do it out of obligation that is calling it's can be a dangerous tracking error that will rob you of your first love for Jesus. That will put you in a situation where total observance is more important than worship and adoration of the son of God and where you will then not stop there. The be yet another tradition and another tradition and another tradition as if being a Gentile Christian was somehow second class so it has to be a specific calling.

If the gentleman you are in relationship with says no it is an obligation by God that every Jew keeps all these even messianic Jews and the Gentile Christian should as well that I would say there's a serious theological error if it's a matter of calling. We are called to minister to the Orthodox community and therefore to live an authentic way among them, and that you would undergo some type of conversion to messianic Judaism by calling like a Roos fine. Otherwise, Paul's very explicit read through first Corinthians chapter 7 begin with. 1656 versus in Paul says if you say, called circumcised. Don't become uncircumcised, sick, uncircumcised, don't become circumcised.

I have a major, major caution and I would ask that I preached Jesus really loved worship him as Jesus would have to change a lot if you change all that, but be very careful. Another program powered by the Truth Network
