First off, we have Keith Lansky very well done and he is with personhood North Carolina with this tremendously exciting announcement.

If you haven't heard it the first Nations of North Carolina County is nations first become a sanctuary for the pre-born yet right here in our area that is correct.

Yadkin County. I mean one newsflash that is the first County. Now there's been some of the cities that have correct, but this is the first full-blown County that is declared that they are a sanctuary correct County for the pre-born and how exciting for those of us who spend a lot of time in Yadkin County in which I happen to have a lot of friends there and and certainly having worked in daily County all those years I'm very familiar with the people up there in Yadkin and oh baby, they did.

They pulled it off. I mean how awesome and that's is so exciting really talk about that and then we have Lou Carico who is a good friend been on many times but back with Winston-Salem rescue mission because it is big news. Their anniversary banquet. Actually there 52nd anniversary banquet renewing our foundation to be the Benton convention Center October 8 and get this, he's going to be leaving that Austin cavernous Army not that's that's that's just beyond exciting that Lucas.

Austin is such a wonderful man. Yes, actually. Austin also volunteers is a very faithful volunteer teaches a once a week and I think this program you can bill does he really guess I'm even thought about Alf Akers being in Yadkin Camellia love claiming them. So what what connections God just just put I was telling Lou. I hadn't put together. I knew he was to be on the show today but I did a whole show on the Christian card I show I'm rescuing and then guess what I got the rescue mission and and you know the connection to bad it's it's it's it's phenomenal but as you know, it's kingdom pursuits. So you gotta get ready for Robbie's riddle. So, speaking of born, you may not know this.

That is something that cannot be performed.

Medical abortion, Yadkin County and this would be a stark contrast to our current state law which says that it is legal.

So we put a stake in the ground saying when he crossed Yadkin River very proud about that right now is very pleased with ourselves. It's it's good news for our county.

It's great news for for our state because this is something is not to stop Yadkin County. We fully intend to move to a number of other locations within the state. In the and hopefully in very short order will have in an uprising in the entire portion of territory, more territory than not, that will say the same thing thing we don't believe that we change our culture when you fall kingdom law instead of manslaughter. This kind of a shame.

Right now the North Carolina is one of only 19 states were it's legal to kill children who survived an abortion is crazy here in the Bible Belt, and yet in Yadkin bill that was the law until two weeks ago and it's the law currently throughout our state. So were expecting the real number people who make similar similar proclamation in their inner cities in their towns and their counties as well and so we we posted there it kingdom pursuits personhood North Carolina but I haven't got the link. I'm maybe your listeners are listeners don't make they may have heard of the rescue mission, but they not may not know so much about affect you can't explain the program. Alf Akers is one of three programs we have in its settings on a farm, we will find out there.

Basically they're going to discipleship and also helping them with their addictions and and for those of us who know Bob Young well like me.

His son received Christ out there was baptized and clearly had a chance at everlasting life. When it was really a kind of a critical time and and so Alf Akers this is even eat you know you think about the right to life and and and and clearly the value of life their ego and everlasting life. When you know drugs and all can rob that from so many and so many families and and so you know that's a big part of what you guys do with the rescue mission is really not just helping the victim of all that the entire family. I love to hear those testimonies when you hear someone we come back we got Joel was ingrained. Absolutely and and so the nice thing is you have to get the people you can fill right that I meet the city's sanctuary because you got the whole count we we got the whole ball of wax.

My chest brag about that among the alliance members to self and the beauty is, as I think about it is you at some point if we don't get a new Supreme Court when I get the thing over some point, a whole state could jump up and say that's correct that correct.

This is where we stand, and the people of our state feel this way and if there want their elected officials to get elected, they need to understand that this is a premarket prerequisite to us voting for you exactly and that needs to be something here loud and clear. I'll be honest, I will share the. The entire story will have enough time but we started the other direction. We started in Raleigh talking to our representative saying will you do this, we gently sponsor a personhood bill for us and telling it went nowhere and that was really sad to me. You know that I'm looking at G and in the middle of the Bible Belt, we can't get a representative to even sponsor it, let alone vote for it and it was just as I wait till about 10 counties. That's correct. Our 15 counties are sanctuary counties and all the sudden representatives from those counties because they all have one in our like well this is this is where we were standing.

I pray that it becomes a litmus test, at least for Yadkin County.

She was something she wasn't Canaanite for sure main and and all the shenanigans does not give me hope for my family little bit that we can do that while I hear the music.

Generally speaking, are getting comes from my donors, individuals, businesses, and churches. I keep the ministry going SELA again, those monies that so we get through donations become the thrift store, go right back in the programs and and also similar to what goodwill does is they they imply they get employment through another refurbishing of this stuff and all that but a big part of what the guys do that. I've seen when there at the rescue mission is is working in the thrift store and going and pick them out and stuff so it provides. When you make that call to say she got the stuff that you know was too big for me to carry down the rescue mission. Can you pick it up because Trucks yes and also you been able to point the thrift store also provides a way for the men to do work therapy to their kinda getting used to the average life in a showing up for work. Working alongside a coworkers coming under supervisor so it's it's part of our therapy in part about you helping the men you know from so speaking of top to bottom.

Yes means and not goodwill at all, but from my perspective.

You know if if I wanted a man in that situation to go learn how to work next to somebody to learn how to work next to somebody that I'm praying next to every morning when I'm eating breakfast with the men and worshiping God with them and developing those relationships. Because from my experience in talking to guys or the been through the rescue mission. One of the huge things that happens to them as they become a community and part of that community is that they work together they become a church. Yes you and they develop relationships that carry them through the program. The number going in military and I will get a buddy system and that they help one of the program, but also those relationships continue after they leave the rescue mission and that you support one another masters huge because can you imagine trying to come out of something like that in your life without a community eight you know because you know that's that's some of the magic from my standpoint, the God put into that equation of the way whoever God gave the wisdom to figure out how to do rescue mission work where you've got the thrift stores a gigantic component of that and and and and that happens only because people are willing to call and say hey you know I I know it might be easier to get goodwill to come get this stuff, but here it's going to go to something that I can go to this banquet coming up on October 8 Ryan I can go here. What God has done. As a result of me giving that bed and you guys have one of the only bed cookers and all of the country. I understand you, actually. Unfortunately, we did lose on that cooker, I've only recently and so one. Yet we did in a small fire and put out a commission and we are trying to replace that right now so the way that so that's part of why we need the people to come to you yet because here's the deal. I do not know this but in order to to sell a used bed. It's got a big conduct which to actually sanitize but you know essentially it's cooked right and that and so year your bed cooker man wait, wait, we can do some work to get that back up because you know that's just another place for the man can work.

And and and do that kind of stuff so the other neat connection that I make is Yadkin County has so many things like that going on. They do as a result of the churches and what God's doing and Yadkin County. Can you share a little bit of a great group of churches and yet County a great group of commissioners to the world were very proud of our our community right now and and there's a lot of padding on the back going there on there right now, but it starts with what we feel is a moral fiber starts at the church that comes from a great group of pastors who take on things like this. They don't sit around and turn a blind eye to what needs to be done to the support that comes to 1/2 acres. Especially last year. The outpouring went on a lot of new churches came on, and Yadkin County to begin to support that important work it's going on because the end of the day we know none of us benefit with his great opioid crisis going on and none of us benefit with with all these particular young men out on the streets, strung out in in a different state of mind it's that's a whole thing.

So as a community. What you gonna do about it. Putting your money where your mouth is getting involved with something like rescue mission and especially off acres is just tremendous work were very glad that there in our intercounty nine you might be in Charlotte today are enrolling in Richmond but believe me when I say there's rescue me. Beautiful rescue mission Durham very very exciting.

I've been to the one that's in Raleigh I mean Richmond to remember the name of it is really really calls on several blocks and Emmett the director.

There is quite a colorful character but anyway I just you know every it's amazing how God enlists these Bulldogs right in and and and they organize these programs of these thrift stores, and always different things and then we get a chance to see you know the fruit of of you know what God's doing and and it's it's like wow when you think about it. If you you've got the child that was saved by the pre-born right now.

You saved them and they didn't have an abortion. But now, my goodness, you get your take care Mike Moriah come together community has to come together and so you know the sale and pregnancy thing. We had them on last week.

Great and and what's going to come around this this mom who was in a crisis pregnancy yet you know there were some I got email last week about something that was set on the show that I thought about all week is just beautiful out you know we are talking about, there's no such thing as an unplanned pregnancy, God planned every single one of you know, just leaves completely to what you guys are doing. Some some crazy charismatic out in California was the was was yielded enough to to the Lord to our to share the gospel with my parents a number years ago and all always thank God for that encounter.

Somebody was added at a dinner party and they took the time to share the gospel with my parents.

I was a very young boy at the time and our eyes were opened. Light came in and my goodness, I wish array could meet my left Paris for take my mom.

She's 76 now and she is in love with Jesus. Now, more so than she was. Then she she flipped her lid if you will and she is never gone back to me insane.

It's in California know they're here North Carolina whole families here wonderful, wonderful and blue you you had a a Catholic background as well. So what happened during the military. What would happen. I was in the Air Force and I was stationed in Vienna, Italy, and my supervisor share the gospel with me at the Lord had been trying to get my attention. I ran from Arizona to New Jersey and Italy and the Lord was still right there and down over period of time. I ask questions I want to be answered but he was patient with me and on June 2, 1988. That's the date that I believe I was saved and I just got on my knees and cried out to God for forgiveness and told him I believe in his son Jesus, and to forgive me and save me and do something with my life.

I never imagined I would end up at a rescue mission and when summer is North Carolina and being use of God in this way and it's interesting to me.

Wait, wait, we all are rescue here right now. May we all surrendered at some point in time to sit you know what we can't, we can do this on our way really can't II think God break the world that way. The new that you know there's been some point, robberies can hit his knees and and and and it's going to require him giving up his own will, his own time. His own things and and that's kinda cool how he God kinda comes into your life and you end up with somebody that's a bulldog in Yadkin County or somebody that's an executive director at the Winston-Salem rescue Mission and and we're allowed to see really as we step into the adventure as God takes our passion and uses it to build the kingdom that we get to see. Wow, look at this I got to see that I can't believe I just saw that happen. I may not know how did I miss this and what can I do because they're going to be lives, literally like Keith, we believe that yes absolutely. Not just in our county.

But in our counties again. People hear the story there ripples that go out on these things all across the country and exactly more counties lead to more United States like which who knows where all that goes.

But then there's all the lives the rescue mission that one person that you counseled Lou, who knows how many generations of brokenness are being, you know, given people a new opportunity. It's really a beautiful thing. I was think about the Pacific Garden rescue mission where I had read Billy Sunday was saved and course most of us probably know what Billy Sunday when I do the greatest American evangelists and got say the rescue mission of the way I understand, and do so you never know right you know what these men are doing.

You know I I'd love the Pacific card.

I mean, they're the ones that do the show unshackled. I did not know. I mean that that show was just awesome. You got admit that's that's real radio right there is your genius you know is just like at the really Billy Sunday would Pacific Garden Mission.
