This is Darren Kuhn with the masculine podcast research the ancient paths to find ways that God brings light into a dark world and help set men free from the struggles that we all face on a day-to-day basis.

Your chosen Truth Network podcast is starting in just a few seconds. Enjoy it, share it, but most of all, thank you for listening and for choosing The Truth Podcast Network. This is good Truth Network kingdom pursuits here from ordinary people instilled with an extraordinary passion together we explore the stories of men and women who take what they love and let God turn their passion into the kingdom pursuits now live from the truth. Your host Robbie Gilmore. We have an amazing different show. I'm going where I have really never gone before, so this should be. This should be interesting. I'm actually very excited to hear where it goes but I'm an open up doors. I hadn't opened up before but before do that I should tell you is I messed up in a Christian cargo so that can happen that I was supposed to say this during the Christian card.

I shall bow on-site now that today at 1 o'clock. The cure is coming out very special episode with Amy Coppola's remember was that show it so amazing Amanda special guest Dr. Hoffman and their expanding on you know how to hold onto our sanity in the pandemic and in Dr. Hoffman's really special guest and they're excited. I'm excited about that show so excited actually aim is to be able to call in at the end of kingdom pursuits and kinda share what's going on with so last or actually yesterday morning we did a devotion that the that the Truth Network which are so so wonderful to be back in full swing. Now that we had better hand and leading those here back where this and and yesterday morning we were praying about what's going on in Minneapolis and when we did one of the employees here are one of our staff. All the sudden you know almost went to tears as is. He's a black man of talking about that, based on the events of Minneapolis. He had to have the talk with his son and the course. I was looking at and what does that mean you have to have the talk with your son and he said it means that I have to share with them how dangerous it is to be a black man in the presence in the presence of a police officer. Your life is literally can be at risk, and you don't know they might be the nicest guy I know and they might be the real ID idea of a policeman, but you don't know where they necessarily stand and they have authority over you and so you have to be on your guard constantly and you can never go anywhere where there police officers, were you not on your guard, and I know y'all don't understand that but it breaks our hearts. And if you wonder why list is going on. This kind of what's going on with that. So along those lines. We have just signed up today. One of them didn't always get tired by that all but actually has a very wonderful ministry to help people with employment.

He actually Don Crosby with global behavior, which it kinda fits in with this Don but you know actually what what Don does is help people find good fits when it comes to employees on their you know essentially well I'll let you explain it. Don Young here with you again in quite a while, but the whole what we do is really connecting the behaviors behaviors of someone so they can really help be having a fulfilled life and life is so short and I think one of things that so many of us question is our purpose in life. Connecting the dots of our purpose with her heart with her walk with the Lord and any career shall discount what we do and it's exactly which to and it's really really cool. They really help people kinda see some things about their own personality traits and those kind of things which actually does sit in kind of with what to be talking about today as well with Gordon, tries name sling I've had in mind before I should know it. Is it clinging Schmidt absolutely got it on the first try out but I had practice the last time you're on, but Gordon, you have a whole way of looking at this from a moral perspective, which is absolutely beautiful and I'm really interested in your input today, as well as Don's and you know how Don allows people to take their glory and use it to build the kingdom meet you in your own way are kind of adding God's glory into the equation and help us see you know what with what would that look like morally former Navy chaplain and a former state legislator and I'm very compassionate toward the victims of crime. In any case you notice specially for George Floyd and his family who I believe were murdered in the streets of Minneapolis by apparently racist police officer Derek Sheldon is now been arrested on third-degree murder charges and manslaughter charges by the county attorney Derek Minneapolis and we pray for justice.

We pray that nobody is ever mistreated by the police. We pray that everybody obeys the law and the irony of this is that because one policeman disobeyed the law. That's an oxymoron rate.

The policeman are supposed to enforce the law not disobey the law. Now everyone thinks they can disobey the law. Riots breaking out. You see people burning down or looting target in the auto parts store and the police station itself and spreading to other cities like to be in Colorado Springs but Denver is been under fire with people in the streets and gunshots below the spirit of lawlessness began as a spark in Minneapolis and now lawlessness is creating victims all over America can see we were loaded for bear today. I am kingdom pursuits and actually I took time off, but I find it you know it's coming right along these lines, because Don actually I've had them on years ago and I know Don pretty well that he he is all about finding around tape around whole kind of thing, but this has to do with where's your sweet spot and what is it that you love to do so in spite of the fact that this is a very heavy-duty topic today right. I got your compelled to think I just have to be me. You know I gotta be me and so if you know I've got a make a little bit light of all this and so you know, speaking of race, if you knew this but both and that once I once owned to us, but I rented them. The other eye was the lesser of two ovals really didn't think I was on track. As you know, one good turn deserves another setback. I may even write my autobiography and also heard this the other day. The horse races. They all had shorts on that were just too small for them.

So it was painfully tight race.

You know this Don, but here's here's a rule that you can live by. Never raise silkworms in a line Don and I always end up in a tie is tied.

That's what happens with Phil anyway so the end of all that actually is and always will get to a actual Bible today.

I have one along those lines so when King Solomon played the race.

He said not so fast. He actually said the race go to the Swift workbook in the Bible, would you find that the race doesn't go to the Swift 866-34-TRUTH 87884. You get a chance to win we will hope your call in 866-34-TRUTH 87884 and if they do, the pursuit this loaded is loaded so you call us at 86487884 and tell us when King Solomon played the race card said not so fast. The race doesn't go to the Swift workbook of the Bible is that it 866-34-TRUTH 87884 we got so much more with nonprofit, welcome back to where he takes your and uses it to build the kingdom of man were talking building the kingdom behaviorally today on kingdom pursuits become Don Crosby with global behavior and Gordon clinging Schmidt with the Minneapolis race writing and prejudice from a moral perspective so Don you know I do and I think Gordon as well. It might might throw this question to both of you that I think we can all agree in them. Sure everybody on staff. Truth Network would agree that that what happened with the policeman was just absolutely crazy wrong and what happens with the writing looks like it's crazy wrong, but in the middle of all that here at truth broadcasting. I imagine it at companies around the world. There are white and black employees and black people that I'm working with. Their hearts are ripped by these things. There there there clearly facing things that I really have never faced and don't even know how to think about that. So my question really isn't in the middle of that and it's a very sincere question is how can I love the people that I'm around well and understand because how you know Don, you're all about you. Somebody coming into their glory in and working in their sweet spot. But if they're brokenhearted in there and they're upset by the this situation going on around them know how can we put her arm around him.

It is just awkward subject extremely deep know you are thinking about one of the project. Louisiana felt and I go into work with inmates and here I am five 1075 pounds clean-cut golf shirt and image of being busted in shackles from another award and they've all taken our skin and my microfiche work within my reentry reentering society and you look at these guys are just brokenhearted and you see the emptiness in her eyes so I think really one of the ways to answer that communicating your art art art art Christlike love people here.

I start one universal language that everybody has the bike on top because it uncovers generational curses from way back and is a subject that we could talk on prolonged crying, but behaviorally it's fascinating because people you know you are thinking but behaviorally is how you express your anger can be predictable and how you present your anger so fascinating passing topic so I'm really glad you know and Gordon same question.

Well, I think the way we show compassion for people who are victims of crime is to listen to them and to minister to them and to support them and if they go through the court process. A lot of times crime victims will have to testify or have to support their friends who are testifying in a different case than their own, but I think the black community has been victimized in this particular case when Derek show, then put his neck put his knee on the neck of George Floyd and killed him. You know it's something that's outrageous and it's something that deserves outrage and and we know it is white people who have not faced that kind of racial injustice as we listen to their voices and feel their outreach with them and then you know advocate for appropriate measures of justice to better train police officers to better screen police officers.

I understand this, Derek. Children cop has had 18 complaints and to two disciplinary actions against him in the past you know some people don't need to be police officers. Some people don't need to be right now I want to go back on that court not want to go back to something you said which I think is really really helpful. I think Don was kinda same the same thing but to give the name. It's called the insanity of God is a book that was written by a man that was you know working in Somalia with these people that were dying of starvation and they were there was no money, no food, no water, no anything.

And so they thought that the way to meet these people's need was to bring in the food bring in the water.

Bring in the whatever it is you know but what they discovered was what the people desperately needed to do was to tell their story and to's to sit there and listen, you know, spoke to the heart and not and I hadn't even now I know that because I did the eye, but I'm sit there thinking while Gordon that's that's really helpful. I mean like just ask hi Howard how are you feeling numbing tell me what you're experiencing. You know what is this feel like you know I have another friend.

I just recently discovered, was arrested on some horrible charges only go into that and I emailed him this was a little disappointed that had let me know that and his email back.

He said light Robbie every friend I have his turn and run away and and now this is a Christian friend, and often I you know people to get incarcerated.

When the Christians that's a scary thing like man if I just need to hear what's going on in your life you know and and so I love that and Don, you know, as I did that fit into the picture when you're working on those in my mates as well will absolutely yeah Gordon. Ironically, just last week I was contacted by the large city to participate in a bid for use by the Sheriff's Department or understanding of police officers dispatch what you're looking for more psychologists to get into the psychology of personality which which is which is a misfit.

Where you need to have an understanding behavior and I completely agree that there are some people that are certain positions of unquestioned that maybe they shouldn't end up meeting at the heart for maybe temperament is just too strong to impulsive book would have but to get into these organizations and to assist them is like trying to break into Fort Knox is very difficult to get into the law-enforcement to prove that you can help just shock the shakeup that they need to realize that think they need help and wow I'm even thought about that Donna man is brilliant that wow if we could do a better job of screening police officers. They would never hit the street, and we could get in the questions along these lines in understanding the personalities better before we ever end up not just against black people against prejudice of any kind, you could find some. Unlike Muslims are in whatever it was that you know you don't want that guy is a policeman.

I quite a policeman. My 30 years of experience working with companies, people raise your children.

My book in support and predictability, and each time with the policeman that I sense that Oracle propelled access distress was absolutely shattered and the sales faction was absolutely nonexistent and I felt so sorry for this guy that has to be a public servant, but emotionally he is just yes no return and this now that's I couldn't agree with you more Don I was wondering Gordon. I mean, you see that as well. That obviously not only are we now looking at her black people wondering if there safe around the placement and replacement is looking over his shoulder. Don everybody thinks I'm a guy, well armed forces.

I worn the uniform. I respect her men and women in uniform, especially those in blue who are charged now with policing the streets and tempering down.

Hopefully the riots are the firebombings of the that the violence the gunshot. We read about in Denver at the state capital.

The spirit of lawlessness to the demon and and when it gets inside of one person. Then you get inside another person, and pretty soon you have 10 people in 100 people to thousand people exercising lawlessness and selfishness.

And just because someone has offended you to give you the right to go around and offend others that everyone ought to just take a step back, renounce the demon renounce the lawlessness and get back to the law and order society where police themselves follow the law which was not done in this case, and without that kind of justice there cannot be peace breaks and see we got so much more common and I'm shocked that nobody knew which the Bible, King Solomon played the race card by saying a not so fast race to swift you can call in when 866-34-TRUTH 7884 have so much more come up with Don and welcome back to pursuits where we hear how God thinks your passion and uses it to build the kingdom.

They were talking about behavior and we got Don Crosby Gordon here to talk about you know what's going on in Minneapolis but also how do you know the whole work behavior, finding the right person for the right job. All those kind of things but first up we got rid letters on the line American tellers you know when King Solomon played the race card. He said not so fast. This phrase doesn't go to the Swift let book of the Bible is that in lessee.

First up we got Sandy is in Charlotte but rich in Greensboro. If she gets answer right to stay on the line. I want to get your information, I want to hear what you have to say is also don't hang up. If she said it gets answer right sincerely in Charlotte, you're on the kingdom pursuits good morning. So what you think you got it on the first go right here exactly right. That's fantastic your winter Sandy, by all means and that you find that fascinating that you know I thought I might trick somebody makes a proverb for the Ecclesiastes you know this perfect and I'm curious when when you think about the situation. Sandy going on in Minneapolis can you come to get me what you're thinking about how their thing going on the block and I have talking to him on night and that helically because the bulk to client down there in an area that it is really heartbreaking to see that so many people down because they had escape to forgiveness so they can end forgiveness and that they're making a bad collation were found that it it really that context to pray especially for Ken that he shared that the night before had a couple of good friends. That is, that there where they were living (Darren everything found within their including their beloved little dog will people are getting very very heartening damage during this that Cindy, how wonderful is it that you there. See, defendants have something we talked about that just have an ear to listen as you know how we talked about an hour and thanks for calling to check on you can call every night if you want to wow thank St. Sandy thank you so much for sharing that is courageous. God bless you. Thanks for calling today and for women and one up which Beckham holds about thinking get your information so we got rich is in Greensboro. He was an essay Ecclesiastes. I bet he was know that as well so go back to Gordon and Don and somebody's got up. Maybe see if it is must be Gordon comes Donna you still with me okay Gordon I think you got your funds given us a lot of feedback or some may need to call you back in, or whatever, but I'll just go it to you with the question I was thing about first is you know Gordon mentioned that we know about the lawlessness in the spirit of lawlessness. What a neat thing met with that that is that we can pray against this particular spirit that I lose Don down to, but that's okay so get Don back in a minute. I was Gordon so I got that going on with his phone. Gordon can hear me okay well I'll just talk to myself and my thought was that hopefully Don's listing somewhere. My thought was that is, that was a really neat insight that we can pray against the spirit of lawlessness, lawlessness, but the real thing.

I have to check my own so we just can't control anybody else's behavior, but I can control mine and one of things are becoming more and more aware of and in my life is the difference tween blessing and cursing. So even I may not say something to the people Minneapolis that I met for four their behavior even alike not saying anything to the police officer as I'm mad at his behavior. You know you when you start to get mad at someone else's behavior that is this cursing aspect to it and you know it's interesting how may times God gives you that you know throughout the Old Testament.

Sam, you can bring a cursing or you can be a blessing. And so somewhere is somebody that's partly in my view, allowing more of this spirit of lawlessness because when we begin cursing.

People all of a sudden were given. Satan authority right consider Satan's got authority then were allowing that spirit of lawlessness to come in because of our behavior, our anger over the situation kind opens the door and one of your thoughts if you heard any that Don is her struggle with the phones. What portion of it is that captured me see if I can give a Reader's Digest version since we have within our own behavior is only persons behavior. I know I can control and I'm pretty bad at that one week around but I can try to control my own ability to cursor to blast, but if I get angry and I even though I may not say anything. I am still in my own way, giving Satan access through my curses to allow the spirit of lawlessness and other bad things to come in because I am actually cursing people in the midst of all this yellow we know that we are spiritual realities and situation like this, simply opens up the Avenue for people to react and react different temperament and the different styles still diluting all these things are just simply inappropriate to try to doesn't doesn't fix the problem just to the situations.

It is actually very embarrassing for the entire city of representing right now but now is just, you know, I think we got a couple different topics going on here. We've got you behavior is how people react so we see the difference of the of the looting and destruction as being actually just probably an excuse for people that want to exercise their their their hatred. Another minute less get Gordon in Cincinnati said Gordon to Jim a chance to hear any of what we're talking about know But I did find a Bible verse that is relevant to the discussion.

Ecclesiastes 911.

I have seen something else under the sun the race is not to the swift of the battle to the strong come to the Y well the brilliance but time and chance happen to them all. What is my price. Section section downfalls is a service that allows people to really if someone's needing to understand their their date much better for her family or someone going for improving their careers. The behavior site is so important to the family component for personal development and family development, as well as the corporate side in mind we start the podcast and from the radio show some behavior to some bigger dot-coms of podcast and then on Don Crosby.net is a copy of his more information about my book but what you do. Yeah Robbie a lot of moving part of London with. Behavior take away from this show is well Gordon, I love the insight that we can pray against the spirit of lawlessness.

We also think about how we can bless those people are so deceived, and you know even the guidance of the original perpetrator but then all the other ones Gordon, how would you suggest we pray will start I can offer a prayer if you want to do that return to you in the middle of the Lord you are a good lawgiver and you are the spirit of love teaches us to love our neighbor and to endure injustice even to turn the other cheek, but to prevail well with everyone involved with the victim as we stand with them injustice.
