The Bible says an interesting story comes here that in verse one of chapter 27 Isaac is on his deathbed, basically any calls and Esau's oldest one he was close to any cities all below before I dive you to go out give me some venison and cook it and make it just like you know I like it and Esau said okay so we headed out to the woods to do that in something interesting happened. Notice if you would verse one and it came to pass that when Isaac was old and his eyes were dim, so that he could not see, he called Esau his eldest son sit and have my son and he said and and behold, here in Miami said, behold, now I am old. I know not the day of my death. Now therefore take. I pray the thy weapons by quivering by borrowing go out to the field and take me some venison make me savory meat, such as I love and bring it to me, that I may eat that my soul may bless the before I die.

That last blessing. That blessing that Esau deserves. He was the firstborn verse five and Rebecca heard when Isaac spake to Esau's son. Mom listened in heard what was going on and Esau went to the field. The hunt for venison and to bring it and Rebecca spake unto Jacob, her son, saying, behold, I heard thy father speak of Esau thy brother St. me venison make me savory meat that I may eat and blessing before the Lord before my death. Now therefore, my son, obey my voice. According to that which I command the go now to the flock, fetch me from Vince to good kids of the goats and I will make them savory meat for thy father, such as 11, and thou shalt bring it alive father that he may eat that he may bless the before his death, and Jacob said Rebecca, his mother, behold, Esau my brother is an hairy man and I am a smooth man, my father, peradventure will fill me in. I shall see him as a deceiver and Jacob was by the way, and I shall bring a curse upon me, and not a blessing. And his mother setting him up on me be thy cars.

My son only obey my voice and go fetch me them any written fetched and brought them to his mother and his mother made savory meat, such as his father loved verse 18 and he came in to his father and said my father and he said here. My, who art thou, my son, and Jacob said it was father. I'm Esau I firstborn I have done according as thou just may arise.

I pray decent need of my venison, that my soul may bless, and Isaac said into us on how is it that has found it so quickly. My son and he said because the Lord thy God brought it to me how much. Now is lying. Now he's blaspheming God. Verse 21, and Isaac said to Jacob, come near. I pray that I may feel the my son whether they'll be my very son Esau or not it.

Jacob went near and Isaac his father and he felt him felt what Rebecca took that goatskin and made real thick hairy things to put on his arm so that when when Isaac his eyes were just about gone.

When he felt his arms. They felt hairy like he Salzman he thought. Well guess this must be Esau.

Verse 22 and Jacob went near and Isaac his father and he fell him and said the voice is Jacob's voice but the hands are hands of Esau, and he discerned him, not because his hands were here. Yes, his brother, Esau stands so he blessed him and he said, art thou, my very son Esau and he said I am and he said bring it near to me and I will eat of my sons venison, that my soul may bless thee any brought it near to him and he did eat and he brought him wine and he drank verse 26 are almost done.

His father Isaac said and come near noun kiss me. My son and he came near and kissed him, and he smelled the smell of his raiment blessed him, and said see the smell of my son is as the smell of a field which the Lord has blessed everyone out to get the goats. That's what smell like outside.

Verse 28 therefore God give thee of the dew of heaven, and the fatness of the earth, and plenty of corn and wine let people serve the nations bow down to the and he continues with the blessing. Look at verse 30 and it came to pass as soon as Isaac had made an end of blessing, Jacob, and Jacob was yet scars gone out of the presence of Isaac his father that Esau his brother came in from his hunting. He also had made savory meat brought it in and was father and son was father let my father arise in need of his sons venison that by so may bless me and Isaac his father said in him, who art thou, any said I my son I firstborn Esau and Isaac trembled very exceedingly, and said where is he had taken venison, and brought it to me and I have eaten before thou came as in a bless down EA and he shall be blessed, and when Esau heard the words of his father.

He cried with a grade and exceeding cry and said unto his father blessed me even me. Also, my father and he said, thy brother came with subtlety and have taken away thy blessing bother such an interesting story and we we are familiar with the Lord bless us as we look at this as it pertains to mothers and Lord, I pray you help us this morning in your name we pray.

Amen mother's classroom. I guess that oftentimes you you can learn how to do something by finding out how not to do it, and mothers, may I humbly say I could never begin to tell you how to be a mother would want to begin to tell you how to be a mother. I have no idea how to be a mother. I'm still trying to learn to be a father but may I say this is is one story where you can find out what not to do.

You say I don't know if you see the thing we always say Jacob deceiver Jacob, the deceiver Jacob is a connivers. Jacob was a schemer because I ask you something wasn't really his fault was the first person that started the process.

Mom Rebecca comes in and she was determined to get her son Jacob blessed. She wanted him to have the blessing was her favorite and she love the most and she thought of a planet seeking Jacob with that plan. As she started the railing and she helped him along the process and I could not even it would take too long. This morning to try to tell you what happen because of what was done. Jacob and Esau were bitter enemies. After that, Esau was determined to kill Jacob that went all the way up until finally Jacob wrestled with an angel.

The Bible said in all night long. Jacob wrestled with an angel from heaven in the Bible said the next morning when the sun came up that the wrestling match was over and Jacob came out of that different not only different spiritually but different physically.

Now he would limp the rest of his life because the Bible says that Angel touched his thigh and now the rest of his life. Jacob walk with a limp God change his name to Israel because Jacob who had been a schemer now had struggled with God and from then on it was different and that God use that to turn Esau's heart because Esau couldn't kill a cripple. Now that would look bad on Esau beheaded his brother so much but now he was maimed and now he would look like a jerk to do that to his brother and that begin the process of bringing Jacob and Esau back to where they were supposed to be all these things that transpire all the hurt feelings.

All the people that were killed because this one of deception. Mother's classroom before things I noticed in the story, but I want to challenge you mothers. And I say this way mothers you don't have any idea how important you are. I think you have an idea but even us husbands know how important you are. We as husbands know what it means to our children what you do only we, as husbands even if we don't voice it like we should, we see how our kids watch you and need you and how you impact our children what you notice number one in the story. I see this integrity. Rebecca failed to teach integrity. She came up with the deception she came up with this scheme and can I say this first under that this morning. Your children are watching you there watching mom, can I say this, that sometimes you think God is building my kids are listening and I just don't think they get it a listen to me. I want to know something they are watching kids watch for honest Baywatch when you get on the phone if you tell little white lie on the phone. If somebody calls and and and and and somebody zero somebody calls and her husband answered the phone and you're sitting there in your kids watch and the husband says take some of those on the phone and you sectors tell mom I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm in the shower. Tell not here. Kids watch that Rebecca failed to teach Jacob integrity leading Angel Churchill said this, there is no way to be a perfect mother but there's a million ways to be a good one. Can I say this mom's. I challenge you, you impact your kids more than anybody if you will have integrity, even if it doesn't seem there listening, even of adenosine there watching, even if the husband doesn't have integrity, even if the other family don't have integrity if you as a mom will have integrity if you do what's right with your honor conflict will be honest and clean and pure before God hundred tell you. Your children are watching you. Nothing gets by them. By the way, your kids watch how you treat your husband Baywatch.

Then watch how you treat and talk about others then watch it when you sit at the dinner table when you rip apart the preacher they listen Baywatch when you rip apart this lady in charge and that lady in charge of this person in charge. Kids watch that, you agree with me say amen start order. They watch how you treat leadership. They watch when there's a sarcastic comment but maybe somebody leadership made to the boss at work.

Maybe this or that was semi folks kids are watching second your children are wanting you say what you mean.

Listen to me whether you know it or not, your children want you to do right there is something inside of a child that they want their mom and dad to be people they can respect and look up to listen to me. I want to get this they might not want to do right, but they want their mom and dad to do right there might be times where your child is a lot like they want to derive a cannot tell you they want to have that comfort, even though the buck to get shipped even though they fight you even know they want to rebel. There's something comforting about knowing that my mom has integrity and she's never going to change your children want but cannot say this. Oftentimes they might tell you but they don't know they don't really want a buddy they want to parent. Then Alonso might let them get by with everything they want somebody that will stand up when they do wrong. Kids want that and they need that all mothers are working mothers. Kids want to have structure and rules of the luxury my Kindle for yes he does and he needs it.

It was as funny. You know, I can't say what he said it was very funny. No men go through stages at Walmart start off as a child you want to go to the toy section then you little bit don't want to go to the sports section.

Then he killed it overnight, guttural car you want to go to the automotive section, then you have a house and you want to go to the house section and then you get a little bit older and use in the car when a life there and he really don't want to go back to the toy section. Could you start losing it. You know it's embarrassing we will go towards lady-year-old male, and that's what anyway were sitting there. That lady was pushing his kid in the grocery store and she can't give me the demon you been to grocery stores with that is probably mine you know of mine and I get in the life And if you don't stop I'm to spank you.

You don't stop I'm good to spank you. I'm going to spank you. I'll one. I'll do, I'll 35. You don't stop I'm good to spank you kids have us trained all they know that August bank of the probably I'll 13 they know whether to get 100 warnings in their mom's problems longer to spank you to do whatever… You know this is this is my dad. You know you know you either love them or whatever he misses is my dad probably not.

I'll save my dad went to reset male units make more you want me to know you can tell this happen years ago this would happen nowadays lady said, well, would you he said yes, I'll be glad to the boy out of the thing. Something else and I usually go by and see that I would think is true, but it's true. Guess what happened about. I'll 12, my dad walking down the aisles and somebody comes to grab his hand.

That little boy and got down off that bug you found my dad walked around with him why kids want somebody they can respect. Moms want to encourage you here this morning. You just stay strong you keep integrity. You do what's right you say yeah but they just find everything. I just can't listen. You just keep having integrity because it makes a difference. Your children are watching and your children are wanting second thing she failed to teach Jacob was.

This was influence Rebecca had influence on Jacob.

She comes to them and she says hey, if you will do this because I got the plan you will get this and what it Jacob do, he did exactly what she said literally. Rebecca influence Jacob to do what was wrong how the benefit to have your mother influence you to do what's wrong how bad after all. Mother tell you to do something totally contrary to what God wants. But it happens every day, say why should I have integrity like you mentioned before me today why you have integrity because we have so much influence you see mom. That's why it's so important, have integrity because you got more influence than you realize you have are the same.

We all heard mom is not in my mom is not happy.

Nobody is happy. That's the truth that is not happy to go to the garage that mom is not happy. There's nowhere you can go she'll find you and you will be happy when she gets there just now about an outbuilding instilled in work.

Someone said this mothers holder children's hands for a short while, but their hearts forever. Listen to me under this thing of influence in which know this.

The impact won't be seen until later. Moms want to know something the impact you have on your kids will not be seen till later you say yeah, but I've tried in the distance a bolus to make the impact you have on your children will probably not be seen till later. Dr. William Tim Asad said an interesting phrase.

This is good. You don't really understand human nature unless you know why a child on a merry-go-round will way that his parents every time around. Listen and why his parents will always way back mothers you influence your kids in the impact you have on your kids life will probably not be seen till later, we have no idea how our actions influence our children. Second thing is this the importance of your influence will be realized until it's too late to see what happens. Often times I've had moms come to me and other kids are grown, they have their own kids and they say well if I had it all over again. How I would do this and I would I would've thought a mess and I would've made sure that they knew this is a listen to me. By the time you get to the point in your life that you realize the importance of your influence is often too late. So just take it from where from Formosa from God way, but his body listen to me just just take this to heart.

It's important to important thoughts on this quote was interesting. A mother is a person who, seeing there only four pieces applied for five people suddenly announces she never really cared for by some other you know what that is, a mother doing that as a mother influencing how many of you would say that your mother your mother now and some of you can say this, and don't be embarrassed, but how many would say your mother is the most unselfish person you know just mothers. The majority of mothers that you know I watched it that just that child comes first.

That child comes first. You know, my wife probably had had to administer herself in months. You know why because that child comes first. Mothers are that way.

Listen to me mothers you will realize the importance of until it's too late can I say this, that what we do in moderation. Our children will do to access. That's why it's important for us to have integrity. That's why it's important for us to influence them correctly. Listen to me Rebecca influence Jacob Longley and Atlanta ramifications last it is. The impact will be seen until later.

The importance will be realized. Though it's too late, but the impression you leave on your child is eternal or one guy say this of others. Good parents often talk about the younger generation as if they didn't have anything to do with it.

Abraham Lincoln said this, I remember my mother's prayers and they have followed me, they have clung to me my entire life.

The impression you make on your children is eternal.

Third thing is this principle of instigation. There was integrity there was influence, but third instigation, listen to me was it was that mean Rebecca was able to instigate to start to make Jacob had a certain direction.

Mothers have a gift of doing the sum you say while my mother and I wish I could have a gift to somehow instigate my husband watched as every once in a while I wish I had the somehow that the possibility instigate my kids to clean. Understand what can I say this that mothers can get you to do something nobody else can do so to this day my mom could probably give me a look and I might complain. The whole time he was going to do it because for mom and Rebecca had the chance here. Listen to instigate Jacob to do right, but she instigated him to do wrong thing is, she started the process she instigated, she motivated it number 100 is your motivation. Mom is powerful. All Rebecca did she start again the scheme and you can be blessed. You can have all this instead of your brother, and she knew I was wrong. Your motivation is powerful. Mother's love is the fuel that enables a normal human being to do the impossible. Second thing is that your methods have to be personal. What is that mean every child is different. Listen me mom you gotta figure out what motivates your child and you gotta figure out what different things you have to do for each child to motivate them to do right someday.

Something moms can instigate kids to read their Bible they can instigate kids to pray they can instigate kids to be faithful to church they can instigated you so my my my wallet solicit can still make their own decisions later, but moms you have the chance you have somehow the power to make your kids to do what's right, Rebecca, have the power to motivate Jacob to do what was wrong.

Moms every child is different.

Look at Jacob and Esau. They could've been more different and you gotta figure out your child and you gotta figure out what makes them tick and you gotta figure out how to handle them well motivate them. Listen, you know, we've got three sons K just starting to come into a personality, but can I say this I got I got two wonderful boys and they are as different as night and day. I have one son, Mona's if these are all you do is look at him and will cry and come to apologize, probably 20 times a day. He comes of this. You know that I love you then I have another one there different.

Guess what my job as a dad is guess what Julie job as a mom is to figure them out to know what makes them tick to somehow find a way to motivate them to serve God. Now they might choose different folks.

I know prayers that have done a wonderful job of motivating pointing their kids in the right direction to make their own decisions. Please don't misunderstand me. Your job isn't your job to make your child into something it's your job to teach them what's right. They make their own decisions before thing I told John going quick is this last principle of inheritance inheritance what it Rebecca do all this. She wanted Jacob to have the inheritance she wanted him to have the money she wanted him to have the land she wanted him to have the blessing she wanted him to have all the bells and whistles that come with it. What did she end up leaving him. What she wanted was all these wonderful things, but what she laughed and was a lifetime full of deception and going back and forth and being deceived and deceiving what it Jacob do we deceived and to see how to gotta get him back the Sanders uncle Laban. Laban deceived him and his wife was deceiving and being deceived and deceiving and being deceived and running from his brother Esau having a brother going to kill your entire life. God finally got Jacob the chain that she loved him. She wanted to have the land of the money in the blessing she gave him was alive because she failed to teach him integrity limitations about inheritance, parents and mom let me tell you something about inheritance money is great and boy that looks good to kids and leaving a bunch of land big four outline whatever the case might be that you can the most precious inheritance.

You could ever give them his integrity.

You see moms it might be that you can't just go took a minute night now and you never grown and they've got things on one childhood and it doesn't last very long so this quote about it was good by lady named Barbara Kingsolver. She said this. It kills you to see your kids grow, but I guess it would kill you quicker if they didn't some U.S Lycos. Anyway, we'll talk about that there's one childhood second. There's one chance you get one chance at a parent's one chance is a lot makes a mistake, that's fine. You still have a chance, but you only get one chains and you gotta understand that you gotta realize this is gonna last long. There's just one childhood, and this is my only chance. And so moms you got it. Gotta teach them what's right I got to teach them integrity. I've got to teach them the fear of God, I'm gonna teach them what the Bible says to make their own decisions and they go down a different path that I would've gone down to pray for him while they're traveling down that path that one day they'll come to their senses that God will restart again and don't come back to where they need to be louder in my house teacher what's right would be consistent to churches. Your kids are watching and their wanting is one chance is at work since humor forgot John Wilma wrote this before I got married I had six theories about bringing up children.

Now I have six children and no theories guy Lionel Kaufman said children are great comfort in your old age, and they help you reach your old age faster. One chance is there last. There's one challenge one challenge is superior does a million ways to do it. There's one challenge these in chapter 6, verse four says to bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord, that you challenge Rebecca had one chance she blew it. Rebecca could've thought of integrity. But she didn't. Rebecca didn't realize how her influence would absolutely wreck his life.

She didn't realize how how she instigated him to do something that would hurt him. She didn't leave him much of an inheritance because of the way she did.

Moms we love you.

I don't know what we do without you, but I want to challenge you. Your importance is is far beyond what you even know moms you are priceless. All of us men would be lost without you.
