He will remind you that he played for the brace but Marcello soon as got booed by his own fans over the weekend. Why he got arrested again for DUI. So I get this man out of Atlanta to the shock of absolutely nobody distal rumors going on about Kevin Durand and where you go or may not go this time. The latest team, the Memphis grizzlies despite Kevin Durant may be going on his way out the door. Kari Irving their report saying that he will stay. Dennis Rodman yes Dennis Rodman you think you hit his name so early in the show Dennis Rodman looking to be a diplomat again Lamar Jackson standing on the sidelines and we have had plenty of players in the NFL one. Fortunately have already gone down or succumb to injury or haven't been able to come back from prior injury injuries and where rolling into the final tonic games here for the preseason so we got a lot to do.

And so I just told you I'll take a couple more vacation days between now and the NFL season and maybe an NFL season. Over the next six months or so. Maybe I'll take a day if I need one here or there, but ultimately the NFL their practice there. Preseason is getting ready to come to a close and we that's sold many injuries just take place over the past few weeks just for instance, this past weekend, the New York Giants in their prized first round pick Capon Thibodeau. He went down about Thaddeus Moss. Yes, Thaddeus Moss, the sun and tight end for the Cincinnati Bengals is the son of Randy Moss Thaddeus Moss what the block Capon Thibodeau. While Capon Thibodeau went for the quarterback and he blocked the blow and it looked terrible because Thibodeau was writhing on the field holding his knee in pain. They rolled out the card he wanted no part of it and after evaluation. There is no ACL tear.

But after evaluation he will be out 3 to 4 weeks with an MCL sprain and Brian datable after the game last night. He talked about that injury to his star pupil listen well I think it's a scary time. These players work as hard as I can possibly work to try to do as well as a Canon anytime she someone on the turf. Regardless of how they got here. It's always notes it's hard as a coach to watch a guy go down Dennis is this, this is Brian datable's first chance at being a head coach, this is Brian datable's first opportunity just holding down the rains after helping to run the offense for the Buffalo Bills. You don't think he wants Capon Thibodeau out there trying to wreak havoc on the. The opposition I mean ultimately if he has to miss a couple weeks of fiesta miss the start of the regular season, then that will be okay to be final day. Anybody's going to run around and rushing back so Capon Thibodeau already missing time here with the New York Giants just par for the course. Meanwhile, he's not the only rookie to go down over the weekend because Matt corral taking on the New England Patriots over the weekend. By the way, Baker Mayfield is officially been named starter good for him, but you have Matt corral tour a ligament in his left foot looks like he's going to be gone for the entire season.

Matt ruled talked about a couple days ago and this what he had to say. I'll start off the first with the bad news about Matt corral tours of the list Frank ligament so there sport of exploring the possibility right now the options with the best doctors across country and I but should be a significant injury. I will have anything else you know this guy was to be a while as I have a doctor. The sand I'm assuming to be a significant amount of time. I don't know what exactly that is. I'm using meeting today and I was him sure he's disappointed I don't speak for him, but the just importance get stepped on. Speaking of a quarterback and he may actually come back sooner than anybody thought about or predicted happens to be Joe Barro, after suffering a ruptured appendix a Shepherd actually looks like he will be ready to go for September 11 against the Steelers, we have to see was that sharp. I just a good for him.

Yeah, it's appendix blows up in you be able to play football. He's been back out there with the team and I head coach Zach Taylor. He talked about Joe Burrell getting ready for week 1 We Got Your Point Pl. now is as we narrow down the, what is gonna look like over this week we feel like a good grasp on the timeline of the restaurant and what what we can do on offense to make sure that he's getting all the all the looks he needs to see you before it is premised ready for week one season and so we trust we dolled out every practice and in here I have a conversations about how many options we have left to make sure we check all the boxes before you wanted and we feel very coffin that will build that if you prepare going to that game.

And this is Dennis Allen a couple weeks ago. He actually sounded optimistic about what Michael could bring to the team this year. It looks like a drowning back in the form like he was prior to the injury was certainly there still a progression that were going through with with that player but he's incorporated himself into some some team drills say some physical contact cabinet out there and and continues to line up again so I like words that you are well.

That was a couple weeks ago and now he is where he's been the past two years parked. Listen on low on the doctor. But I know couple of basic things about anatomy hamstring connected to the leg.

The leg connected to the need need connected to the cath cath connected to the ankle and not yet anybody could pull a hamstring doesn't have anything to do with the ankle. But Michael Thomas Mann, timbre and strength that tight oh I hope he comes back. But here's the other thing about hamstrings. Your guys will already hurt still hurt and you have guys who are just trying to get into their first NFL regular-season game somebody like Capon Thibodeau. He might be on the delay and so this is just door these are just hazards for the job. Somebody is always going to go down somebody's always going to get hurt. There is no perfect science to NFL preseason. Besides, hey, you don't go out there and play you can get hurt and practice. So this is just the nature of the game.

The nature of the NFL. You always want to see the best players out there, but the reality is working to go to the season.

Somebody's going to get hurt.

People gonna get busted up in week six and 15 and 16. For most cases, at least if the injuries are early you can try to come back and and peak late. It's a hard knock life, especially man. I think those if you have a look at the, the top candidates for young QB's to go out and really lead the way it's it's those dudes show Borough looks like he's gonna get paid just in Herbert looks like the next quarterback those of the next two guys to get the major money outside of obviously Lamar Jackson will talk about Lamar later on in the show, but those of the young guys and Lamar if it wasn't so much for his his style. I think you could put him in that category.

But God knows how long he's gonna last everybody else and you got some improvements. He would trouble Lawrence can do, my ready to throw him in that category. And so he actually may be comes off the second season that solid and so we'll see what happens.

It's crazy every time every day I look at the calendar and I see whatever the day date might be unlikable, damn, it's this Monday, August 22 and I just have to I got a blank and go where wet weather the time fly, and so were getting closer to the start of the NFL regular-season. We gotta get through one more game and will get through the holiday Labor Day and then boom will be staring right into September also means will be staring right into the major league baseball playoffs. It means that will be staring right into the World Series means will be staring into the start of the NBA season, but let me not rush things to damn fast. We gotta take our time in and see what happens throughout the rest of the NFL preseason and what happens really throughout the rest of the summer as we are now once of the the stretch run for the major league baseball and as a part of that, you know, right before but the break I told you about all the injuries and players will be MIA and missing in action for little while cave on Thibodeau out 3 to 4 weeks show Borough returning from his is appendix being removed. Matt corral wasn't probably going to see the field at all. Anyway, this season probably. And you know he has a tear in his foot, and that's part of the game you go out there.

Okay fine doesn't matter what sport but then there's some things where you just go will damn you do have a little bit of control over other things like not hurting other people not potentially hurting people when you're away from the field or from the ballpark and someone who cannot get his damn act together.

Someone who you would think had a life changing experience last year is not the most gigantic of stars, but most people would know who he is or he thinks you would.

His name is Marcello Zona. He plays right here in Atlanta for the Braves. He signed with the team in 2020. In the cold that year and he had an amazing season in the truncated amount of games 18 homeruns 56 RBIs. He batted 338 okay leave at 338 all year if they played a full season at maybe not. Amazing season.

Nonetheless, he was able to parlay that into a four-year $65 million contract.

This is someone was a two-time All-Star in Miami spent some time with the cards and infer the Braves and they won the World Series last season, but Marcello Zona was not around. Why, because early in the season.

He was arrested and charged with what basically beaten up on his wife. The cops witnessed it and charges were dropped after he completed a diversion program were talking about supervision of family violence intervention program 200 hours of community service anger management courses. All of this and then you know they suspended him for 20 games in addition to all the time. He missed last year, of which he only played the beginning of the season we play 48 games. He was gone all last year and so he goes through all this has the charges dropped and I mean damn Marcello Zona.

He couldn't stay out of trouble. It took him almost the full season this go-round.

But on Friday early Friday morning. Someone who got in trouble last year, missed all of the season for roughing up his wife. This man Marcello Zona. He founded the additional trouble this time, not at the house, not at the field but on the road. Osuna was arrested for D you I and if you want to hear someone of stature. If you want to hear someone who's a celebrity. If you want to hear somebody famous try to get away from things. This is what Marcello Zona sounded like courtesy of Fox live in Atlanta. This is the police and police can Marcello, one of the make sure that you knew who he was less than half thought is cross you,, also a recent stop in your speed on this robot in your own pretty fast speed limit is 45 and he was arrested and in the video of this ease strongly handshake the police officer and dapple mop well yeah I'm Osuna from the brace. Oh I'm sorry my man out in I do know I can't go speeding.

He sounds like someone who was doing a lot of drinking on a Friday morning or Thursday night and so unfortunately due to the Braves lack of player availability Marcello Zona played Sunday at home at truest park in front of the home town fans. The Braves ultimately lost to the Houston Astros 5 to 4 but Osuna was getting booed after his strikeout that Osuna was getting booed at home to me tell you something. It takes a lot here in Atlanta to get booed. But I guess when you are accused and pretty much does video evidence that you roughing up your wife when you're out here just catching DUIs right after a while you're pretty much on probation and then you're getting an opportunity to play. He got booed and so after the loss Braves manager who by the way, help lead the team to the World Series brine snicker.

He was asked by the media. Hey this man just got arrested on Friday here in Atlanta. Why the hell did you have to mount the on Sunday. That's what snicker said meeting was when a conversation I strongly plan now. I was just I didn't want Eddie to play and want Eddie with his hamstring to play.

Ronald was going to DH so you play somebody (and the total Marcello Mina psyche you always part of this TBD piece going up playlist file I thought he would go out.

The owner then right-handers and hello success of the starter so now and nothing like that is on our team right now is a member of our team organ playing as needed. Okay. Well, there was a full expectation that the Braves were pretty much did Sam but not as of right now.

Marcello Zona is currently not on the field he was not in the starting lineup and so with it tends to be seen or what we have to see when he plays again in play last year accordingly was hurt last year and we saw Rosario and and also so later who's not on the team anymore.

We saw them just help the Braves win the World Series and so I don't know if you can have a look. Have him all Osuna back onto the field when it came down to the booster's response was I can't worry about it.

I disappointed my family. I disappointed the team and who knows if we'll see him in the Braves uniform again. I don't I don't know if the fans will go for. Is that going to be the case. I mean we can look at our course on those names we don't want to say it's almost a dirty word. At this point but Sean Watson $230 million guaranteed, Murray same contract. Only $160 million guarantee and so how long will what's the length of Lamar's contract. We don't know what he wants every single dollar he wants every single penny.

I don't know if it's going to go down that way but I do believe he's going to stick around with the ravens for a few more years so I even if they don't come to a conclusion on the contract.
